Bleifreie Lote: Struktur und Oberflächenspannung von Ag-Cu-Sn Legierungsschmelzen

Gruner, Sascha 22 October 2004 (has links)

Optimization of Production Scheduling in the Dairy Industry / Optimering av produktionsscheman i mejeriindustrin

Alvfors, Oskar, Björelind, Fredrik January 2015 (has links)
This thesis presents a case study of mathematical production scheduling optimization applied on Arla Foods AB’s production of dairy products. The scheduling was performed as a possible remedy for problems caused by overcrowded finished goods warehouse. Based on the scheduling, conclusions were made on whether the existing two-shift production is sufficient or if an additional night shift should be introduced. In parallel, an empirical and theoretical analysis on the perceived effects of night shift work on employees was conducted. For the optimization, mixed integer programming was used to model the production context through a discrete time scheduling lot-sizing model developed in this thesis. The model developed and implemented on Arla Foods AB contributes to the research field through its feature of relatively low complexity enabling scheduling of extensive production systems when applied in industrial contexts where products may be categorized. The thesis concludes that mathematical production scheduling can solve Arla Foods AB’s production problematics and suggests reallocation of the existing shifts for the purpose of reduced costs and acceptable warehouse levels. This reallocation would incur production during inconvenient hours whereas management remedies reducing negative effects of night shift work are identified.

Integrated Multiproduct Batch Production and Truck Shipment Scheduling Under Different Shipping Policies

Sağlam, Ümit, Banerjee, Avijit 01 January 2018 (has links)
The classical economic lot-scheduling problem (ELSP) involves the batch sizing and scheduling of multiple products in a single facility under deterministic conditions over an infinite planning horizon. It is assumed that the products are delivered to customers at continuous rates. In today's supply chains, however, often employing complex delivery networks, the finished goods are usually transported in discrete lots to succeeding stages along the distribution process, in order to take advantage of economies of scale in transportation. In this paper, we formulate mathematical models that attempt to integrate the production lot scheduling problem with outbound shipment decisions. The optimization objective is to minimize the total relevant costs of a manufacturer, which distributes a set of products to multiple retailers. In making the production/distribution decisions, the common cycle approach is employed to solve the ELSP, for simplicity. Two different shipping scenarios, i.e. periodic full truckload (TL) peddling shipments and less than truckload (LTL) direct shipping, are integrated with and linked to the multiproduct batching decisions. We consider these two shipment policies for both coordinated and uncoordinated scenarios. The resulting mixed-integer, non-linear programming models (MINLPs) are solved by the BONMIN solver. Finally, a set of numerical examples illustrate and evaluate the relative efficacies of these policies.

Easy Parking

Galarreta Alemán, Mariafe, Perez Silva, Neri, Sato Noriega , Akemi, Torres Ramírez , Ingrid Fabiola, Torres Lázaro, Rommel Jair 15 July 2020 (has links)
In Lima, the number of cars and trucks has increased, despite this, there is no adequate infrastructure, which generates a parking deficit for the number of people who buy new cars (Gestión, 2018). A report by INEI (2018) states that parking spaces are scarce for the 20% increase in cars from 2014 to 2018. Despite this, parking spaces have not been increased in the same proportion due to the lower amount of free land to operate. Consequently, it has not been possible to cover the parking demand at present (Municipality of Lima, 2017). For this reason, Easy parking was created, an innovative parking system in the historic center of Lima that consists of solving the shortage of parking lots, a rotary and automatic parking system that uses the vertical space of the air to park and not horizontal space. With this technology, Easy Parking will be able to park 10 cars instead of 2 like the traditional parking lots of the competition, being an alternative solution to vehicular congestion and the lack of parking on site. In addition, to make business more efficient and innovative, a mobile application was created to reserve parking spaces available online. After analyzing the market and designing the technical specifications of the service, it is concluded that Easy Parking is a viable and profitable project due to its indicators that confirm its profitability and viability. / Trabajo de investigación

Konec dobrý, všechno dobré: Architektura paliativní péče / All´s Well That Ends Well: Architecture of Palliative Care

Vítková, Kateřina January 2019 (has links)
Can architecture ease the departure of people and their loved ones and remove or at least alleviate the stigmatization and taboo of death? The aim of this work is to design an ideal space for palliative care. The aim is not to design another hospice, or home for the elderly people, which has been designed and built more or less enough (see Analytical section). The task I set out was to accommodate this space on the basis of its broad context, to focus on the right urban location, operational content, relationships with and around, linking, opening, ... but also the very idea of death, leaving parting. The theme of palliative care is very complex and societal, which is reflected in its own design, which represents a new model of palliative care architecture. Palliative Care Center.

Optimization Models for Cost Efficient and Environmentally Friendly Supply Chain Management

Palak, Gokce 14 December 2013 (has links)
This dissertation aims to provide models which will help companies make sustainable logistics management and transportation decisions. These models are extensions of the economic lot sizing model with the availability of multiple replenishment modes. The objective of the models is to minimize total replenishment costs and emissions. The study provides applications of these models on contemporary supply chain problems. Initially, the impact of carbon regulatory mechanisms on the replenishment decisions are analyzed for a biomass supply chain under fixed charge replenishment costs. Then, models are extended to consider multiple-setups replenishment costs for age dependent perishable products. For a cost minimization objective, solution algorithms are proposed to solve cases where one, two or multiple replenishment modes are available. Finally, using a bi-objective model, tradeoffs in costs and emissions are analyzed in a perishable product supply chain.
