Après un état de l'art complet nous avons détaillé notre approche de services sémantiques utilisant une méthode innovante pour la composition de services, les patrons de chaînes de traitements. Notre approche est constituée d'un annuaire sémantique hybride proposant différents niveaux de correspondances entre services, de règles de compositions automatiques dans le cas où une demande de services n'est pas fructueuse et enfin d'un moteur d'exécution supportant la résolution et la composition dynamique de services. Par la suite nous avons défini une méthodologie innovante, basée sur l'utilisation de taxonomies de services permettant de peupler rapidement un annuaire sémantique de services. Pour ce faire, nous avons mis au point une ontologie de haut niveau qui permet de lier la classe d'une taxonomie avec un service abstrait annoté sémantiquement. Enfin, nous avons évalué notre prototype à partir des chaînes de traitement mises en place dans les plate-formes déployées par Cassidian. / After a complete state of the art we detailed our semantic services approach which uses an innovative method for services composition: processing chains patterns. Our approach is composed on an hybrid semantic servicers registry which propose different levels of matching between services, some composition rules when the matching phase failde and an execution engine which is able to dynamically resolve and com^pose services. In order to solve the service regitry population issue, we have designed an upper ontology, which enables links between a service taxonomy class with a semantically annotated abstract service. Finally, we have evaluated our prototype using real processing chains used by Cassidian platforms.

In der Praxis kommen diese Konzepte jedoch nicht auf der grünen Wiese zum Einsatz, sondern treffen auf gewachsene, oft heterogene Systemlandschaften in sehr unterschiedlichen Anwedungsdomänen. Ihre Umsetzung in Unternehmen muss daher durch ein geeignetes IT-Management unterstützt werden, um die versprochenen Vorteile tatsächlich zu erzielen. Ansätze wie das Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM), die sich nicht auf die IT-Sicht eines Unternehmens beschränken, sondern diese mit der Geschäftsebene koppeln, scheinen eine sinnvolle Ergänzung zu MDD und SOA zu sein.

[pt] A crescente demanda do uso de sistemas de comunicação óptica, seja pelo aumento do número de usuários ou pela quantidade de informação enviada, requer um aumento substancial na necessidade de desenvolvimento de novos sistemas e componentes. A reectometria óptica no domínio do tempo (OTDR) é a técnica mais empregada para detecção de falhas em enlaces de fibra óptica. Em alguns tipos de rede óptica, como é o caso das redes ópticas passivas (PONs), as perdas nos enlaces são muito elevadas devido à presença de splitters, que dividem o sinal para cada usuário (no cenário FTTH) ou cada grupo de usuários (FTTB / FTTA), o que diminui consideravelmente a máxima distância atingida pelo OTDR. Em termos de componentes aplicados à comunicação óptica, aqueles utilizados para a amplificação óptica são de grande importância. Entre eles estão presentes os amplificadores ópticos de semicondutores. Uma forma de vencer as limitações impostas pelas altas perdas está no emprego de um amplificador óptico semicondutor (SOA), que ao mesmo tempo amplifica o sinal e funciona como uma chave, inibindo a emissão de ASE nos intervalos entre os pulsos do OTDR. Ainda assim, o ganho adicional pode ser insuficiente devido à baixa potência de saturação do SOA. Neste trabalho, será desenvolvido experimentalmente um método para superar a limitação de saturação de um SOA e permitir maiores ganhos de amplificação para pulsos de OTDR. O conceito básico consiste em se aproveitar do fato de que o ciclo de uso de um OTDR é relativamente baixo, o que permite subdividir os pulsos em sub-pulsos, amplificá-los um a um e depois recombiná-los, de forma transparente ao OTDR. Com base na ideia proposta acima, nesta dissertação de mestrado terão avaliados métodos usando a polarização e o comprimento de onda dos pulsos. / [en] The growing demand of using optical communication systems, either by increasing the number of users or the amount of information sent, requires a substantial increase in the need to develop new systems and components. The optical time domain re ectometry (OTDR) is the most common technique for detecting faults in fiber optic links. In some types of optical network, such as passive optical networks (PONs), losses in the links are very high due to the presence of splitters that divide the signal to each user (in FTTH scenario) or each user group ( FTTB / FTTA), which considerably reduces the maximum distance reached by the OTDR. In terms of components used for optical communication, those used for optical amplification is of great importance. Among them are present optical semiconductor amplifiers. One way to overcome the limitations imposed by high losses is the use of a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA), which at the same time amplifies the signal and acts as a key, inhibiting the emission ASE in the intervals between the OTDR pulses. Still, the additional gain may be insufficient due to low saturation power SOA. This work will develop experimentally a method to overcome the limitation of saturation of an SOA and allow higher amplification gains for OTDR pulse. The basic concept is to take advantage of the fact that the use of an OTDR cycle is relatively low, which allows to split the pulses into sub-pulses, amplify them one by one and then recombine them in a transparent manner to the OTDR. Based on the idea proposed above, this master thesis will be evaluated using methods polarization and wavelength of the pulses.

