Digital innovation och digitala verktyg har stor påverkan på sättet som arbete utförs i dagens samhälle. Det påverkar både låg- och högutbildad arbetskraft, men olika arbetsroller blir påverkade på olika sätt. Denna kvalitativa studie har samlat in intervjuer från fondförvaltare till en fallstudie på tre svenska fondbolag. Dessa intervjuer har använts för att skapa en tematisk analys av hur fondförvaltarnas praktiker har förändrats när digitala verktyg implementeras. Studien visade att digitala verktyg på flera sätt har påverkat hur fondförvaltare jobbar, men till skillnad från många andra yrkesgrupper har de fondförvaltare som ingick i fallstudien god möjlighet att påverka de system som implementeras. De ansåg att digitala system var väldigt användbara, så länge det inte tog bort deras kontroll av fonderna. Detta var dock inget de var oroade över då utöver kontroll har de också ett lagligt ansvar för fonden vilket gör implementering av digitala verktyg som automatiserar fondförvaltning omöjligt i Sverige. Därav blir deras praktiker påverkade på ett positivt sätt, fondförvaltare ser positivt på digitala innovationer som underlättar de processer som tidigare varit tidskrävande och ger utrymme för fondförvaltare att spendera mer tid på den typ av arbete som kräver deras expertis. / Digital innovation and digital tools have a broad impact on the way that work is done in today's society. It impacts both low- and high skill labour but different professions get impacted in differing ways. This qualitative study has gathered interviews from fund managers to create a case study on three Swedish fund companies. These interviews have been used to create a thematic analysis of how fund managers' practices have changed when digital tools are implemented. The study showed that digital tools in many ways have impacted how fund managers work, but unlike many other professions the fund managers that were part of the case study believed they have a great impact on influencing what type of system is implemented. They felt that digital systems are very useful, as long as it does not impede on their control of the funds. However this was not a great concern of theirs as they felt they had legal security as the ones responsible for the funds, thus making digital tools that automate fund management impossible in Sweden. Therefore their practises are impacted in a positive way, the fund manager looks favourably on digital innovations that eases practices that used to take up more time and gives the fund managers space to spend more time doing the tasks that require their expertise.

Située au carrefour de la didactique des langues et cultures et des sciences de l’éducation, la présente thèse porte sur l’appropriation, par les enseignants du cycle primaire au Bénin, de l’Initiative Francophone pour la Formation à Distance des Maîtres (IFADEM) en tant que dispositif de formation continue, en enseignement-apprentissage du FLES. L’objectif consiste à apporter des pistes pour améliorer l’appropriation du dispositif. A partir d’un modèle théorique d’appropriation, mis en place au regard d’une approche théorique transdisciplinaire et des spécificités du contexte d’étude, doublé d’une démarche de triangulation articulant enquêtes par questionnaires, par entretiens semi-directifs, d’auto-confrontation et par observations de pratiques effectives (situantes), nous nous sommes attachés à identifier les « indicateurs » d’appropriation ainsi que les « effets » du dispositif de formation sur les « pratiques pédagogiques effectives » des enseignants. Les théories holistiques de l’apprentissage des langues et spécifiquement l’éducation bilingue, le translanguaging et les théories sur l’enseignement-apprentissage de l’oral, ont constitué un socle pour l’analyse et la compréhension de la situation de recherche. La stabilité de nos analyses, offerte par le choix d’une méthodologie par triangulation, confirme que le parcours d’appropriation est déterminé par des relations d’interdépendance entre des facteurs situationnels (contextualisation), relationnels (relation avec les pairs) et individuels (self-system, réflexivité, recul épistémologique). Elle nous permet également d’aboutir aux conclusions suivantes : les enseignants bénéficiaires de la formation IFADEM font usage de la formation de façon instrumentale, et notamment des tâches qui leurs sont proposées pour améliorer l’enseignement oral du et en français afin de faire face au plurilinguisme. Ils sont exposés à plusieurs variations d’échelle, sources de contraintes et de tensions dans leurs activités pédagogiques, et ces dernières constituent un frein à l’appropriation du dispositif. L’analyse du processus d’appropriation au regard de l’émergentisme et des systèmes complexes d’activité permet d’aboutir au fait que les tensions générées par le déploiement du dispositif IFADEM font partie intégrante du processus de transformation de ce dernier. C’est l’absence de feed-back soutenu et institutionnalisé qui constitue une entrave à l’appropriation du dispositif. Afin de réagir positivement à ces écarts et de garantir l’appropriation du dispositif, le recours à la médiation ainsi qu’à une approche par tâches constituerait une voie intermédiaire. Elle permettrait notamment au dispositif de formation IFADEM, de s’inscrire dans une démarche co-évolutive, essentielle à l’équilibre des systèmes. C’est en tenant compte de l’ensemble de ces analyses et ajustements que cette recherche aboutit à l’élaboration d’un modèle d’appropriation. / This PhD thesis, situated at the crossroads of two domains – language and culture learning and teaching and learning sciences – deals with the way Beninese primary school teachers appropriated the IFADEM programme - « Initiative Francophone pour la Formation à Distance des Maîtres » (Francophone Initiative for Distance Education of Teachers), as a lifelong education environment in the teaching and learning of « French as Foreign/Second Language Learning ». Our purpose is to suggest new avenues aimed at improving the appropriation of this education environment. Our approach is based on a theoretical model of appropriation