Frisörlärares uppfattningar om digitala verktyg i undervisningen : En fenomenografisk studie / Hairdresser teachers' perceptions of digital tools in teaching : A phenomenographic studyPettersson, Natalie January 2019 (has links)
In this study, teachers’ perceptions of digital tools in teaching of the hairdressing program are examined. The theoretical starting point for the essay is how the role of digitizing can be seen from a socio-cultural perspective. The collection of data has been made through interviews with a qualitative phenomonographic approach, and five hairdressing teachers in ages 28-57 in the hairdressing program have been interviewed. The result of this study emphasizes that teachers’ knowledge of digital tools’ functions are varied. The examination also point to a relation between teachers’ interest and actual use of digital tools when teaching. In the interviews, the teachers share different views concerning the role of digitizing when it comes to learning. Some see digital tools as a natural element in teaching as our society is becoming more and more digitizing. However, the perception is also that digital tools might pose a threat to the social profession that the students should be trained for.

A customized headrest for shampoo units : A study to improve the neck position during hair wash at the salon, for a more comfortable and safer experience / Ett anpassat nackstöd till schamponeringsstolarGerrbo, Olivia January 2018 (has links)
A bachelor thesis conducted over the spring term of 2018, the final exam of the Innovation and Design Engineering program at Karlstad University. The contractor of this thesis project was Parfum Lombard AB in Svedala, Sweden, a market leading within the hairdressing equipment industry in Sweden. They provide a high level of innovation and product development to improve its assortment. The project of this thesis will focus on the frequent used shampoo units at the hair salons in particular. The shampoo units will be analyzed from an ergonomic point of view, because the current sitting position can cause discomfort and pain for customers with neck problems. Today, neck and back pain are amongst the most common chronic pains issues, which requires further development of this type of equipment in order to make it more suited for the end-user. The chosen target group for the project are people with neck-related disabilities as the starting point for formulating the design problem and developing the solution. The main objective of the project is to develop a concept that offers the customer a more ergonomic position, while washing the hair at the salon. By following a user-centered product development process, the problem will be addressed in the following parts: Pre-study, product specification, idea generation, concept development and finally construction in the layout design phase. The product specification forms a key part, which as a dynamic document links together both customers, clients and professionals perspective of the issue, and underlines the final concept selection. Key findings: To improve the current washing position the sharp angle between the upper body and the head needs to be reduced. That could be solved in two ways; The backboard of the upper body leans back even further to accomplish a more recumbent position or by an additional support to the neck in order to gain a more up-right position. The last mentioned, which also represent the final concept ensures that not only the neck is supported but also the head. This means that the heavy load that the head’s own weight previously caused has now been drastically reduced. The presented concept in the report differs from the similar existing product by its support surface. It provides a wider support area to the customer’s neck and head. With a slim design that only depends on a few centimeters of the basin´s geometry, the chances of matching as many models of shampoo units as possible increases. The developed concept are presented in both CAD- and mock-up models.

I skuggan av ett yrke : om gymnasieelevers identitetsskapande på hantverksprogrammet frisör / In the shadow of a vocation : identitycreation within the vocational education and training for hairdressersKlope, Eva January 2015 (has links)
This study attempts to understand the creation of identities, especially focusing on vocational identities within the vocational education and training (VET) for hairdressers. To be trained for a vocation like hairdressing means that more has to be learnt other than to do nice haircuts or other treatments. The handicraft is one part of the vocational knowing of hairdressing, but to be a hairdresser is about something more besides handicraft. Identity in this study is understood from a sociological perspective influenced by Richard Jenkins’ (2004, 2008) theoretical model of social identities. This is used together with the Bourdieu-inspired concept of vocational habitus (Colley, James, Tedder, & Diment, 2003). The method is inspired by ethnographic research and the empirical material consists of interviews and observations. Based on this material personal portraits have been created of four students. The intention is to focus on the students’ perspective about the everyday activities in school and their experiences of being trained for a vocation in school. The analyse shows that students are trained to develop a vocational habitus, to look, move, talk and feel like a hairdresser is expected to. The students encounter these expectations differently, depending on their identities as hairdressers, students or identities established in other contexts. A main finding of the study is that student identities and vocational identities sometimes are in conflict with each other. The contribution of the study is an increased understanding of identity creation in vocational education. It also contributes to a better knowledge of young people in vocational education and their relationship with their vocational education and upcoming vocation.