Improving Alarm Interoperability with External Systems for a Wearable Command Unit Using Service-Oriented Architecture

This thesis investigates different aspects of implementing a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) for an alarm and crisis management system called Wearable Command Unit (WCU) developed by Saab Security Systems. The WCU system must be able to integrate easily with external systems in order to move into new markets and survive as a product. The focus of this report is a general solution for communicating alarm information from external systems to the WCU. A given requirement was that the solution must be based on SOA. Therefore, the concept of SOA is investigated and its applicability is considered for the WCU architecture. A design proposal based on a combination of open information and communication technologies was made to show how WCU may use SOA to receive alarm information from external systems. The design proposal was evaluated by a load test as well as comparing its conformance to SOA. The load test showed that the proposed solution can process incoming messages at a rate of 2 ms per message when client and server are run on the same machine. The result of the comparison showed that the WCU can, with small modifications, apply a SOA. While this thesis has only investigated the use of SOA in the context of alarm information, there is a clear trend toward integrating information for diverse systems to enable users to have better quality information. Providing first responders with the information that they need, when and where they need it can enable them to save lives, save property, and reduce the risk to the public of incidents. An important result from this thesis is the observation that a system that needs to integrate with many distinct systems can be better prepared if made SOA conformant. This requires the system to have an interface towards other systems based on platform independent protocols. Systems such as the WCU, which are based on Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), can easily add such an interface by configuring WCF in an appropriate way. / Detta examensarbete undersöker olika möjligheter att implementera Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) för ett larm- och krishanteringssystem kallat Wearable Command Unit (WCU) utvecklat av Saab Security Systems. För att kunna nå nya marknader och utvecklas som produkt, är det viktigt att WCU-systemet på ett enkelt sätt kan integreras med externa system. Detta examensarbete fokuserar på att ta fram en generell lösning för att kommunicera larminformation från externa system till WCU. Ett förbestämt krav var att lösningen måste vara baserad på SOA. Begreppet SOA undersöks och dess tillämpningsbarhet för WCU undersöks. Ett designförslag baserat på en kombination av öppna informations- och kommunikationsteknologier gjordes för att visa hur WCU kan använda SOA för att ta emot larminformation från externa system. Designförslaget utvärderades genom ett belastningstest, samt genom att jämföra dess konformitet med SOA. Belastningstestet visade att designförslaget kan processa inkommande larm i en hastighet av 2 ms per meddelande när klienten och servern körs på samma maskin. Resultatet av jämförelsen visade att WCU kan, med små modifieringar, implementera en SOA. Detta examensarbete har endast undersökt användandet av SOA vad gäller larminformation, men det finns även en klar tendens mot att integrera annan information ifrån olika system för att på så sätt ge användare av systemet kvalitativ information. Genom att ge framskjutna enheter lämplig information, när och där de behöver det, kan de bli bättre förberedda på att rädda liv och egendom, och samtidigt minska olycksrisken för allmänheten. Ett viktigt resultat från detta examensarbete är iakttagelsen att ett system som behöver integreras med många andra olika system kan bli bättre förberett genom att göra det SOAbaserat. För att ett system ska vara SOA-baserat krävs att det har ett gränssnitt baserat på plattformsoberoende protokoll mot andra system. System som WCU, som är baserade på Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), kan med lätthet lägga till ett sådant gränssnitt genom lämplig konfigurering av WCF.