informed by a transdisciplinary theoretical stance and by the specifics of the context under study, but also on a triangulation method mixing questionnaire surveys, semi-directive interviews, self-confrontation interviews and observations of actual practises (situating). We try to identify the « indicators » of appropriation as well as the « effects » of the education environment on the « actual pedagogical practises » of teachers. Holistic theories of language learning – and more specifically bilingual education, translanguaging and the theories on oral skills development have given a foundation to the analysis and the comprehension of the research situation. The stability of our analyses, made possible by the choice of a triangulation methodology, confirms that the appropriation paths are determined by interdependency relations between factors of situational (contextualisation), relational (relationships with peers) and individual (self-system, reflexivity, epistemological distancing) natures. It also allows us to reach the following conclusions : the teachers who benefitted from the IFADEM training use it instrumentally and more specifically use the tasks they were proposed to improve the teaching of oral skills in and of French, in order to tackle the question of plurilingualism. These teachers are faced with several scale variations which engender constraints and tensions in their pedagogical activities, thus hindering the appropriation of the education environment. The analysis of the appropriation process in the light of emergentism and of complex systems of activity leads to the conclusion that the tensions generated by the implementation of the IFADEM progamm are part and parcel of its process of transformation. The absence of institutionalised and sustained feedback is the real hindrance to the appropriation of the education environment. In order to reduce these discrepancies in a positive way and to guarantee appropriation, turning to mediation and a task-based approach would constitute a middle way. In particular, it would allow the IFADEM environment to come within the scope of a co-evolutive approach, which is essential to the balance of systems. Taking into account all these analyses and adjustments helps this research to reach the elaboration of a model of appropriation.

Afrikaans text, with Afrikaans and English summaries / Despite legislation to the effect intended to ensure the position of the disabled in society, disabled persons still find themselves largely marginalized in the South African context. During this research a group of about twenty participants, of whom about one-half are disabled, were involved in an inclusive process of art-making. The aim of the research was to challenge the dominant discourse which holds that making art is only for the select, talented few. This research was undertaken according to the scientific guidelines of practical theology. Contextual theology was used as a starting point, with emphasis on the participatory- and narrative approaches. The characteristics of pastoral care created an atmosphere which was conducive to the disabled participants discovering and developing hope for a more rewarding future. The research culminated in an exhibition in a national museum, which could contribute to an additional dimension in the narrative of the disabled participants. / Ten spyte van wetgewing om die inklusiewe posisie van die gestremde in die samelewing te verseker, is gestremdes in die Suid Afrikaanse konteks nog grootliks gemarginaliseerd. Vanuit hierdie gemarginaliseerde posisie vind gestremdes dit moeilik en dikwels onmoontlik om hul unieke potensiaal te ontwikkel om sodoende 'n beter lewenskwaliteit lewe te vestig. 'n Groep van ongeveer twintig deelnemers, waarvan die helfte gestremd is, is tydens hierdie navorsing in 'n inklusiewe konteks van kunsmaak betrek. Die doel van die navorsing is om diskoerse uit te daag wat bepaal dat kunsmaak net vir unieke, talentvolle mense beskore was. Teen die agtergrond van 'n postmoderne epistemologie kon gestremdes sonder vooraf opgestelde reels en regulasies uiting gee aan hul verbeelding en sodoende waaghalsig wees in die proses van kunsmaak. Hierdie navorsing het plaasgevind volgens die wetenskaplike riglyne van praktiese teologie. The research entailed an exploration of the design of job descriptions (JDs) in the South African Police Service (SAPS). A JD represents an official document that defines general duties, tasks, and related job responsibilities. It details the job features and the essential abilities required to perform the job. JDs are fundamental and vital to outline the job duties harmonised with the relevant organisation’s policy, ethos, goals, mission, and vision. Participants in this study were purposefully chosen to conduct semi-structured interviews and focus groups with information-rich SAPS Human Resource (HR) practitioners from both the support and operational career streams, to gain their insights into and viewpoints on the JD processes in the SAPS. The National Head Office: Divisions: Human Resource Utilisation (HRU) and Operational Response Service (ORS) and the information-rich provincial HR practitioners who support and monitor the implementation of JDs in the SAPS were included in this study. The participants were asked to answer open-ended questions that aimed to explore the design of JDs in the SAPS. The interviews were recorded with the participants’ permission. The recorded information was translated verbatim and analysed. The six fundamental themes that emerged are: value and benefits of JDs; processes to coordinate and monitor JDs to ensure effective management; the potential of JDs to enhance police performance; knowledge and skills for designing JDs; attitudes, experiences, and challenges of JDs; and recommendations of electronic JD systems. The topics were delineated using direct quotations from the participants as gained during the interviews. Opinions, experiences, administrative aspects, and criticism of the various features of JDs in the SAPS was explored. In summary, the research recommendations and conclusion were given.
