: Kvalitativ studie utifrån personalens perspektiv / Living in sheltered accommodation - what is itreally like?Qualitative study based on the staff's perspective : Qualitative study based on the staff's perspective

Naznin, Vasileta January 2023 (has links)
Honor-related violence and oppression is an extensive social problem that Social Services needs to deal with. It is characterized by great complexity that requires a deep understanding of the problem in order to offer relevant interventions. The most common decision by the Social Services in cases connected to honor-related violence is that the individual is offered sheltered accommodation in order to get rid of the violence immediately. In this degree project, the staff's perspective on the sheltered housing initiative is examined. The aim is to shed light on the experience of protected accommodation staff and the experience of clients who were exposed to honor oppression. The thesis is based on three points - the first is the staff's perception of the honor problem and sheltered accommodation. The second is the advantages and disadvantages of placement in sheltered housing and the last is the cooperation between Social Services and the sheltered housing. The result shows that the staff has significant knowledge of the honor problem, which enables an individual approach to working with the clients. Furthermore, the results indicate that the staff identify the advantages and disadvantages that arise for the clients in the sheltered accommodation. Finally, there is good cooperation between the staff and Social Services, however, there are several areas that require improvement and development. The completion of degree work is done with the help of several theories, for example the theory of grassroots bureaucrats, the theory of intersectionality, the theory of sex and gender and the theory of power.

ETT FÖNSTER AV MÖJLIGHETER : SOCIALTJÄNSTENS ARBETE FÖR ATT STÄRKA VÅLDSUTSATTA BARNS RÄTT TILL SÄKERHET

Fernando, Tatiana, Zangana, Camilla, Wirén, Hanna January 2024 (has links)
On April 1, 2024, the new proposition 2023/24:31 of the government came into effect, aiming to strengthen the rights of children and adults in sheltered housing. This qualitative study examines how social services in Skåne have worked with the reform of sheltered housing for children. The goal of this study is to contribute new criminological knowledge within the research field. Additionally, the study aims to analyze changes in how social services view children exposed to violence as legal subjects. The study also seeks to highlight the measures and strategies developed during the preparation process. This is done by investigating how the Social Services Acts have changed from before to after the reform. This change is contextualized by examining the state of sheltered housing before the reform came into effect. The research questions are addressed through semi-structured interviews with nine respondents from social services who have direct experience working with the reform. The study is conducted based on implementation theory and previous research. The results identified four main themes which are adaptation and coordination of resources, the time aspect in applying the reform for children and the vulnerable, strengthening children's rights within the framework of sheltered housing, and individualized assessment of children's needs. The results show that municipalities have prepared for the new law by developing routines and checklists, which guide them through decisions regarding sheltered housing for children. Following the implementation of the reform, the child's status as a legal subject is strengthened through an individual assessment and the assignment of a dedicated social worker. This leads to an enhanced sense of safety and security for the child. The study suggests a future evaluation of the reform to analyze how it has evolved over time. Such an evaluation could provide insights into how the legal changes are being implemented by social service professionals.

Orlíková, Michaela January 2019 (has links)
1 Abstract This work concentrates on transformation of social services, in other words, it focuses on the possibilities of disabled clients in the transition from institutional care to support provided within a community. The aim of the thesis is a deeper insight into the organization, which already deals with the above described transformation and evaluation of the positives or negatives of this process. This work has also an ambition to be at the same time a tool for those who are preparing for the transformation process and may have concerns or inadequate expectation from the planned changes. This text also evaluates the impact of transformation on the quality of life of the handicapped and the degree of gaining of independence by a subjective view of the client, five years after the beginning of the changes, and completion of the perception of these impacts by the guardian and the staff of the organization. The theoretical part of the text defines the concept of transformation, describes the transformation from the perspective of social services and describes the process of change in eight fundamental steps. It also summarizes the facts and figures of the current state, an overview of strategic documents for the transformation of social services, the possibilities of financial support for...

Det räcker inte att bara bo : En kvalitativ studie om barn på skyddat boende och insatserna de erbjuds / Housing is not enough : A qualitative study about children in sheltered housing and the services offered to them

Danielsson, Maya, Wiker, Louise January 2020 (has links)
Intimate partner violence is one of the worst forms of violence a child can experience and it can lead to trauma and health problems all the way into adulthood. When a woman leaves a relationship and is placed in a women's shelter, the children often accompany her. Children are not subject to separate placement decisions and there is no direct regulation of shelters. Does society take responsibility for these children. The aim of this study was to contribute knowledge about the services available for children who live in shelters with their mothers. We wanted to shed light on the needs of these children and their legal rights, and to see if the services offered to these children could be considered sufficient to satisfy their needs. The study was conducted through qualitative, semi-structured interviews with seven professionals who have experience with children in sheltered housing in Stockholm county. Results were analyzed using a theoretical framework composed of developmental ecology, attachment theory, and transforming care, complemented with national and international research. The results show that many children are emotionally distressed and in need of crisis intervention and trauma-focused therapy, and that they suffer from boredom at the shelters. The results also show that other important aspects that played a major role in children's recovery were the mother’s parenting competence and the chance to create normality with the help of routines, school and activities. The presence of other adults also mattered. It appears however, that there are problems in collaboration with other actors such as, among others, social services, child and adolescent psychiatry and the municipality. The services that are available to children differ greatly among shelters.

Chráněné bydlení pro osoby s fyzickým postižením / Sheltered housing for people with physical disabilities

Košťálková, Olga January 2013 (has links)

Ali, Shadan January 2020 (has links)
The essay is a qualitative study based on interviews with school curators and a student coach who in various ways in their work come into contact with girls who live in an honor culture. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the Swedish school treats girls who in one way or another live in an honor culture and how the schools work with honor issues. The research question that has formed the basis of the study was the following: How does the Swedish school respond to honor culture? The results are analyzed based on the previously presented research, Al-Baldawi's theory of the individual-centered and group-centered way of thinking, and Hylland-Eriksen's theory of the creation of a “we” and “they”. The results show that honor culture occurs within the Swedish school and is given more attention, partly because professionals have more knowledge and experience on the subject but also because the interest has increased from different quarters to investigate the phenomenon. However, all respondents agree that more and different kinds of efforts are still needed to give the girls support and help, but above all to work for prevention.

Chráněné bydlení na Kociánce. Bydlení ve městě - městská necentra a proměny periferie / Sheltered housing at Kociánka in Brno

Schwab, Viktor Unknown Date (has links)
The original intention was a development on the edge in the peripheral agricultural area of the Kociánka Center complex and at the city’s inappropriate car park near to the industrial complex of the former Královopolská engineering company. By developing and adding new functions, this periphery and the border of the complex Kociánka Center can be transformed into a new space communicating with the outside world. The proposal focuses on creating homes for shared living for adult people with various types of disabilities and creating new job opportunities on the southern peripheral edge of the Kociánka Center complex. Transformation of periphery can be reached by modifying the southern edge, revitalizing the existing car park with a hydroponic greenhouse system, pavilion, and a photovoltaic rooftop power plant. Behind this barrier building there is a calm place for sheltered housing.
