The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse the Heidegger's daseinsanalysis. I focus in particular on a description of its roots and basics, that it originates from. Furthemore I refer to its philosophical fundament and its practical application to a psychotherapy, where it helps patients to grasp their lost life balance and orientation. I choose this topic because it is related to my bachelor's thesis, that is named "Sense of life and current human" . The daseinsanalysis also discusses the position of the human in the world and his being and searching of the life's meaning. In the contemporary global world full of disagreements and conflicts and the hectic pace of modern life, more and more people deal with the psychological or neurotic problems, more and more people search for their place in the world. Thanks to their inability to deal with these problems by their own strengths, they subsequently seek the help of psychologists. There the daseinsanalysis comes into play in the form of an individual or a group therapy. I reckon Edmund Husserl and Martin Heidegger, whose philosophical theories helped to create roots for the development of the daseinsanalysis, among the most influential representatives of the daseinsanalysis's development. However, what is universal in human beings is the search for the meaning of death, and religiosity has a leading role in this process. In view of the above considerations, two studies were conducted in order to understand the relationship between religious beliefs, sense of life and attitudes towards death. The first study had the objective of validating an instrument of religious beliefs. To achieve that, we relied on a sample of 126 participants, respondents were 8,7% from the Christian Conscience s Meeting, 56,5% from the New Consciousness s Meeting and 34.8% were students of Science of Religions from UFPB and 51.6 % were female. To collect data we used the Scale of Religious Beliefs, proposed for this study, and a socio-demographic questionnaire. The result suggested its factorial validity distinguishing two factors called Occidental Belief and Oriental Belief. The precision of the scales was satisfactory (α> 0.70), indicating the relevance of this measure as an index to measure religious beliefs. The second study aimed to investigate the relationship between beliefs and the perception of sense in life, identify the associations between beliefs and attitudes towards death and, finally, to verify the relationship between perception of sense and attitudes towards death. The sample consisted of 121 participants, that 57% were female. Respondents were 5% from the Christian Conscience s Meeting, 61.1% from the New Consciousness s Meeting and 33.9% were students of Science of Religions from UFPB. For collecting data we used three scales: religious beliefs, Sense of Life Questionnaire and Profile of Attitudes Against Death, in addition we inserted an socio-demographic instrument. The results suggested that the sense of achievement was directly associated with the occidental belief, while the search for meaning is a correlates positively with oriental belief. The conception of finitude in occidental belief is understood by religious acceptance and escape, but in the oriental belief this result was the opposite. And the greater the sense of accomplishment the perception of death is accepted by a religious vision and less understood as fear and avoidance, and the greater the search for meaning greater the perception of death as fear. The results were discussed based on the theory of Viktor Frankl as well as from the fundamentals of the conceptions of science of religions. / A morte faz parte do ciclo vital do ser humano sendo interpretada por meio da cultura, dos valores e das crenças religiosas. Contudo, o que há de universal no ser humano seria a busca de sentido da morte, tendo a religiosidade um papel preponderante nesse processo. Tendo em vista as considerações supracitadas, foram realizados dois estudos buscando compreender a relação entre crenças religiosas, sentido de vida e as atitudes perante a morte. O primeiro estudo teve por objetivo validar um instrumento de crenças religiosas. Para tanto, contou-se com uma amostra de 126 participantes, que foram 8,7% do Encontro da Consciência Cristã, 56,5% do Encontro da Nova Consciência e 34,8% foram estudantes de Ciência das Religiões na UFPB e 51,6% do sexo feminino. A amostra foi composta por 121 participantes, sendo 57% do sexo feminino. Os entrevistados eram 5% do Encontro da Consciência Cristã, 61,1% do Encontro da Nova Consciência e 33,9% foram estudantes de Ciência das Religiões na UFPB. Para a coleta de dados foram utilizados três escalas: Escala de crenças religiosas, Questionário de Sentido de Vida e o Perfil de Atitudes Perante a Morte, sendo acrescido um instrumento sócio-demográfico. Os resultados sugeriram que a realização de sentido se associou diretamente com a crença ocidental, enquanto que a busca de sentido se correlaciono positivamente com a crença oriental. A concepção da finitude na crença ocidental é compreendida através da aceitação religiosa e escape, na crença oriental esse resultado foi inverso. E quanto maior é a realização de sentido a percepção de morte é aceita em uma visão religiosa e menos compreendida como evitação e medo e quanto maior for a busca de sentido maior será a percepção de morte como medo. Os resultados foram discutidos à luz da teoria de Viktor Frankl bem como a partir dos fundamentos das concepções acerca das ciências das religiões.

