Životní styl vysokoškolských studentů / Life style of university students

KŮRA, Tomáš January 2015 (has links)
Lifestyle of people is one of the determinants of health. Is created from complex of factors that have influance on health and sicnesses. Factor of lifestyle is way of living, that includes regime of work and rest, physical activity, nutritions, bad habits, but also education, way of coping with stress and social status. According to the World Health Organization is lifestyle affected by quality of healthy population. Many epidemiological studies have shown that the majority of the population accept the risky and protective factors affecting health only at theoreticl level. Thesis is devided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part was processes by secondary data analysis of literature. In the theoretical part I focused mainly on health determinants (personal wellbeing, enviroment, life style, food, leisure, day mode). In another chapters I dealt with issue of stress, physical activity, risk behaviors and stress from University education. The practical part of thesis I conducted a quantitative method using questionnaire survey on the lifestyle of college students. The questionnaire was anonymous. Data were collected in March and April and questionnaire was sent out via email to students of ZSF JCU. Data and results were processed in graphical form using Microsoft Office excel 2007. The sample consisted of students of Bachelor's and Master's degrees ZSFJCU. Sample were 300 students of 1,2,3,4, and 5year. Part of questioned students did not reply to the questionnaire, ome only partially. 80 % returned questionnaire. The sample consisted of 232 students (211 woman and 21 mans) from diferrent branches of ZSFJCU (see Table 1). In teses the hypotheses were:H1: Students of Health and Social Studies have weaknesses in the way and quality of life. This hypothesis was confirmed based on the result od the questions in the questionnaire. Specifically, the issues relating the food, particularly inadequate consumtion of fruits, vegetables and fish. Furthermore, students have deficiencies in physical activity, which is recommended daily for at least one hour of physical activity. H2: Health and Social Studies students will have knowledge about the impact of bio-psycho-social factors on health. The second hypothesis is based on responses to the question : What are the main health risks caused by inappropriate lifestyles? This question answerd correctly 95 % of students that were asked. H3: Students of Health and Social Studies after completing their studies, participate in programs of health promotion and health education of population. This hypothesis was not confirmed. Only 10 % of students want to work after graduation programs of health promotion and health education of the population. H4: Health and Social Studies creates conditions to support a healthy lifestyle. This hypothesis was verified. Health and Social studies allows you to participate in pysical education in the study. This option uses 54 % of the total number of students that were asked. It also allows food in the canteen on the premises of the faculty. Furthermore, in the study are ZSF JCU lectures dealing with the topic.

Životní styl u pacientů s ischemickou chorobou dolních končetin před a po operaci / Lifestyle of patients with peripheral arterial disease before and after surgery

REZKOVÁ, Helena January 2016 (has links)
Theoretical background: Peripheral arterial disease is a serious disease of Loir limb arteries which originates from atherosclerosis. The theoretical part deals with the lifestyle. There are mentioned basic risk factors of chronic forms. Further described are the pathophysiology changes generated on the basis of atherosclerosis and related causes for the origin of the disease. Subsequently there are explained methods of classification, developed clinical symptoms, diagnosis and therapy. This section also looks at the role of a nurse in the care of patients with peripheral arterial disease. Objectives: The aim of this work was to evaluate how patients with peripheral arterial disease changed their lifestyle after invasive vascular surgery. There were provided the following research questions: How do patients with peripheral arterial disease approach to the prevention of risk factors? What is in patients with peripheral arterial disease the main impuls for the possible change of their lifestyle? What influences surgery patient's attitude to risk factors for peripheral arterial disease? How crucial is a lifestyle change in patients after surgery for peripheral arterial disease? Methods: The theoretical part is processed using expert sources. The empirical part of the theses was processed using qualitative research. The chosen technique for data collection was semi-structured interviews with patients, with prepared open questions. The research was done in several phases - the first interview was conducted at the patient admission department (before surgery), followed by the next phase after three months, and 6 months after surgery. The interviews were recorded on a prepared form, then transcribed into electronic form and analyzed by open coding method. Results: The research showed that surgery can sometimes be triggered by changes in the patient's lifestyle. The first interviews in the preoperative period focused on how respondents felt, what was their lifestyle before surgery for atherosclerotic changes of the lower extremities. One of the questions was focused on patient knowledge about risk factors for the development of PAD and possible prevention. The second phase of interviews took place 3 months after the surgery. It dealt with the question about the respndents´ lifestyle, the respondents in the postoperative period, whether there were any changes. Some positive changes occurred in eating and there were some changes in doing physical activity. The third stage was carried out six months after surgery, again in order to detect changes in lifestyle. Minor changes came in smoking habits, the issue of diet and physical aktivity. Questions were also focused on the psychological level. We found out who helped patients and what was most motivating in implementing changes. In the conclusion/summing up question the patients marked themselves ow they managed to make a change. Conclusion: The number of patients with peripheral arterial disease and other cardiovascular diseases is increasing. The basis is the start to modify risk factors, namely tobacco use, dietary habits, physical activity. The medical staff members participate on changes in patients´ lifestyle by appropriate education. The problem occurs when the patient despite the support of close people can not cope to carry a twist in their life. There should a medical staff member offer a professional help to deal with this important step. Practical use: The aim is to draw attention to the expansion of education about lifestyle changes for patients diagnosed with PAD also in the postoperative period. Patients who are released to home care should receive enough information that would convince them to change their attitude towards their health, and that surgery is only one of the ways to prevent further attacks and complications. Results can improve communication with patients and focus on increasing their awareness and possibly offer assistance.

