Jalůvka, Petr January 2007 (has links)
Email is one of the most used services on the Internet. It's hard to find a user with less than one own mailbox. These mailboxes are usually located on servers controlled by someone else than mailbox owners. Users trying to create their own email serverhave to install unix system and go through hard configuration process of the email server. Purpose of this work is to familiriaze reader with email history and protocols and then introduce design and implementation of an email server with easy configuration for Windows NT platform.

Repetir e sentir: mimo corpóreo, treinamento e subjetividade / Repeat and feel: Mime Corporeal, training and subjectivity

Seixas, Victor Paulo de 19 October 2016 (has links)
This is a practical/theoretical research, starting from the analysis of Corporeal Mime technique, seeking for procedures to be used in scenic creation and training processes for actors and mimes. This study is influenced by the concept of parallelism proposed by the Dutch philosopher Baruch Spinoza, where the mind and body do not have a causal relationship, but a relationship of reciprocity, this principle also comes as poetic element on the practical part of this research. Spinoza against the dualist tradition propose in his philosophical doctrine a substantial union between body and mind. The two here are the same substance manifesting in different ways, and acting together within the parallelism. We bring this statement to the training process: mind (subjectivity) and body (form) working together with no hierarchical relationship. Raising some questions about the practice of the Corporeal Mime training applied for actors, mimes and the scenic creation, by the study the repetition issue on the in body training exercises, we also propose an organization of technical procedures and analysis of the conceptual part. Building a scenic exercise inspired in Spinoza\"s philosophical doctrine, which will be show together with the conclusion. In this way, we are looking here to promote the debate on the legacy of Corporeal Mime teaching, by proposing some possible applications on creative processes and actor/dancing training in the performing arts.

Étienne Decroux (1898-1991) : "portrait du mime en sculpteur" : figures du corps au croisement des arts du spectacle et des arts plastiques / Étienne Decroux (1898-1991) : "the portrait of a mime as a sculptor" : the portrayal of a body at the intersection of scenic and fine art / Étienne Decroux (1898-1991) : "portrét mima jako sochaře" : zobrazení těla na průsečíku scénického a výtvarného umění

Kolářová, Petra 26 September 2015 (has links)
The thesis main subject is Etienne Decroux, the father of corporeal mime. The main objective is to show that Decroux draws on both theatre and sculpture, thus conceiving his art of mime as the mobile statuary. On the one hand, he takes up the concept of mask put forward by Jacques Copeau and Edward Gordon Craig's ubermarionnette, transposing both concepts directly to the body. On the other hand, he embodies the pathos formulas observed in the statues. Decroux was heavily inspired by Auguste Rodin's sculptures in order to represent the body on stage. Moreover, Decroux conceives the body as a series of images which unfold before the audience. Working along with Etienne-Bertrand Weill who photographs his shows, he creates a relevant source of iconography of the mime that unveils the movement of the body in images. Finally, for Decroux, the body is a sculpting material. By identifying himself with the mythical sculptors, he brings forward the creative aspect of his art. Just as Pygmalion, he enlivens the body of his students and, as Prometheus, he transforms the society through his political art. The mobile statuary is then a key concept in the corporeal mime that goes from the conception of the movement on stage to the ideal and the universal in man.

Rekommendationer för införande av public key infrastructure / Recommendations for implementing Public Key Infrastructure

Andersson, Johan January 2002 (has links)
<p>The use of insecure networks -such as the Internet- to send and receive information has made the need for preventing unauthorised people reading it yet more important. One of the easiest way to do this is through public key cryptography. However, the problem with this solution is how to tie a specific public key to a certain subject. This is solved by letting a trusted third party issue a certificate that holds, as a minimum, the name of the subject and the subject's public key along with the issuer's digital signature on the information. The rules we make for issuing, revoking and verifying of certificates and the entities that are being used to do so are called PKI - Public Key Infrastructure. In this thesis we shall se what PKI really is in a more detailed way and which entities it constitutes of. We will also investigate some of the areas in which we could make use of it, for instance secure e-mail and virtual private networks. Next, we will look into some of the drawbacks with PKI and what you should think of in order to aviod these. Finally, we'll give recommendations for the implementation itself. As for the theory of cryptography, the basics is presented to the interested reader in a separate appendix.</p>

