Blomberg, Christina, Karlsson, Jennifer January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to examine posts on bookblogs about the book, Cirkeln by Mats Strandberg and Sara Bergmark Elfgren and see how it has distributed amongst readers through social media and reader response. We want through this examine whether bookblogs have a place in the literary society, and in such cases, how this may take place. The Swedish Online bookshops Adlibris and Bokus is being used to find the blogposts to be examined in this thesis. The analysis is being implemented using content analysis and constructed encoding schemes. Interdisciplinary topics, like LIS and sociology of literature may have similar points of contact, which we want to highlight with this thesis. It is also possible to extract understanding of their own research topic by taking advantage of each other's knowledge. This is done in our paper by using Lars Furuland´s model, den litterära processen, as a starting point. The interlocking of posts on bookblogs, reader response and Online book shops, we believe demonstrates that bookblogs have a place in the Swedish literary society.

To blog about teenage books : A comparative study how youth book bloggers and librarians use and promotelitterature through blogs

Rydell, Erika January 2014 (has links)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare book blogsabout teenage literature, two blogs written by librarians, twoblogs written by youth. The aim is to find similarities anddifferences with focus on how the blogs reach the target audi-ence of youth and how the blogs work with reading promotion. The method used in this study is a qualitative content analysisof four blogs. The study uses two different theories. A enquiryscheme partly influenced by a study by Connie Crosby con-cerning how to be an effective blog. Also a theory taken fromJofrid Karner Smidt and her three approaches to reading pro-motion: the promotion on demand, the active recommendingand informing promotion and reading promotion in dialog. For the library blogs to better reach the target of youth theyshould try being more personal and recommend other bookblogs in order to be a part in the blog community. Theyshould also stimulate the interactivity by being thorough andanswer all the comments they get on the blog. The result concerning reading promotion shows that thelibrary blogs appears as accommodators while the youthblogs appears as readers. All blogs write mainly about newbooks and the library blogs should think about promotingsome older books as a complement to the youth blogs. There are also a clear difference between the approachof reading promotion. The youth blogs represent the promo-tion on demand while the library blogs represent the activerecommending and informing promotion and reading promo-tion in dialog.

“Att få fler att upptäcka det fantastiska med läsning” : Möjligheter och hinder för samarbete mellan bibliotekarier och bokbloggare / “Getting more people to discover the wonders of reading” : Possibilities and difficulties with a collaboration between librarians and book bloggers

Larsson, Johanna, Stellansdotter, Josefin January 2014 (has links)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out the possibilities for librarians and book bloggers to collaborate. We find this relevant because of blogs being a new medium that could be useful for librarians to embrace. Book blogs are often networks of blogs connected to each other through their common interest in literature and we have examined how this could be of use for librarians. The method we have used is semi-structured interviews, which gave us the possibility to adjust our questions based on the informants’ answers, when necessary. Our informants have been both librarians and book bloggers; we have met some of them and interviewed the others by e-mail. The questions we used were meant to show us how librarians use private book blogs, what bloggers’ relation to libraries look like and their respective attitudes about a possible collaboration. Our study showed that librarians have a positive attitude towards collaboration, but are slightly anxious about its operability. Book bloggers on the other hand focused on the possibilities rather than the difficulties. Collaboration options, recommended by the informants, were that book bloggers could write on the library blog or connect to the library blog via links. Book clubs between librarians and book bloggers was yet another option. / Program: Bibliotekarie

Norgren, Amanda, Larsson, Ebba January 2018 (has links)
