The presented thesis deals with interspecific competition and host range of entomopathogenic nematodes and assess the mechanisms enabling coexistence of multiple EPN species. The thesis further studied the scavenging ability of EPNs and their defense mechanisms against invertebrate scavengers. The results revealed that coexisting EPN species share the same niche and their interaction are complex and may be asymmetric. EPNs were found to be able to colonise and multiply in cadavers of different insects and scavenging seems to be an important alternative to normal infection. The defence of EPNs against scavengers seems to be an adaptation of the nematode-bacteria complex.

I investigated the differences in male and female foraging behavior of the african carpenter bee Xylocopa flavescens (Hymenoptera: Apidae). This species is important big pollinator in study area as observed. The pollen loads from the 20 male and 20 female bees were compared for the analysis of the foraging pattern. The principal differences and trends were found for the range of flowers visited by each sex.

Autismkompetens gör skillnad : En Litteraturstudie om mötet med sjukvården för person med autism

Abstrakt   Bakgrund: Autism är en neurologisk dysfunktion som ingår i gruppen autismspektrum disorder (ASD). Dysfunktion ger en skörhet som ofta leder till ohälsa. Som sjuksköterskor kan vi möta dessa patienter inom alla vårdområden och då skulle autismspecifik kompetens behövas.   Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats var att beskriva behovet av autismspecifik kompetens i mötet mellan sjuksköterska och person med ASD vid deras kontakt med sjukvården.   Metod: En kvalitativ litteraturstudie i form av en artikelöversikt av sex originalartiklar. Relevanta databaser för vårdvetenskap har använts och en kvalitativ innehållsanalys är gjord enligt Lundman och Hällgren-Graneheim (2012).   Resultat: Resultatet visar att det finns ett behov av autismkompetens i mötet mellan sjuksköterskan och en person med ASD. Sjuksköterskan kan möta både vuxna och barn med en diagnos under spektrumet ASD oberoende vart hon arbetar. Autismspecifik kompetens hos sjuksköterskor ger ett bättre möte mötet och trygghet för patient med ASD.   Slutsats: Sjuksköterskan som är involverad i omvårdanden av personer med ASD behöver en autismspecifik kompetens. Både den teoretiska och den erfarenhetsmässiga kompetensen är viktig för att mötet med person med ASD ska bli så optimalt som möjligt för personen med ASD men också viktig för sjuksköterskans möjligheter till omvårdnad och tillfredställelse i sitt jobb.

Goal of this thesis is to develop portable monitoring station for radio spectrum monitoring and its controlling application for use by Czech Telecommunication Office. The station is based on Software Defined Radio (SDR) and capable of monitoring in the range of 1 MHz - 6 GHz. Developed application controls not only the SDR but also the external RF unit (including choice of receiving antenna, filter, optional amplification/attenuation and azimuth of antenna rotator). Measurement processed by computer and displayed graphically in form of spectrum diagram and waterfall diagram. Furthermore, the application will perform spectral measurement in compliance with requirements of International Telecommunication Union. The application is also capable of recording into the file and of analyzing historical data from the previous measurement.

This work deals with the study of fluorescence lifetime and spectral changes of nanoparticles in cell biology. It describes the principle of fluorescence, fluorescence microscopy and laser confocal microscope Leica TCS SP8. The classic FLIM method, the Lambda Square mapping and the division of nanoparticles are introduced there. In the practical part, the created program for the evaluation of fluorescence lifetime and spectral changes is described. The program can show two-dimensional lambda maps, the fluorescence lifetime and spectral shift in the space area. In the final part of the thesis, an experiment with rhodamine nanoparticles is carried out and it is evaluated using the created program and then discussed.

This paper walks the reader through the process of developing a pair of safety glasses for the brand Spektrum. Spektrum is brand that specializes on performance eyewear and ski goggles but are now on the quest to widen their brand and start developing safety gear. This will be Spektrums first safety glasses. The purpose of this project was to develop a pair of safety glasses which both meets Spektrums internal requirements as well as the users and the markets requirements. The project started with an analytical phase where all the relevant data was collected. This became the whole foundation for the project and was absolutely necessary to be able to proceed in the right direction. The analytical phase was then followed up by a creative phase which resulted in four design concepts. The four concepts were evaluated and could after that be reduced into two concepts. The two concepts were made into physical prototypes which were tested and evaluated. From that a final concept could be made and a final prototype was crafted. The result is an adjustable frame with a one piece lens. The lens is clear and replaceable. It can be replaced with either a dark or yellow lens that enhance the vision in extreme light. The glasses work well with ear protectors and helmets. This was an important attribute that was established in the analytical phase. The final concept was presented to Spektrum and was well received. They want to look further into taking the glasses to production.