Previous issue date: 2015-01-05 / Religious beliefs and practices constitute as much as coping sources of stressful situations, such as ways to find directions on life in human aging phase. In this perspective this study aimed to identify the impact finitude awareness in evaluative structure in the elderly, and the following objectives: To investigate the relationship between the ontological sense of time (past, present and future) and the religious attitude; Examine the relationship between meaning in life and religious attitudes. Finally, he sought to know the magnitude of the influence of human values, religious attitudes and the perception of time in search of meaning and presence of seniors in long-stay institutions. The research was to approach the quantitative method characterized as a field correlational study in which 50 elderly participated in the survey with an average age of 76.58 years (SD = 9.49; range 60 to 105 years), most It was female (72%). All answered a set of six questionnaires: demographic partner; questionnaire of basic values; questionnaire sense of life; questionnaire of basic values (finitude version); scale religious attitude; scale ontological perception of time. Regarding the general objective, the results suggest an impact on the evaluative structure in elderly when the setting of the finiteness is inserted. Already in relation to the first specific goal, it was found that the perception of sense in this was significantly associated with knowledge, behavior, feelings and religious corporeality. With regard to the past, only the corporeality was associated with this variable and, finally, with respect to the future, both religious knowledge and religious behavior correlated with this factor. On the second specific goal, the results suggest that the presence of sense correlates with the knowledge, behavior and religious sentiment. Already the search for meaning is associated directly with the religious knowledge and religious corporeality. Finally, with respect to the ultimate goal, it was found that the variables: perception of the present and the Sub existence together explained 37% of variance to explain the presence of meaning while religious knowledge and suprapersonal Sub contribute together 34 % of the variance to explain the search for meaning. The results were discussed in light of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis of Viktor Frankl. / As crenças e práticas religiosas se constituem tanto como fontes de enfrentamento de situações estressantes, como vias para encontrar sentidos na vida na fase do envelhecimento humano. Nesta perspectiva esse estudo teve como objetivo geral identificar o impacto da consciência da finitude na estrutura valorativa nos idosos, e como objetivos específicos: Averiguar a relação entre a percepção ontológica do tempo (passado, presente e futuro) e a atitude religiosa; Examinar as relações entre o sentido na vida e as atitudes religiosas e por fim, procurou conhecer a magnitude da influência dos valores humanos, das atitudes religiosas e da percepção do tempo na busca e presença de sentido de idosos em Instituições de Longa Permanência. A pesquisa teve como abordagem o método quantitativo caracterizado como um estudo correlacional de campo no qual participaram da pesquisa 50 idosos com a média de idade de 76,58 anos (dp=9,49; amplitude de 60 anos a 105 anos), a maioria era do sexo feminino (72%). Todos responderam a um conjunto de seis questionários: sócio demográfico; questionário dos valores básicos; questionário sentido de vida; questionário dos valores básicos (versão finitude); escala de atitude religiosa; escala de percepção ontológica do tempo. No que se refere ao objetivo geral, os resultados sugerem um impacto na estrutura valorativa nos idosos quando o cenário da finitude é inserido. Já no que tange ao primeiro objetivo específico, constatou-se que a percepção de sentido no presente se associou significativamente com o conhecimento, o comportamento, o sentimento e a corporeidade religiosa. No que se refere ao passado, apenas o corporeidade se associou com essa variável e, por fim, no que tange ao futuro, tanto o conhecimento religioso quanto o comportamento religioso se correlacionaram com esse fator. Sobre o segundo objetivo específico, os resultados sugerem que a presença de sentido se correlaciona com o conhecimento, o comportamento e o sentimento religioso. Já a busca de sentido se associa diretamente com o conhecimento religiosos e com a corporeidade religiosa. Por fim, com relação ao último objetivo, constatou-se que as variáveis: percepção do presente e a subfunção existência, juntas explicaram 37% da variância para explicar a presença de sentido enquanto que o conhecimento religioso e a subfunção suprapessoal contribuem, juntas, 34% da variância para explicar a busca de sentido. Os resultados foram discutidos à luz da Logoterapia e Análise Existencial de Viktor Frankl.

