Therefore we got data about this model still not well known in the academic area. The method used for the research had a qualitative approach emphasizing in the company FEMAQ S.A., using a semi-structured interview technique, observation and document analysis as our sources for data collection. To reach this objective, at first we had to define the difference between the concepts of Solidarity Economy and Economy of Sharing , due to some confusion that has been sometimes been happening between these two models. Afterwards we covered some theoretical basic concepts, about the research developed such as: values, organizational values, philosophy (life), solidarity, character and gift. In a third part we emphasized the aspects of the origin, discourse and repercussion of Economy of Sharing. We came to the conclusion that evidence found in this research, such as a more human relationship, trust, family environment, possibility of the being human (not perfect) and others seem to qualify this company in this style of management, which is characteristic of Economy of Sharing.

Sánchez, Tomas Guzmán January 2013 (has links)
This discertation has its focus on the empiric interest of the search and the construction of the solidary relationships that were built as a result of the Agênda Colômbia-Brasil constitution. This text inquires the way in which due to the narratives related with social and political conflicto in Colombia discussions about solidary relationships between different political contexts. This work tries to stablish how emotional actions lead to solidary potical process which knotted in the same time experiences on brazilian militans and migrants of differetn political parties and political movements. In the same way this work claims for the emergency escenarios of this type of political organization and its positioning on a transnational political space.

Jorge Arturo Villena Medrano 23 April 2007 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to analyze forms and relations of integrated organizational communication into the Economy of Communion perspective, in a Brazilian organization. The Economy of Communion (EoC) consists into a socio-economic project that had birth from the experience of Focolare Movement, a civil and ecclesiastic movement. Nowadays, EoC is dispersing around 40 countries, involving almost 800 companies. The organizational communication integrated in the Economy of Communion context presents peculiar characteristics. Analyzing the communications forms and relations developed in practice allow us to realize the importance of this new way of acting in the social and economic field. Adopting the phenomenological method and case study we entered the organization reality using this philosophy to find, in practice, what is presented in the ideological conception of this proposal. This study involves concepts not much adopted in the academy, such as Culture of Giving, new man and others, that when deeply searched reveal us a communicational praxis based on sharing.

Etika filantropie / Ethics of Philanthropy

Kroupa, Jan January 2020 (has links)
Charles University Faculty of Humanities Applied Ethics Ethics of Philanthropy Annotation of Doctoral Thesis Mgr. Jan Kroupa Supervised by: prof. PhDr. Jan Sokol, CSc., Ph.D. 2020 ANNOTATION The increase in private wealth in our cultural circuits has been unprecedented which fosters growth in private philanthropy. Charitable giving has been on a rise throughout the western world, including the Czech Republic, where we can document long-term and steady growth in both the number of charitable gifts as well as in the amount donated. In parallel, on the beneficiary side, there is a stabilized sector of well-established civic organizations covering the standard array of charitable topics. We may state that following 1989, the Czech civic sector has been revived, showing - despite all challenges - most signs of healthy maturing. In this paper, we attempted to capture the cultural and social context of philanthropy from the point of view of practical philosophy. We examined the rich roots of philanthropy and described the processes of its institutionalization until now. We paid special attention to describing the current situation of philanthropic giving in the Czech Republic. On basis of the above, we debated some of the dilemmatic questions of today's philanthropy, such as selecting the beneficiary and donor...

Služby ve jménu dobra Rotary kluby v České republice / Services in the Name of Good Rotary Clubs in the Czech Republic

Holas, Jakub January 2014 (has links)
The thesis analyses the motives of charity and its various forms in the present society. It builds on the critical theory of "studying up", formulated by Laura Nader in 1970s. It considers the difficulties of ethnographic research in an unequal-power terrain, where the anthropologist finds himself in an unwelcome position. Based on a one-year long research of Rotary clubs, the thesis examines the question of whether the charity is a pure act of altruism, following of self-interest, or a combination of both. Charity has lost its significance from its original Christian form over time. Today, it takes the form of a successful marketing tool. For someone it may mean caring for the disadvantaged, for another a simple tool to ease his conscience; for others a convenient pretext for the setting up of a private club. Charity in some respect replaced the Christian confession and like other commodities in the neoliberal system is consumed without creating a long-term relation between the donor and the donee. Rotary International is a worldwide network of private clubs, among its members are leaders in the financial sector, health care, public administration, journalism and science and research. One can therefore examine the Rotary club from an anthropological point of view of emerging capitalism in the...

Guardians of Historical Knowledge: Textbook Politics, Conservative Activism, and School Reform in Mississippi, 1928-1982

Johnson, Kevin Boland 17 May 2014 (has links)
This project examines the role cultural transmission of historical myths plays in power relationships and identity formation through a study of the Mississippi textbook regulatory agency and various civic organizations that shaped education policy in addition to textbook content. A study of massive resistance to integration, my project focuses on the anticommunism and conservative ideology of grassroots segregationists. Civic-patriotic societies such as the Daughters of the American Revolution, the American Legion, and Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation formed as the major alliance affecting the state’s education system in the post-World War II era. Once the state department of education centralized its services in the late 1930s and early 1940s, civic club reformers guarded against integrationist and multicultural content found in textbooks, deeming both as subversive and communistic. From the early 1950s through the 1970s, Mississippi’s ardent segregationists and anticommunists shaped education policy by effective statelevel lobbying and grassroots activism. I demonstrate that the civic clubs had more influence in the state legislature than did the upstart Citizens’ Council movement. In addition, I show that once social studies standards emphasizing God, country, and Protestant Christianity became codified in state education policy, it became ever more difficult for other reformers, namely James W. Loewen and Charles Sallis, to dislodge and alter those standards. Through numerous legal cases, DAR and Farm Bureau ephemera, and state superintendent of education files, this work argues that the civic clubs played an integral role in defense of white supremacy—a role that has been underemphasized in the existing literature on massive resistance.

Bugingo, Emmanuel. 25 April 2018 (has links)
