Jämförelse mellan beräknad och verklig energiförbrukning på Östra Lugnet / Comparision between the estmated and the actual energy consumption on Östra Lugnet

Edvardsson, Ida, Martinsson, Ida January 2016 (has links)

ENERGIANVÄNDNING : Beräknad kontra verklig energiförbrukning i enfamiljshus / ENERGY USE : Calculated versus actual energy use in single family homes

Huss, Linda, Berggren, Angelica January 2015 (has links)

Mårtensson, Daniel January 2016 (has links)
The master’s dissertation has been made as an examination of the course Energy engineer atUniversity of Halmstad. Focus of the course is on renewable energy and the essay is aboutenergy audit, if it’s possible to complete in different industries. The work started with gathering of information about laws and support. After that, threecompanies got chosen to be interviewed about depth study on what measures the companyhave made on their energy audit.Besides these three companies there have also been made a survey within the master’sdissertation. The survey has been sent out to 100 companies which 45 have answered on it.The survey contains various questions about energy audit and contribution. The master’sdissertation also contains a theoretical part which gives a picture of what kind of differentmeasures can be made to give examples. On the three companies which the master’s dissertation have been made, a depth study aboutthe companies showed that the companies have completed different measures, dependent onwhat kind of operation the companies is engaged in. Since the companies is in differentindustries the energy audit shows that it can be made in different operations. The companieshave all made energy savings through measures such as, controlling of ventilation, replacement of the lightning and other non-technical measures. Two of the companies haveenergy utilization which correspond 100 MWh on each company over various amount years. On the third companies there have also been made energy utilization but they have alsoexpanded their operation so it’s hard to see how much energy utilization which have beendone. The survey has been executed to research why companies have or haven’t made anenergy audit. The survey has issues about if companies will perform an energy audit if theyget information about the subject. One question explores which measures are the mostcommon and popular to be made on an energy audit. The survey shows that the information isinadequate when it comes to sources of information, but it can be improve by evolving theinformation sources that are least used. Survey have also issues about why companies haven’tcompleted an energy audit, which have given the answers that it is because of it’s not thecompanies highest priority, lack of time and the information is inadequate about energy audit. The most popular measures which have been made according to the survey is lightning, ventilation, heating system and heat recovery. Reason for lightning became the most popularis because it is the cheapest measures. The master’s dissertation also compared the results from the three companies interviewedwith the survey and have come to the conclusion that both have the same measure as the mostpopular.Key words: Energy audit, energy usage, energy utilization / Examensarbetet har utförts som en del i utbildningen Energiingenjör-förnybar energi påHögskolan i Halmstad.

Gustavsson, Isak January 2015 (has links)
Umeå Energi is a company that will be needed to map the use of energy in their facilities. This thesis is an indication of how this mapping will be like and what the result of the tunnel will show. Together with Umeva, Umeå Energi has a 3,5 kilometres long tunnel where the district heating and district cooling pipes goes. There are also pipes for sewer and drinking water. More thoroughly the thesis shows the energy use of the tunnel and also problem solving for better energy efficient considering ventilation. The quality of air in the tunnel is also analysed where the relative humidity of air is the most studied. The aims of the work are that Umeå Energi can reduce their electrical energy use and that they will get a better knowledge about the air quality in the tunnel. Measurements that where done was for some of the electric devices in the tunnel and there were also previously measurements done for the relative humidity of air, temperature and radon. The payments that has been for the tunnel under 2014 comes from an electrical energy use at 180000 kWh. An investigation about the electricity to the tunnel is done in the thesis and the conclusion is that the real electrical energy use of the tunnel should be 200000 kWh for 2014. The total energy use of the tunnel for 2014 is 460000 kWh, where heating and electricity are included. The analysis of the humidity problem results in that the inlet temperature of air is too high in relation to the air temperature of the tunnel and also that there is an inflow of small water amounts on several parts of the tunnel. Through these factors the relative humidity of air gets more worse and gets as high as 83-84 % in the tunnel. It also comes forward that one of the fans may bring polluted air to the tunnel. If the old fans are replaced by new EC-fans the electrical energy use will reduce. If all the fans would be replaced it gives a positive annuity of 10100 SEK/year but if the fan at Uminova not is replaced it gives a positive annuity of 11200 SEK/year. The payback time of the later choice is approximately 4 years.