Gesällbrevet hänger på håret : Sex gymnasieelevers uppfattningar om gesällbrevet på frisörprogrammet / The apprentice letter : Six upper secondary students understanding of the apprentice letter in the hairdresser programAbrahamsson, Agneta January 2009 (has links)
The purpose with this lucubration is to investigate hairstylist student’s apprehension about the apprentice diploma. The apprentice diploma is an occupation verification indicating on the hairstylist’s knowledge and competence, and it is the only verification in the business that you can use in order to measure the students knowledge. Three students out of thirty, in year 2009, chose to graduate with an apprentice diploma. Based on these figures I am to investigate six graduating students opinion using qualitative interviews. Another quest is to inform and gain interest about the apprentice diploma. The result demonstrate what earlier research already shows, amongst other things, that the students no longer have the practical knowledge needed in order to come to a worksite and therefore find it difficult to work as an apprentice. The business expects the students to be self-driven and dissatisfaction from the school and the business increases. Is the occupation as a hairstylist about to loose its profession or are you allowed to call yourself a professional without a proper diploma?

Skapandet av en grafisk profil till frisörföretag / The creation of a graphic identity for a hairdresserAndersson, Sanna January 2019 (has links)
I analysen undersöktes 11 stycken frisersalonger. / This survey was carried out together with Marie Gustavsson, owner of Studio M. The aim was to create a graphic profile, which should help the company to convey the following words and values:Peaceful Personal Sensitive Quality Familiar Pride Everyone´s equal valueTo get to know how logos at hairdressers look today, a visual content analysis was carried out. The analysis examined 11 hairdressing salons. This was to see how logos can differ. This showed that the company logos had some specific design elements that came back in most logos, such as corporate branding, font and color. Based on the results of the analysis, I created the logo. The typical design elements in the logos were in mind when creating the design. The literature study revealed what a graphic profile should contain. The literature study, the content analysis and the company values that should be reflected in the graphic profile were in mind when creating the graphic profile.Three options on logos, three options on colors and two options on typefaces were tested against the target group in a questionnaire survey, in order to arrive at which design elements attracted the target group the most. The winning logo, color and font were then applied to the graphic profile. The result was a graphic profile containing the logo, company brand, colors, templates and rules, which, when properly used during the creation of the visual identity, will attract Studio M's target audience.

: En kvalitativ intervjustudie om frisörens betydelse för äldre kvinnors upplevelser av socialt stöd och välbefinnande / “It means a lot to be able to go, even though you kind of don't talk hair.” : A qualitative interview study on the importance of a hairdresser for older women's experiences of social support and well-beingLundh, Erika January 2023 (has links)
Swedish reports have long pointed out the negative effect that the lack of social support has on human well-being. As age progresses, it is explained that social relationships and thus sources of social support become fewer, the worst affected in our Swedish society are women over the age of 75. At the same time, older women are the most frequent and loyal customers of hairdressers. Through her professional role, the hairdresser has the potential to be an informal source of social support for these women. Despite the great potential of hairdressers to contribute with social support, research on the subject from the perspective of older women is largely non-existent. In this qualitative study with a social psychological approach, the aim has been to investigate and contribute with increased understanding of the importance of a hairdresser for older women's experiences of social support and well-being. The study was based on qualitative methods and collection of data was made through nine individual semi-structured interviews with women over the age of seventy-five in Western Sweden. The results showed that older women experienced both practical and social forms of social support through their hairdresser. The hairdresser also made a positive contribution to the well-being of older women because of the hairdressing relationship had the potential to contribute satisfaction from two aspects, socially and individually. Similarly, the lack of these needs as well as the various forms of social support had a negative impact on older women. The result showed that it was the social construction of the hairdresser that contributes to the unique social relationship between the customer and the hairdresser, which was more important for older women's experience of social support and well-being than the hairdresser's professional role as such.
