Desenvolvida a partir de uma perspectiva histórico-cultural, essa temática centrou-se na análise de fenômenos/temas/fatos em torno dos feminismos, suas representações e apropriações, expressos no debate sobre a sexualidade feminina e a luta por igualdade política mais atenta aos direitos civis em relação aos homens. Tais temas foram apropriados, capitalizados e devolvidos às leitoras como discursos ideológicos materializados na prestação de serviços pelas revistas Claudia e Querida que viam, nas ditas redefinições, ora um fenômeno de mudança cultural de caráter revolucionário, ora acomodações de práticas sociais modernas, que se afirmavam em meio às disputas com os segmentos que defendiam as ideologias tradicionais, voltadas às ações das mulheres nos espaços públicos e privados. Das principais fontes utilizadas, foram selecionadas matérias informativas sobre assuntos diversos, considerados de interesse das leitoras, como a atuação política, os direitos das mulheres, o casamento, o desquite e o divórcio e o controle da natalidade, além das seções de cartas e colunas de “consultório sentimental”, que circularam em vários exemplares de Claudia e Querida, entre os anos de 1960 e 1979. / The central theme of this work was the verification of how the representations of a new type of woman was built in Brazil, during the 1960's and 70's, through the examination of two periodicals, the magazines Claudia and Querida. Based on a cultural-historical point of view, this theme was centered upon the analysis of facts, themes and phenomenon concerning feminism, its representations and appropriations expressed in the debate about female sexuality and the struggle for political equality, particularly on the civil rights in respect of men. Such topics were appropriated, capitalized and returned to the women, readers of those magazines, as ideological discourses manifested in the format of services carried out by Claudia and Querida, which considered the redefinitions of the new woman, either a phenomenon of cultural change marked by revolutionary features, or adjustments of modern social practices being affirmed among the disputes with segments of traditional ideologies defenders, concerning women's actions in public and private spaces. Informative issues on several subjects were chosen from the main sources, taking into account the interest of female readers such as political actions, women's rights, marriage, divorce, birth control besides the letters and sentimental advisory sections, which were easily found in various copies of Claudia and Querida in the 1960's and 70's.

In my essay, I illuminate evil from the perspective of whether we can explain evil deeds through the perpetrator's narrative. As an object for my study, I have chosen a popular culture perspective - the character The Joker - which has been portrayed several times. The purpose of the essay is to study if we understand and can come to terms with evil deeds if we also know the perpetrator's narrative. The starting point for this reasoning is the question of whether evil deeds can always be defined as evil? I have limited my thesis to be based on theories based on traditional and historical research in the field of evil. The material I have used for my analysis is limited to the shape of The Joker in the script of the films The Dark Knight and The Joker. Methodologically, the essay is based on textual idea analysis - around evil and myths.  Out of the scripts of The Joker and The Dark Knight I have developed a hypothesis which I finally discuss the reasonableness and test logically. Theoretically, I have based my study on Lars Svendsen's analysis of evil, John Martin Fischer's analysis of the meaning of the narrative and Claudia Card's discussion of grey areas. Based on these, I have analysed, discussed and argued to test my hypothesis and answer the question of the essay: Is The Joker's narrative an explanation for his evil deeds? The study's method and analysis have generated a result that shows that this is not the case. The Joker has made his own free choices that have made him who he is and what he does. His narrative is not an explanation for his demonic evil deeds.

The inquiry of this essay is to examine the expression of evil in fantasy literature with a special focus on J.K. Rowlings’ Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s stone and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, but also C.S. Lewis’ Narnia the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Narnia the Last Battle. The purpose is to illuminate different depictions of evil in the books and reflect what these depictions can tell us about evil in our contemporary context. With this essay I want to show how world views are present in fantasy literature with a special focus on the portrayal of evil and its significance for the understanding of the narrative. I mean that the understanding and depiction of evil is a universal problem and an existential issue of relevance to world views.