[pt] Na presente pesquisa, o objetivo é apresentar uma contribuição da espiritualidade cristã para a redescoberta do sentido da vida. O estudo está estruturado em três partes. Na primeira, foram analisadas a Modernidade e Pós- Modernidade com seus desdobramentos, desafios e provocações para este tempo. Adentrou-se também na temática da espiritualidade, propondo-a como uma via de abertura ao transcendente, apresentando uma definição de espiritualidade cristã e o perigo de uma espiritualidade intimista. Na segunda parte, foram abordadas a espiritualidade inaciana e seus fundamentos basilares, analisando-se parte por parte o Princípio e Fundamento, suas contribuições e aplicações para os dias atuais. Na terceira parte, o foco foi para a atualização da espiritualidade inaciana por meio de parte da reflexão teológica de Karl Rahner e de alguns documentos do Papa Francisco. Ambos apresentam, na prática, algumas contribuições que a espiritualidade de Santo Inácio pode oferecer. Por esse caminho, propôs-se a contribuição da espiritualidade cristã para a redescoberta do sentido da vida, tendo como referência principal uma de suas vertentes: a espiritualidade inaciana. / [en] In this research, the objective is to present a contribution of Christian spirituality to the rediscovery of the sense of life. The study is structured in three parts. In the first one, Modernity and Post-Modernity were analyzed with their consequences, challenges and provocations for this time. The theme of spirituality was also explored, proposing it as a way of opening to the transcendent, presenting a definition of Christian spirituality and the danger of an intimate spirituality. In the second part, Ignatian spirituality and its basic foundations were addressed, analyzing the Principle and Foundation, its contributions and applications for the present days, part by part. In the third part, the focus was on updating Ignatian spirituality through part of Karl Rahner s theological reflection and some documents of Pope Francis. Both present, in practice, some contributions that the spirituality of St. Ignatius can offer. In this way, the contribution of Christian spirituality to the rediscovery of the sense of life was proposed, having as its main reference one of its aspects: Ignatian spirituality.

The first part of my Diploma Thesis is dedicated to dying, it focuses on the perspective of the dying person. It also deals with the essential topics as hospice and palliative care. The second part tries to analyse ethically and evaluate in what sense is dying activity or inactivity and what possible moral attitudes may engage dying person in process of dying. At the beginning of the second part, there are defined the key words activity and inactivity. Basically, I'm trying to use this analysis to ethnically evaluate in which sense of dying is the dying person actually conducting and in which failures to act. Then follows simple typological analysis and evalauation based on inspiring typology of German philosopher Robert Spaemann. In the final part of the Thesis there are implied some connections between dying and the problem of sense of life. The most important is the answer of this question if needs of the sense is belong to everyone (included of dying people) in the same way. Also, how important is the influence in moral attitude of actual human after the sense of life.

