Föreliggande arbete avser en granskning av teorier vilka varit till stöd för att formulera en affärsmodell under påverkan av digitalisering. Affärsplanen avser ”kultur & värderingar” på ett större företag.Sammanfattningsvis kan sägas att teorin för att hantera systemförändringar av Reynolds & Holwell (2010) har använts för att en mottagare skall kunna reflektera över dagens modell och underlätta förståelsen för den framtida modellen. Teorin för att formulera en affärsmodell av Amit & Zott (2001, 2012) har bidragit till att skapa ett strukturerat innehåll i modellen. Den praktiska nyttan med denna teori blev svag då ”kultur & värderingar” inte låter sig beskrivas i termer av pengar. Amit & Zott (2001, 2012) lämpar sig bättre för en hel värdekedja i ett företag med fokus på monetära transaktioner. För att utvärdera teorierna har stöd hämtats från Corley & Gioia (2011) med ett lättförståeligt och användbart resultat.En utveckling av Reynolds & Holwell (2010) och Amit & Zott (2001, 2012) föreslås avseende grafiska element i struktur och kommunikation, ett exempel finns hos Osterwalder & Pigneur (2009). För att uppnå ett bättre resultat och bredare tillämpning föreslås fortsatt forskning kring värdeskapande utan direkt relation till värdet av pengar (såsom kultur & värderingar). Den praktiska nyttan kan utebli för likande tillämpningar som saknar direkta monetära värden.

"Patterns are proven solutions to recurring design problems." In der Literatur sind inzwischen zahlreiche Muster dokumentiert. Es ist offensichtlich, daß eine rein sequentielle Suche in dieser Mustermenge nicht effizient ist. Vielmehr wird ein Ordnungssystem benötigt, um für spezifische Problemstellungen geeignete Muster wiederaufzufinden. In dem Beitrag werden zunächst Anforderungen an ein Ordnungssystem für Muster entwickelt. Im zweiten Teil des Beitrages werden verschiedene Ordnungssysteme für Muster vorgestellt. Der dritte Teil des Beitrages bewertet die beschriebenen Ordnungssysteme im Hinblick auf die zuvor erarbeiteten Anforderungen. Abgeschlossen wird der Beitrag mit Überlegungen, wie ein leistungsfähiges Ordnungssystem für Muster ausgestaltet sein könnte.

Einleitend geht es um Berichte zu Anwendungen, darunter beispielsweise darüber, wie sich die vor ca. 10 Jahren durch unsere Deutsche Nationalbibliothek (DNB) eingeführte Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) in der Praxis bewährt hat (hierzu Walther Umstätter, 16.07.10:15). Eine berechtigte Frage auch deshalb, weil die aus den USA stammende DDC vor der mutigen Entscheidung der DNB noch nicht in deutschen Bibliotheken angewendet wurde.

With an increasing worldwide infrastructure more habitats are fragmented by roads and buildings, which can cause a reduction in biodiversity up to 75%. One way to counteract this is by predicting the outcome, with the help of theoretical models, before it happens. In this study I used a Bayesian network model on a fragmented landscape, to test how well trophic metacommunities are able to persist habitat loss, when increasing dispersal between the fragments in the landscapes by implementing corridors. By implementing just three corridors, the species with the highest trophic level went extinct at a considerable later stage, and by just implementing 10 corridors, the metapopulation capacity for all species in all trophic levels increased. Similar results were obtained when changing the way the species extinction probabilities react to their resources being extinct, which further strengthen the efficacy of corridors. The results from this study suggests that increasing connectivity between landscape fragments, and therefore promoting dispersal of organisms, would help the conservation of biodiversity.

The warbler Prinia inornata (Plain Prinia) is a common songbird found across large parts of southern Asia, and it is currently divided into ten geographically distinct subspecies. It has been suggested by some ornithologists to possibly be a complex of cryptic species, i.e. several species so similar to each other that they have been taxonomically misclassified as being conspecific. This study used audio recordings to compare songs between individuals from different regions in order to see if there are distinct geographical differences, and if so, how these correspond to the current taxonomy. The comparison was made using two methods: A qualitative auditory analysis, and statistical models (NMDS and PCA) based on measurements from spectrograms.  The results show that two main types of song exist that are highly distinct from each other, each taking up roughly half of the geographical range. The two main types can be further divided into a few subtypes, potentially as many as seven in total. The geographical distribution of these subtypes matches that of some of the current subspecies, but the results do not support the current taxonomy as a whole. It is therefore likely that P. inornata comprises at least two species (corresponding to the two main types), possibly more.
