Pérez Gosende, Pablo Alberto 06 September 2022 (has links)
[EN] Facility layout planning (FLP) is one of the most critical decisions in operations management and one of the most discussed problems in the scientific literature framed in the broad field of industrial engineering. However, the widespread use of the traditional top-down solution approach, which starts with a block layout design phase and continues with the detailed layout within each work cell making up the production system, is based on assumptions that are not very compatible with the industrial operational reality, which implies certain limitations for its adoption in practice. This issue, together with the fact that the mathematical models used in the generation of layout alternatives mostly use the cost of material handling as a single objective function of a quantitative nature, distorting the multi-objective nature of the problem, accentuates a gap that generates opportunities for improvement in the FLP decision making process in industrial practice. In this context, this doctoral thesis, supported by a thorough study of state of the art and the analysis of benchmark mathematical optimisation models, presents a conceptual framework for FLP planning decision making from a multi-objective perspective and also a new multi-objective mixed-integer non-linear optimisation model (MOMINLP) to facilitate FLP decision making for metal-mechanical industrial plants in dynamic demand environments through a bottom-up planning approach, taking into account quantitative and qualitative criteria. The proposed model, called bottom-up mDFLP, considers three objective functions that aim to: (1) minimising the total material handling cost and the total rearrangement cost, (2) maximising the subjective closeness rating between departments, (3) maximising the area utilisation ratio. The bottom-up mDFLP model has been validated in a company from the metal-mechanical sector, confirming a better performance in the values of the objective functions than those obtained in the current plant layout. / Pérez Gosende, PA. 台灣閩南語新調群分析 / Tone group parsing of Taiwan Southern Min

Yang, Wen-ting Unknown Date (has links)
The goal of this thesis is to explore the tone sandhi domain, tone group (hereafter, TG), of Taiwan Southern Min of younger generation. A corpus is built and analyzed within the framework of Prosodic Theory, a derived theory from the Phonology-Syntax Interface Theory. In the literature, TG boundary # was marked at the right edge of an XP which is neither an adjunct nor a clitic. However, the TG boundary # of younger generation is marked at the right edges of a maximal XP, an adjunctive XP and an X-head. Moreover, language variation is observed in the TG parsing: the presence of TG boundary # is optional. There are four TG parsings not observed in the literature: (1) V # NP # (2) V # QP # (3) QP # A # (4) AdvP # V #. TG is redefined as a Phonological Phrase which syntactically corresponds to a maximal XP, an adjunct XP, an X-head but not to a clitic XP. The four TG parsings are then analyzed with Rank-Ordering Model of EVAL (ROE), a subtheory within the Optimality Theory domain which particularly addresses language variation. According to ROE, constraints on the right side of critical cut-off line participate in the prediction of variation. Three constraints involving in variation are proposed: Align-R (XP-Fnc, ϕ), ϕ-min and Align-R (X-head, ϕ). Align-R (XP-Fnc, ϕ) distinguishes lexical projection and functional projection, ϕ-min requires a Phonological Phrase to be minimally disyllabic, and Align-R (X-head, ϕ) predicts # to occur at the right edge of an X-head. The analysis centers around the three constraints’ relation with the critical cut-off line. The constraint rankings are: Ident-T-Rϕ | Align-R (XP-Fnc, ϕ) >> ϕ-min >> Align-R (X-head, ϕ) >> *T >> Align-R (XP-Lex, ϕ). Except for the faithfulness constraint Ident-T-Rϕ, the other markedness constraints are arranged at the right side of the cut-off line in order to predict language variation.

Vásquez Donoso, Consuelo 08 1900 (has links)
Suivre cette trajectoire permet ainsi à l’organisation de s’étendre, de se rendre présente dans le temps et dans l’espace, sans pour autant perdre son identité : to be here and there at the same time, now and then at the same place. / To understand the organization’s mode of being is certainly one of the most important challenges faced by researchers who are interested in this field of study. The literature presents several images, metaphors and perspectives which, combined, draw up a hybrid portrait of this type of collective. In this dissertation, I propose to recognize and exploit this hybrid character by starting from a reflection on space. Inspired especially by the work of the geographer Doreen Massey (1999, 2005), the concept of space to which I subscribe is that of an open and dynamic space (which incorporates time), based on a material and heterogeneous relationality, which supposes human and nonhuman actors in interaction. Space can thus be understood as the coexistence of heterogeneous ontologies, what Massey (2005) calls a “coexistence of trajectories as stories-so-far”. It is then a performative vision of organizational space which is constructed through the relation of distinct trajectories that coexist, meet, affect each other, enter in conflict or cooperate (Massey, 1999). I argue that to guarantee a certain form of continuity and coherence in the coexistence of heterogeneous trajectories, a work of alignment and ordering is put at work, and this, by the following-up of a main trajectory — what I call a scripted trajectory. By following this trajectory the organization can then extend itself, making itself present in time and space, without loosing its identity: it can be “here and there at the same time, now and then at the same place.” Starting from this definition of space, I propose to “space the organization,” and more specifically to “space” Explora, a non formal educational program of the Chilean government, which aims to diffuse and promote science and technology. Spacing an organization implies a double proposal: it refers to the spacing practices — hybrid, collective and situated practices — enacted by organizational agents (in this case, Explora’s agents implicated in the organization of a project, that of the Science week 2006), but also to a research practice. “Spacing the organization” consists of deploying these full spaces, unfolding the organization, and increasing the series of simultaneities-successions in order to create more space-time.