New technologies are constantly being developedto meet both job seekers' and job providers' increasing demands. The majorityof jobseekers use the internet to find suitable jobs. Job seekers look for jobs inindividual companies' websites and through job marketplaces platforms wherejob advertisements are published. The majority of existing job marketplacesrequire companies to manually register their jobs. Consequently, this incurscosts and efforts on the companies. To address this challenge, in this thesis,we present an approach that comprises an architecture and a process whichserve as a foundation for the design of an automated job marketplace. Tovalidate the feasibility of our approach, we developed a prototype andconducted experiments to evaluate the performance and scalability of theapproach.

Arquitecturas inteligentes para gestión de sistemas ciberfísicos en ambientes IoT

La necesidad de diseñar e implementar arquitecturas inteligentes impone grandes retos que exceden las capacidades del software desarrollado hasta el momento, pues no existen arquitecturas inteligentes que se adapten a los cambios del escenario físico y tomen decisiones en tiempo real. Esto significa que uno de los retos críticos en el problema planteado está en el campo de la ingeniería y arquitectura software, que tienen que estar dispuestos a entender la interactividad de cambios en las variables del entorno físico, lo cual implica que el enfoque dado a dichas arquitecturas debe redirigirse al diseño e implementación de un nuevo paradigma de inteligencia en los ecosistemas en los que actúan la ingeniería y la arquitectura. Para atacar las necesidades de inteligencia expuestas anteriormente, proponemos una arquitectura como marco de referencia inteligente, diseñada en torno a la exposición de servicios y microservicios dirigidos por eventos con la capacidad funcional de procesar eventos complejos, los cuales pueden ser configurados, parametrizados y direccionados, diseñando patrones que adquieren inteligencia. Estos patrones son diseñados e implementados de acuerdo con un análisis previo de las rutinas de comportamiento de objetos o personas en un escenario dado. La inteligencia radica en la forma de inferir nuevos eventos más complejos, con mayor significado semántico y ontológico, a partir de la suma de eventos simples. Esto nos permite implementar patrones de comportamiento relevantes detectados por dispositivos sensores (cámaras de videovigilancia, sensores visuales, sensores de detección de señales, de proximidad, etc.) instalados en escenarios físicos. El diseño de arquitectura propuesto está orientado al aprendizaje de los patrones, de tal forma que a partir de este aprendizaje, analice la serie de eventos y derive conclusiones de ellos, dependiendo si en los eventos analizados existen situaciones catalogadas como inusuales o de interés. Todo lo anterior le permite al sistema reaccionar y someter la información a un procesamiento en línea y mejorar en la toma decisiones. En nuestro caso, también proveemos inteligencia desde el software, dado que la inteligencia diseñada a través de los patrones es recursiva en la suma de capacidades de los diferentes comportamientos que puede adquirir un evento expuesto a través de un microservicio. En el cual, la inteligencia se debe al engranaje conjunto de los componentes en un ecosistema dado en el que actúe el microservicio (sistemas ciberfísicos, la nube, redes neuronales, inteligencia artificial, robótica, etc.). Además, la inteligencia radica en la forma como los servicios compiten por los recursos de información subyacentes en los dispositivos sensores y por las necesidades de competencia por la infraestructura del ambiente IoT y la nube.

The main aim is to separate the administration of the web sites from their content, which can be seen on the Internet and by doing so to achieve the unified and complex administration interface for the customers. By bringing the service into work we do not only save time and simplify the work of the programmers, but we are also able to reach the stage when the editing system is not only the intellectual property of the company, but also its physical property, because the customer owns only the web sites, but the possibility to administrative them is offered as further service. The service should also provide the customers with modern access to informational technologies and propose enhanced assistance for their entrepreneurial plans and ideals.
