Denna produktutvecklingsstudie beskriver utvecklingen av en skolstol, specialdesignad för elever på gymnasieskolor. Syftet med studien är att utveckla en stol utifrån användarens behov och krav, då det finns en brist på stolar utformade efter användarens behov för denna målgrupp. Utvecklingen är uppdelad i fem steg, introduktion till projektet, projektplan och metoder, en litteraturstudie på fakta och information som behövs för att möjliggöra denna produkt design, en design utvecklingsprocessen, bestående av skisser, en CAD-modell och FEA, och sedan resultatet och slutligen en diskussionsdel om vad som uppnåddes samt vad som kan vidareutvecklas, och stödja en vidareutveckling av skolstolar i framtiden. Resultatet av slutprodukten är en funktionell stol som uppfyller målgruppens krav och behov, samt standarder och krav på skolstolar. De viktigaste målen var att uppnå en hållbar, prisvärd och bekväm stol för elever att använda, och skolor att ha råd med, vilket den slutliga produkten uppnår. / This product development study describes the development of a school chair, specially designed for high school students. This due to the lack of chairs designed after the need of the user in this subject group. The development is split up into five stages, the introduction to the project, the project plan and methods, information (facts) needed to make the product design possible, the design development process, consisting of sketches, a CAD model and FEA, and then the result and finally a conclusionon what was achieved as well as what could be further developed, and support a further development of school chairs in the future. The result of the final product is a functional chair that achieves the requirements from the users, as well as the standards and requirements for school chairs. The key goals were to achieve a sustainable, affordable and comfortable chair for students to use, and schools to afford, in which the final product achieves.

The thesis deals with interpretation Josef Hora´s (1891-1945) collection of works in context of literature of 1st half of 20th century. It is primarily focused on changes of Hora´s poetics in his poetical production. In addition the subject of interest is also author´s artistic and publicistic production. All these parts are related with his life and another literary production at that time. In the first chapter is Josef Hora´s biography devoted to influences on his works. The second chapter interprets author´s poetical production. His books of poetry are sorted in a chronological sequence for better understanding their mutual influences and the influences of period, when they were written. The third chapter refers to a trend of Hora´s proses in a chronological sequence as well and their interpetations. The fourth chapter specifies Hora´s Russian, South Slavic and German translations. The fifth chapter touches his publicistic production, particularly favourite themes and genres In the sixth chapter there is enumerated bibliography of Josef Hora and finally, all discovered facts are recapitulated and generalized in the summary.

This report is an investigation into how I, as a furniture designer, can absorb the task of furniture design, with the intention of honoring a brand, by holding it in the highest of esteem, so that it may be revered.  During my three years as a student at Malmstens Bachelor’s Program in furniture design, I have been taught and trained, to be able to to create and design distinguished furniture for the industry, that is worthy of respect.  The report describes how a lounge chair has emerged through a design process in collaboration with Gemla Fabrikers AB. I have been focusing on the history of Gemla as the only furniture manufacturer in Sweden that can tame wood and the challenges that Gemla stands in front of.  The investigation is built on my  onw studies, interviews and a survey.The lounge chair, which is a physical result of this investigation, is partially made of bent wood and is a tribute to the queen in the Swedish furniture bransch. Gemla. / Den här rapporten är en undersökning i hur jag som möbeldesigner kan ta mig an uppgiften att designa en möbel i avsikt att vårda ett varumärke. Under tre års studier på på Malmstens möbeldesignprogram har jag tränats för att kunna designa möbler för möbelindustrin. Rapporten beskriver hur en fåtölj vuxit fram ur en designprocess i samarbete med Gemla Fabrikers AB. Syftet var att skapa en produkt som vårdar Gemlas varumärke. Fokus har lagts på Gemlas historia som är det enda företag i Sverige som kan böja trä och de vägval Gemla står inför. Undersökningen bygger på egna studier, intervjuer och en enkät. Fåtöljen som är det fysiska resultatet av denna undersökning är delvis tillverkad i böjträ och är en hyllning till drottningen i den svenska möbelindustrin. Gemla.

Seat belt and headrest adjustment: Increasing truck driver comfortability / Justering av säkerhetsbälte och nackstöd: Komfortförbättring av förarstolen ilastbilar