Ce mémoire considère l'évolution des stéréotypes racistes et sexistes qui sont contestés dans trois œuvres littéraires afro-américaines, soit Not Without Laughter de Langston Hughes, The Bluest Eye de Toni Morrison et Citizen : An American Lyric de Claudia Rankine. L'analyse de ces livres vise à déterminer comment la double contrainte des femmes noires sous-tend les stéréotypes et préjugés qui sont apparus pendant l'esclavage et qui persistent dans la culture du vingt-et-unième siècle. Ces stéréotypes, tels que la Mammy, la Jezebel ou la femme en colère, ont été créés et maintenus afin de fournir une justification idéologique à la marginalisation et à l'exploitation des femmes noires. De plus, ils ont servi à soutenir les intérêts et objectifs de la société blanche patriarcale telle que manifestée aux États-Unis à travers le temps. Encore aujourd'hui, ces images discriminatoires et non représentatives contribuent à la perpétuation du racisme et du sexisme, et continuent de contrôler le corps, l'esprit, et la sexualité des femmes noires aux États-Unis. À travers une analyse chronologique des œuvres, publiées respectivement en 1930, 1970, et 2014, mon argumentaire postule que les performances de féminité noire étudiées dans chaque roman révèlent un désir de contester et réfuter ces stéréotypes, s'avérant ainsi des actes de résistance et d'autodétermination. Mon approche, éclairée par les théories de l'intersectionnalité et du féminisme noir, étudie la manière dont Hughes, Morrison, et Rankine revisitent, remettent en question, et déconstruisent les stéréotypes raciaux afin de mettre en évidence la multiplicité des identités féminines Afro-Américaines et ainsi, rejeter la fausse perception monolithique des femmes noires. / This thesis investigates the evolution of racist and sexist stereotypes forced onto black women in three African American works: Langston Hughes's Morrison's The Bluest Eye , and Claudia Rankine's Not Without Laughter Citizen: An American Lyric , Toni . The thesis aims to show the pervasiveness of the double bind of African American women that emerged during slavery and that persists in the culture of the twenty-first century as the Mammy, the Jezebel, or the angry black woman, among . Stereotypes, such others, were created and maintained to provide an ideological justification for the marginalization and exploitation of black women, which, in turn, were used to support the interests of the white mainstream and patriarchal society. To this day, these cont rolling images black female body, mind, and sexuality perpetuate racism and regulate the in the United States. Through a chronological analysis of the works, respectively published in 1930, 1970, and 2014, my argumentation posits that the chosen iterations of black womanhood talk back to their racial heritage, a vexed history of misrepresentation and misconception, thereby allowing for new performances and scripts of the black female self to be inscribed in culture. My approach to this thesis, grounded in theorizations related to intersectionality and black feminism, demonstrates that Hughes, Morrison, and Rankine revisit, challenge, and deconstruct racial stereotypes to highlight the multiplicity of African American female identities and, ultimately, reject the monolithic perception of black women.

La société argentine vue par la littérature policière « décennie infâme et postménémisme » / Argentinian society as seen through detective literature : “infamous decade and post-menemist crisis”

L’objectif de cette Thèse consiste à accroître nos connaissances sur la société argentine par une approche particulière. Nous sommes persuadés que la littérature policière est une métaphore de la société contemporaine et qu’à travers son analyse nous parviendrons à mieux comprendre son fonctionnement. Notre travail ne cherche pas à donner une vision globale du genre mais à confronter la production dans deux étapes critiques de l’histoire argentine : la Décennie Infâme (1930-1943) et la crise postménémiste (de 1999 à nos jours). Suivant le modèle créé par Karl Marx (« Le 18 brumaire de Louis Bonaparte ») nous les avons appelées Tragédie et Farce. En effet, nos recherches nous ont permis de découvrir les résonances qui existent entre les deux périodes. Cette Thèse s’inscrit dans le cadre de la sociocritique. La lecture socio-historique des textes nous fera passer en revue tout le vingtième siècle, des préceptes modernistes du Siècle des Lumières à l’hypermodernisme de Gilles Lipovetsky ou à la modernité liquide de Zygmunt Bauman. Nous avons organisé notre travail selon trois éléments principaux et indissociables : la ville, la figure du détective et la société ; à travers ces pages nous avons suivi leur évolution. / The objective of this Thesis is to increase our knowledge of Argentinian society by a specific approach. We are convinced that detective literature is a metaphor of the contemporary society and that through its analysis we will arrive at a better understanding of it. Our work does not seek to give a comprehensive view of this literature but to confront literary production with two critical periods of Argentinian history: the Infamous Decade (1930-1943) and the post-Menemist crisis. Following the model created by Karl Marx (“The Eighteenth Brumaire of Louis Napoléon”) we have called them Tragedy and Farce. Our research shows the resonances between these two periods. Our research consists of a sociological approach. A sociohistorical reading of the literary texts brings us to review the whole of the twentieth century, from the modernistic precepts of the Age of Enlightenment to the hypermodernism of Gilles Lipovetsky or the liquid modernity of Zygmunt Bauman. We have organized our work according to three principal and indissociable elements: the city, the figure of the detective and the society; throughout these pages we have followed their evolution.

