We´re supposed to take care for, not become illKarlsson, Emelie, Johansson, Frida January 2017 (has links)
A contributing factor to the large nursing shortage today is deficiencies in the nurses’ work environment. This affects both nursing care and risks nurses’ health. The employer has the obligation to ensure that nurses’ do not suffer from ill-health. Despite this, nurses’ belongs to a profession that had the most number of sick leaves. The aim of the study was to investigate the nurses’ experience of work related illhealth. The study was done as a literature review with a systematic search. The data processing result in three categories which highlights Workload as a contributing factor to illness, Stress as a contributing factor to illness and Organization and the Healthcare system as a contributing factor to illness. The result shows that work environment, organization and the healthcare system puts obstacle for nurses’ to be able to apply a good, evidence and safety patient care. This entails that nurses’ feel insufficient, dissatisfied and suffer from somatic symptoms such as insomnia and anxiety as a result of stress. By obtaining an understanding and knowledge of what contributes to work related ill-health provision could be made to promote nurses’ health which also benefits the patient care. Further research on modifiable factors in the workplace that are not strictly controlled by the organization could facilitate for nurses’ and thereby contribute to development in the nurse profession.

Specifika sociální práce s jednotlivcem / Specifics of social work with individualsHAVLÍČKOVÁ, Silvie January 2017 (has links)
The diploma thesis is focused on the problem of the specific features of working with an individual. As this is a very wide topic difficult to grasp for the interviewees, a narrower focus was created, on the area of mental health/illness. The theoretical part is divided into two sections. In the first one, a description of mental illness is found, to permit basic clarity and the imagination of working with this target group. The second part focuses on social activity, on the problem of caring for the mentally ill, and last but not least on the Reformation of psychiatric care, when the origin of Mental Health Centers (further mentioned as MHC) is related also to the adjustment of the work, methodology and approach of social workers. The practical part was created based on a qualitative research, via a semi-structured interview with workers, focusing on social work with mentally ill people. Due to creating an MHC in FOKUS Vysočina Region and via cooperating with the medical sector, i.e. also the Psychiatric Hospital in Havlíčkův Brod, the survey was implemented in the Havlíčkův Brod area serving as a catchment area. The aim of this thesis is to describe specific features of social work from social workers´ side working with mentally ill people (individuals) in the Havlíčkův Brod area. Using the research question: What specific features do social workers claim when working with mentally ill individuals. The executed research has proven that the specific theories and techniques used most include the interview, active listening, crisis intervention and the approach focused on the client. Further in the area of housing, finance, relationships, and the mental illness itself. The non-profit sector workers see a specific feature in cooperating with the medical sector, necessary for working in MHC and in the Recovery approach (the CARe method).

/Dias, Wilian Marques January 2020 (has links)
Qualitative research was carried out, using books, textbooks, and scientific articles as sources, as we understand that these are essential elements for understanding the emergence of the theme in contemporary society. We sought to identify the need for sociology teaching and its historical context in order to understand its importance as a "refined instrument of human culture" that has the specificity of analyzing the movement that constitute the social fabric and to base an analysis of two widely used textbooks used in classrooms with regard to the world of work, its transformations and its impact on the subject who works. The research found that the presence of sociology in the curricula has a history of intermittences, which is sometimes present and others absent, but it ought to act as an element of development offering the possibility of sociological imagination (MILLS, 1969) in response to the simplicity of the pseudo-concrete discourses (KOSIK, 1995) that populate common discourse in an attempt to understand the flexibilization movement in the world of labor (ANTUNES, 2000) and its relationship with the emergence of defensive ideologies (DEJOURS, 1992) against illness. However, textbooks reflect little on th... (Complete abstract click electronic access below) / Mestre

Hur arbetar violinlärare på musikhögskola med ergonomi?Grafö, Nils January 2022 (has links)
Being a violinist implies great demands on any individual since the profession brings considerable risks of work-related illnesses or injuries. This essay investigates how violin teachers in music colleges in Sweden are working in order to prevent work-related injury and illness among violin students and if this happens due to the teacher’s own initiative or if the college is working with a certain methodology. The study utilizes a hermeneutic method in order to interpret qualitative interviews with violin teachers at music colleges. The results show a personal commitment among the interviewed teachers when it comes to teaching ergonomics in instrumental teaching, but it is up to each teacher to decide the extent and depth of the ergonomic knowledge that is being passed on to the students. Depending on the violin teacher, there may be considerable differences in the ergonomic focus of the violin teaching. This means that violin students do not receive the same chances with regards to avoiding work-related illnesses or injuries.
