<p>This thesis analysis four different sides of policy-making on EU-level: the Cardiff process, the white paper “European transport policy for 2010: time to decide”, the sixth Environmental Action Programme and the Sustainable Development Strategy. In those documents measures proposed for the freight transport sector are identified and used for interviews with key persons at Schenker AG. The aim with the interviews was to examine how Schenker AG was affected and felt committed by the proposed political measures. Following the arguments above the thesis discusses the role of Schenker AG in a society characterized by ecological modernization.</p>

Background: Stricter requirements from customers that transport companies must be able to show their carbon dioxide emissions have resulted that it has become more relevant for transport companies to have a calculation model of their transports' carbon dioxide emissions per order. The EU's climate goal of becoming climate neutral by 2050 is something that will require change, that is why it is relevant that the obstacles that exist for transport companies in the transition from fossil- to fossil-free fuels are presented in order to be in line with the EU's environmental goals.  Purpose: The study's first research question aims to develop a calculation model for intermodal transport ́s carbon dioxide emissions per order. The second research question aims to create an overview of transport companies' obstacles to the transition to fossil-free fuels.  Methodology: The study's first research question is a qualitative case study with elements of quantitative data collection from the case company Gunnar Karlsson Spedition AB. The second research question includes a qualitative study with benchmarking to identify the obstacles that exist for a transition from fossil fuels to fossil-free fuels.  Conclusion: This study results in a calculation model that the authors have designed for carbon dioxide emissions per order in an intermodal transport network. Furthermore, the study results in a summary table of theoretical obstacles and the interviewed companies' perspective regarding obstacles in the transition from a fossil- to a fossil-free fuel. / Bakgrund: Hårdare krav från kunder att transportföretag ska kunna uppvisa deras transporters koldioxidutsläpp har givit utfallet att det har blivit mer relevant för transportföretagen att inneha en beräkningsmodell för deras transporters koldioxidutsläpp per order. EU:s klimatmål om att bli klimatneutral år 2050 är något som kommer att kräva förändring, därför är det relevant att de hinder som finns för transportföretag vid övergången från fossila- till fossilfria drivmedel presenteras för att kunna gå i linje med EU:s miljömål.  Syfte: Studiens första forskningsfråga syftar till att ta fram en modell för intermodala transporters koldioxidutsläpp per order. Den andra forskningsfrågan syftar till att skapa en överblick om transportföretagens hinder vid övergången till fossilfria drivmedel.  Metod: Studiens första forskningsfråga är en kvalitativ fallstudie med inslag av kvantitativ datainsamling från fallföretaget Gunnar Karlsson Spedition AB. Den andra forskningsfrågan innefattar en kvalitativ studie med benchmarking som styrkoncept, för att identifiera de hinder som finns för en övergång från fossila bränslen till fossilfria bränslen.  Resultat: Studiens resulterar i en beräkningsmodell som författarna har utformat för koldioxidutsläpp per order i ett intermodalt transportnätverk. Vidare resulterar studien i en sammanfattande tabell över teoretiska hinder och de intervjuades företagens upplevda hinder vid övergången från ett fossilt- till ett fossilfritt drivmedel.

This methodology will be modified depending on the scenario conditions and the specifics of investment projects. The basis for the decision to use it was the positive experience of using the formation of reserves by banks against possible losses of loan debt with the establishment of the percentage of the formation of the reserve.

