Esta tese pretende estudar a experiência docente e intelectual de Jean Maugüé, membro da missão francesa e responsável pelo curso de Filosofia, a partir de 1935, na recém-fundada Universidade de São Paulo, onde ficou até 1943, quando partiu como soldado para compor as tropas francesas no norte da África, sob o comando, de Londres, do general Charles De Gaulle. O propósito central é identificar tal experiência com a instauração de uma decisiva experiência intelectual e conseqüente constituição de um determinante processo formativo dos estudos filosóficos no Brasil, fundamentalmente em São Paulo. A pesquisa, para tanto, detém-se nas providências tomadas pelo jovem normalien, na sua percepção das peculiaridades locais, nas diretrizes estabelecidas para o ensino da filosofia no Brasil, na criação de uma rotina de estudos filosóficos na faculdade e nas primeiras gerações brasileiras de formados pela profilática orientação. Tal processo, como sabemos, seria posteriormente redimensionado pelas novas gerações de professores que ocupariam a cátedra francesa no Departamento de Filosofia da USP, preponderantemente Martial Guéroult, em São Paulo entre 1948-50 e, indiretamente, Victor Goldschmidt, professor na Universidade de Rennes. / This thesis intends to study Jean Maugüés intellectual and teaching experience. He was a member of the French Mission and responsible for the course of Philosophy, since 1935, in the just-established University of São Paulo, to where he belonged until 1943, when he left as a soldier to compose the French troops in North Africa, under the command, from London, of general Charles de Gaulle. The innermost intention is to identify such experience with the instauration of a decisive intellectual experience and consequent constitution of a determinative formative process of the philosophical studies in Brazil, basically in São Paulo. The research, to be accomplished, is based in the steps taken by the young normalien, in his perception of the local peculiarities, in the guidelines established for the education of the philosophy in Brazil, in the creation of a routine for philosophical studies in the college and in the first Brazilian generations graduated upon the prophylactic orientation. Such process, as we know, would be later reformatted by the new generations of professors who would occupy the French chair in the Department of Philosophy of the USP, preponderantly Martial Guéroult, in São Paulo between 1948-50 and, indirectly, Victor Goldschmidt, professor in the University of Rennes.

The present research aims to discuss how the notions of discernment and development present in the PEC 171 are configured as power relations in the construction of the adolescent offender and how they are updated with the human capital theory. For this purpose, we will use a method of genealogical inspiration, trying to do a search that does not seek an origin for the facts studied or a causal correspondence between present and past, but which proposes to tell a story that goes back to the fields of struggle / power that allowed the emergence of these relations. In this way, the normalization of the judiciary will be discussed, as a means to study discernment, as well as new conceptions of childhood and adolescence in the legislation, which refer education as a means of development. Finally, we will associate the discussions made with the theories of development and human capital, which underpin and reinforce the need for education for a ready human being and a developed country. / A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo discutir como as noções de discernimento e desenvolvimento presentes na PEC 171 se configuram como relações de poder na construção do adolescente infrator e como se atualizam com a teoria do capital humano. Para tal intento, utilizaremos um método de inspiração genealógica, tentando fazer uma pesquisa que não busque uma origem para os fatos estudados ou uma correspondência causal entre presente e passado, mas que se proponha a contar uma história que remonte aos campos de luta/poder que permitiram o surgimento dessas relações. Desse modo, será discutida a normalização do judiciário, enquanto meio para estudo do discernimento, bem como as novas concepções de infância e adolescência na legislação, que remetem a educação como meio de desenvolvimento. Por fim, associaremos as discussões feitas com as teorias do desenvolvimento e capital humano, as quais embasam e reforçam a necessidade de educação para um ser humano pronto e um país desenvolvido.

[pt] A presente dissertação propõe uma investigação de dois textos do autor espanhol Baltasar Gracián (1601- 1658): El Discreto (1646) e A Arte da Prudência (1647), cujo título original é Oráculo Manual e A Arte da Prudência. A partir da leitura de ambos os trabalhos são esboçadas algumas peculiaridades da monarquia absolutista de Filipe IV (1621-1665). Valores e conceitos como engenho, discrição e etiqueta que estavam presentes na vida dos homens de corte, são retomados aqui a fim de desenvolver a pesquisa e contribuir na compreensão da vida em sociedade durante o século XVII. Para o melhor aproveitamento dos textos é estabelecido um debate sobre diferentes conceitos do Barroco, que foram produzidos em diferentes momentos por autores distintos. É a partir da compreensão das características do Discreto e do Barroco que se pode concluir a importância dos textos selecionados, não apenas para a sociedade espanhola, como para outras cortes da Europa Ocidental. Desta maneira, os textos de Gracián são de fundamental importância para formar um quadro da monarquia espanhola do século XVII e dos homens que a constituíam. / [en] This dissertation aims an investigation of two texts of the Spanish s author Baltasar Gracián: El Discreto and Arte da Prudência, which original title is Oráculo manual e Arte da Prudência. Based at the reading of both works are delineated some particularities of Filipe s IV absolutist monarchy. Valours and concepts as ingeniousness, discernment and etiquette, which were presents at the life of court s man, are recapturing here to develop the investigation and contribute at the understanding of the society s life during the 17th century. For the best exploitation of the texts, is established a debate about the different concepts of baroque, which were created at different moments by distinct authors. Is based on the comprehension of the Discreto and baroque s characteristics that it is possible to conclude the importance of the selective texts, not only for the Spanish society, but also for the others courts of the western Europe. So, the Gracián s texts have a fundamental importance to portray the Spanish monarchy of the 17th century and the men who formatted it.

