Karlsson, Berit January 2007 (has links)
Följande sökord användes: nursing, student, documentation, attitudes to computers, computerized, och medical record. IT i undervisningen ökade dock förtroendet för tekniken. Gamla problem kunde lösas men nya uppstod.

A Thin Flat Antenna Design for Third Generation Mobile Communication Systems

Chen, An-chia 06 June 2004 (has links)
By employing a low-cost loop antenna of simple structure, a novel antenna design to efficiently make use of the system ground plane of a PDA (personal digital assistant) is proposed. Owing to a small distance of 3 mm between the antenna and the ground plane, the propose antenna has a very low profile. By selecting a proper loop¡¦s length-to-width ratio, two resonant modes close to each other can be excited, which lead to an impedance bandwidth of 17%. In addition, because of the same direction of the surface currents on the radiating metal plate, the antenna peak gain reaches about 4.5 dBi, which is attractive for application in PDAs.

The Study for Business of Agents of Real Estate in Metropolitan Area for Using Wireless Network Marketing: As Personal Digital Assistant used with Active Business Application in Kaohsiung City

Chen, Chia-Wen 19 July 2004 (has links)
It is more and more popular to transmit and receive information with Wireless LAN(WLAN) as the time of science and technology has been approaching. Every type of business gradually has priority on WLAN for marketing. Especially business of agents of real estate, they use WLAN as tool for marketing to improve the service with information and human nature and to break through the shape of traditional human operation. They record characters and functions of surrounding environment of the houses which are entrusted by clients in their system to provide immediate and local information with house-buyer. This becomes personalizing and valuable selling information. It takes both quantitative and qualitative methods as research methods in the study, and agents of real estate using and not using WLAN in Kaohsiung City are picked as research objects. The study takes depth interviews to realize conditions for wireless network marketing using, motivation for wireless network marketing, and using mode for wireless network marketing, and it also analyzes the differences among wireless network marketing, traditional marketing, and internet marketing. Meanwhile the study use questionnaires survey to figure out the reason why some agents of real estate do not use WLAN for marketing. There are four findings in the study as follows: (1) Agents of real estate using WLAN for marketing are mainly direct branches and over 15 years old. (2) The traditional way for marketing used by agents of real estate using or not using WLAN for marketing is newspaper. (3) Agents of real estate using WLAN for marketing know the requirements of clients and can improve the quality of service better then agents of real estate not using WLAN for marketing. (4) The rate of agents of real estate not using WLAN for marketing at present would like to use WLAN for marketing in the future become more. The conclusion of the study indicates the marketing mode of using new science technology can inquire new information anytime and anywhere. The mode of marketing with WLAN provides business of agents of real estate with the immediate and local information, and this is the point that mass media can not achieve. There are difficulties for business of agents of real estate in Kaohsiung City to use high science technology as a kind of marketing mode. Kaohsiung City should try to upgrade M capacity step by step and take both traditional marketing and WLAN marketing to enhance the function of WLAN for marketing in business of agents of real estate.

Användarcentrerad utveckling av mobilt IT-stöd / User centered perspective on development of mobile information technology

Lundell, Johan, Sjögren, Gustav January 2006 (has links)
<p>This exam paper has been a collaboration between the writers and SYSteam Utvecklingspartner in Huskvarna. The assignment was about finding a need for a mobile application, making a requirement specification document with design documents and parallel to this constructing a prototype. The assignment is summarized in the following questions:</p><p>• How can companies in the forest industry benefit from mobile information technology?</p><p>• How can a user centered perspective be used in the process of making the requirement specification document and the design documents?</p><p>• How do guidelines for usability apply to a mobile application?</p><p>Three visits to companies in the forest industry were made to find a need for mobile information technology solutions. After a small analysis of the different companies’ problems and conditions the decision was to use Tenhults Impregneringsverk AB in the case study.</p><p>We used the FA/SIM method in our job of finding the organization needs for change and the principles of User Centered Design in the work of constructing a prototype.</p><p>The result of our work is a requirement specification with design documents and a prototype. The final prototype is an application deployed on to a PDA with a barcode scanner.</p><p>Our conclusion is that the purpose of mobile information technology often is about making the torrent of information more effective by reducing the duplication of work and securing the quality of the information.</p><p>Using a user centered perspective in the development work has in general terms worked out pretty well for us. Requirements and demands of the application have become clearer to us after each iteration, and in the end the customer and the developer organization where on the same terms.</p><p>We have been able to apply the guidelines of usability on MobSaw (is the name of the application prototype that was made during the exam work). The principles are universal; the biggest difference is about input and screen size because the hardware’s capacity is limited. The advantages of the smaller frameworks for mobile devices is that the focus on usability increases.</p>

Axelsson, Lisa January 2008 (has links)

Are handheld computers secure enough to be used in the health- and medical care?

Larsson, Sandra January 2002 (has links)
<p>The aim of this report is to discuss computer security in handheld computers and to find out the appropriate security level that must be implemented to be able to use handheld computers within the Swedish healthcare system. Most healthcare centers are using some kind of electronic journals for their patient´s data today, but there are still a number of clinics that are usingthe old paper-system. </p><p>On a few places in Sweden the use of handheld computers at the clinics has already started, but in the United States the use of handheld computers in the medical area is already widespread and from this we can see a lot of different situations where it is useful and effective to work with handheld computers. </p><p>The security demands on patient´s journals are high and regulated in both Swedish law and regulations from the National Swedish Board of Health and Welfare. The law does not have any substantial demands, but states that there should be an adequate security level based on the nature of the information and the costs. The conclusions of this report is that this level of security can be achieved in handheld computers if additional software is installed and used in combination with the security features in the operating system. It is also necessary to have a good method for user identification that is adjusted to fit the situation in the clinic.</p>

Gustafson, Erik January 2008 (has links)

Delninių kompiuterių programinės įrangos projektavimo metodų tyrimas / Pocket PC software analysis of designing methods

Černiauskas, Nerijus 26 May 2006 (has links)
While there has been much successful work in developing rules to guide the design and implementation of interfaces for desktop machines and their applications, the design of mobile device interfaces is still relatively unexplored and unproven. This paper discusses the characteristics and limitations of current mobile device interfaces. Using existing interface guidelines as a starting point, a set of practical design guidelines for mobile device interfaces is proposed. An experimental interface was created that ran on a Pocket PC 2002 mobile computer and used a simple events registration style interface to enter data of basketball’s competition. The buttons of the registration system were changed in size between 12x12, 16x16 and 20x20 pixels and used a sound. Results showed that sounds significantly improved usability for both standard and small buttons.
