Samband mellan spänst och långdistanslöpning hos unga elitaktiva orienterare- en tvärsnittsstudie / Correlation between jumping performance and long distance running among young elite orienteers- a cross-sectional study

Bergander, Andreas, Rask, Jesper January 2020 (has links)
Introduction: Running economy (RE) is known to be a strong indicator for performance on long distance running. RE is improved by plyometric training through an increase in stiffness in the musculotendinous system. Stretch shorten cycle (SSC) is a function in the muscle where a contraction is preceded by a stretch or an eccentric action. Orienteering is an endurance sport where RE is important for performance. Purpose: The purpose of the study was to examine whether or not there is a correlation between jumping performance and performance on long distance running in young elite orienteers 16-19 years old. Methods: 34 young elite orienteers did drop jumps (DJ) and countermovement jumps (CMJ) on an ErgoJump Bosco System contact mat. In conjunction with the jumps time on a 5 or 7 km (for girls and boys respectively) running test was collected. Pearson's correlation test was then used to determine the correlation between jumping height and running velocity. Results: The jumping height of the CMJ was on average 30,46 cm and 28,24 cm for the DJ. The running velocity was on average 14,19 km/h. Pearson's correlation test for the correlation between DJ and running velocity was 0,463 and for the correlation between CMJ and running velocity it was 0,461. In both cases the significance was 0,006. Conclusions: There is a significant, moderate to strong correlation between jump height in DJ and CMJ and performance on long distance running on a running test in young elite orienteers.

Vliv vibračního tréninku na Power Plate na výkonnost člověka / Effect of vibration training on the Power Plate on human performance

Vančura, Jakub January 2012 (has links)
Title: The effect of vibration training on the Power Plate on human performance Objectives: Following the training schedule, the groups will be tested and results compared; as well as the study results revealed. Methods: In my diploma work I set out to test 16 individuals, who undergo an 8 week training program on the Power Plate vibration technology machine. Eight women and eight men will be separated into two groups. The first group (four men, and four women) will exercise on a vibrating machine, whereas the second group will exercise on the machine without any vibrational stimulus. Explosive agilities (Boscuv test - longest air-time). Reaction speed (auditory reaction to a beep signal, and reactometer test for both the upper and lower limbs. Flexibility (testing a sitting hamstring reach). Antropometric testing (Body mass, girth, active muscle weight, BMI). In order to be able to judge development, as well as to gauge kinesiologic abilities, I applied a number of special tests. The results of individual results are noted in the tables. The T-test was applied as a statistics method. Results: Through repeated measure, it was discovered that the group training on the Power Plate achieved improvements in three out of four tests. Two tests showed above average results against standard, especially in...

A pesquisa está estruturada em quatro capítulos e considerações finais, dando indicativo que as diferentes fundamentações nas propostas educativas estruturadas a partir do binômio trabalho/educação implicam diferentes relações com a transformação da sociedade / Abstract: This study analyzes the relation between education and work, based on na investigation of the history of the Dom Bosco Vocational School in Poços de Caldas, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, from the beginning of its activities in 1946 until 1970. This institution¿s first priority was to meet the needs of less fortunate children and adolescents and the focus of its educative process was education for work. The main objective of the research is to understand education related to work and the transformation of society, in each period, as well as the relation to educational policies as directed toward vocational education. One of the questions that guided the research was to verify whether the "preventive system" of Dom Bosco has common points with "work as educative principle" of Gramsci and with the "Foundation of the School of Work" of Pistrak and, moreover, with the "Methodology for the organization of the educative process" of Makarenko. The study seeks, beginning with a dialogue with the secondary sources of Brazilian historiography and with the primary sources collected at the institution, to contribute to the line of research in the history of Brazilian education that works with the History of Institutions of Education, specifically, in the HISTEDBR [¿History, Society and Education in Brazil¿ study and research group]. The research is organized in four chapters and final considerations, showing that different presuppositions in educational proposals, whose structure is based on the work/education pair, imply different relations with the transformation of society / Mestrado / Filosofia e História da Educação / Mestre em Educação

No. of bitstreams: 1 Osmar Hércules Padovan.pdf: 4229181 bytes, checksum: b0e2bdbbbb0f2142c183a0cf183b6074 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2016-08-16 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo / This thesis presents Don Bosco as a Catholic religious leader from Italy, in the XIX century, and shows the social, political, and religious changes he set into effect. To achieve our goals, we started with his humble upbringing as a peasant and follow him through his adventurous life ending with the fulfillment of his dream as an educator of the youth. From a political perspective, we aim to show his importance in the religious and political area, as he was a mediator between the liberal state and the church during the Italian unification period. During this time, he developed a preventative system which integrated the reason and religion, using the goodness in response to the growing abandonment of the youth in Turin. Using the Oratory methodology, promoting youth protagonism, he implemented an integrated system where he created a formative model uniting the professional, educational and religious fields. With the creation of classes and vocational schools, it was possible for the permanence of the Church secularization, joining religion and technology. The proposed research objective and the achieved results indicate the importance of this theme for the religious science field, and also, how the preventative system actions of this religious leader can continue being a reference to educate and evangelize, in the context of social injustice and religious diversity / Esta pesquisa apresenta Dom Bosco como um líder religioso católico que atuou na Itália, no século XIX, num contexto de mudança social, política e religiosa.

Il Sacro bosco d'amore : communication through desire

Althoff, Julie. January 1999 (has links)
Il Sacro Bosco in Bomarzo is an experience in Lessons on Love. The statues are a constant repetition of the paradox of Eros. The exoteric meaning of the statues will be given through the- narratives that influenced them. Then, the esoteric meaning behind the narratives and the statues will be given with the help of Ficino's Commentary on Plato's Symposium on Love. Because the garden exists in the space of desire, it is able to speak to us today. This thesis is a walk through the garden. It is only through the experience of the garden that architectural meaning is conveyed. The garden is a journey that will heal the body and the soul through the spirit. Il Sacro Bosco leads to a better understanding of the self and, in the Renaissance, its connection to the One.

Repleta est Terra: Connected Worldscapes and Entangled Chronotectures of Early Modern Andean Historical Cosmography (1550s – 1650s)

Garzon Mantilla, Juan Carlos January 2023 (has links)
This dissertation explores Early Modern cosmographical imagining and historical writing in the Andean region of the Americas. Following the European invasion of the Americas in the sixteenth century, prominent Western cosmographical and historical treatises like Sacro Bosco's de Sphera Mundi and the Nuremberg Liber Chronicarum became outdated regional works that lacked any information about American landmasses and indigenous people. The voids shown by these previously authoritative sources create a need for new ideas. In this dissertation, analyzing written and visual sources, I investigate how Indigenous, mestizo, and European scholars in the Early Modern Andes from the 1550s to the 1650s reinvented cosmographical and antiquarian practices to envision the world as an integrated entity in time and space. They combined non-written pre-Columbian structures, ruins, fossils, monoliths, megaliths, mythical landscapes, and indigenous narratives with ancient Biblical and Classical knowledge. By doing so, they established a new archive that became the foundation for further antiquarian and cosmographical knowledge, and revealing the that the so-called New World was full of history. I examine how innovative imaginings of historical time and cosmographical spaces were created in the Early Modern Andes. Authors demonstrated how the world was one since the very beginning of time by tracing connected world landscapes (worldscapes) to explain the geographical unity of the different continents and entangled chronological architectures (chronotectures) that linked the ancient ages of various societies, including places and people previously unthought of as part of the same world history.

Revollo Fernández, Carlos Felipe 30 May 2005 (has links) (PDF)