The ideology propagated by the media discourse is disseminated in diverse social groups, establishing values for evaluation of the reality and influencing social behavior. The analyses performed aimed to demystify the language that supposedly has no intentionality and to observe the confrontation between this language and the individual, its history and ideology. It will be possible to conclude that ingenuous texts or non influent authorship did not exist. In this paper it is elucidated, by means of a theoretical procedure of the Discourse Analysis, that the language plays an important role as vehicle of thought expression and values of a determined time / O presente trabalho tem como objetivo examinar as marcas e mecanismos discursivos nos artigos que abordam a temática da espiritualidade e da feminilidade na Revista Claudia, e de sua relação com o paradigma comportamental da mulher contemporânea. A ideologia veiculada pelo discurso da mídia é disseminada nos diversos grupos sociais, estabelecendo valores que servem de instrumentos para avaliação da realidade, influenciando o comportamento social. A análise se propôs a desmistificar a linguagem desprovida de intencionalidade, bem como observar o seu confronto, com o sujeito, a história e a ideologia, permitindo-nos concluir que não se pode pensar em textos ingênuos ou em autoria sem influências, principalmente no que concerne aos efeitos de sentido do texto a partir da interação entre enunciador e enunciatário. Neste trabalho elucida-se, por meio de um procedimento teórico da Análise do Discurso, que a linguagem desempenha um papel importante como veículo de expressão de pensamentos e valores de uma determinada época

For this purpose it was used the methodology indicated by Discourse Analysis, in Maingueneau's reflexions. Due to the choosen theory, this work seeks to observe the enunciative scene and the interdiscourse, which was analysed from the heterogeneity presented in the selected discourses. It was possible to identify that the interdiscourse of samples and their respective enunciative scenes build up a different image between Brazilian and Portuguese women. Brazilian women bring together traditional and modern features and do not inquiry their social role, just seeking to address the issues that arise throughout life. Portuguese women reflect on their role, since their image is in the process of construction and the analyzed discourses cause these reflections. Key Words: interdiscourse, enunciative scene and woman / O objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar como os discursos de editoriais de revistas femininas, em especial, a revista Claudia (brasileira) e Máxima (portuguesa), constroem a imagem da mulher no século XXI. Para tanto, utilizou-se a metodologia indicada pela Análise do Discurso, nas reflexões de Maingueneau. Optou-se por observar, pela teoria escolhida, a cena enunciativa e o interdiscurso. Esse último foi analisado a partir da heterogeneidade mostrada nos discursos selecionados. Foi possível identificar que o interdiscurso das amostras e suas respectivas cenas enunciativas constroem uma imagem diversa entre a mulher brasileira e a portuguesa. A mulher brasileira acumula características tradicionais e modernas e não questiona seu papel social, apenas procura resolver as questões que se colocam ao longo da vida. A portuguesa ainda reflete sobre seu papel, sua imagem está em processo de construção e os discursos analisados provocam essas reflexões

As a major source of anthropological research, the photography allows the reflection of important values and attitudes, through the comprehension of feelings, which are necessary to re-qualify human actions and relations in the present time. To verify this, it has been reconstituted the trajectory of Claudia Andujar, by investigating her images, which registered 40 years of experiences with the Yanomami community, aimed at understanding their collective memory and identity through her memories / Nesse trabalho, pretende-se revelar o potencial que a fotografia tem de estabelecer uma relação de respeito entre culturas diferentes, tais como brancos e índios, ao mesmo tempo em que possui a capacidade inerente de armazenar e transmitir a memória coletiva de um grupo ao outro, do passado ao presente, preservando o conhecimento e a identidade do grupo retratado. Como instrumento central de pesquisa antropológica, a fotografia permite a reflexão sobre valores e atitudes importantes, com base na compreensão dos sentimentos, necessários para requalificar as ações e as relações do homem no presente.