Previous issue date: 2015-11-28 / A velhice apresenta-se como um contexto existencial singular, o que justifica a expressão utilizada por Norbert Elias: “a solidão dos moribundos”, observada para grande número de pessoas idosas. A caracterização desse sentimento dar-se-ia pela fragilidade biológica, emocional e psicológica dos idosos. Dessa forma os idosos convivem com a passagem do tempo e a inexorável finitude de nossa existência, adquirindo uma percepção temporal mais sensível com o passar dos anos. Por outro lado, seria possível, diante desse quadro de finitude humana e aumento de fragilidades, permanecer feliz e encontrar sentido existencial, ou um motivo para ser feliz, na acepção de Frankl (1984)? Tal questionamento motivou a realização de um estudo qualitativo, baseado em histórias de vida, cujo objetivo foi analisar a percepção sobre o sentido da vida na velhice de educadoras idosas (aposentadas) residentes em cidades do interior da Bahia, maiores de 60 anos. Os dados foram coletados por meio de pesquisa qualitativa através de entrevistas narrativas abertas. A compreensão em maior profundidade oferecida pela entrevista qualitativa pode fornecer informação contextual valiosa para ajudar a explicar achados específicos (Bauer, 2003). Assim, foram feitas as seguintes perguntas disparadoras: O que é envelhecer para você? Como é estar aposentada? Fale-me sobre momentos felizes de sua vida. Fale sobre momentos difíceis que teve de enfrentar, e como você os superou. Coerentemente com a abordagem de história de vida (Oliveira, 2008), registrou-se fielmente, em áudio, a fala dos sujeitos, transcrita verbatim. As participantes do estudo são seis senhoras que foram educadoras e hoje estão aposentadas, residentes em cidades do interior da Bahia, pertencentes à classe média e praticantes do catolicismo com idades entre 60 e 92 anos. Cada participante foi entrevistada em sua própria residência. Os transcritos geraram categorias temáticas, discutidas com base na abordagem da psicologia cultural de base semiótica Zittoun (2004) do Sentido da Vida de Viktor Frankl (1984). Foram especialmente relevantes, para a interpretação dos dados, os seguintes aspectos: análise das trajetórias desenvolvimentais a partir do evento aposentadoria e viuvez, tomados como pontos de ruptura e transição; a vivência de valores sob os quais o ser humano encontra sentido em suas ações como criador: são os valores de criação; quando se entrega à experiência de algo que recebe do mundo: são os valores de vivência; e quando escolhe por atitudes afirmativas diante do sofrimento: são os valores de atitude. Essas análises permitiram a identificação de recursos materiais e simbólicos utilizados pelas participantes para enfrentarem a velhice, aposentadoria e viuvez. Nas conclusões, destaca-se a presença da vivência dos valores propostos por Frankl com a identificação de sentido de vida e inteireza existencial. / Old age is presented as a singular existential context, which justifies the expression used by Norbert Elias, "the loneliness of the dying", seen for many older people. The characterization of this feeling would give the biological fragility, emotional and psychological elderly. Thus, the elderly live with the passage of time and the inexorable finitude of our existence, acquiring a more sensitive time perception over the years. On the other hand, it would be possible, given that human finitude frame and increased fragility stay happy and find existential meaning, or a reason to be happy in the sense Frankl (1984). Such questioning led to performing a qualitative study, based on life stories, aimed to analyse the perception of the meaning of life in old age of older teachers (retired) residents in cities in the interior of Bahia, over 60 years. Data collected through qualitative research through open narrative interviews. The understanding in greater depth provided by qualitative interview can provide valuable contextual information to help explain specific findings (Bauer, 2003). Thus triggering the following questions asked. What is stale you? As is to be retired. Tell me about happy moments of your life. Talk about hard times faced and how you overcame them. In line with the life story approach (Oliveira, 2008), it faithfully recorded, audio, speech of subjects, transcribed verbatim. Study participants are six ladies who were educators and are now retired, living in cities in the interior of Bahia, belonging to the middle class and Catholicism practitioners aged between 60 and 92 years. Each participant interviewed at his own residence. Transcripts generated themes discussed based on the approach to cultural psychology semiotic base Zittoun (2004) Sense of Viktor Frankl Life (1984). They were particularly relevant to the interpretation of the data. The analysis of the developmental pathways from the retirement and widowhood event, taken as break and transition points. The experience of values in which human beings find meaning in their actions as creator: are the creation of value; when delivery to the experience of something that gets in the world: it is the experience of values; and when you choose to affirmative attitudes of suffering: it is the attitude values. These analyses allowed the identification of material and symbolic resources used by the participants to face old age, retirement and widowhood. The conclusions clearly the presence of living the values proposed by Frankl as the identification of meaning of life and existential integrity.

