L'arrivée de produits multimédias dans le domaine de la formation en langues, comme le souligne Cembalo (2001), a fait naître "excitation et curiosité, espoirs et doutes, certitudes péremptoires et proclamations catastrophistes". Effectivement, alors que certains parlent à leur propos d'une révolution comparable à celle opérée par l'imprimerie de Gutenberg, d'autres n'en voient qu'une simple tromperie consumériste (Lancien 1998a). <br />L'objectif de ce travail est donc de tirer au clair les caractéristiques les plus prometteuses des produits multimédias ainsi que leurs limites afin de montrer ce que ces produits apportent comme changements notables et de quels points de vue ils diffèrent des autres processus déjà utilisés et qui continuent à être utilisés en didactique des langues. <br />Notre travail s'articule autour de trois grandes parties. Dans la première partie nous essayons d'interroger la généalogie des produits multimédias pour les situer par rapport aux technologies qui les ont précédés, car ils ne sont pas nés de rien. Dans la deuxième, nous procédons à l'analyse des cédéroms de langue et des sites Internet conçus pour l'apprentissage/enseignement du français afin d'envisager leur fonctionnement et caractéristique tant didactiques que techniques. Nous étudions, dans la troisième partie, les rapports établis entre ces outils et les autres méthodes ou approches du Français pour les positionner dans le terrain de la didactique des langues.<br />En ce qui concerne le choix des logiciels et des sites Internet qui sont toujours au centre de ce travail, nous nous en tenons aux produits, conçus pour la langue générale, qui s'adressent uniquement à un public débutant, faux-débutant ou intermédiaire et non pas à un public avancé que les concepteurs ne considèrent pas comme clientèle.

<p>Litorapid Media AB is a printer and prepresscompany, located on Hisingen, Gothenburg. Litorapid is a relatively large company, and is therefore in great need of convenient contacts with becoming and present customers. Seeing that they work with the most rescent technique in the branch of printing, it is important that they market themselves in a modern way. The purpose with this project became, for that reason, to create a more contemporary home page for the company to catch new customers, as well as aninteractive presentation of the company to create a more personal contact with customers they alreay have. </p><p>The home page was created in the programme Macromedia Dreamweaver 4, and its design is based on previouly distributed brochures. The interface is very much adapted to please the user. The interactive presentation of the company is created in Macromedia Director 7 and is divided into three different divisions. One part where you can get practical information concerning how to hand in information to Litorapid, one which serves the purpose of giving the same information as the home page, and the last and largest part is a tour of the company in eight steps, where one can follow a printed matter being produced from start to finish. The material used is gathered at Litorapid’s office with a digital camera and a videorecorder. </p><p>The final result is a homepage and a presentation of the company, showing the activity of Litorapid in a appealing and personal way. Furthermore, it is easy for customers to find the information they need. The new hompage is modern, and the introduction helps to catch the eye of an Internet user. The interactive presentation of the company gives us more details of Litorapid’s activity and is entertaining as well as informative. With these two marketing products Litorapid is shown as a contemporary printer.</p>

<p>Denna rapport beskriver utvecklingen av examensarbetet som utfördes på uppdrag av BrandEx Brandtätningar AB. Ett företag som brandskyddar byggnader, fartyg, oljeplattformar med mera. En officiell webbsida och en CD-ROM-produktion skapades åt företaget. </p><p>Webbsidan konstruerades i webbredigeringsprogrammet Macromedia Dreamweaver 4 och CD-ROM-produktionen i multimedieprogrammet Macromedia Director 7. Det använda materialet innehöll bilder och PDF-filer som BrandEx hade i sitt arkiv, men mycket nytt skapades, exempelvis animeringar och egna musikstycken. Webbsidan gjordes enligt önskemål från BrandEx med en enkel ochstilren design. CD-ROM-produktionen skapades under friare förhållanden med avseende på innehåll och design. Innehållet blandades med animeringar, en videofilm, bilder, text, ljud och musik. </p><p>Både webbsidan och CD-ROM-produktionen gjordes mer som produktionsmallar åt BrandEx. De skall själva kunna uppdatera dessa med ny information. BrandEx kommer att ge ut CD:n till kunder och andra intressenter som vill veta mer om företaget och om brandskydd. Den skall distribueras kostnadsfritt. Webbsidan kommer att vara den centrala informationsplatsen för BrandEx i Sverige. </p> / <p>This report describes the process of the examination work that was made after an offer from BrandEx Brandtätningar AB. A company that fireprotects buildings, ships, oil platforms and so on. An official web site and a CD-ROM-production were created for the company. </p><p>The web site was constructed in the web editing software Macromedia Dreamweaver 4 and the CD-ROM-production in the authoring tool for multimedia production Macromedia Director 7. The used material contained pictures and PDF-files from BrandEx archives, but lot of new material was created, for instance animations and own music tracks. The web site was made according to the wishes from BrandEx in a simple and pure design style. The CD-ROM-production was created under rather free conditions concerning content and design. The content was mixed with animations, a video, pictures, text, sounds and music. </p><p>Both the web site and the CD-ROM-production were made more like production templates for BrandEx. They will be able to update with new information by themselves. BrandEx will issue the CD to customers and other partners that want to know more about the company and about fireprotections. It will be freely distributed. The web site will be the central place of information for BrandEx in Sweden.</p>