Medeiros, Tiago Silva January 2011 (has links)
The objective of this research is to describe the marketing actions of the Gatorade’s sports drink company addressed to children and implemented in some elementary schools in the network of private schools of Porto Alegre. Furthermore, the research also aimed to analyze the insertion process of children on Gatorade’s network of consumers. The analyzed materials were media artifacts (text and images) distributed during the visits of the sports drink promotion team and the activities developed by this team with the children in the period of 2007 to 2009. The methodology used is based on theoretical assumptions of the documental analysis proposed by Laurence Bardin and of non-participant observation proposed by Lakatos Eve. This master thesis is structured in five chapters. The first chapter describes studies that have been developed within the theme marketing actions and children. These studies have been found in online databases of national journals of the Physical Education area and in libraries of higher education institutions of Porto Alegre that offer under graduation courses of Business, Marketing or Physical Education. The second chapter presents the theoretical and conceptual mark addressing the theories of Zygmunt Bauman and Jeremy Rifkin about consumer’s society. The third chapter presents the Gatorade educational program in schools, showing the historical process of Gatorade, as well as the execution, implementation and media artifacts distributed during the actions carried out on schools. The fourth chapter shows the proper analyzes and in the fifth, the final considerations are shown. The analysis based on the literature found that the sport product operated in the schools by actions of the called marketing through sports in order to teach children about the relationship between physical activity/hydration and thus attract junior consumers to an isotonic sports drink. This action allows us to say that the Gatorade Company, seeking to expand the universe of consumers beyond the specific public of high-performance athletes, produces a reversal in the addressing ways of their marketing efforts, investing more heavily in the association of the isotonic drink with health care and with motivation of active lifestyles.

Com que roupa eu vou? : estudo etnográfico do processo de consultoria de estilo

Escalona de Dios, Maria Luisa Célia January 2007 (has links)
In this dissertation I intend to describe and analyze practices and representations of a group of women from their garment choices and their clothing spending. It is a ethnographical research run in Porto Alegre to a personal stylist and her clients, where several interviews were taken along a couple of years - besides a participant monitoring in the process of "image consulting" and systematical tracking of "going shopping". I intend to discuss about conceptions from the collected data - like elegance, decency, youth, informality, among others - which lead those women´s choices, almost always told by teachings gotten from the "image consulting". Therefore I plan to notice what those consumption selections (and using) of a specific clothing tell about class identities, gender or age group. I also suggest there´s a change in the social role of the personal stylist professional. That professional - playing long ago on building up well-know people´s appearances (politicians, singers, actors and celebrities in general) - nowadays start providing his/her services to people apparently not exposed to the media, like housekeepers, physicians, librarians and teachers. Hence I assume that the work done by a personal stylist over appearances, beyond clothing, molds a lifestyle that is peculiar to those clients, high-society women from Porto Alegre city, usually tied to the social ascension phenomenon.

