Návrh robotického pracoviště pro automatické zakládání termostatických hlavic / Design of robotic workstation for automated insertion of thermostatic heads

Kubovčík, Peter January 2019 (has links)
The objective of this master thesis is to design a robotic work cell for automated insertion of thermostatic heads. The proposed design was based on the comprehensive analysis of the current workplace. By taking the demands of the company and customer into consideration, several possibilities of the robotic work cell design were proposed, from which the most suitable one was chosen and carefully elaborated. During the process of designing, several safety standards had to be taken into consideration in order to mitigate risks. For that purpose, a risk analysis was conducted as well. Using the Siemens Process Simulate software, the proposed robotic work cell concept was verified, including cycle time analysis. The last part of the thesis is an assessment of the initial expenditures of the robotic work cell equipment, as well as the return of the investment calculation. Drawing of the robotic work cell layout is attached to the thesis.

IN-BETWEEN: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT STUDY THROUGH INDUSTRIAL AND EXPERIMENTAL APPROACHES / IN-BETWEEN: PRODUKTUTVECKLINGSSTUDIE GENOM INDUSTRIELLA OCH EXPERIMENTELLA METODER

Marie-Rose, Aymerick January 2021 (has links)
Experimental design is a practice operating at the limit between craftmanship, art and technology. In collaboration with the studio breadeEscalope (Vienna, Austria) this project oscillates between research and production to study the link between industrial and experimental approach to design.  Hitherto initiated from an impulse or a problem requiring solution, the action of designing suggest a product or a service to fulfill needs. In industrial design, the creative process follows contextually anchored steps to frame, define, develop and deliver. For the sake of a pragmatic answer, the delivery is centred around the user and its needs, often leading to an opaque finished product.  Home’s basic, the coat rack was selected to support this study as a concrete product base for trend and consumer behavior analysis. From shared ornamental and functional object placed in the entrance of houses, the coat rack previously “hatstand”, is today an unnoticed domestic object. The final product was hand manufactured with recycled and raw component, allowing transparency on the production process and used material. Stacking up coats on the produced rack create a private space for the user to sit in, questioning the relationship between user and product (ownership, trust, value). Based on architectural concept and design theory, the product aims to bridge creative and technical disciplines to suggest a functional yet questionable product as dialogue starter.  How sustainable are the objects that surround us every day? What is the story of the product? With those question in head the experimental design thinking studio breadedEscalope based in Vienna (Austria), offers an alternative approach to design. Always starting projects with the production process as a story of formations, offering unique and playful outcome to the act of designing.

Modelování rizik výrobních procesů / Risk modelling for production processes

Ftáčnik, Peter January 2016 (has links)
The processes and procedures covered the main core of the professional operations in the manufacturing plant. The enterprise should focus on the efficient running of the main processes and risks associated with these procedures. My thesis deals with the risk analysis of selected manufacturing processes particular company from qualitative and quantitative point of view. First, the results are presented from qualitative risk analysis, especially in scope of failures of the machines or in the sequences of production. Second part focus on the problems of optimization sequence batches that the total time required for pre-setting of machines between doses should be minimal. The thesis also takes random waiting period into the consideration and applies wait-and-see approach of stochaistic programming applied in task traveling salesman. Calculations are processed by the GAMS. The results from the GAMS are refered in MS Excel, they are further discussed and interpreted by using descriptive statistics.

Applicability of ISO 56002 in Production Processes

Sayahi, Zeinab January 2021 (has links)
The popularity of the term innovation is growing rapidly. Its significant role in the increasingly competitive world is not deniable. Consequently, to secure their profitable growth, enterprises across the world try to improve their innovation capabilities. After publishing the first international standard by ISO, in the realm of innovation management system, this current thesis project is performed to investigate the challenges and motivations that production units may have in implementing the new standard, ISO 56002, in their production processes. The empirical part of the project is carried out in cooperation with five Swedish industrial companies. A variety of companies regarding to the type of activities, size, age, etc. were selected. Based on the content of standard ISO 56002, the collected data from prior research and empirical findings, an analysis is performed. The results shows that organizations have different approaches toward managing innovation activities and their current innovation management’s capabilities is a determining factor for challenges with ISO 56002. However, all respondents have positive attitude toward the implementation of ISO 56002 in the production processes and consider it as a useful standard with many potential benefits for their organizations. Challenges that companies may confront, in applying ISO 65002 in the production processes, are culture, involvement of leadership, immaturity in working with processes, etc. Considering the consensus about the culture as a challenge, a model to enhance the employee’s engagement is suggested. This thesis is one of the pioneers in investigating the applicability of ISO 56002:2019 in a production process. It can provide production units with useful information and contribute to the innovation management community. The empirical information is collected from companies that have not implemented ISO 56002.Future studies by focusing on the companies with ISO 56002, can shed light on new aspects of the standard’s applicability in the production processes and develop findings of the present thesis. Additionally, the implementation of standard’s various features in production processes can be inspected individually.

Ladines Tejada, Rodrigo, Villa Alvarado, Jaime Armando 18 October 2021 (has links)
Production is one of the most important, if not the most important, process for any organization. For the food and restaurant sector, efficient production that adapts to demand fluctuations will determine its economic success, as market position. In this context, the Operations and Marketing areas play an important role in developing the desired profitability for the company. Numerous case studies and research have shown that the Theory of Constraints and MRP methodology, allow adequate production planning. For this reason, this paper will rely on both industrial engineering tools to solve the problems identified in an important and major Peruvian restaurant chain. TOC identified the restriction of the production process, reaching the conclusion that to satisfy the demand for pizzas it would be necessary to consider the purchase of new machinery (lifters). Additionally, the current and improved scenarios were simulated to mathematically validate the proposal to be implemented, using the Arena software. The economic analysis was validated with @Risk software. Within the limits of a conservative demand scenario, an IRR of approximately 57% on average could be achieved, placing the proposed proposal as viable and successful. / Trabajo de Suficiencia Profesional
