Die küneginne rîch - o mundo feminino em \'A Canção dos Nibelungos\' e \'A Saga dos Völsung\' / Die küneginne rîch - the feminine world at The Nibelungenlied and The Saga of the Volsungs.

Valéria Sabrina Pereira 12 December 2006 (has links)
The works The Nibelungenlied and The Saga of the Volsungs were written in the region that nowadays corresponds to Austria during the 12th Century and in Iceland during the 13th Century, respectively. Those are works that have the same characters and a similar plot, but they show the characters in a different way, as well as the plot takes separate ways on the second part of each book. The aim of this dissertation is to analyse the role of the feminine characters, which are of great importance to the main theme of those stories: revenge. The research has been based on the modern german medieval studies, which combines the tradition of the critical philology with an interpratation of texts informed by the theory of reception. The main procedures are the critical lecture, critical comparison and interpretation of the texts, and, at last, a confrontation with historical documents. This study has five parts: The Romantic Pairs, Wedding, Maternity, Women and Power, and, Violent Conflicts from a Feminine Perspective. On these chapters it was atempted to analyse the main fields of feminine actions, in way that enable the reader to recognize how the similarities and the differences between the cultures and the imaginary world of those distant regions are reflected in two works that are based on the same material.

Creating an Institutional Repository (IR) in Greece : need for information systems strategy?

Vos, Angeliki January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of an Institutional Repository (IR) is to disseminate information to the public through technology networks. This entails numerous and complex Information System (IS) processes and a ‘state of the art’ Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, which need to be strategically managed to successfully meet an organization’s goals. Therefore, the focus of this research is to investigate and justify how Information Systems Strategic Planning (ISSP) is utilized by a Greek University when developing an IR. This study was based on the Technological Educational Institute of Athens (TEI-A). The gathering of evidence involved reviewing key institutional documents and a qualitative case study research method using semi-structured interviews with open-ended questions. The interviewees were informed about the study beforehand and were required to sign a consent form to ensure ethical integrity. The analysis of this data was based on hermeneutics interpretive phenomenology with specific focus on the hermeneutic circle in ISSP. In conclusion, the empirical findings and analysis showed that ISSP is essential when creating an IR as provides order in the chaos relating to IS and IT processes. This is done through ISSP continually reassessing each of its stages to ensure best practices are being applied.

Samlingen : En studie om hur personal i barngrupp på förskolan resonerar om samlingen och dess syften / Circle time : A study of how adults in the preschool staff reason about circle time and its purpose

Harrysson Norgell, Sara January 2013 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to analyse how adults in preschool staff reason about circle time and its purpose as well as children’s participation and planning. The study was conducted as qualitative interviews with four adults in preschool staff. Results from the study show that the planning of the circle time is the responsibility of every adult in preschool staff and demands a grounded and a thoughtful view. The adult in preschool staff also claim that is important to have the children active and included in circle time and that they should be in focus. There are three main reasons why adult in preschool staff decide to have circle time with the children. There are reasons to encourage language, social and emotional development. The literature, however, takes up the collection's purpose is more about providing security, community and school preparation. The biggest reason they also point out the affirmation of the children. Both adult in preschool staff and literature speaks of confirmation and community but the adult in preschool staff does not speak about school preparatory activity that reason that they have set. The study also showed that there are ready-made materials for different kinds of circle time. Children's participation is something that should be the focus of the circle time, but the adult in preschool staff use too often and easy the ready materials instead.

Like a Rolling Circle : Developing in-situ genotyping of chromosomal barcodes in the DuMPLING method

Svahn, Fabian January 2021 (has links)
DuMPLING is a newly developed high-throughput method to study singlecellphenotypes in a pooled and barcoded library using a microfluidicchip. The chip enables parallel biophysical measurements of singlecells, after which in-situ genotyping connects the cells to a certainstrain of the library. The method has been previously applied with abarcoded library, where genotyping was performed on barcodes presenton high copy number plasmids. In this project, I apply and developthe Rolling Circle Amplification method to amplify the signal frombarcodes present on the E. coli chromosome. A small librarycontaining three different chromosomal barcodes is investigated. Veryhigh efficiency of signal generation is achieved for the firstbarcode, good efficiency is achieved for the second, and no signal isachieved for the third. Genotyping is also successfully performed ona strain with two different barcodes present on the chromosome. Thegenotyping method described herein can be applied to screen foradditional barcodes that may be incorporated in a larger library thatin turn can be used to ask important biological questions, forexample using the high throughput DuMPLING method.

Hydraulický okruh pojezdu dvoucestného vozidla / Hydraulic circle of undercarriage two-way vehicle

Rozumek, Jaroslav January 2008 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is a concept of hydraulic (hydrostatic) circuit of rail – road vehicle drive for the drive on communication and railway. As my work is not related to a specific type of road vehicle dedicated to a drive on railway, my work is of strictly reference nature. On request I was provided by Bosh Rexroth s.r.o. with a hydraulic scheme of two-way undercarriage (see appendix), which is also a source material for the new concept. My work is focused on interests of SaZ s.r.o., which deals with the development and rebuilding of road vehicles into rail – road vehicles. The first phase is focused on the choice of the most convenient component of railway undercarriage in accord with the assignment. The second phase is oriented on the calculation of travel parameters, dimensioning of systems with concretization of typal mark of components. A part of the second phase is also a concept of hydraulic braking system of rail undercarriage. After that follows a complete evaluation, eventually an alternative solution of given problem.

Analýza jízdních manévrů vozidel za snížené adheze / Analysis of vehicles driving maneuvers at low coefficient of adhesion

Šabík, Matúš January 2016 (has links)
This master’s thesis deals with driving maneuvers at low coefficient of adhesion, especially in winter season. It includes a list of adhesion coefficients on many surfaces, published by various authors. Figures were through the use of statistical methods divided into normal and exceeding. There are described terms having impact on adhesion. For determination of adhesion was used tests like emergency braking, circle test and slalom. The major part contains specification of used vehicles, surfaces, weather conditions, measuring devices and realized tests. In addition to using accelerometer, there was a successful attempt to use timekeeping facilities to determine deceleration of vehicle. Acquired data were processed and compared to another publications.

Pedagogiska atmosfärer i samlingen : Barns möjligheter till berättande / Pedagogical atmospheres in circle-time : Children's possibilities of narrating

Larsen, Alexandra January 2022 (has links)
The following essay aims to investigate circle time in preschool and the pedagogical atmospheres that exist there. Pedagogical atmospheres illuminate the approach that pedagogues have towards the children. Furthermore, it examines how the pedagogical atmosphere affects the child’s possibilities of embracing their role as a narrator. The results of structured observations in two Swedish preschools, show that circle time is characterized by an unstable atmosphere, caused by big variations between pedagogues and the different elements of the circle time. Pedagogues have a hard time approaching the children’s lifeworld and are struggling to let go of their own pedagogical ideas. As a result, children’s narrating is either short or absent since they don’t get support from their pedagogues.