Sandström, Åke January 2016 (has links)
The production cost and life cycle cost have been analyzed in this work considering two different building standards for the same building. The standards are Miljöbyggnad silver and Boverket's regulations for buildings. The costs have been compared between the two different standards. The studied object is a nursing home in Åkersberg which is a district in Enköping. The home is divided into 57 apartments and spaces like the kitchen, dinery, lounge, toilets and area for the staff that you find in a nursing home. The total floorarea is 4634 m2 and the building has 3 storeys. The framework consists of wood and concrete. An energy calculation was performed using the building energy simulation program VIP-energy by a consultant. This calculation was used in this report. Due to removal of photovoltaic cells and less effective outer building components, the energy consumption was then increased. In the calculation program Bidcon a quantity calculation was made according to the original building. Due to the changes in VIP-energy with the removal of photovoltaic cells and a less effective outer building component the quantity calculation was modified. The calculations show that the production cost was about 1.6 million SEK higher for the buildingstandard of Miljöbyggnad silver, than for the buildingstandard of Boverket’s regulations. The life cycle cost calculated with economic life span of 30 years for the outer building component shows that it was about 200 000 SEK more expensive when built according to the building standard BBR19, than when built according to Miljöbyggnad silver.

Energikartläggning av ett mjukpappersbruk : Värmeåtervinning som alternativ till ånga för uppvärmning av lokaler / Energy audit of a tissue mill : Heat recovery as an alternative to steam for heatin of buildings

Eriksson, Viktor January 2016 (has links)
The pulp and paper industry in Sweden accounted for 51% of the Swedish industrial sector's total energy consumption in 2015. This makes it particularly important for the Swedish pulp and paper industries to document their energy on a regular basis to identify where and how energy is used, a so-called energy audit. This allows for the weaknesses in the system to be identified and measures to fix them can then be developed. This study was performed on Katrinefors mill, which is located in Mariestad and is one of three tissue mill that the group Metsä Group has in Sweden. Katrinefors mill uses both recycled fiber and virgin wood fibers to produce tissue paper in the form of toilet paper and paper towels among others. An energy audit on Katrinefors mill was performed where the mill's total energy consumption in 2015 was identified by analyzing Excel documents used by the mill to document their energy usage. The heat recovery system for the wet air from one of the paper machines Yankee hoods was also studied to see if additional energy could be extracted from one of the heat exchangers for use in the heating system. The mass flow of air and water through the Yankee hood was calculated using mass balances. The energy content in the air at different positions in the heat recovery system was established using energy- and mass balance calculations together with dry- and wet bulb temperature measurements. Calculations were performed for the amount of water that would be required to humidify the air to a saturated state. It was assumed that if the air were to be saturated that the heat transfer in the heat exchanger would increase due to a higher rate of condensation. The energy audit showed that the paper machines and deinking plant was the mill's largest energy users. It also showed that the improvements made at the mill since 2010 have led to a steadily declining energy usage per ton of paper produced per year. The results of the calculations regarding the heat recovery shows that the energy content of the air would suffice to cover the heating of all buildings that otherwise would rely on steam. The results show, however, that the heat exchanger studied probably is not big enough and that it would need to be supplemented or replaced by a new heat exchanger. The actions developed in this study could still be possible to implement without supplementing or replacing the existing heat exchanger. This requires a further study investigating the heating requirements for the each building individually to see if a portion of the total heating could be covered by the measures presented in this study.

Köpa fryst eller färskt livsmedel : En studie om hur svinn i konsumentled påverkar energi- och klimatanalysen / Purchase frozen or fresh food : A study about how waste in consumer category may affect the analysis of energy and climate