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo comprender las experiencias de sentido de vida de los ingresantes al movimiento Hare Krishna. El enfoque empleado para esta investigación fue de tipo cualitativo con un diseño fenomenológico Se entrevistó a 5 ingresantes a la comunidad, tres varones y dos mujeres entre 26 y 36 años. Así mismo, se optó por un análisis de contenido, que dio a vislumbrar cuatro categorías; crisis existencial, valores creativos, actitudinales y vivenciales. Los resultados mostraron que los participantes expresaron que experimentaron el sentido de vida cuando ingresaron a la comunidad. Describen situaciones que ellos afirman como reveladoras y de respuestas a sus inquietudes e insatisfacciones. / The present research aims to understand the experiences of meaning of life of the entrants to the Hare Krishna movement. The approach used for this research was of a qualitative type with a phenomenological design. Five newcomers to the community were interviewed, three men and two women between 26 and 36 years old. Likewise, a content analysis was chosen, which revealed four categories; existential crisis, creative, attitudinal and experiential values. The results showed that the participants expressed that they experienced the meaning of life when they entered the community. They describe situations that they affirm as revealing and as responses to their concerns and dissatisfactions. / Tesis

El objetivo del estudio fue describir la aceptación del duelo y la construcción de un nuevo sentido de vida en mujeres que tienen un hijo con discapacidad intelectual. Para tal fin, se desarrolló un estudio cualitativo de diseño fenomenológico. Se aplicó la técnica de la entrevista semiestructurada a diez madres cuidadoras primarias de hijos diagnosticados con discapacidad intelectual hace por lo menos cinco años. Los principales resultados muestran que, ante la llegada de un hijo con discapacidad, las madres atraviesan por un proceso de duelo en el cual renuncian al hijo ideal para aceptar al real con toda su unicidad, dándole un nuevo sentido a su vida. Se destaca que el amor y el deseo de brindarle la mejor calidad de vida a sus hijos, las impulsó a buscar y crear formas de inclusión, comprometiéndose en compartir sus ideales respecto a los valores y necesidades hallados en el transcurso de su experiencia con su hijo. Asimismo, las madres han desarrollado una mayor sensibilidad al dolor del otro, mostrando una conducta prosocial. Se concluye que luego de un periodo de dolor inevitable, han sido capaces de reestructurar su plan de vida, reemplazándolo por uno que se vincule con las necesidades reales de su hijo. / The objective of the study was to describe the acceptance of duel and the construction of a new sense of life in women who have a child with an intellectual disability. A phenomenological qualitative study was developed, ten semi-structured interviews were conducted with mothers living in Metropolitan Lima, these being the primary caregivers of children diagnosed with intellectual disability for at least five years. The main results show that when a child with a disability arrives, mothers go through a grieving process in which they renounce the dreamed child to accept the real one with all its uniqueness, giving a new meaning to their life. Here, it is highlighted that the love and desire to provide the best quality of life for their children, prompted them to seek and create forms of inclusion, committing to share their ideals regarding the values and needs found during their experience with his son. Likewise, mothers have developed a greater sensitivity to the other's pain, showing prosocial behavior. It is concluded that after a period of inevitable pain, they have been able to restructure their life plan, replacing it with one that is linked to the real needs of their child. / Tesis