K problémům členění na významy v překladovém slovníku / On Sense Division in a Bilingual Dictionary

Hagenhoferová, Lucie January 2014 (has links)
This thesis deals with the dividing the dictionary entry into several "sub-meanings", i.e. with the sense division, and with the closely related ordering of these "sub-meanings", i.e. with the sense ordering, with the bilingual passive German-Czech dictionary in the centre of interest. This thesis deals shortly also with the discriminating the senses by different means, i.e. with the sense discrimination. With these three subjects chronologically following the lexicographic decisions the matter of equivalence and the understanding of the term of meaning are correlated. In the theoretical part of this thesis the specifics of the sense division and the sense ordering in the monolingual and in the bilingual lexicography are introduced, in the practical part of this thesis the possibilities of the sense division and the sense ordering are exemplified with ten chosen substantive lemmas prepared for the Large German-Czech Academic Dictionary in progress. For every lemma the most suitable arrangement of the lemma is suggested, which is then compared with the corresponding dictionary entry in the source dictionary Duden - Deutsches Universalwörterbuch. The differences between the arrangements of the microstructure illustrate the necessity of the revision and eventual modification of the adopted structure...

Μπέλλος, Μάτσιεϊ 25 June 2007 (has links)
The dissertation is focused on VLSI testing while power dissipation is also taken into account. The techniques proposed are: a) test data compression in an embedded test environment, b) test set embedding in a built-in self test environment and c) reduction in test power dissipation in an external testing environment. Test data compression is based on the observation that a test vector can be produced from the previous one by replacing some parts of the previous vector with new parts of the current vector. The compression is even higher when the test vectors are ordered and scan cell reordering is also performed. If the scan cell reordering is based on a transition frequency approach then reduction in power dissipation is also achieved. In the case of built-in self test the problem of test set embedding was studied and efficient circuits based on linear feedback shift registers combined with XOR trees or shift registers combined with OR trees were proposed. If the circuits have a regular structure, such as the structure of residue number system adders, then a circuit taking advantage of the regular form of the test set can be derived. Finally, when external testing is considered, we proposed test vector ordering with vector repetition methods, which reduce power consumption. The methods are based on the selection of the appropriate minimum spanning trees and through the modification of the repeated vectors they achieve considerable savings in energy, average and peak power dissipation.

Exploring the Frustrated Spin-Chain Compound Linarite by NMR and Thermodynamic Investigations

Schäpers, Markus 28 October 2014 (has links) (PDF)
Within the last decades low-dimensional frustrated quantum spin systems have attracted great interest in the field of modern research. In these systems a competition of various magnetic interactions takes place, leading to an energetically degenerated magnetic ground state, and thus to the occurrence of exotic, unconventional physical properties at low temperatures. This thesis focuses on the quasi one-dimensional frustrated spin chain system linarite, PbCuSO4(OH)2. In this compound the basic building blocks are CuO4 plaquettes which are connected to each other along one crystallographic direction, analogue to a chain. The frustration in linarite is established due to the competition between the magnetic interactions. The nearest-neighbor magnetic spins are coupled ferromagnetically along the chain via a coupling constant J1, while the next-nearest neighbors are coupled antiferromagnetically via a coupling constant J2. For this configuration it is not possible to satisfy all magnetic couplings simultaneously, hence the system is magnetically frustrated. In this work, comprehensive thermodynamic and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) studies demonstrate that linarite is one of the richest and most fascinating compounds in the class of low-dimensional frustrated magnets. By means of susceptibility, magnetization, specific heat, magnetocaloric effect, magnetostriction, and thermal-expansion measurements a rich magnetic phase diagram could be mapped out below a temperature of 2.8 K. The phase diagram contains five different magnetic regions/phases for an external magnetic field pointing along the chain direction. Based on the thermodynamic studies it was possible to calculate the exchange integrals within the frustrated J1-J2 model and extensions of it by using various theoretical approaches. The magnetic microscopic nature of the different long-range magnetic phases present in linarite were investigated by NMR measurements and by collaborative neutron scattering experiments. The ground state (phase I) is identified as an incommensurate elliptical helical structure. Via a theoretical modelling the 1H-NMR spectrum of the ground state could be explained, revealing a rearrangement of the zero-field structure in an external magnetic field of 2.0 T used for the NMR studies. By further increasing the external field the system undergoes a complex spin flop transition in two steps (phase I - phase III - phase IV). In phase III a phase separation takes place where one part of the spins form a circular spiral structure while the remaining fraction form a simple antiferromagnetic structure. In phase IV the remaining circular spiral structure vanishes, so that all spins collectively form the antiferromagnetic collinear phase. The most peculiar physical properties studied in this thesis take place in region V at high fields, showing only tiny features in the thermodynamic properties. The magnetic spins in region V form a sine-wave modulated spin-density structure as identified via NMR and neutron investigations. It is discussed whether region V is related to a multipolar phase or if the spin-density wave structure could possibly coexist with such a phase.

The first of these papers assesses the bias occuring in welfare-cost-of-inflation measures due to failing to take into consideration the substitution potential of interest-bearing monies such as bank deposits. The second one tackles the theoretical issue of comparing the generality of the money-in-the-utility-function- and the shopping-time models by studying the properties of the demand curves they generate. The third of these works revisits a classic paper by Stanley Fischer on the correlation between the growth rate of money supply and the rate of capital accumulation on the transition path. Finally, the fourth one concerns the relative standing of each one of six measures of the welfare cost of inflation (one of which is new) with respect to the other five, and an estimate of the maximum relative error one can incur by choosing to employ a particular welfare measure in place of the others.
