Lietuvoje trūksta tyrimų, kurie nagrinėtų socialinio darbo kontekstus, kuriuose formuojasi socialinių darbuotojų profesinio perdegimo prielaidos ir tyrimų, kurie nustatytų socialinių darbuotojų naudojamas profesinio perdegimo įveikos strategijas, kurių pagalba darbuotojai sėkmingai įveikia profesinį perdegimą. / The burnout syndrome is most distinctly observed among social workers. This syndrome causes fatigue, lethargy, mental and emotional exhaustion, frustration, conflicts with clients and colleagues. There is lack of studies and research in Lithuania about social work burnout syndrome and the contexts in which we could find new coping strategies.

BACKGROUND: This study focuses on a very sensitive and underestimated topic of drug addiction among medical staff. There is necessary interdisciplinary approach, focusing on psychosocial and environmental factors involved in the etiology of addiction among medical staff. The profession of paramedical staff demands to work with people and responsibility for their lives, so it is important that this work must be performed by a person in mental and physical well-being for performing adequate quality of care. Despite the awareness and exploration of burnout syndrome, the occurrence is still a current issue. Manifested mainly as a reaction to the working stress (Kebza, Šolcová, 2004). This working stress may penetrate also into the overall quality of life (Křivohlavý, 2013). Frequent helper in the stages of burnout syndrome is drinking alcohol, which shows the effects of antidepressants, which can be progress to alcoholism in certain situations (Ühlinger, 2009). The thesis deals with the concept of stress and emotional intelligence. First, it discusses the major theories of stress, coping strategies and resilience. Furthermore, they are presented and described in more detail methods for identifying coping strategies. The next chapter describes the burnout syndrome and its causes. Chapter emotional intelligence deals with theoretical inputs of these issues and, as with stress are also presented in this chapter methods of detecting emotional intelligence. The last chapter focuses on the personality of the prison warden and qualification requirements for the profession. The empirical part deals with the research of emotional intelligence and coping strategies among prison guards. Subsequently outputs are evaluated quantitatively processed results of these two variables and the correlation between them.

Nine participants were men and nine were women. Two members of eight different specializations and two general practitioners constituted the sample. Data were collected in semi-structured interviews that were recorded and afterwards transcribed verbatim for analysis. The chosen method was Grounded Theory, consisting of a systematic inductive process of analysis, organization, categorization and progressive reduction of the categories in order to elaborate a theory that explains the data. The theory emerging from the data suggests that the sources of stress that affect these professionals are innumerous. Some are common to all specializations, but others are specific. The sources of stress that are most strongly present in the accounts concerned the relationship with patients, financial questions, long hours of confinement in a closed environment, the professional responsibilities, the elevated load of working hours and the present-day status of the profession. The effects of exposure to the sources of stress on the job are manifest in various ways, but the most strongly represented concerned physical complaints like pains and muscular-skeletal problems. While a great diversity of sources of stress was identified, the coping strategies were limited to few dimensions. Among these strategies, the most frequently reported was physical exercise, followed only at a large distance by others like: developing other interests besides dentistry, taking holidays and religious involvement. / Foi realizado um estudo qualitativo e de caráter exploratório com 18 cirurgiões-dentistas domiciliados na cidade de Goiânia, com o objetivo de conhecer melhor, na visão destes profissionais pesquisados, a realidade do estresse ocupacional. O grupo estudado foi composto por 9 profissionais do sexo masculino e 9 do sexo feminino, sendo que foram coletados dados de oito especialidades diferentes além da clinica geral. Para coleta de dados foram realizadas entrevistas semi-estruturadas, que foram gravadas e posteriormente transcritas para efeito de análise. A abordagem utilizada para análise dos dados, foi a “Grounded Theory” ou Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados que consiste num processo indutivo sistemático de análise, organização, categorização e redução progressiva de categorias afim de elaborar uma teoria que explique o contexto. A teoria emergente dos dados demonstrou que são inúmeras as fontes de estresse que afetam estes profissionais, alguns estressores são comuns em todas as especialidades, mas existem estressores específicos de cada especialidade. As fontes de estresse mais fortemente relatadas foram relativas à relação com pacientes, questões financeiras, o fato de estar sempre confinado em um ambiente fechado, as responsabilidades que pesam sobre o profissional, a elevada carga horária e a situação atual da profissão. As conseqüências do estresse no trabalho manifestam-se de várias formas embora a que parece mais evidente para os cirurgiões-dentistas seja relativa aos males físicos como dores e outros problemas músculo-esquéleticos. Enquanto havia grande diversidade de fontes de estresse, as estratégias de manejo eram limitadas a poucas dimensões. Dentre estas estratégias podemos citar como a mais relatada, a atividade física, seguida de por outras como: desenvolver outros interesses além da odontologia, tirar férias, religiosidade dentre outras.