Belägrade människor – Belägrade Rum : Om invandrargöranden och förorter / Besieged People – Besieged Spaces : On Immigrant-making and Suburbs

Ericsson, Urban January 2007 (has links)
This thesis analyses the notion of so-called “Invandrartäta förorter” [“Immigrant-dense suburbs”]. The aim of the study has been to analyse the haunting imagery of the Suburb and the Immigrant as portrayed in the Swedish media. The notion of a fantasy-frame is related to the “Invandrartäta förorten” [“Immigrant-dense suburb”] which is, in the main, a fantasy. Nevertheless, the study shows that the imagery is powerful in its racialised and discriminatory practice. In the first part of the study the main focus is on the media narratives of the suburbs. Illustrations of how the idea of the “Invandrartäta förorten” [“Immigrant-dense suburb”] was created and how this place was, and still is, made to perform Otherness, are described. In the latter part of the study, the interwoven relationship between the fantasy-frame of the suburb and the mediated immigrant-made subject is in focus. Here the focus is on studying the attention and space of appearance that the media imposes on the immigrant-made individual when she or he is presented as representing this space. By taking into account the media's editing techniques in press material, ways of interpretation and the recurring themes concerning this space of appearance, the analysis tries to shed light on the conditions of attention for the one who is portrayed in relation to this fantasy space. Such representations mix fear with enticing elements of the exotic. The imagery of the suburban fantasy-frame materialises in the individual portraits and daily life of the people who are depicted in relation to this space. In the final part of the thesis, the notion of mime is used to describe a form of subversive strategy in relation to the imagery that the portrayed is evoked to display.

Heracles' lion skin : actor and costume

The aim of this essay is to explore the relation between actor and costume in the context of theatrical discourse and using as an axis Heracles’ lion skin. The word actor is used to denote the agent of theatrical/mimetic action while the word costume stresses the function and power of a theatrical costume. In the Introduction section the context of the research is being described. The methodological field is that of the recently explored theatrical discourse which derives from metatheatrical studies and is based on critical treatises on theatre. In the first chapter the importance of lion skin as a prominent costume for the articulation of theatrical discourse is being analyzed from different angles. In chapter two the metatheatrical use of Heracles’ lion skin is used as a base for the construction of theatrical discourse about the function of theatre in a dramatic text. In the following section, Heracles’ lion skin is used to describe actor’s relation to his tragic skeue and is also reconstructed anew as a pantomime costume indicative of the dynamics developed between performer and costume. In Libanius’ A Reply to Aristidis On Behalf of Dancers the emphasis on the transformative power of the costume is being discussed (chapter 4). In chapter 5 the emergence of lion skin in the debate around the relation between actor and costume constitutes the epilogue of a long-lasting debate on the dynamics of relation between actor and costume.

Mimésis et Langues des Signes : étude pragmatique de stratégies et dynamiques sémiotiques mimétiques observées dans des interactions spontanées en contextes émergent et international / Mimesis and Sign Languages : pragmatic study of mimetic semiotic strategies and dynamics, as observed in spontaneous interactions in emerging and international contexts

Macé, Fanny 13 October 2017 (has links)
Motivated by the fact that sign linguistics found no consensus concerning the symbolic and systemic properties of pantomimes in sign languages, this PhD study focuses on the epistemological issues at stake concerning the way mimetic faculty and language faculty intertwine. With the iconicity theory as semiological frame, we sought to observe the moving behavior of linguistic iconicity within structures and its semiotic plasticity for adaptive needs. We built consequently a video corpus of spontaneous interactions on the field of linguistic contact in emerging sign language and in internationalized sign language. Our qualitative analysis of our annotation, where linguistic structures were linked with their eventual pragmatic mimetic anchor, shows a great diversity of performative simulations of action and perception and a great diversity of tactile strategies, which all serve mimetic semiosis. Our research also shows interactional semiotic dynamics that deal with mimesis, such as mirror effects and synchronization effects. This PhD study finally offers a rich amount of theoretical and empirical data which deepen the issue of a continuity between doing and saying and which tend to integrate the notion of mimesis within language sciences as an ontological force for cognitive and psychic construction and as a social force for cultural construction, including a entropic side dealing with creativity through poetics, as well as a neguentropic side dealing with conventionalization through imitation.