[pt] Conceitos Essenciais para uma Teologia Moral Fundamental pós-conciliar: reflexões a partir da Ética de Jesus nas Bem-aventuranças de Mt 5,3-10 propõe uma reflexão acerca das questões morais que assolam a humanidade. Faz um estudo filosófico do campo que alguns nomeiam de ética e outros, de moral para propor uma reflexão acerca da teologia moral e/ou da ética religiosa. Em seguida, procura estabelecer os fundamentos da ética teológica contemporânea. Sendo assim, faz uso dos conceitos de fenomenologia e intencionalidade, além de adentrar a antropologia teológica de Edith Stein e a Ética do Seguimento de Jesus de Nazaré. Em seguida, apresenta-se uma fundamentação histórica da teologia moral, desde o horizonte pós-tridentino e casuístico até o contexto pós-Vaticano II, por meio de seus principais teólogos moralistas. Na sequência, faz-se um esforço de reflexão acerca das Bem-Aventuranças, com uma exegese e hermenêutica de cunho ético-teológico. Por fim, debruça-se sobre os conceitos fundamentais da Teologia Moral Contemporânea com um destaque maior para os conceitos de Opção Fundamental, Discernimento Moral e Consciência. / [en] Essential Concepts for a Post-Conciliar Fundamental Moral Theology: Reflections from the Ethics of Jesus in the Beatitudes of Mt 5,3-10 proposes a reflection on the moral issues that plague humanity. There is a philosophical study of the field that some call ethics and others, moral to propose a reflection on moral theology and/or religious ethics. Then there is an attempt to the foundations of contemporary theological ethics. Therefore, the concepts of phenomenology and intentionality are used, in addition to entering the theological anthropology of Edith Stein and the Ethics of the Follow of Jesus of Nazareth. Then, a historical foundation of moral theology is presented, from the post-Tridentine and casuistic horizons to the post-Vatican II context, through its main moralist theologians. Subsequently, an effort is made to reflect on the Beatitudes, with an exegesis and hermeneutics of an ethical-theological nature. Finally, it focuses on the fundamental concepts of Contemporary Moral Theology with a greater emphasis on the concepts of Fundamental Option, Moral Discernment and Conscience.

[pt] O discernimento é uma dimensão intrínseca à vida cristã. No contato com textos bíblicos podemos atestá-la desde os profetas passando por Jesus, Paulo e João. O discernimento nos insere numa vida de fé dinâmica, constantemente interpelada pela ação do Espírito Santo. Essas interpelações devem nos levar a atitudes concretas, onde o ser humano investe sua liberdade no projeto salvífico de Deus. Nessa dissertação propomos uma compreensão dessa realidade a partir da ótica de Inácio de Loyola, o que representa o modo como ele buscou captar e interpretar a vontade de Deus em sua vida e de como este modo proporciona mais qualidade no seguimento a Jesus Cristo. A marca da sua espiritualidade é o discernimento, o qual é baseado na sua forte experiência de Deus. Inácio enfatiza que Deus se faz ouvir e compreender nos condicionamentos humanos de cada época, nas experiências mais cotidianas; pode ser buscado e encontrado em todas as coisas. Neste panorama, ele resgata a dimensão pessoal da vida cristã, ao mesmo tempo em que proporciona uma unidade antropológica. Pois fala de um estar atento aos movimentos interiores (moções) de consolação e desolação, fazendo disso critério de discernimento. Mais, o discernimento inaciano restaura a liberdade e a responsabilidade na vida cristã, ao admitir que a busca e o encontro da vontade de Deus na vida de cada um cabe à pessoa. Esse traço do discernimento inaciano desemboca numa abertura mais confiante à ação do Espírito Santo e numa vida com mais sentido. / [en] Discernment is an intrinsic dimension of the Christian life. In contact with biblical texts, we can attest it from the prophets through Jesus, Paul and John. Discernment inserts us into a life of dynamic faith, constantly challenged by the action of the Holy Spirit. These challenges should lead us to concrete actions in which the human being invests his freedom into the salvific plan of God. In this thesis, we propose a comprehension of this reality from the perspective of Ignatius of Loyola, which represents the way how he sought to capture and interpret the will of God, and how this provides better quality in the following of Jesus Christ. The mark of Ignatius spirituality is discernment, which is based on his strong experience of God. Ignatius emphasizes that God is heard and understood from the human conditioning of each epoch, from the most everyday experiences; God can be sought and found in all things. Ignatius rescues the personal dimension of Christian life while providing an anthropological unit since he speaks about being aware of the inner movements (motions) of consolation and desolation, making of these the criterion of discernment. Further, ignatian discernment restores freedom and responsibility in the Christian life, since he admits that the search and the meeting of the will of God is up to each person. This feature of the discernment ends in an opening confident to the Holy Spirit and in a more meaningful life.