Main topic of diploma's thesis is burnout syndrome with emphasis on its prevention. Theoretical part focuses on characteristics of this phenomenon, describes the most common symptoms, causes and diagnostics. It deals with prevention, supervision and possible ways of intervention. It describes retirement home as a social service including its clients and social workers. The aim of research part is to find out how does factors as an education, experience and personal characteristics can influence the burnout syndrome. Research part also aims how work environment and supervision impact on its workers. In this qualitative research is the semi-structured interviews with social workers is used as a key method with emphasis on their opinions and feelings about examined topics. Main method is extended by observation. Research results shows, that education and supervision do not affect burnout significantly. On the other hand the work environment, experience and personal characteristics are shown as a very significant contribution factors to burnout syndrome. De senaste decennierna har stressen ökat väsentligt i vårt samhälle. Det finns flera olika samverkande orsaker till detta. Arbetslivet är en betydande källa till stress, särskilt inom vissa yrkesområden. Vårdpersonal arbetar ofta i en stressig miljö vilket kan leda till stressrelaterade problem. Dessa problem kan förekomma i varierande grad och yttra sig på olika sätt. Om dessa problem inte åtgärdas i tid, kan det leda till att individen utvecklar mer allvarliga problem. Det är inte helt ovanligt att vårdpersonal drabbas av utmattningssyndrom. Vårdgivarens roll är att befrämja hälsa och en förutsättning för att lyckas med detta är att vårdgivaren själv tar ansvar för sin hälsa. Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva orsaker till och effekter av utmattningssyndrom för vårdpersonal, samt att belysa möjliga metoder för att förebygga och hantera problemet. Som metod valdes en litteraturstudie enligt Friberg (2006). För detta syfte användes både kvalitativa och kvantitativa artiklar. Den valda litteraturen analyserades och då utkristalliserades tre tydliga teman som resultat. Dessa är orsaker till utmattningssyndrom, effekter av tillståndet och sätt att förebygga utmattningsproblematik. Dagens sjukvård med höga effektivitetskrav innebär en påfrestande arbetsmiljö. Det är möjligt för vårdgivaren att tillägna sig färdigheter, copingstrategier för att hantera påfrestningarna hon utsätts för. Ansvaret för att förebygga och hantera stressrelaterade problem ligger såväl på den enskilda vårdgivaren som på vårdorganisationen. / Program: Sjuksköterskeutbildning