<p>The purpose of this thesis was to examine the demand for cross directional control of basis weight on a board machine. To analyse the demand, changes made by the control system are studied. The significant changes were expected to be present when a major event occurred on the machine. The events classified as major were changes in basis weight, of grade or of coating blade. Break of board and stoppage of the machine were also included. These events can be seen as large disturbances to the machine. </p><p>In order to identify the disturbances a methodology had to be developed. The methodology developed is to analyse the output from a model with the actuators of the control system as input and measurement of basis weight as output. The analysis of this output was done using the multivariate method of principal component analysis. </p><p>The data analysed in this thesis was collected on-line from a board machine operating within the Stora Enso group. Over a period of 3 months, a total of 47 sets of data were collected, each set representing 12-14 hours. The data analysis shows that the variations in the control system are greater than the variation in the measured basis weight. This is a strong indication that the control system is needed and in order to find disturbances in the cross directional profile it is not enough only to analyse the final product, the control signals also have to be analysed. </p><p>The large disturbances do not necessarily emerge from the major events as assumed. Other causes might havelarger impact to the process then first believed. </p><p>One of the major obstacles in trying to explain the variations is that the basis weight is controlled by using the centre layer of the board but measured on the final product. This leads to the fact that the errors seen by the measuring system can result from anything on the machine and be compensated by basis weight in the centre layer of the board.</p>

<p>Uppsatsens syfte var att undersöka om lärare och elever som använder sig av CD-rom-baserade läromedel i undervisningen, anser att denna undervisningsform motiverar eleverna till att lära sig. För att kunna uppfylla syftet har vi gjort observationer och semistrukturerade intervjuer. Det var en personlig intervju med en lärare och två gruppdiskussioner med totalt åtta elever ur en mellanstadieklass. Klassen använde sig av CD-rombaserad undervisning i ämnet engelska. Observationen gav hjälp att utforma intervjufrågorna och möjlighet att jämföra det vi observerade med svaren vi fick under intervjuerna. Det resultat vi har kommit fram till är bl.a. att majoriteten av de tillfrågade eleverna tycker att det är roligare att arbeta med datorn än att arbeta i boken. Fem av eleverna tycker att undervisningsformen är rolig på grund av de ingående spelmomenten i programmet. Lika många anser att de skulle vilja ha liknande program i andra ämnen. Klassens lärare anser att den här arbetsformen gör att eleverna inte tänker på att de lär sig engelska. Eleverna är motiverade till att använda datorn och det leder till att de lär sig engelska på köpet. Lärarens tidigare erfarenhet från att byta läromedel i en klass, får henne att tro att motivationen till programmet kan vara på grund av nyhetens behag. Läraren kunde inte se någon skillnad i motivation mellan pojkar och flickor till att använda datorn eller att lära sig engelska med CD-romprogrammet.</p>

Is it possible, and suitable, to use multimedia in classic literature studies at Swedish upper secondary school? What alternatives are there?  Is there any foundation in the curriculum for an expanded conception of text as in multimedia?  Will the conception literacy support use of multimedia in classic literature studies, and in what ways? How do we generally look upon the definition text, is it only printed letters, or something more? To get an answer to the questions we decided to examine a number of theories, Gardner’s theory about the different intelligences, the conception literacy and the expanded text concept. In these three theories we took our starting-point for the following work. The main subjects became two interactive sights on Internet and one CD-ROM, all containing classic literature. Our previous knowledge in this subject field was very meager.  This work has given us an opportunity to discover some of the multimedia that is available, and the result we have come to is that multimedia absolutely belongs in studies of classic literature as well as in other subjects. We think it is necessary to pay attention to multimedia in the future education, because of the text flow in the society. Text flow is much more than just printed letters, for example web sites with further more experiences such as pictures/paintings and music, which makes a comprehensive picture. As we see it, this conclusion has support in the theories.

La tesis realizada se engloba dentro de los sistemas de carga rápida de baterías de media y gran capacidad. Dentro de esta tesis se ha desarrollado una metodología de ensayos original para el estudio de los procesos de carga de baterías de Ni-Cd y de Ni-MH. Además se ha propuesto un método de finalización de carga rápida original. El contenido de la tesis es el que se describe a continuación:En el capítulo 1 se estudia el estado del arte relacionado con las distintas tecnologías de baterías utilizadas en sistemas que funcionan bajo regímenes cíclicos de carga-descarga (plomo-ácido, níquel-cadmio, níquel-hidruro metálico y litio-ión). Además, se seleccionan las tecnologías más adecuadas para el funcionamiento en regímenes cíclicos de carga-descarga (Ni-Cd y Ni-MH), se plantea la problemática de la carga rápida y se establecen los objetivos del trabajo.En el capítulo 2 se realiza el estudio de las características de descarga de las tecnologías de baterías seleccionadas (Ni-Cd y Ni-MH).En el capítulo 3 se presenta una metodología de ensayos original desarrollada específicamente para el estudio de los procesos de carga en baterías de Ni-Cd y Ni-MH de media y gran capacidad (carga lenta y carga rápida). Además, se presentan los bancos de ensayos desarrollados para la realización de los ensayos de carga.En el capítulo 4 se realiza un exhaustivo análisis de los procesos de carga en baterías de Ni-Cd y Ni-MH basándose en diferentes índices de comportamiento como son: evolución de la tensión y de la temperatura, capacidad cargada y descargada, aceptación de carga, eficiencia energética, etc. Este estudio aporta una valiosa información dada la novedad de las baterías en estudio.En el capítulo 5 se realiza un análisis crítico de los métodos de carga actuales desde el punto de vista de su posible aplicación en carga rápida en baterías de media y gran capacidad.En el capítulo 6 se propone un método original de finalización de carga que junto a la selección de la razón de carga óptima en cada tecnología dan lugar a un método de carga preciso, fiable, fácil de implementar y económico.En el capítulo 7 se resumen las principales conclusiones y aportaciones de la tesis y las líneas futuras de trabajo.