From the start, it narrates Jorge Mario Bergoglio’s spiritual and intellectual backgrounds, which were firstly incorporated from his own family and further developed when he joined in the Society of Jesus. His trajectory as a clergyman highlights his struggles with his fellow brothers in his religious congregation, where he experienced both setbacks and advancements, especially, when we consider the Latin America historical context at the time, during which Argentina, where he was born and raised, was under a military dictatorship. Nevertheless, in spite of all the political tensions, his decisions always go in the direction of pastoral work and spiritual discernment. Following that, this work highlights the Second Vatican Council major influence over the Church new policies in our contemporary cultural scenario, a context full of challenges which were long felt in the successive Church crisis. This was an important aspect for Pope Benedict XVI resignation, which is also assessed in this work, a resignation that was followed by the conclave ending up in the election of the first Jesuit Pope. The circumstances for his choice and the facts triggered by the new Bishop of Rome, beginning with his decision to be called “Francis” and advancing to the traits of his Petrine ministry, are taken into account, especially in the light of Ignatian spirituality, when references to time, places and people are underlined. Nevertheless, it is a work that introduces Pope Francis inner language in the context of his outspoken life / Este trabalho apresenta o ministério do Papa Francisco sob um enfoque com poucos precedentes, até então: a espiritualidade inaciana. De início, narra a formação espiritual e intelectual de Jorge Mario Bergoglio, obtida a partir de sua própria família e desenvolvimento na Companhia de Jesus. Em sua trajetória, destacam-se as nuances e os reveses da convivência na congregação religiosa, sobretudo, no contexto latino-americano, em decorrência da ditadura militar na Argentina, país de sua origem e crescimento pessoal e eclesial; assim como as tensões para a tomada de decisão, porém sempre baseada no discernimento espiritual e pastoral. A seguir, sinaliza para a influência do Concílio Ecumênico Vaticano II na reorientação da Igreja e na relação com a cultura contemporânea, repleta de desafios, os quais foram sentidos na longa crise da instituição milenar. Este, um aspecto considerado relevante na renúncia do Papa Bento XVI, também abordado na pesquisa, seguido do conclave que culminou na eleição do primeiro Papa jesuíta. As circunstâncias de sua escolha e os fatos desencadeados pelo novo Bispo de Roma, desde a opção por chamar-se “Francisco” às características próprias do seu ministério petrino, são levados em consideração, especialmente à luz da espiritualidade inaciana, quando se assinalam as referências aos tempos, lugares e pessoas. Contudo, trata-se de um trabalho que analisa a linguagem interior do Papa Francisco baseada na exterioridade de sua vida

[pt] Esta tese se propõe refletir sobre a teologia da revelação em face à cultura contemporânea. Para tanto fazemos uma discussão sobre a pós-modernidade e sua proposta de ampliação da racionalidade, no sentido de acolher a ascensão da experiência como forma de percepção da realidade. Lançamos mão de algumas categorias de Gianni Vattimo e Andrés Torres Queiruga como aporte teórico capaz de nos possibilitar uma aproximação à teologia da revelação. Finalmente, estabeleceremos um diálogo entre estes autores e as discussões recentes sobre os lugares hermenêutico-literários de sentido, para então podermos apontar o desafio do que a cultura pós-moderna põe diante da teologia, a saber, a cooperação no discernimento da fé. Esse Último passo conduzirá a um deslocamento teórico-prático onde a teologia pode ser conduzida da condição de tuteladora doutrinária, a outra condição, de fonte de discernimento para as múltiplas vivências da fé cristã. / [en] The purpose of the present thesis is the reflection on the challenges that Contemporary culture brings to Theology of Revelation. To do so, we open the discussion with post-modernity and its purpose to enlarge rationality, in the sense of introducing experience as a valuable way of perceiving reality. We use Gianni Vattimo s and Andres Torres Queiruga s cathegories as Theoretic approaches in order to introduce the dialogue with Theology of Revelation. Then, we establish a dialogue between these authors and the recent discussions on hermeneutic-literary places of meaning, in order to point out the challenge with which post modern culture faces Theology, i/e, the cooperation in the discernment of faith. This last step will take us to a practical-theoretical dislocation where Theology may change its condition of doctrinal tuthorship to another condition of discernment as a source of multiples experiences of christian faith.
