Bakgrund: 2020 inträffade cirka 8000 hjärtstopp i Sverige, varav 1458 kunde återupplivas. / Background: 2020 approximately 8000 cardiac arrests´ occurred in Sweden, of which 1458 could be resuscitated. Contrasting Narratives on Responses to Victims and Survivors of Clerical Abuse in England and Wales: Challenges to Catholic Church DiscourseGilligan, Philip A. January 2012 (has links)
No / Accounts of the Catholic Church's response to those disclosing sexual abuse by clergy to diocesan safeguarding commissions (formerly child protection commissions) in England and Wales are analysed and compared. The accounts given and the conclusions reached by the Church and those it employs or has commissioned are considered alongside the experiences reported by survivors. The contrasts between these narratives are discussed using techniques underpinned by critical discourse analysis and highlighting service user perspectives. Reports for the period to 2010 and published in 2011 by the National Catholic Safeguarding Commission and Minister and Clergy Sexual Abuse Survivors are discussed in detail, with the resulting analysis of the narratives emerging arguably reflecting a broader discourse. It is suggested that, despite attempts to present the situation differently, the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales continues to be hampered in its efforts to respond sensitively to the needs of those who have been abused, because, as an institution, it also continues to serve conflicting legitimacy communities, and that, as a result, it risks further alienating those victims and survivors who have been led to expect that their needs will be prioritised over the financial interests and reputation of the institution.

Patienters upplevelser efter att ha överlevt ett hjärtstopp : en litteraturöversikt / Patients' experiences after surviving a cardiac arrest : a literature reviewFadel, Sanaria January 2024 (has links)
Cardiac arrest is a global health problem and one of the most common causes of death in Sweden. (2011). All items that have been included have shown high quality. The result: It is presented in four categories and ten subcategories. The four categories are: consequences after cardiac arrest, experience of the environment's support after cardiac arrest, experience of meeting with health care, processing, and the new life. After cardiac arrest, many patients have felt physical, mental, and cognitive changes. Survivors have described the importance of the experiences of healthcare professionals, relatives, and similar individuals as support during the recovery process. While other survivors have experienced a lack of information from health professionals. Survivors have described the experience of losing their identity and their attempts to regain their old identity during the recovery process. Experiences of Men who Commit to Romantic Relationships with Women Under Fifty Post Breast Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment: A Qualitative StudyFreidus, Rachel Amanda 02 June 2015 (has links)
This qualitative study examined the experiences of men who commit to romantic relationships with women under 50, post breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. Twelve men from throughout the United States, who were dating these women for at least six months, participated in semi-structured interviews. The data were analyzed using Moustaka's Transcendental Phenomenological approach. Findings focused on initial disclosure timing, previous experience/knowledge about the cancer, initial reactions and concerns, acceptance of the cancer history, focusing on love/connection, respecting and admiring the survivor, and the ongoing impact of cancer on the relationship. The men seemed to experience dating a survivor with acceptance, understanding that though the cancer continues to be a part of their lives, it does not seem to be the focus of their lives or of the relationship. Clinical implications are discussed, highlighting the systemic effect that breast cancer may have on a couple even after treatment is complete. Limitations and future research are examined. / Master of Science
