Hur skolsköterskor upptäcker samt stödjer elever med psykisk ohälsa på högstadiet / How school nurses detects and supports students with mental illness in high school

Nilsson, Cecilia, Gabrielsson, Linda January 2018 (has links)
Background: The school nurse is part of the student health care and is working to promote students physical and mental health. Ãlgebra linear no ensino mÃdio / Linear algebra in high school

Alex de Souza MagalhÃes 16 May 2014 (has links)
In this work, we will make a presentation of Linear Algebra in high school this alternative form. In this way, the introduction of the concepts of vector space and afine variety, which are introduced through the study of matrices and linear systems, will be proposed. Thus the arrays appear as elements of a vector space and the solution set of a linear system as an ane variety. This text will not be addressed the idea of determinants,we believe this can be without much damage, withdrawal of the mathematical curriculum of basic education.

Constructing places of resistance and non-participatory identities in a secondary school undergoing radical change

Ralph, Thomas January 2016 (has links)
This thesis is an ethnography that took place in an ‘underperforming’ school in the South of England. The school is located on a deprived estate, taking its pupils from an area in the bottom quintile with regard to deprivation indicators, and regularly features at the bottom of local league tables. Recently converted to academy status, the school was in the process of being rebuilt. The school in question is seen as abject by the broader community and features a large number of disruptive and disaffected students. The overarching research questions that this study focuses on are: What kind of person do resistant pupils want to be recognised as and what kind of place do they want school to be? Within this, the thesis examines how students develop an identity of non-participation as well as how they act in order to make their voice heard and affect the nature of the place they are in. In order to investigate these questions the paper draws on the work of Foucault (1979, 1982, 2003) who suggested that in order to understand how power relations work it is necessary to investigate resistance rather than trying to understand power from the perspective of its own rationality. This approach is useful since students in school do not resist specific institutions or groups, but specific instances of power personified by those that they come into immediate contact with on a day to day basis. It also mobilises concepts of space and place developed by Doreen Massey (2005) and Tim Ingold (2008) whereby space is a product of interrelations permanently under construction as opposed to simply a surface and place becomes a product of these intersections within the wider power geometry of space. This is particularly relevant to the context of a failing school, seen as abject by the surrounding community and struggling to maintain any improvement. The concept of voice as defined by Nick Couldry (2010) and the students’ belief that they lack control over their lives in school is also key in terms of understanding the motivations for their resistance. The thesis argues that the fact that the school is gradually being demolished and rebuilt is seen as a threat as well as an opportunity by the participants. Since the school was intimately bound up with their identity, the changes made were an assault on their identity. However, the cracks opened up by the construction work offered them opportunities to carve out places for themselves. The participants suggest that the lip service paid to student voice by the school is a key issue in causing students’ resistant behaviour. The students in the study find that their agency is denied by the school and this, coupled with their desire to be seen as adults with legitimate opinions about their schooling, results in their resistant behaviour.

Characterization of the child’s academic performance in the absence of at least one parent. Case: Milagro City / Caracterización del desempeño académico del escolar en ausencia de al menos uno de sus padres. Aproximación desde el caso Milagro

Arias Guevara, Liliana 10 April 2018 (has links)
I made this research to help children of Milagro City, Ecuador. Here, there is a high proportion of school students without their parents at home. It was possible todefine, by mathematical methods, the typical student’s characteristics, his typical family, and a typical situation at classroom according to the reasons of the absence (in a state school or in a private school) and some aspects about his recuperation; however you should not forget that this information is only a reference because each student is a different case to be entirely analyzed. This research could be repeated in other cities.

