Representation inom barnens litterära värld : Normalisera icke-normativt innehåll

Hannu, Louise January 2020 (has links)
A lot of children’s books in today’s society are meant to create diversity with a more including content but it often leads to a content full of stereotypes. The books become stigmatized rather than representative of the diversity in different people. This is an issue since children learn a lot from books even in the technological world we live in right now. That is why the book Pim & Purpurfolket was made. This is the master thesis by Louise Hannu, at Luleå University of Technology is about analyzing and defying the ongoing trend of stereotypical content in children’s literature, by using a norm creative approach.

Desrochers, Marie-Eve 07 1900 (has links)
The richness of the text and images in some children's books can be used for cultural and interdisciplinary teaching in French and in the visual arts at the primary level. However, there are few tools to support and encourage teachers to apply such practices. The objective of this research and development is to design and test a tool for elementary school teachers to develop, among students, the skills to appreciate literary and artistic works, such as targeted in French and visual arts curriculum (MEQ, 2001) using a children's book. More specifically, this objective has been divided into three sub-objectives: 1) to design a prototype with the help of experts; 2) to develop the prototype based on testing with teachers; and 3) to develop a repertoire of children's books with pedagogical suggestions for validating the tool and encouraging the implementation of interdisciplinary practices in French and the visual arts. The prototype was evaluated by six experts and five elementary school teachers. The data collected from the evaluation questionnaires, the logbook kept during the training sessions and the documents related to the prototype made it possible to conclude that the tool allowed to deepen the teachers' knowledge concerning children's books and the skills "to appreciate". The creation of the repertoire based the modified version of the prototype also demonstrates that the children's books contain many elements appropriate for implementing interdisciplinary practices.

Inventório. Processos de design na divulgação científica para crianças: estudo de caso de livro informativo / Inventory design processes in science communication for children: informative book case study

Campos, Ana Paula 06 May 2016 (has links)
This qualitative study aimed to raise and discuss ways in which the design field can contribute to science communication for children. Specific applied design processes and certain investigative axes of research were identified from a survey of cases of science communication for children in Brazil and abroad, of different natures and media: collaborative processes, participatory processes, playfulness and information design. In order to highlight and discuss questions relating to these four axes, we conducted a case study of the children\'s information book Lá fora - Guia para descobrir a natureza (texts by Maria Ana Peixe Dias and Inês Teixeira do Rosário, illustrations by Bernardo P. Carvalho, Planeta Tangerina, Portugal, 2014). The case study is based on literature review on: collaborative processes, participatory processes, processes aimed at playfulness, information design, picturebooks and children\'s information books. The analysis suggests that the design field contribution to science communication for children can be enhanced the more comprehensive its scope is and the earlier it is introduced in the design process. In addition, each investigative axis highlights specific contributions, linked to the form of participation that design takes on the production process of the publication, namely: the informative, investigative and critical accuracy, and the creativity in addressing the themes of science (collaborative processes); the defense of autonomy, leadership and respect to cognitive and emotional needs of the child (participatory processes); the poetic, open, imaginative and complex approach of subjects addressed (processes aimed at playfulness); the attention to the usability and readability of objects, and its information visualization (information design).

Knihy nakladatelství Baobab pro děti předškolního věku a jejich role v rozvoji čtenářství / Children's books from the Baobab publishing house for pre-schoolchildren and their role in the development of the reading literary

Smutná, Petra January 2018 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe the uniqueness of the Baobab publishing house books for pre-school children and to find out what is the opinion of parents and pre- school teachers on selected books from this publishing house, on their content and on their graphic design. In the theoretical part I describe and explain the basic concepts of the reading literacy. I also devote to the contemporary situation in the book market for children, especially pre- school children, mostly non-readers. I focus on a small alternative publishing house called Baobab, its book production for children in general, and on its awarded books. In the empirical part I interviewed parents (41 returned questionnaires altogether) about their awareness and opinion on the Baobab publishing house and on selected books published by Baobab, namely Jak zvířataspí (How Animals Sleep), Šmalcova ABECEDA (Šmalec's Alphabet) and Z domu a zahrady (From the House And the Garden). I also interviewed 7 pre- school teachers to find out about their awareness of the Baobab publishing house and about their opinion on the selected books. Unlike the parents, all teachers had known the publishing house. It was proved that although the publishing house was awarded several prizes for its children's books (especially for the graphic design), the...

VÝTVARNÁ VÝCHOVA - LITERÁRNÍ VÝCHOVA: Průměty "vyšší" kultury v estetické edukaci na příkladu geometrického umění. / ART EDUCATION - LITERARY EDUCATION: Subjects of "higher" culture in aesthetic education on the example of geometric art.

Vaniš, Leo January 2021 (has links)
1 Leo Vaniš: Abstrakt dizertace (EN): The dissertation theses "ART EDUCATION - LITERARY EDUCATION: The subjects of" higher "culture in aesthetic education on the example of geometric art" is based primarily on the field of educational sciences, focusing on two areas of the educational process: art and literary education. Two equivalent school subjects matters (which the very graphic concept of the name by capital letters suggests, as well as the intentional duplication of the word education) is based on the study of culture, which is conceived on two levels - "higher" and "lower," possibly simple, unprofessional, but not necessarily of lower quality. The intentional introduction of the word "higher" in quotation marks already in itself suggests that it will be a problem of defining what such a culture means, what it can look like and how it can be understood in an educational context. collection of so-called canonically anchored works, in the field of verbal and artistic creation, while cross-sectionally focusing on one researched aspect - geometry. Whith the concept of dual geometry (often referred to in the theses as the "phenomenon of simple and artistic geometrization") the author tries to show the projection of already established great artistic values into contemporary educational reality, defining...
