O centro da pesquisa são os Contos morais, um ciclo de seis filmes composto por A Padeira do bairro (1963), A Carreira de Suzanne (1963), A Colecionadora (1967), Minha noite com ela (1969), O Joelho de Claire (1970) e Amor à tarde (1972). Esta é a primeira fase de destaque do cineasta e o período de consolidação do seu estilo. É apresentado um panorama histórico da passagem da profissão como crítico na revista Cahiers du Cinéma à realização dos Contos morais. A partir da análise fílmica, atendo-se à narrativa, à encenação e aos modos de produção, são identificadas as linhas de força da poética do cineasta. Constata-se que seu particular modo de produção reflete esteticamente em seus filmes. Rohmer se concentra nas questões morais e nas relações sentimentais dos seus personagens, evidenciando um cinema fortemente objetivado e de transparência. O diretor emprega a construção de uma rigorosa estrutura narrativa ficcional, isso combinado com uma abordagem realista do espaço, da trama e das atuações; finalmente, destaca a valorização da verborragia de seus personagens / Abstract: This paper has as object of research movies of the French director Éric Rohmer, who settled with the French new wave, in the context of the 1950s and 1960s. The center of the research are the Moral tales, a cycle of six movies composed of The Bakery girl of Monceau (1963), Suzanne's Career (1963), The Collector (1967), My Night at Maud¿s (1969), Claire's Knee (1970) and Love in the afternoon (1972). This is the first prominent phase of the filmmaker and the period of consolidation of his style. A historical overview of the transition of his profession as film critic in Cahiers du Cinéma to the directing of the Moral tales is presented. From film analysis, focusing the narrative, the mise en scène and the production methods, the power lines of the poetic of the filmmaker are identified. It is verified that his particular way of producing reflects aesthetically in his films. Rohmer focuses on moral issues and sentimental relations of the characters, showing a strongly objectified and transparent film. The director employs a strict construction of fictional narrative structure, combined with a realistic approach of the space, plot and performances; finally, he highlights the appreciation of verbiage of his characters / Mestrado / Multimeios / Mestre em Multimeios

A pesquisa se inicia com um texto biográfico que cobre as atividades de Jairo Ferreira ligadas ao cinema ao longo de quarenta anos, bem como dados sobre sua vida. Em seguida, um capítulo que analisa seus dois principais períodos como críticos permanente em jornais, levando-se em conta as preocupações e reflexões mais relevantes de cada contexto, durante suas atuações no São Paulo Shimbun (1966 - 1973) e na Folha de S. Paulo (1976 - 1980). Segue-se a análise de cada um dos nove filmes que realizou, sobretudo entre os anos de 1973 e 1980, de maneira totalmente independente, isto é, sem vínculo algum com a indústria e o mercado cinematográficos da época. Por fim, um capítulo que percorre as especificidades de sua obra mais conhecida e aventada, o livro Cinema de Invenção, no qual o autor trata de cineastas brasileiros considerados experimentais, publicado no ano de 1986 / Abstract: The main goal of this dissertation, called Jairo Ferreira's Cinema and Critics, is to study the trajectory of the cinema critic and film-maker Jairo Ferreira (1945 - 2003), author linked to Brazilian experimental cinema. The research begins with a biographical text that covers Jairo's activities concerning cinema throughout 40 years, as well as issues about his life. Following there is a chapter analyzing his two most important periods as a steady critic in the newspapers São Paulo Shimbun (1966 - 1973) and Folha de S. Paulo (1976 - 1980). Next we have the analysis of every one of his nine movies, which were made especially between 1973 and 1980 in an independent way, without any connection with the cinema industry. At last, a chapter that goes through specificities of his most well-known work, the book Cinema de Invenção, in which he talks about Brazilian film-makers taken as experimental, released in 1986 / Mestrado / Multimeios / Mestre em Multimeios

A navegação e recuperação entre recursos de catálogos diferentes através de tecnologias Linked Data e da web semântica pode diminuir a sobrecarga para gestão, interoperabilidade e compartilhamento de dados como forma de cooperação institucional, além disso ser modo diferente de navegação entre acervos de instituições e ambientes informacionais externos, possibilitando novas formas de consulta de dados. O objetivo desta pesquisa é identificar os instrumentos e metodologias de representação descritiva, temática e recuperação de documentos audiovisuais no contexto de bibliotecas, arquivos fímicos e da web semântica. Dessa forma, a metodologia inclui a revisão de literatura da área para estudo do estado da arte e o levantamento de tecnologias da web semântica que visam a criação de padrões de metadados, vocabulários, ontologias e modelos conceituais voltados a anotação e descrição audiovisual, assim como uma parte empírica com estudo de caso do catálogo e do manual de filmes da Biblioteca da ECA. / The navigation and retrieval between different catalog resources through Linked Data and semantic web technologies can reduce the overhead for management, interoperability and data sharing as a form of institutional cooperation, besides being a different way of navigating between collections of institutions and informational environments new ways of querying data. The objective of this research is to identify the instruments and methodologies of descriptive, thematic representation and retrieval of audiovisual documents in the context of libraries, phylogenies and the semantic web. Thus, the methodology includes the review of the literature of the area for the study of the state of the art and the survey of semantic web technologies that aim at the creation of standards of metadata, vocabularies, ontologies and conceptual models aimed at annotation and audiovisual description, as well as an empirical part with a case study of the catalog and the film manual of the ECA Library.

<p>3D television using multiple views rendering is receiving increasing interest. In this technology a number of video sequences are transmitted simultaneously and provides a larger view of the scene or stereoscopic viewing experience. With two views stereoscopic rendition is possible. Nowadays 3D displays are available that are capable of displaying several views simultaneously and the user is able to see different views by moving his head.</p><p>The thesis work aims at implementing a demonstration system with a number of simultaneous views. The system will include two cameras, computers at both the transmitting and receiving end and a multi-view display. Besides setting up the hardware, the main task is to implement software so that the transmission can be done over an IP-network.</p><p>This thesis report includes an overview and experiences of similar published systems, the implementation of real time video, its compression, encoding, and transmission over the internet with the help of socket programming and finally the multi-view display in 3D format.  This report also describes the design considerations more precisely regarding the video coding and network protocols.</p>
