Design of DC Light Bulb for the DC House ProjectLiang, Kent Chin 01 June 2012 (has links) (PDF)
This thesis focuses on the design and implementation of an economical and energy efficient DC Light Bulb for the DC House Project. For the DC lighting system, emphasis is on the DC-DC LED driver, dimmer circuit, LED lighting array, and physical packing design. In this paper, a DC Light Bulb is designed, simulated, and tested to operate at a wide input voltage ranging from 24 VDC to 72 VDC, to be fully dimmable using pulse-width modulation technique, and to produce lumination intensities equivalent to a standard 100 W A19 incandescent light bulb at one-tenth the total power consumption. The DC Light Bulb’s physical design also takes advantage of the same physical dimensions of a standard A19 incandescent light bulb using an E26 Edison screw base. Results from computer simulations and hardware tests demonstrated the feasibility of the proposed DC Light Bulb in terms of overall efficiency, line regulation, load regulation, power consumption, total lumens, luminous efficacy, and thermal profile.

Syftet med detta utvecklingsarbete var att utveckla en lärarahandledning som stöd i teknik riktat till pedagoger i förskolan. Den skullle ge barnen en möjlighet till att skapa ett intresse för teknik. Lärarhandledningen riktar sig till pedagoger som arbetar med barn i åldrarna 3-6 och innehåller frågor om tekniken i vardagen som kan ställas av två mjukbjörnar, Nelli och Nalle. Utifrån dessa frågor så framställdes konkreta bygg- och konstruktionsuppdrag till varje enskild fråga. I handledningen så beskrivs det på vilket sätt pedagogerna kan arbeta med frågorna. Handledningen har utvärderats av fyra förskollärare och fick mycket positiv respons. / The aim of this development work was to develop a teacher´s guide to assist in technology aimed at educators in preschool. It would give the kids an opportunity to create an interest in the technology. Teacher´s Guide is aimed at educators that works with children ages 3-6 and includes questions about the technology of every day life that can be aked of two softbears, Nelli and Nalle. From these questions then prepared an constuction and constuction tasks to each individual question. The Guide describes the way in which teahers can work with technology in every day life. The tutorial has been evalueted in four preschool theacher´s and got a very positive respons.

IoT systems usage is rapidly growing, and is involved in many industries causing more potential security flaws to a freshly new field. Even light bulbs, have a new generation called smart light bulbs have taken a step into the IoT world. In this project an affordable and available light bulb has it’s security evaluated by using a well known attacks to test the device security. It was concluded that the studied light bulb was found to be secured by the array of penetration tests carried in this project. However, the methods used for evaluating the device can be applicable to any other IoT for any future security evaluation. / IoT-systemanvändningen växer snabbt och är involverad i många branscher som orsakar fler potentiella säkerhetsbrister i ett nyligen nytt fält. Även glödlampor, har en ny generation som heter textit smarta glödlampor har tagit ett steg in i IoT- världen. I det här dokumentet utvärderas en prisvärd och tillgänglig glödlampa genom att använda en välkänd attack för att testa enhetens säkerhet. Det drogs slutsatsen att den studerade glödlampan befanns vara säkrad genom den mängd penetrationstester som utfördes i detta dokument. Metoderna som används för att utvärdera enheten kan dock tillämpas på vilken annan IoT som helst för framtida säkerhetsutvärdering.

The thesis is divided into several parts. The first part is theoretical and its main focus is the description of public lighting and the theory regarding lighting technology. The second part continues with the research of the current state in Bezděkov village. The thesis further describes the proposal for the village public lighting with the use of HPS and LED technology, where village models are made for both options to show the requested result. The last part of the work deals with cables dimensioning, the selection of the most effective regulations for lighting, and finally the economic assessment of both projects, while both the investment expenses and the public lighting service fees for the next 20 years are included.

This thesis is focused on measuring the quality of lighting in operating rooms. Operating lights are very demanding in terms of quality requirements for each parameter, so it is important to specify exactly these parameters and check them regurarly. To measure the quality of the light source, was used a special kit from Maquet. Measurement procedure was not as accurate as it was for operating lighting need, therefore, this work includes a proposal to improve the measurement of quality lighting in operating theaters. In cooperation with University Hospital Brno Bohunice University Hospital Motol and the company Maquet measured nine operating lights, each light were compared in terms of parameters such as maximum light intensity, light distribution in the surgical field. In each category were selected several lighting, which reached the best results. The various parameters were compared with values declared by the manufacturer.