Hasso, Ahmed January 2016 (has links)
Food is expected to be one of the biggest causes of energy use for households, leading to large amounts of greenhouse gas emission that impact the climate. Food is the energy resource that one needs for his/her continuous energy intake, where a Swedish consumes 0.35 tons annually. A third of the food which is produced is discarded as waste, of which 60% may be reduced. Food waste occurs because of poor planning when purchasing and cooking food, where larger amount or wrong type of food is purchased. If it is not possible to reduce the amount of the discarded food, the remains should be handled in such a way that the impact on the climate and the energy consumption is minimized. A disposal method that can reduce food waste may be to purchase frozen food instead of fresh to be stored in the freezer, which gives the advantage of extending the lifetime of it.  This disposal method requires a lot of energy, and thereby the greenhouse gases occurs. Frozen foods need to be thawed before cooking which may increase energy consumption. If frozen foods are rejected, it could mean a larger amount of food waste, which could be used to produce biogas. This fuel can be used as gas for vehicles and can replace fossil fuels, which to some extent can reduce climate impact of the large waste of resources. It can also happen that food ends up in landfills and the energy that could have been recovered is wasted. Frozen foods need to be thawed before cooking. This report examines the differences in energy consumption and climate impact for some fresh and frozen foods depending on the different approaches and assumed amounts of waste. The survey is carried out for a number of products that are available in the market as fresh and frozen products, and where data on climate impact of products are available in the literature. For the study, pork, beef, chicken, potatoes /chips, raspberries, peas and bread were studied. The energy used for producing frozen food from the cultivation/production even thawing without wastage is set against the energy used to produce fresh food. The same calculation is performed to calculate the greenhouse gas emissions. The parameters such as COP value of the fridge, storage time in the freezer, the digestion of the discarded food quantity and the choice of electricity generation will be investigated to see the effect of these parameters on the result. The results show that it is rarely feasible, from an energy and climate point to view, to purchase frozen products although the wastage is assumed to be zero. One of the factors that matters is the energy consumption and climate impact for cultivation/production and processing of food. Freezing means relatively large inputs of energy added in the processing and during transport. This added amount of energy equivalent to relatively large amounts of wastage of the fresh food product.  This effect is reduced with large margins if the discarded food quantity is disposed. If the food producers use electricity produced in Sweden, the climate impact and the corresponding amount of fresh food that can be disposed will be reduced slightly.

Översyn av uppvärmning

Revelj, Jonas, Svensson, Patrik January 2008 (has links)
<p>The heating of companies premises is today functional with electrical heating and heating of</p><p>fossil fuel. The energy cost for these kinds of heating in buildings has heavily increased during</p><p>the last years and the influence on the environment has become more visual. This leads to that</p><p>enterprises today become more anxious to render energy more effective and find alternative</p><p>solutions to their ancient heating systems. This is something that Skandinaviska kraftprodukter</p><p>AB in Halmstad has become aware of.</p><p>The purpose with this examination is to find the most cost-efficient and environmental measures</p><p>for the office and workshop premises of SKP AB. Where one of the bigger things is to find a</p><p>good alternative for their current oil furnace, which was heating the workshop. Another big thing</p><p>was to take forward suggestions for measures of rendering energy more effective for the</p><p>buildings. By taking contact with people in the business and by inspecting the premises and the</p><p>heating system, we got an idea about the measures that could be of current interest. We analysed</p><p>these measures to see if they could last financially and environmentally. At the financial analysis</p><p>we used LCC-method which means that you calculate the cost of the investment during its life.</p><p>With the heating system this means, among other things, running, maintenance and initial costs.</p><p>To examine the affect on the environment from the different heating alternatives we chose to</p><p>make a easier LCA, which we based on the local conditions.</p><p>In an existing building it is the simple measures of rendering energy that dominates financially,</p><p>the bigger investments don’t create financial expectations high enough with the energy prices of</p><p>today. In the workshop it was foremost a number of industrial gates that led to great heating</p><p>losses, which would best be taken care off by PVC-stripes curtain or automatic shutoff of the</p><p>heating system when the gates are open. Another alternative would be to invest in aircurtain. This</p><p>would reduce the heating losses a lot, but because of the large investment cost is this not an</p><p>option. The most cost-efficient measure is to increase the awareness of the employees, about how</p><p>their behaviour is affecting the use of energy and to make sure that heat and ventilation doesn’t</p><p>run unnecessarily.</p><p>While going through possible heating alternatives for the workshop, three alternatives seemed the</p><p>most interesting, air-to-air heat pump district heating and pellets. When it came to the financial</p><p>aspects where there no great difference between the three alternatives, when you looked at a</p><p>calculation period over 30 years. Environmentally heat pump was the best choice because the</p><p>electricity of HEM is water produced. The district heating had the highest affect on the</p><p>environment because it partially comes from waste burning, which leads to large emissions. From</p><p>comfort and maintenance point of view we think that the district heating is the best alternative for</p><p>the enterprise, foremost because you don’t have to maintain the system and it can heat the</p><p>premises even during the coldest days. The downside with pellets is that it brings a curtain</p><p>amount of maintenance and that pellets storage takes a lot of place. The downside of heat pump is</p><p>that it doesn’t have enough effect to cope with the coldest days.</p><p>Our recommendation of heating system is district heating. It is true it has the biggest influence on</p><p>the environment but because it can handle the need for heat during all parts of the year and that it</p><p>is free of maintenance ways up for its influence on the environment.</p>
