This thesis deals with the creation of the web portal of health and beauty focused on email marketing for the brand Lifesaver. The theoretical part deals with general issues of web applications with MVC architecture, evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of competing portals that are similarly based, email marketing, and finally describe the brand Lifesaver and its needs. Own work consists in programming a web portal using MVC architecture, including the creation of the logo and graphic design according to the requirements and needs of the company Lifesaver.

This Master's thesis focuses on the issue of responsive design creation and comparison of the particular patterns aiming to customizable website. The theoretical part discusses the majority of available possibilities for achieving a responsive design and their general purpose. The practical part covers the use of the particular patterns on the specific web presentation. The thesis includes three similar websites using the responsive design particular patterns without frontend frameworks and, subsequently, their utilization. Their testing served as a means for recommendation for the practice. Another part of the thesis is the summarization of cascading style sheets development with the focus on the responsive design and comparison of two frontend frameworks selected by the author.

Previous issue date: 2006 / A usabilidade possibilita às bibliotecas universitárias integrarem requisitos como
interatividade e multimídia à criação de páginas mais dinâmicas em termos de linearidade e
navegabilidade. Com o intuito de verificá-la no contexto de gestores, desenvolvedores e usuários
escolheu-se para o estudo de caso desta pesquisa o website da BCE – Biblioteca Central,
instituição acadêmica que oferece uma ampla variedade de serviços on-line. Após referencial
teórico que definiu e contextualizou os cenários e tendências de websites de bibliotecas
universitárias, os conceitos e história da Usabilidade e Ergonomia, a evolução das interfaces
gráficas e do webdesign, a interação humano-computador, seu panorama no Brasil e suas
relações com a Psicologia Cognitiva, os métodos e técnicas de avaliação de usabilidade e as
avaliações de usabilidade em bibliotecas universitárias, foram realizadas análise do contexto de
uso do website da BCE com seus gestores e desenvolvedores, através de análise documental,
entrevista com verbalização estimulada e ficha de observação; avaliação ergonômica de suas
interfaces com lista de verificação, guia de recomendações e avaliação heurística; identificação do
modelo mental dos usuários relativo à arvore semântica do website da BCE – Biblioteca Central,
por meio de ensaio de interação com a técnica card sorting e identificação dos erros cometidos
pelos usuários no uso do website da BCE, através de ensaio de interação com a técnica análise da
tarefa. Constatou-se que gestores e desenvolvedores desconsideram a participação do usuário,
devido ao desconhecimento dos benefícios que a usabilidade pode trazer, assim como dificuldades
gerenciais e tecnológicas que enfrentam. Verificou-se também que a atual estrutura disponibilizada
não propicia aos usuários realizarem tarefas em tempo hábil, devido ao excesso e duplicidade de
links, a não relação da biblioteca virtual com o website e o equívoco de alguns mecanismos de
busca. Portanto, a reformulação deve privilegiar a criação de hipertextos e leiautes fluidos, que
possibilitarão modificações constantes, sem necessariamente alterar a linearidade da navegação. _____________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / Usability makes possible to the academic libraries integrate requirements as interactivity
and multimedia to create dynamic pages in terms of linearity and navigability. With the intention to
verify usability in the context of managers, web developers and users, the BCE website was chosen
for the case study of this research. After referencial theoretician who defined and contextualized the
scenario and trends of academic libraries websites, the concepts and history of Usability and
Egonomics, the evolution of graphical interfaces and webdesign, the human computer interaction,
its panorama in Brazil and its relations with Cognitive Psychology, the methods and techniques of
usability evaluation and the evaluations of usability in academic libraries, had been carried analysis
of the use context of BCE website with its managers and web developers, by documentary analysis,
interview with stimulated verbalization and website observation; ergonomic evaluation of its
interfaces with check-list, guide of recommendations and heuristical evaluation; users mental model
identification relative to BCE website semantic trees, over interaction essay with card sorting
technique and identification of the errors committed by users in the BCE website use, through
interaction essay with task analysis. It was concluded that managers and web developers
disrespect the user participation, whom had to the unfamiliarity of the benefits that the usability can
bring, as well as managemental and technological difficulties that face. It was also verified that the
current website structure does not propitiate the users to carry through tasks in skillful time,
presents excess and duplicity of links, absence of relation between the virtual library and website
and mistake of some search mechanisms. Therefore, the redesign must privilege the creation of
fluid lay-out and hypertexts, that will make possible constant modifications, without necessarily
modifying the linearity of the navigation.