Elman, Débora January 2008 (has links)
The profile reportages from the magazine Vogue are this search focus, which wants to define what styles the magazine institutes as being and living models of the contemporaneous subject. The sampling gathered 12 issues, of the period between January and December 2006. There were observed 102 reportages of the subgenus journalistic profile, with the objective of answering what models that the magazine Vogue builds, taking as reference categories (Innovative, Traditional and Vanguard lifestyles) preexisting and exteriors to journalism, linked to the theoretical reference of the survey, to guide the search of the main senses represented on the materials. The work is inserted on the constructionist perspective, which considers the power of journalism in the reality construction. The Analysis of the Speech serves as a methodological support. The life styles found in the magazine are represented by the discursive brands that allow showing them and demonstrating the frequency they are repeated by Vogue. Among the conclusions, points out the fact that the Innovative life style is dominant, present in 44,11% of the corpus, while the Traditional life style represents 37,27% of the total and the Vanguard is present in 18,62%. The analysis proves that, dismissing the Vanguard lifestyle from the transgression that defines it, Vogue realigns this Vanguard lifestyle just as an attitude of recovery of a different aesthetics. What the magazine shows is the idea - and seeks to sell - is the idea that, through the adoptions of orientations guided by journalism in the ways of being subject e showing yourself to others, it is possible to obtain "style", from the exposure and consumption of symbolic goods. This way, what the search concludes is that indeed the Vogue journalism invests on the construction of two lifestyles: the Innovative and the Traditional.

Obezita v českých médiích / Obesity in the Czech media

Kovářů, Jakub January 2016 (has links)
Obesity is one of the most serious problems of the contemporary civilization. Although its causes are multifactorial, some authors blame media for the increase of obesity. However, media can also be seen from another perspective. It can be seen as a tool for activating people towards a healthier lifestyle and thus moderate obesity. This work is based on this second view. On the basis of the health communication are formulated requirements on informing about obesity. I use quantitative content analysis to verify whether Czech media works according to these requirements. I come to the conclusion that the Czech media fulfills the requirements only partially. Although media consider obesity as a problem and gives factually correct information, it blames mostly individuals, which is not in accordance with the recommendations of the health communication. Likewise, it offers mainly individual forms of solutions. Compared with foreign media it focus less on childhood obesity too.

A research about the impact of organizational culture on work efficiency and health lifestyle

Li, Wanwan January 2018 (has links)
It is well known that Nordic countries are among the world’s happiest countries. Because of the high welfare, social equality, more freedom and so on. But there are also many people living outside the Nordic countries, and there is a big question about why people in such a comfortable country would want to work, because the state provides good welfare to the poor even if they do not work. Therefore, the aim of this thesis is to understand what motivates people work in Nordic countries and what affects their work efficiency, how work and life can achieve a balance. Whether a person is willing to work or not depends on his/her attitude and thoughts, which comes not only from the social environment but also from the organizational environment. When people are in a fair and free society, their attitudes about work are more from organization. The organizational environment is influenced by the organizational culture. Therefore, there is no doubt that organizational culture influences employees’ work attitudes. A good organizational culture stimulates employees to work harder, thus improving their work efficiency. A bad organizational culture reduces work efficiency by making people more negative about their work. In real life, people’s lives revolve not only around work, but also other aspects that require investment of energy and time. For example, how to run a good life, how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. This takes into account a person’s role at different times and places. Concentrate on finishing work at work and take care of your family and yourself in life. Therefore, only by harmonizing work and life balance can we improve work efficiency and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, this thesis adopts the case analysis method to investigate an personal assistance organization. Through the investigation of this organization, we learned about employees’ views on organizational culture, the influence of organizational culture on their work efficiency and their choice of both work and life. After that, qualitative analysis was used to further analyze the research results, so as to find out the influence of organizational culture on work efficiency and how to balance work and life, so as to have a healthy lifestyle. In what follows I will review the previous literature and relevant theory, in order to understand the current status of organizational culture and work efficiency and lifestyle. After that I will present the results can conduct interviews to find out the impact of organizational culture on work efficiency and lifestyle.