Předčasné odchody žáků ze střední školy / Early leavings students'at school

Kalašová, Renata January 2020 (has links)
The main topic of this dissertation is the phenomenon of premature exits from high-school studies which more often end by the really finish of studies. The problem is bigger that it seems to be and it is not only the problem just for education but it is the problem for the whole society with connetions to the economic, psychology, sociology and other areas. The term of this disseration is not only to determine the premature exits from high schools, their reasons and connections but to determine the pupil's personality from the evolutionary psychology view. The parts of this dissertation are also my own experiences and special arrangements to stop the premature exits from abroad. In the theoretical part I take the extract not only from the professional literature but my other sources are professional magazines, the National Education Institute and the Education Law. The practical part is based on the empirical research which is divided into few parts. It uses the quantitative research made by the data from the school register, and it is added of questionnaire for pedagogues, headmasters and new coming students. From the research we know that the premature exits mostly apply to the apprentices. It depends mostly on the disinterest in the course of study. In this part I connected the research with the...

Výskyt rizikového chování u žáků 2. stupně základních škol v Praze 5 / Occurrence of risk behavior of studenst of the 2nd grade of primary schools in Prague 5

Kudličková, Dagmar January 2021 (has links)
(in English): In my work I deal with the occurrence of risk behavior of students of the 2nd grade of primary schools (in Prague 5). In the first, theoretical part of this work I deal with the explanation of concepts that relate to the issue and form the basis of the work. These theoretical findings are applied in the second, practical part, in which I am interested in whether the students of the 2nd grade are sufficiently informed about the manifestations of risk behavior, whether they are already in some form, whether in the school environment or outsider it, and also which manifestation of risk behavior is currently most pronounced in schools. In my work I also try to point out the short comics of the minimum preventive programs of primary schools. These data are read from the annual reports of primary schools, for a period of 2 years. For my work, I chose quantitative research, which includes a larger number of respondents, specifically online questionnaires. I chose students of the 8th and 9th grades of primary schools in Prague 5, because I find this target group is the most endangered by risk behavior.

The effect of pre-service teaching on student achievement using a co-teaching model at an elementary school in a large, urban school district in central Florida

McHale, Walton 01 January 2015 (has links)
This study was focused on the effect of pre-service teaching utilizing a co-teaching model on student achievement at an elementary school in a large, urban school district in central Florida. The contribution of university student teachers (i.e., interns) to elementary school achievement was investigated. Specifically explored was the difference between student achievement scores in classes with interns who participated in a co-teaching model and interns in classes that did not employ any structured approach to intern teaching. The researcher compared seven classes that employed co-teaching, where the university intern teacher and master teacher remained in the class conducting instruction, to seven classes that had a more traditional approach to the intern teaching. The co-teaching intern model did not exert a significant effect, either positive or negative, on student achievement. Also investigated was the effect of an intern, utilizing any model, on student achievement scores, when compared to similar classes without the presence of an intern. The study utilized 14 classes with interns and 13 classes without interns; each group had populations of approximately 285 students. The presence of an intern did not exert a significant effect, either positive or negative, on student achievement. However, the data indicated that the presence of an intern could positively influence mathematics scores. Additionally, the impact of teacher quality and socio-economic status on student achievement in reading and mathematics were explored. The data revealed the value of the individual teacher significantly affected student success in reading and mathematics. In reading, socio-economic status also significantly affected student achievement.

The Impact of Video Modeling Combined with Skillstreaming Teaching Procedures on the Social Interaction Skills of Middle School Aged Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders

Kocaoz, Onur 01 January 2015 (has links)
This purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of an intervention package that combined Skillstreaming procedures for the development of social skills with the use of video modeling for middle school students identified with ASD. Specifically, the purpose of this study was to determine if the video modeling intervention package has an impact on social skill performance of three middle school-aged students with ASD. A multiple probe design across participants was employed to assess the effects of the video modeling intervention package on two beginning social skills (i.e., initiate greetings and initiate a conversation). The participants were three middle school-aged students with ASD enrolled in a self-contained classroom. The dependent variable was the percentage of correct social skills components performed when greeting the teacher and initiating a conversation within in the first 10 minutes of class each morning. The independent variable was an intervention package that included video modeling and direct instruction for each social skill component with Skillstreaming procedures (i.e., modeling, role playing, feedback). The results of this research indicated that all three students improved their social skills performance following the implementation of the video modeling intervention package. Furthermore, during the maintenance phase, the social skills performance of each student was maintained. Recommendations for further study and for teachers of students with ASD are presented.
