This paper analyzes the research on preschool teachers carried out in the Brazilian Midwest between 1999 and 2007. The underlying theoretical methodological framework is a materialistic historical dialectical one (MHD). It was assumed that analyzes based on this theoretical framework could point towards certain transformations for the field of childhood, early childhood education and the formation of teachers for this field. Using the materialistic historical dialectical method, a documentary research and a literature review were drawn up which set out to understand the concrete and contradictory movement of our object in its socio-historic totality. A critical analysis was undertaken of possible contributions for the field of childhood, early childhood education and the formation of teachers in the field offered by research on Midwestern preschool teachers. When the inherent potential of this theoretical framework for clarifying what is real and for proposing a new transforming synthesis was considered, it was found that the research on Midwestern preschool teachers indicated the need to think out proposals for the formation of teachers involved with this educational phase with a view to overcoming the historical reductionism and determinism still included in the understanding of the child, childhood and early childhood education in this region.

From proscription to prescription: marginality and postcolonial identities in Bessie Head's "A Question of Power"

Kalua, Fetson Anderson 11 1900 (has links)
In A Question of Power Bessie Head explores metaphysical forms of knowledge and systems of belief (against a background of what is verifiable and can be called the truth) and finds them necessary but flawed because they are illogical. The experience of madness in Bessie Head's main character, Elizabeth, (which is caused by a deep fear of domination and oppression), provides an opportunity for the character to raise propositions and questions of philosophy related to race, class, heterosexuality, God, to mention but a few, and to come to the conclusion that the 'truth' claims which are implied in and suggested by these notions do not obtain in real life. In other words, there is no stable, transcendental reality. It dawns on Elizabeth (the main character) that certain realms of knowledge which society has determined as objective truth will remain forever unknowable. Thus Elizabeth, the main character in a A Question of Power, identifies and challenges all patriarchal structures and power hierarchies in society, seeing them as the real causes of her suffering. After completing this process of deeonstruction, she is able to integrate herself into society. / English Studies / M. A. (English)

Poesía e historia en el último tercio del siglo XX español : el caso de Javier Egea (1952-1999) / Poésie et histoire dans le dernier tiers du XXe siècle espagnol : le cas de Javier Egea (1952-1999) / Poetry and history in the last third of Spanish 20th century : the case of Javier Egea (1952-1999)

Cánovas Vidal, Ana Belén 06 July 2017 (has links)
The creative impulse resulting from the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) remained very vivid in the generations of poets who wrote in Spain in the 1950s; this is called social poetry, where authors as Blas de Otero, Gabriel Celaya or José Hierro are usually classified. The combative tone of the war years (Alberti, Hernández) then became resigned and only a hint of hope seemed to arise from this radically solidary poetry. A few years later, for a new poetic generation (Jaime Gil de Biedma, José Agustín Goytisolo, among others), it is no longer a question of writing a poem of circumstances, but of giving voice to their personal anxieties, even if those anxieties are closely linked to the collective future of their country. Usually it is considered that this type of committed poetry ended with the advent, in the 70s, of the Novísimos, a group of poets were seeking, on the contrary, to make a poetry at the antipodes of the mournful Spanish reality. These poets needed to actualize an outdated lyrical horizon and to give poetry a playful dimension absent from Spanish poetry since the avant-gardes of the years 20-30. Nevertheless, this highly criticized position was also a subversive reaction. For these young poets it was necessary to resolutely go forward and not let the Spanish poetry, which had known such brilliant hours, also plunge into the underworld of a dictatorial regime. This paradigm shift will in turn be seen in some way interrupted in the 80s by the poetic group La otra sentimentalidad, which returns to poetry closely linked to history. This period coincided with the arrival of the Socialists in power in 1982 and the movida, a social and cultural movement life which dynamited the Spanish manners. It will now be a question of conceiving literature as an ideological discourse and assuming its radical historicity. Javier Egea, founding member of the Grenada group and central figure of this work, strives not only to integrate the materialistic reflections in his work, especially in his capital collections (Troppo mare, 1984, Paseo de los Tristes, of 1982, and Raro de luna, of 1990), but also a poetry directly related to the historical events, especially in his dispersed or unpublished poems. This thesis proposes a reflection on this work and on the links between poetry and history in the last third of the Spanish twentieth century.

Cederberg, Tove, Larsson, Klara January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to show the discourses that we can see in the texts from RFSU (2015) and “Rädda Barnen” (2013) about children's sexuality, we connect this empiricism to the preschool curriculum. Furthermore, we highlight the gaps that we can see are the different discourses in the texts and how present or absent physical factuality is. We also want to examine what it could mean for our didactic work with body factuality. Generally, there are a lot of texts about the importance of playfulness and many expressions that leave room for interpretation to the reader. We believe that concepts like playful, positive, equality, security, develop a responsible sexuality, private body parts, intimately, and so forth leaves subjective to interpretation of each individual preschool teacher. Children are described exploring their sexuality through play, were the body are in focus, but are often described limited as children's sexuality. Children's bodily feelings and sexuality described indistinct and confused resulting in that the body is made invisible. The discourses make themselves prominent in our discourse analysis is sexuality discourse, disquieting and fear discourse, discourse of norms, materialistic corporal discourse and the invisible discourse.

Umsetzung von EU-Umweltschutz in der deutschen Land- und Forstwirtschaft / Die Rolle von Politiksektoren und Politikintegration / Implementation of EU environmental policies in the German agriculture and forestry sectors / The role of policy sectors and policy integration

Kaufer, Ricardo 24 July 2015 (has links)

Kvalita života a materialistická hodnotová orientace / Quality of Life and Materialistic Value Orientation

Rendlová, Markéta January 2014 (has links)
Empirical evidence consistently shows that an emphasis on materialistic values negatively correlates with quality of life, both at an individual and societal level. The purpose of this thesis is to contribute to a better understanding of this interrelationship. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part presents concepts both of quality of life and materialism as well as contemporary approaches to their research and measurement. Special attention is paid to the concept of eudaimonic well-being as a core concept of optimal human functioning, and to the concept of post-materialism as a value orientation that emphasizes self-expression and quality of life. The thesis is based on two propositions referring to the relation between quality of life and materialistic value orientation. On the one hand, materialism facilitates an economic development and market economy of a given society. At a certain level of economic development there is a tendency to shift to post-materialistic values associated with autonomy, self-realization and personal growth. This value shift is not effortless, as the other proposition claims. The consumer-driven culture produced by the modern economy promotes material values. It claims that the route to happiness and well-being is through...
