Verksamhetsstyrning med datoriserade IT-verktyg

Falck Brismark, Helena, Gadestedt, Marlene January 2015 (has links)
Nyckelord: IT-verktyg, Arbetsplanering, Kommunikation, Tidsplanering. / Abstract Title: Performance Management with computerized technology tools Authors: Helena Falck Brismark and Marlene Gadestedt Level: Bachelor thesis in Business Administration Supervisor: Stig Sörling and Tomas Källquist Date: January 2015 Aim: The aim of this study is to highlight the advantages and disadvantages of IT-based tools in the management and planning of daily activities in the public sector. Method: This study has a hermeneutic perspective as a starting point. The study has been conducted in an abdicative approach, i.e. an interaction between theory and the empirical material which contends experience with IT-tool. We have studied the IT-tool called Laps Care. The theoretical framework has been strongly influenced by the empirically material. The study is a case study with a qualitative approach in which unstructured interviews with focus groups have been made. Grounded theory has been the source of inspiration when the material has been processed and analyzed. Result & Conclusion: The interviewed in the study gave a consistent picture of the advantages and disadvantages they experienced when using the IT-tool. The study shows that there are many advantages with IT-tools in operations planning and just a few disadvantages. The advantages are for example, easier addition of temporary staff, automatic regulation of workload, and ensuring the correct time consumption to the customer. One of the disadvantages that emerged was that joint visits may be perceived as stressful. It is also concluded that the IT tool was vulnerable in the event of power failure. Contribution of the thesis: We have in this study found that perceived disadvantages of a new IT tool for a period of time can change, and then perceived as advantages. The study also contributes to IT tools that planning for activities involving people need to be flexible. It has also been shown that it is important that the IT tool takes into account all components of a business. Suggestions for future research: It has been discussed that the IT-tool, which is used in the present study, could be expanded with an additional component. If so, it would be of interest to observe how the staff experiences such a change with particular emphasis on flexibility. We are also interested to see how different generations look at the IT-tool's advantages and disadvantages. Key words: IT tools, Work planning, Communication, Time Management

Essays on time-inconsistency and revealed preference

Dziewulski, Paweł January 2014 (has links)
This thesis concerns three important issues related to the problem of time-inconsistency in decision-making and revealed preference analysis. The first chapter focuses on the welfare properties of equilibria in exchange economies with time-dependent preferences. We reintroduce the notion of time-consistent overall Pareto efficiency proposed by Herings and Rohde (2006) and show that, whenever the agents are sophisticated, any equilibrium allocation is efficient in this sense. Thereby, we present a version of the First Fundamental Welfare Theorem for this class of economies. Moreover, we present a social welfare function with maximisers that coincide with the efficient allocations and prove that every equilibrium can be represented by a solution to the social welfare optimisation problem. In the second chapter we concentrate on the observable implications of various models of time-preference. We consider a framework in which subjects are asked to choose between pairs consisting of a monetary payment and a time-delay at which the payment is delivered. Given a finite set of observations, we are interested under what conditions the choices of an individual agent can be rationalised by a discounted utility function. We develop an axiomatic characterisation of time-preference with various forms of discounting, including weakly present-biased, quasi-hyperbolic, and exponential, and determine the testable restrictions for each specification. Moreover, we discuss possible identification issues that may arise in this class of tests. Finally, in the third chapter, we discuss the testable restrictions for production technologies that exhibit complementarities. Suppose that we observe a finite number of choices of input factors made by a single firm, as well as the prices at which they were acquired. Under what conditions imposed on the set of observations is it possible to justify the decisions of the firm by profit-maximisation with production complementarities? In this chapter, we develop an axiomatic characterisation of such behaviour and provide an easy-to-apply test for the hypothesis which can be employed in an empirical analysis.

Manažerské dovednosti / Managerial skills

Vernerová, Lucie January 2017 (has links)
This thesis deals with the management skills that department employees are monitored on, in terms of their work in use and which are necessary for their performance. This thesis consists of two parts, the theoretical and practical. The first part is focusing on theoretical solutions developed on the basis of special Literature and defines basic concepts such as management, managers personality, their competences, but also managerial roles and functions. In detail, it describes soft management skills. The second part is characterized by high society and leads to analyze current levels of managerial skills of their jobs. Custom research was implemented through guided interview with the line manager and form of a questionnaire with employees of the chosen department.Based on the results of the questionnaire, a conclusion can be formed and used to create drawn-effective measures that can in the future help to strengthen the examined skills of workers and increase their level of practice.

Die implementering van 'n voorkomingsprogram teen die psigiese uitbrandingsindroom by hoëprofiel adolessente / The implementation of a preventative program against the Burnout Syndrome for high profile adolescents

Strydom, Dewald 30 June 2003 (has links)
Text in Afrikaans / The aim of this study is to design a program that will prevent the manifestation of burnout. The focus is on mobilising the high profile adolescent with the necessary life skills in order to counter the development of burnout. The emphasis is thus on pro-active action rather than providing a therapeutical approach. Qualitative and quantitative time management strategies become the key to equip a person with the life skills to avoid burnout. Man is to a great extent the architect of his own burnout, but can with the implementation of certain strategies put into place the necessary skills to counter burnout. The study implements a qualitative research paradigm whereby the researcher acts as an ethnographer. The life stories of six high profile adolescents are ethnographically unlocked. The researcher's own auto-ethnographic story is also told. The life stories of the adolescents are told within the context of a survey of the literature on burnout. A discourse with the adolescents was maintained for more than a year in order to locate signs of burnout. If necessary, indications of burnout were countered. The results of the study have shown that the adolescents as well as the researcher have been equipped to reveal life better and to make a bold stand against the impact of burnout.

Wagner, Manuela Victora January 2010 (has links)
The continuous worry among organizations and its professional about time management competences are increasing the demand on short endurance courses on the subject. However, theories present the complex process involved in developing any kind of competence. The present research was about the individual time management competence development on short endurance courses on the subject. Throughout three research steps: documental, exploratory and quantitative studies, it was possible to build a theoretical framework of learning product, learning process, training impacts, individual competence notions; and to develop a time management competence notion and a framework of the its complexity levels. It was perceived that some students are capable to develop the individual competence proposed by time management courses after participation.
