Ser quem se é: a experiência de uma existência autêntica em Heidegger, Hesse e Clarice / To be who you are: the experience of an authentic existence in Heidegger, Hesse and Clarice

Roy David Frankel 27 January 2015 (has links)
Como principal questão que liga as obras estudadas, pode-se perceber que em todas elas está presente o ser quem se é, modo no qual ocorre uma abertura própria do ser que nós mesmos somos / Trying to understand what would be and the possibility itself of an authentic existence, this work tries to present different constructions of such an experience, chosen mainly by their thematic closeness and proximity in the writing context. In the field of philosophy, it will be presented the construction made by Martin Heidegger in Being and Time, while in the field of literature it will be analyzed traces of the constructions presented in two works of Hermann Hesse The Steppenwolf and Siddhartha and in two works of Clarice Lispector An Apprenticeship or the Book of Delights and Passion According to G.H. It is divided into three main parts. The first one includes the construction of the experience of an authentic existence in Being and Time. Then, it will be analyzed the four chosen novels using as reference, but not limited to, Heideggers concepts. Lastly, it will be shown a compared analysis, when it will be opposed the ways in which each novel presents such experience, and then some possible developments will be shown. As a main question that connects all the studied works, it can be noticed that in all of them it is central the be who you are, mode in which it occurs an authentic opening of the being which ourselves are

_________________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This theoretical-clinical reflexion discuss the contributions of Winnicott’s theory and the Rorschach Method of investigation in the theme of violence and people who commit violence. Starting from the conception of violence as a social construct phenomenon, the attempt of pathologize this phenomenon and assigning it to specific subjects is observed. Lokking for complexifying the analysis of social, historical, economic and politic contexts where the pathologization of violence is done, was included a psychoanalytic theory where is possible be based to reflect about the most personal side of violence. Winnicott contributes with their psychoanalytic proposals for the emotional development and for the antisocial tendency. In forensic work, Psychology, Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis are called to complement juridical decisions about these subjects adjudged antisocial. In this situation, psychological assessments are a privileged ways to reach the subjectivity. The Rorschach Method has been included in this discution as an assessment possibility, which allows an approach to psychological traits without a priori diagnosis and contextualizing the subject within the particularities of his own personal history, particularly through the Coping Deficit Index. The main aim of this work is discuss social and relational features of violence phenomenon, regarding psychic particularities of who commit violence and locating him an environment that change him and is changed by him. Thus, we seek to deepen the concepts and practices in violence theme and rise new possibilities of psychotherapeutic, social and juridical attendance for these people.

Selections from Hermann Ritter’s Viola Alta Repertoire: A 21st Century Rendition of 19th Century Repertoire

January 2018 (has links)
abstract: This research paper provides a revised version of viola alta compositions by Hermann Ritter. These original compositions, written for viola alta, were published between 1878 and 1900. Without further reprint, these works are largely unknown by this generation of violists. Yet, these works are precious examples of viola alta repertoire from the late nineteenth century. The viola alta was designed by Hermann Ritter with an instrumental length between 17 and 19 inches. Another version of this instrument was constructed with five strings, adding a high E-string. Higher pitches could then be played with relative ease in lower positions. Compositions for the viola alta often feature brilliant passages in the treble register and rarely showcase the sonority of the lower strings. Many of Ritter’s scores for the instrument are notated in the alto clef and contain numerous ledger lines. Due to the difficulty of reading the music and handling such a large instrument, the viola alta had a relatively short existence and its repertoire was soon forgotten. Hermann Ritter actively promoted the viola alta during the late nineteenth century. His compositions featured the range of the instrument and captured the emotion and character of the late Romantic era. Ritter contributed a wealth of repertoire for the viola alta to increase its significance and importance. For today’s violist, it represents a body of work from the nineteenth century, and adds to the repertoire many wonderful, short, character pieces. This document consists of a brief discussion of Hermann Ritter’s career and his contributions to the viola alta. Six of Ritter’s viola alta works are presented in order of difficulty with bowings and fingerings, along with a performer’s analysis and performance instructions. To aid ensemble issues, the revised version includes simplified piano parts. It is the author’s hope that this volume increases repertoire options for violists and becomes a valuable pedagogical resource. / Dissertation/Thesis / Doctoral Dissertation Music 2018

___________________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / It is a long ago that the philosophical and literary debate searches for the establishment of an intensive dialogue, involving an innumerable repertory of questions, propositions and transgressions. Although the speeches of Philosophy and Literature walk through differentiated systematic ways both speeches share the desire to provoke our sight towards the real. The purpose of the present paperwork is to investigate, as well as to problematize, the society with regards to an important subject of its daily life but not only of its own: the human values. This paper also aims to find out a philosophical structure of thought, in this case the Epistemology of Romance, that allows someone to make use of Literature, but specifically a romance, to show that it is possible to provoke philosophical thoughts about human existence, taking into consideration the subject disintegration of human values. In that sense, the thought of Immanuel Kant, Friedrich Hegel and Friedrich Nietzsche became the fundaments about human values. Hermann Broch, through his novel The Sleepwalkers, contributes to the investigation of the theme with an esthetical-literary perception. Hans-Georg Gadamer, Michel Maffesoli among others are the basis for a proposal of a reading structure characterised by the sensitive reason and by the possibility to interpret possible epistemological contents withdrawn from The Sleepwalkers. Nevertheless, this paper does not intend to be a finished work but to speculate about what seems to be far plausible, the possibility of making use of a novel in order to look into some fundamental problems of human existence.

Hermann Hesses Das Glasperlenspiel als Esoterik

Henke, Oskar January 2018 (has links)
This essay will attempt to explore esoteric elements and connections in Hermann Hesses' final novel Das Glasperlenspiel and whether the narratives and beliefs held by the fictional realm of Castalia and the protagonist Josef Knecht fit into the tradition of western esotericism as defined by Kocku von Stuckrad and Antoine Faivre respectively. An attempt will also be made to explore why the novel has come to influence modern esoteric movements in what Wouter Hanegraaff defines as "New Age religion".

Remembrance of things past? : Albert Schweitzer, the anxiety of influence, and the 'untidy' Jesus of Markan memory

Thate, Michael James January 2012 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to consider the formation and reception of the historical Jesus genre through a detailed analysis of its “strong poet,” Albert Schweitzer. Though the classification of this thesis is most likely to be designated as Leben Jesu Forschung and the rise of early Christianity, it encompasses several adjacent fields of research: viz., social and literary theories, philosophies of history, biblical studies, critical memory theory, and classical history. Leben Jesu Forschung is therefore a kind of case study for the construction and reception of ideas. Part One suggests, after a sustained engagement with Schweitzer and his constructive project, that his pervading influence is most strongly felt in the underlying assumptions of his method of konsequente Eschatologie. Schweitzer’s concept of konsequente Eschatologie is the singular criterion by which all the material is judged and filtered so as to construct a singular profile of the historical Jesus. It is this desire for a “tidy” Jesus which this thesis attempts to problematize. Part Two attempts a constructive counter proposal by appropriating theories of memory to historical Jesus research and concludes by demonstrating the appropriation of this theory within the Gospel of Mark. I understand the Markan author as evoking Jesus memories and setting them within a narrative framework for the purposes of identity construction and communal direction. As such, we are presented with an “untidy” Jesus of Markan memory.