O presente estudo ao delimitar como tema de pesquisa o absenteísmo dos educadores de creche, categoria dos professores que atuam no segmento da Escola Infantil, voltado para crianças de 0 aos 3 anos de idade, tem como objetivo geral analisar o absenteísmo dos educadores de creche em Município do Estado do rio de Janeiro, através da análise dos motivos do afastamento temporário ou definitivo das funções laborais. O aumento do absenteísmo encontra-se retratado nos laudos das perícias do serviço de Previdência, que refletem os sintomas da Síndrome de Burnout, que impedem estes profissionais de cumprirem suas obrigações, em consequência do adoecimento. A metodologia priorizou a coleta de dados através de questionário semi - estruturado aplicado aos médicos do Serviço de Previdência, bem como visitas “in loco” às creches do município, onde também foram coletados dados por meio de questionários. Por fim, conclui-se que reduzir o alto índice de absenteísmo nas creches do município, está vinculado ao investimento necessário que precisa ser feito pelos órgãos competentes, na formação permanente do professor, na remuneração compatível com a jornada de trabalho definida no Projeto Político Pedagógico (PPP), bem como a inadequada composição da jornada e principalmente na melhoria das condições físicas e estruturais do ambiente escolar, viabilizando consideravelmente a diminuição do alto índice dos trabalhadores com a Síndrome de Burnout e assim, favorecendo sua capacidade laborativa e o prazer de atuar no trabalho. / Absenteeism characterized by a lack of professional work, has been made in increasing damage to companies and public and private institutions that provide services and produce goods. This study to define as a research topic absenteeism from day care educators, category of teachers who work in the segment of Infant School, aimed at children aged 0 to 3 years old, has the general objective to analyze the absenteeism of daycare educators municipality of Rio de Janeiro, by analyzing the reasons for the temporary or permanent withdrawal of labor functions. Increased absenteeism is portrayed in the reports of the skills of social security that reflect the symptoms of burnout syndrome, which prevent these professionals to meet their obligations as a result of illness. The methodology prioritized data collection through semi - structured questionnaire applied to medical of social security, as well as visits "in loco" the nurseries of the city, which were also collected data through questionnaires. Finally, it is concluded that reduce the high rate of absenteeism in municipal day care centers, it is linked to the necessary investment that needs to be done by the competent bodies in the permanent teacher training, remuneration compatible with the working day defined in Project political Pedagogic (PPP) and inadequate composition of the journey and especially in improving the physical and structural conditions of the school environment, enabling considerably decrease the high rate of workers with burnout syndrome and thus favoring their working capacity and pleasure to act at work.

For the author, this is a process in which everyday instances of life come to be claimed by the discourse of medicine, generally adopting diagnostic terms. Burnout syndrome is used as the conceptual operator due to the emergence of studies that associate this syndrome with the educational context. In the bibliographic review the researches on the topic of medicalization and Burnout Syndrome in the teaching category are highlighted. There is no consensus in the literature regarding the concept of medicalization, so that Conrad's perspective is privileged to highlight the sociocultural role. The context of the teaching sickness is problematized through works that discuss the historical changes occurred in the Brazilian educational scene, besides addressing the social and political influences on the work. Particular emphasis is given to the issue of neoliberalism and how it has contributed to new forms of relationship in the world of work. From the foucaultian perspective, the manifestation of Burnout is analyzed with the constituency of the teacher in the network of power relations, contextualizing its environment, marked by the social, political, economic and historical events of contemporary western society. Finally, the phenomenon of teaching sickness is taken as an analyzer of the present modes of subjectivation, praising the possibility of this being taken as resistance. / Este trabalho busca discutir o tema do adoecimento docente ? luz da defini??o de medicaliza??o da vida proposta por Conrad (1992; 2007). Para o autor, este ? um processo no qual inst?ncias cotidianas da vida passam a ser reivindicadas pelo discurso da medicina, geralmente adotando-se termos diagn?sticos. Utiliza-se como operador conceitual a S?ndrome de Burnout devido ? emerg?ncia de trabalhos que associam tal s?ndrome ao contexto educacional. Na revis?o bibliogr?fica s?o destacadas as pesquisas em torno do tema da medicaliza??o e da S?ndrome de Burnout na categoria docente. N?o h? um consenso na literatura a respeito do conceito de medicaliza??o, de modo que a perspectiva de Conrad ? privilegiada por evidenciar o papel sociocultural. Působení školní psycholožky/psychologa v oblasti učitelského vyhoření / School psychologist's work in teacher's burnout syndrome

This thesis deals with the work of school psychologists in the field of teachers burnout syndrom. The purpose of this study is to describe how the school psychologists perceive burnout syndrome, how they contribute in its prevention and solving this problem in schools. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of school psychology according to current Czech law and available studies. The focus is on the work of school psychologists with teachers. The following chapters describe burnout syndrome, its causes, symptoms, prevention and how to handle it. The focus is on the teachers, whose job can be risky due to burnout syndrome. The practical part includes the results of qualitative research. The research was derived through interviews with 11 school psychologists (10 women and 1 man). According to my analysis I found that the school psychologists view burnout syndrom as a genuine problem and also recognise that being a teacher can be a risky occupation. They do not have any appropriate diagnostic tools to detect the professional satisfaction of the teachers. In some cases they monitor the situation at school.