Gender equality work is ongoing within the transport industry. The industry has a reputationof being male-dominated which may be the reason why fewer women are attracted to it.Previous research shows that there are clear norms and stereotypes within male-dominatedprofessions where women face challenges such as harassment, exclusion, prejudices, andissues with work-life balance. Previous research also presents opportunities and femalequalifications such as women being more cooperative, selfless, and less risk-taking than men. The aim of the study is to investigate how transport companies are working towards genderequality and examine the barriers and opportunities that women in the transport industry face.The study was conducted through a qualitative method, where semi-structured interviewswere conducted with a total of eleven people in leadership positions and truck drivers in threeselected transport organizations. The material provided by the respondents through their ownexperiences and perceptions has been interpreted and categorized, which is presented in theempirical chapter. The results of the study show that transport organizations are actively working to promotegender equality in the industry, requiring active marketing from companies and the presenceof female role models within the organization to increase female participation. The results ofthe study also show barriers that women face, such as work-life balance, stereotypes, andexclusion, as well as career opportunities provided to women through internal trainingprograms. By breaking norms and creating an inclusive work environment, companies canattract more women to the industry. / Jämställdhetsarbetet pågår aktivt inom transportbranschen. Branschen har en bild av att varamansdominerad vilket kan vara orsaken till att färre kvinnor söker sig dit. Tidigare forskningvisar på att det finns tydliga normer och stereotyper inom mansdominerade yrken och därkvinnor står inför utmaningar såsom trakasserier, exkludering, fördomar och problem med attfå till arbetslivsbalansen. Tidigare forskning presenterar även möjligheter och kvinnligakvalifikationer såsom att kvinnor är mer samarbetsvilliga, de är osjälviska och är mindreriskbenägna än män. Syftet med studien undersöker hur transportföretag arbetar med jämställdhetsarbete samtundersöker de hinder och möjligheter som kvinnor i transportbranschen står inför. Studien hargenomförts genom en kvalitativ metod där vi utfört semistrukturerade intervjuer med totaltelva personer på ledande positioner samt lastbilschaufförer i tre utvaldatransportorganisationer. Materialet respondenterna tillhandahöll oss genom sina egnaerfarenheter och upplevelser har vi tolkat och kategoriserat, vilka presenteras i det empiriskakapitlet. Resultatet av studien visar att transportorganisationer arbetar aktivt med att främja enjämställd bransch. Det krävs en aktiv marknadsföring från företagen samt att det kvinnligadeltagandet ökar när det finns kvinnliga förebilder inom organisationen. Studiens resultatvisar även hinder som kvinnor står inför såsom arbetslivsbalans, stereotyper och exkludering,men även vilka karriärmöjligheter som ges till kvinnor via internutbildningar. Genom attföretag bryter normer och skapar ett inkluderande arbetsklimat kan fler kvinnor attraheras tillbranschen.

The diploma thesis "Media Coverage of Prague Public Transport Company" intends to describe the media image of the company in selected Czech dailies Metro, MF Dnes, Právo and Pražský deník during the years 2011 and 2012. A total of 680 articles were analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively systematically describing their content during the period mentioned. The theoretical part introduces the reader to a broader context and serves as a platform anchoring the practical part. At first this part introduces the chosen methodology and then the results and interpretation. The quantitative content analysis explores how often and how much the topic appears in print media, its timing during the given period, and deals with researching of mainly published topics mentioned in press and their relationships in connection to Prague Public Transport Company. The thesis also focuses on the types of articles (hard news and soft news) and also examines which actors appeared in the selected newspapers. The next part deals with the linguistic interpretation of individual statements about Prague Public Transport Company, therefore, in what areas is the subject of analysis evaluated positively or negatively, on the basis of the attributes of language resources and comparison. Diploma thesis called Entrepreneur and entrepreneurship in times of state interventionism and dirigisme. Josef Hégr (1896 - 1971) focuses on the aspects of entrepreneurial experience, background and corporate engagement of Josef Hégr, a native of Chotětov (a small rural village located near Mladá Boleslav). The graduate of the business academy was going up from being a bureaucrat in charge of accounting in the international business company called Balkan - a company for trade and industry, to becoming a co-owner of this joint-stock company. Later he continuously worked as a co-owner of the joint-stock company Czech International Transport Company Karlík and Co. until 1948. Josef Hégr became a Czech entrepreneur in transport and agriculture and in the 1930s after he had bought the manor of Horky nad Jizerou and related businesses. His business activities were escalating during the Second World War. And, he worked in national Czech companies where he defended national Czech interests. Concerning the Czech entrepreneurship, he tried to protect much from the occupation forces, and became a crisis manager.