Truck drivers spend long, consecutive periods of time seated down, and the truck cab becomes their immediate work environment. Therefore, it is important to make sure that this space is properly adapted to fit the driver’s needs well. The driver seat is something the driver are very much in contact with. The seat can be adjusted in many ways to accommodate for drivers of different heights and body types. However, two of the components which are fixed today are the upper seat belt anchorage position and the headrest. In this thesis project, the aim has been to investigate the adjustment possibilities of these components in terms of desired adjustment range and mechanical solutions. The first part of the project was spent on ergonomic evaluations of the seat, and finding what properties are the most important when designing a truck seat. Both literature reviews as well as interviews and observations helped build the knowledge foundation to base adjustment concepts on. For example, it was found that to minimise the negative effects of sedentary work, the single most important action is to frequently change the sitting position. Therefore, it is of high importance that adjustment procedures are as simple as possible. It was also found that many truck drivers do not use their seat belt at all, and that having a headrest which is adjustable in height is important for the driver’s visual area. Several ideas and concepts were generated and evaluated. The initial ideas included both solutions applicable on the current seat belt design, while some would use other means of securing the driver in a collision. The ideas were compared and evaluated, and three were chosen to develop further; one being easy to implement, and two being mechanical solutions both making use of the current seat belt design. These three concepts were investigated more deeply, and were subsequently also compared using different methods for evaluation. Eventually, a final concept was chosen; a mechanical solution in which the seat belt and headrest can be adjusted separately in one and two directions respectively. This concept was further developed in terms of both mechanical as well as visual design. In the final concept, Hoop, the seat belt is adjusted sideways, as this was proven to give the largest comfortability improvement for the driver. The headrest is adjustable in both height and depth. The mechanisms are locked using ratchets, however, both can be adjusted in what is believed to be the most critical direction without the need to unlock first. The buttons for unlocking the mechanisms are placed directly on the adjustment mechanisms in order to keep the procedure as intuitive and easy to use as possible. The adjustment ranges were determined based on Scania’s anthropometric dataset in order to make sure that the adjustment features will be useful for an as large part of the driver population as possible. / Lastbilschaufförer tillbringar under sina arbetspass många timmar i lastbilshytten, som blir deras direkta arbetsmiljö. Det är därför viktigt att hytten är utformad utifrån föraren och dennes behov. Förarstolen är en av de komponenter som föraren har allra mest kontakt med. Denna kan justeras på många sätt för att möjliggöra för förare av olika längder och kroppstyper att hitta en körposition som passar just dem. Två komponenter som dock inte kan justeras i dagsläget är positionen av den övre bältesomlänkaren och nackstödet. I detta examensarbete har fokus varit att ta fram hur justering för dessa skulle kunna se ut både i form av önskat justerområde och mekaniska lösningar. Projektets inleddes med en ergonomisk undersökning för att hitta de viktigaste fokusområdena för just lastbilars förarstolar. Informationen hämtades dels från litteratur, och utöver detta gjordes även användarundersökningar genom en enkät, kontextuella intervjuer och observationer. En av de viktigaste insikterna från undersökningen var att det absolut viktigaste för att undvika negativa effekter av stillasittande arbete är att kontinuerligt ändra sin sittposition. Ett effektivt sätt att få fler förare att använda justeringsfunktionerna på detta sätt kan vara att placera kontroller väl åtkomliga och göra justeringsproceduren så lättförståelig och lättanvänd som möjligt. Dessutom är det mycket viktigt att ett nackstöd kan justeras inte bara ur komfortsynpunkt, utan här finns det även en stark säkerhetsfaktor kopplad till förarens synfält. Baserat på informationssökningen genererades därefter flera olika lösningsidéer, där vissa låg närmre dagens lösning än andra. Dessa evaluerades sedan med hjälp av bland annat beslutsmatriser, och tre idéer valdes att utveckla vidare till tydligare koncept. Av de tre idéer som valts ut var en lösning enkel att implementera och två var olika mekaniska lösningar, alla applicerbara för den nuvarande bältesformen. Dessa detaljerades och kombinerades samman med hjälp av en morfologisk matris, och jämfördes sedan gentemot varandra. Slutligen valdes ett koncept ut som det slutgiltiga, där bältesomlänkaren kan justeras i en riktning och nackstödet i två. Detta slutkoncept utvecklades ytterligare vad gäller den mekaniska lösningen och dess visuella form. I slutkonceptet, Hoop, kan bältesomlänkaren justeras i sidled, eftersom denna justeringsriktning i den ergonomiska undersökningen visade sig ge störst resultat för förarens komfort. Nackstödet kan justeras både i höjd- och i djupled. Båda mekanismerna låses med hjälp av geometriska spärrlåsningar, men kan justeras i en riktning, den som ses som mest kritisk att snabbt kunna justera i, utan att föraren först behöver låsa upp mekanismen. Knapparna för att låsa upp mekanismerna är placerade i direkt anslutning till området där själva rörelsen sker för att göra användandet så intuitivt som möjligt. Justerområdena har baserats på antropometriska mått hämtade från Scaniafamiljen för att försäkra om att de täcker in så stor del av förarpopulationen som möjligt.

This thesis consists of an analysis of the works of two Cuban authors of the first half of the 19th Century, Francisco de Arango y Parreño and José Antonio Saco. This paper focuses on their works, mainly on those that discuss the topic of slavery. The first chapter introduces the evolution of slavery and its end throughout the Word and in Cuba, focusing on the development of the Cuban society in the 19th century, in which both of the authors lived and created. The second chapter analyses the works of Francisco de Arango y Parreño, his gradual development of ideas and views on the subject in connection with historical events that influenced his works. The third chapter is comprised of similar analysis of José Antonio Saco's works. The conclusion compares the works of both authors and highlights the points in which their views coincide or diverge. The topic of my Master's graduation thesis is the music of the 18th century and the importance of Czech composers in the context of the whole Europe.At the beginning of the work we are led into the historic consequences where there is a brief introduction of the political and social situation and where the status of a musician in the world of those times and his role are discussed. Then Czech musicality and its importance for European Classicism are referred to.In the following chapters the musical environment in the Czech lands are dealt with, together with the importance of Czech schoolmasters' families and castle orchestras in our countries. The consecutive chapter deals with the Czech emigration, music centres and institutions in Europe and other crucial events of the 18th century. The 8th chapter focuses on the types of compositions in the period of Classicism and their use in practice. The final chapter gives a detailed overview of the compositions for four hands for keyboard instruments in the 18th century, specifically the composers, music examples for compositions for four hands and at the very end the author's own experience of four-hands keyboard playing is shared.

My thesis presents progress of St. Nicholas cathedral chapter house in České Budějovice. Readers can understand importance of chapter house at the time of validity Canonic Law Codex made in the year 1983. It shows how state intervened in the life of the Church. It also outlines circumstances of beginning this diocese. This diploma paper stands on archival documents as well as on testimonies of witnesses. It presents conclusions of prestigious historical works (historians) as well as less known sources.