Abstract The main purpose of this thesis is to analyse websites and Facebook profiles of chosen brands of Nestlé company and their competition. This thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with basics of methodology of evaluating websites and Facebook profiles and consists of following parts: graphics and design of websites, visibility on the internet, SEO, information, technical solutions, applicabillity, accessibility and Facebook. All these parts are essential for assessment methodology. The practical part contains the assessment itself according to created methodology. Eleven selected websites and facebook profiles are assessed here. Furthemore, all results are summerized in this part and conclusions as well as recommendatins are drawn from them. The main contribution of this diploma thesis is a comprehensive comparison of selected websites and Facebook profiles of Nestlé company and recommendations made on the basis of the comparison.

tools for the elaboration of hypertext systems witch seek
for pedagogical efficiency, not only through their content,
but through a series of statements and action which they
stimulates. In a world of increasing convergence towards
the electronic media of communication and information
dissemination, discussing and implementing actions which
aim for the digital inclusion becomes imperative, or else
the increasing of professional apartheid among those who
has access to digital media and those who are digitally

The school system finds itself amidst this cross-fire. It

O presente trabalho reúne conceitos utilizados no desenho de interfaces de documentos hipermídia e conceitos de psicologia relacionados ao aprendizado e à cognição, identificando características correlacionadas. A preocupação da pesquisa está em oferecer uma referência organizada para o desenvolvimento de interfaces de documentos hipermídia que serão utilizados em sistemas educacionais. Para tanto, é realizado um estudo de fatores humanos relacionados à aprendizagem e de fatores relacionados ao desenvolvimento de interfaces Web e, em seguida, identificada a intersecção entre estes conjuntos, que consiste em elementos relacionados com a interface gráfica que são relevantes para o aprendizado. O texto apresenta também propostas para a utilização destes aspectos. / This work combines concepts used in interface design of hypermedia documents and psychology notions related to learning and cognition, identifying correlated characteristics. The research done is concerned in offering an organized reference to interface development of hypermedia documents used in educational systems. This research contains a study about two sets of factors, one related to human learning and the other related to Web interface design. The intersection of these two sets consists of related elements with the graphic interface that are relevant to learning. In addition, the text presents proposals for using these concepts.

Ett företags webbplats är en av de viktigaste kommunikationskanalerna i dagens digitala värld. Det ärett virtuellt skyltfönster mot konsumenter, partners och anställda där företaget kan visa upp sina produkter och tjänster, men också kommunicera sin vision och sitt varumärke. Vissa företag använder också webbplatsen som marknadsplats och erbjuder sina kunder att handla online. Till sist kan en webbplats liknas med ett forum för dialog som något som sociala medier exempelvis bjuder in till. Likväl som det är viktigt att ta hänsyn till exempelvis användarvänlighet, tillgänglighet, designprinciper och målgrupper är det av största vikt att utgå från ett företags varumärkesstrategi vid formgivning och utveckling av en webbplats. Men hur ser utvecklingsprocessen ut när uppdragsgivaren inte finns någon varumärkesstrategi? Detta problem ställs jag inför i mitt praktiska examensarbete där uppdraget är utveckla en gemensam webbsida till två varumärken som saknar varumärkesstrategi. En annan problemställning som en webbutvecklare behöver ta hänsyn till är hur kod kan göras användarvänlig och användbar så att mottagaren kan ta över utvecklingen av webbplatsen efter överlämning av produkten. Även detta scenario ställdes jag inför under arbetet. Denna rapport beskriver bakgrund och genomförande av Tehå:s och BeHagfullts gemensamma webbplats. Tehå:s och BeHagfullt är två butiker belägna i en stad med 13 300 invånare, med en målgrupp som är över 50 år och en ägare som själv ogillar många nya digitala medier.Rapporten har för avsikt att guida läsaren genom projektets alla faser och skapa en förståelse för utvecklingsprocessen i ett projekt där företaget saknar varumärkesstrategi.Resultatet blev en webbplats med tydliga knappar och många bilder anpassad efter målgruppens och företagets behov. / A business website is one of the most important channels of communication in today's digital world. It is a virtual showcase for consumers, partners and employees where the company can showcase their products and services, but also communicate their vision and their brand. Some companies also use the website as a marketplace and offers its customers to shop online. Finally, a website can be likened to a forum for dialogue as something that social media such as invites to. Therefor it is important to take into account not only usability, accessibility, design principles and target groups but it´s also essential to start from a company's brand strategy in the design and development of a website. But what does the development process looks like when the client has branding strategy? This is a problem I face in my practical thesis in which the mission is to develop a joint website for two brands that lack branding strategy. Another problem that a web developer needs to consider is how the code can be user-friendly and useful for the client to be able to continue develop the site after the handover of the product. Also this scenario I faced during the project. This report describes the background and implementation of Tehå's and BeHagfullts common website. Tehå's and BeHagfullt are two stores located in a city with 13 300 inhabitants, with an targetgroup that is over 50 years and an owner who dislikes a lot of new digital media. The report intends to guide the reader through all phases of the project and create an understanding of the development process of a project where the company has no brand strategy. The result was a website with clear buttons and a lot of images designed to satisfy both the targetgroup and the clients needs.
