Considering the challenges of mandatory music education in Brazil and the universalization of Early Childhood Education, this study aims to explore the idea of children and Music as transformation drivers. This research utilizes a qualitative approach, configured as a case study, carried out at Children Education Reference Center at Colégio Pedro II School, with boys and girls aged 3 to 6 years, from March 2014 to March 2017. Through sensitively listening to the thoughts, opinions, ideas, and voices of children, using sound-musical experiences and interviews, called ConversAções, it was sought to investigate how young children construct and perceive musical education in the Colégio Pedro II School and use these data to build an artistic educational project WITH and FROM The discussions were conducted in narrative form and brought the children's musical ideas in a lively way. The theoretical basis framework was based on philosophical, educational, sociological and pedagogic-musical, which are: (a) a rhizomatic proposal that builds a network of meanings, based on the Deleuze and Guattari thinking; (b) a sensitive listening to children, supported by the Sociology of Childhood and the Pedagogy of Listening of the Reggio Emilia schools; (c) a democratic, critical, liberating education built by the school community, based on the thinking of Paulo Freire and the practice of the Reggio Emília schools; (d) the understanding of music as art, game, creation and human development factor, supported by the studies of the Companhia de Música Teatral - Portugal, Rodrigues, Koellreutter, Brito, Schafer and Gainza. The dialogue between the adopted theoretical basis and the children's voices allowed the identification of three basis for the construction of musical education of the young child in a school context: play, integrate and create. This research has led to the understanding of boys and girls as competent research informants, co-investigators, creative agents of culture, and co-constructors of reality. Through sound-musical experiences, in the play, integration and creation contexts, children transform themselves, their peers, the school and the society in which they are existing. The discussions revealed the perspective of a playful, integrative, creative, democratic, social, cultural and human musical education. / CAPES - PSDE: 88881.131648/2016-01

Create React App vs NextJS : A comparison of two ReactJS based web application frameworks

Johansson, Jens January 2021 (has links)
Web applications are built on numerous of different web frameworks and developers have a plethora of different web frameworks to choose from when developing a web application. Two popular web frameworks on the market are NextJS and Create React App (CRA). Each framework has its own advantages and disadvantages in different perspectives. The objective of this study is to review if there are any differences in these two popular web frameworks in a continuous integration and continuous delivery perspective looking closer at the differences in the development process when extending applications and the time it takes to build and deploy applications in the different frameworks. To gain knowledge about the subject, a theoretical study on web based sources has been made and an application has been created in both framework to then be extended with further tools to be able to perform the comparison. The study shows that the frameworks results in similar build and deployment times but does however differ in the configurations when extending applications and that NextJS did provide a more straightforward configuration.

The use of the draw a person (DAP) and DAP variations to explore the self in educational psychology

Weideman, Junita Grezelda 02 1900 (has links)
During her theoretical training as an educational psychologist, the researcher was intrigued and fascinated by the expositions on the functioning of the self. With this study she pursued her goal to gain a clearer understanding of the formation and development of the self in a child, with the focus on the child in middle childhood (6 -12 years). In this study, she mainly focused on understanding the connection between the three crucial components of the self, self-concept and self-esteem. Her passion for art inspired her to be inventive and apply artistic creative methods of drawing, painting and clay human modelling as projective means to access the child’s unconscious mind, revealing pivotal experiences and emotions, revealing how the child relates to his or her self. According to this qualitative arts-based research study, the DAP (Draw a Person) and variations of PAP (Paint a Person) and CAP (Create a Person) with the use of appropriate DAP, PAP and CAP questionnaires, seem relevant therapeutic projective measures to assist in educational psychology in exploring the child’s self. / The aim of an organization is to satisfy the needs and desires of the customer. For this, the organization must have service orientation. Therefore, the organization needs a basic set of organizational policies, practices and procedures to be able to deliver service excellence. When the hospitality industry understands that their future survival and growth depends upon creating and offering unique and memorable experiences for their customers, and realized that co-creation can be adopted to try to respond to customer expectations, their ability to co-create and their willingness to co-create will be the key to put co-creation in practice. Faced with this scenario the on-line reviews can be used as a way to comprehend the personal thoughts, reactions and opinions of the clients about the services that the organization offers. With this, is possible to analyze if the client really perceived an excellence in the services provided. Then, this research aims to analyze the effects of hotel service orientation (i) in their ability to co-create, (ii) in their willingness to co-create and (iii) in on-line reviews, and (iv) analyze the effect of ability to co-create have on willingness to co-create. Therefore, an exploratory study was made with 6 hotels, an attempt to get a better knowledge of how the studied constructs fits on the hotel sector to assist on the scales validation. Afterwards, a survey was realized with 155 hotels in the State of Rio Grande do Sul in order to investigate the aspects presented previously. The statistic technique used was Structural Equation Model (MEE). The results have shown that service orientation influences ability to co-create, willingness to co-create and on-line reviews positively. The explained variance has reached important indexes since service orientation explained 88,8% of ability to co-create, 33,3% of willingness to co-create and 33,3% of on-line reviews that hotels received by clients. On the other hand, ability to co-create has not presented influence on willingness to co-create. Thus, hotels should search a major service orientation to reach high levels of co-creation and better on-line reviews.

Evaluation of the ZDES method on an axial compressor : analysis of the effects of upstream wake and throttle on the tip-leakage flow.

Riera, William 27 November 2014 (has links)
The tip-leakage flow in axial compressors is studied with the Zonal Detached Eddy Simulation (ZDES). This study aims at evaluating the capability of hybrid URANS/LES methods to simulate the tip-leakage flow within a realistic axial compressor in order to better understand the involved physics, especially the behaviour of the flow near surge and the effects of stator wakes on the downstream rotor. Once the ZDES method is chosen, a numerical test bench is defined to simulate the first rotor of the research compressor CREATE. This bench takes into account the unsteady effects of the Inlet Guide Vane (IGV), such as its wake as well as vortices generated at the IGV hub and tip. It is based upon ZDES meshing criteria and is used to evaluate this method compared to classic RANS and URANS approaches. A method validation is carried out up to a spectral analysis compared to experimental data. The ZDES is capable to capture more accurately the intensity and position of the unsteady phenomena encountered in the tip region, especially the tip-leakage vortex. The power spectral densities highlight that this partly originates from a better capture of the energy transfer from large to small structures until their dissipation. The discrepancy between the methods is accentuated as the tip-leakage vortex crosses the shock. Near the surge line, the interactions between the shock, the tip-leakage vortex, the boundary layer developing on the shroud and the vortex generated by the IGV tip are amplified. The boundary layer on the shroud separates earlier and a local flow inversion occurs. Besides, the tip-leakage vortex widens and is deflected toward the adjacent blade. This strengthens the double leakage. At the design operating point, the interaction of the IGV tip vortex with the shock and the rotor tip vortex is studied. A vortex flutter is observed as the IGV tip vortex arrives on the rotor blade and stretches the rotor tip vortex. This phenomenon decreases the double leakage.
