Since the demands from authorities regarding lower energy consumption havebecome increasingly strict, this puts new pressure on designers and builders, who notonly have to ensure an esthetically pleasing building, but also make sure it issufficiently efficient to pass under new laws and regulations.This thesis takes into consideration a wide range of various parameters and theireffect on a building’s energy consumption. For this evaluation a computer softwarecomparison between the two programs Autodesk Ecotect Analysis and AutodeskProject Vasari was performed.Autodesk Ecotect Analysis is better suited for studies made on individual factors whileAutodesk Project Vasari is better used in experiments regarding the geometricalshape of the stucture itself.The results from the two different software tools used, give us both differences andsimilarities. For instance, both software programs produced the same resultsregarding the importance of the windows of the buildings to ensure a highly energyefficient building, both when it comes to the windows size and their U-value.

<p>This report presents an investigation and a new design of Habo Ullspinneris old industrial premises. It is based on the owners visions and wishes, two questionnaires and also considering of the historical value.</p><p>Habo Ullspinneri was founded in 1882 by Frans August Johansson and was moved to the location it has today, near Hökån in Habo, three years later. The electricity that the machines in the industry needed was extracted from the small river that is placed under the building. In 1960 there was a fire and the result became the end of the industrial activity that had taken place in the building.</p><p>There is no steady activity in the building at the moment. It is nowadays temporarily used as an agriculture museum and as a store room. Based on the costs of the restoring that the building needs for future maintenance it is in need of new activities that can bring economic stability.</p><p>Based on literature studies, interviews, questionnaires, and personal visiting,sketches for the new activities have been done. The work has three main focuses: identification of the new activities and the target group, the possibility of technical design combined with the building’s cultural values.</p><p>Several solutions were investigated and two of those are more detailed. Based on these results one proposition has been designed.</p>

Syftet med detta arbete är att utforma ettexploateringsförslag över den södra delen av det området. Resultatet redovisassedan i form av illustrationer över området och de tänkta byggnaderna.Målet är att skapa ett attraktivt, hållbart och trivsamt bostadsområde därarkitektonisk skönhet, variation och närheten till vatten står i fokus. Variationskapas genom differentierade byggnader, trots ett i övrigt enhetligt utförande iform av lika material och likartad stil.För att maximalt utnyttja det unika läget vid vattnet har utgångspunkten varit attalla bostäder ska ha utsikt mot sjön. Dessutom har även själva vattnet utnyttjatsför bebyggelse. Promenadstråk i området ger även allmänheten tillgång till det finaläget.Hållbart byggande är något som är högst aktuellt just nu och detta har varit encentral tanke genom hela arbetet gällande utformning av såväl byggnader somnärmiljö.För att hitta inspiration och lösningar har liknande områden studerats, blandannat genom studiebesök. The aim withthis examination project is to formulate a exploitation proposal over the southernpart of this area. The result will be presented as illustrations of the area and itsproposed buildings.The purpose is to create an attractive, sustainable and pleasant neighbourhoodwhere architectural beauty, variation and the location next to water is in focus.Variation is created through differentiated buildings which are given uniformity indesign through equal materials and similar style.In order to maximize the use of the unique location by the water, the startingpoint has been to give all apartments a view over the lake. In addition to that, thewater is also used for settlement. Walking areas around the site also give the publicat large access to the beautiful location.Sustainable building is a topical issue at the moment and has been a centralthought throughout the project regarding design of both buildings and localenvironment.In order to find inspiration and solutions, similar areas have been studied throughstudy visits. The visits and ideas from these have been essential for the continuedwork and the design of the area.The project has resulted in a green area with varied buildings, modern architectureand sustainable solutions. The area's situation close to the water has been fullyused in a way that not only the residents in these houses, but also other people,can take part of.2

Denna rapport innehåller ett utformningsförslag med illustrationer, beskrivande textoch ritningar på hur parkeringsbristen kan lösas i stadsdelen Gamlestan i Lysekilkommun med hjälp av ett parkeringshus i kombination med radhus ovanpå. Hänsyntas till val av byggmaterial, möjlig konstruktionslösning, PBL, BBR, brandsäkerhet,dagvattenhantering, och ekonomi. / This report contains a design proposal of how to solve the lack of parking spaces inthe district Gamlestan in Lysekil kommun with a multistory car park in combinationwith terraced houses on top. The proposal is presented through illustrations,describing text and blueprints. Choice of building materials, possible constructionsolution, PBL, BBR, fire safety, stormwater management and economy is taken inconsideration.

Detta examensarbete utreder och ger förslag på hur utemiljön kring Tingsrydtravets anläggning kan utformas för att bli attraktivare för olika arrangemang såväl inom hästsport som för andra verksamheter. Resultatet av rapporten är uppdelat i två förslag, det första förslaget skall vara realiserbart inom ett till två år samt till så låg kostnad som möjligt. Det andra förslaget är en utopisk framtidsvision utan hänsyn till ekonomiska begränsningar. Alla gestaltningsförslag är utformade med stark inspiration från småländsk natur och byggnadskultur. För att bevara och förstärka travanläggningens lokala karaktär har material och utformning av byggnader etcetera valts för att efterlikna småländsk, lantlig bebyggelse från förra sekelskiftet. Genom att förbättra anläggnings estetiska värden strävar Tingsrydtravet efter att förbättra besökarnas upplevelse, dra mer publik samt få möjlighet att vara arrangörer för fler evenemang. Med Tingsrydtravet som centrum hade detta på sikt bidragit till en utveckling av landsbygden kring Tingsryd, det så kallade ”Hästriket”.
