[en] ASPECTS AND LOGISTICAL CHALLENGES OF THE E-COMMERCE B2C IMPLEMENTATION FOR UNIFORMS SALE IN THE BRAZILIAN NAVY / [pt] OS ASPECTOS E DESAFIOS LOGÍSTICOS PARA A IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DO E-COMMERCE B2C PARA A VENDA DE UNIFORMES NA MARINHA DO BRASILPIERFRANCO PASTORE 31 May 2010 (has links)
empresarial. / [en] The competitive scenario of the market, associated to technological
development, has created a new way of doing business: the e-commerce B2C. On
this realm, logistics is present not only as the main tool, but also as a major
bottleneck. The logistics of e-commerce B2C, besides presenting unique features,
requires from the organization that is willing to adopt it an efficiency level far
beyond the one necessary to traditional logistics doctrines. Thus, its effectiveness
is reflected in the development of advanced control, planning and systems
techniques, and new concepts. Based on these aspects, this study suggests the
possibility of developing this type of business on the public environment, more
specifically, in the Brazilian Navy. It is essential that an institution that takes care
of national interests is always ready to act, not only on its peculiar operations, but
also on those which, although designed to support, maintain strategic importance,
such as logistics operations. For this purpose, to conform to the new trends,
techniques, and also to new concepts, increases the possibility of e-commerce
B2C implementation to bring an improvement in terms of logistical efficiency and
effectiveness for the Navy, as it combines the business environment technologies
with the war doctrines. As a result, the Force will have its readiness level
increased. The study also contributes to the development of new solutions to the
challenges posed by electronic commerce, considering the possibilities raised by
the parallels made between the two environments studied: the military and the
business one.

The latest generation of communication networks adopted a heterogeneous structure
in which the legacy macrocells from earlier deployments are overlaid with smaller cells
adopting different user subscription policies. This new topology not only extends the
coverage zones and improves the service in shadowed areas with respect to previous
network implementations, but also significantly increases the transmission rates in the
network to satisfy the ever increasing demand both in user number and per-user rates.
Although the heterogeneous structure provides solutions to the diffculties earlier
networks were facing, they also present their own challenges, especially in terms of
strong interference levels that may arise among users and base stations. By abandoning
the planned, uniform and non-overlapped base station and coverage area deployment,
many situations appear where the interference power levels suffered by the communication
devices is inadmissible.
Therefore, novel intra- and inter-cell interference suppression techniques are required
in order to avoid that these scenarios counteract the numerous benefits associated
to heterogeneous networks. The traditional multiple access schemes become inefficient
in these situations since they divide all the available resources, and this has a network
wide negative impact.
This Thesis presents the analysis of interference alignment techniques applied to
typical situations in these networks. The linear techniques studied here enable effcient
system resource exploitation, offering at the same time high flexibility to adapt to the
constantly evolving conditions in the network. Their study is oriented to solve situations
where the interference is stronger than the desired signal.
First, the interference alignment feasibility is analyzed using the multiple signal
dimensions offered by the signals used in the standards of the latest-generation mobile
communication systems. This work proposes an implementation of this method which
o ers comparative advantages with respect to standard-defined interference suppression
strategies. The analysis of this proposal is supported by numerical results obtained using
computer simulations.
Next, the self-interference alignment problem is studied. These signals are selfinflicted by a terminal transmitting and receiving simultaneously at the same frequency
band. This functionality is of high interest for future communication systems, since
it not only increases their spectral efficiency, but it also allows to manage them in
a more dynamic and
exible manner, and it would also enable greater abilities for
their terminals. This Thesis proves the feasibility of self-interference alignment using
advanced sampling methods, and also proposes a practical transceiver structure which
is able to perform this function. By means of analysis and simulations it is shown that
the proposed transceiver has significant advantages with respect to the state-of-theart
solutions for the same challenge, even when it is subject to performance limiting
imperfections.

Valencia Salazar, I. Análise da inflamabilidade de têxteis de uniformes de aeronautas / Analysis of textile flammability of the flight crew uniformSilva, Marcia Cristina 06 September 2018 (has links)
The flammability conditions laid down in the aeronautical standards applied to the textiles forming part of the passenger cabin of the aircraft. But these standards are not required for application to crew uniforms. However, since it is part of the function of the crew, notably flight attendants, the fire fighting on board, even if this type of accident is not frequent in relation to all accidents in general in this sector, this fact directed the present study to know the limits of the textile materials of the uniforms of the aeronauts with respect to the flammability. Thus, the objectives were: to determine the flammability (burning rate) of professional fabric samples and samples of aeronaut uniform pieces; characterize the professional fabrics and those that constitute parts of uniforms of aeronauts, through tests of: composition, weights, number of threads per weft and warp, weaving, fabric thickness, yarn diameter, linear density and torsion; calculate the yarn diameter and coverage factor and correlate the values of flammability obtained with the tissue characterization values and calculated parameters. The experiments were carried out in three professional fabrics and in eight pieces of uniforms of aeronauts from different companies donated for this study, in addition to semi-structured interviews and technical visits. The interpretation of the obtained results was carried out with application of tests of normality of data, equality of variances, ANOVA and response surface. The results found in the present study do not fit within the limits recommended by FAR25 for the material to be qualified self-extinguishing. The lowest flammability value was 0.742 ± 0.140 (cm/s). This result is the mean obtained from the burning rate of the 10 samples tested from the fabric of the P7 piece (male trousers) in the direction of the weft. The composition of the piece is a mixture of 50% wool and 50% polyester with a weight of 225.12 ± 5.02 (g/m2), linear yarn density of 36.61 ± 1.48 (tex) and a twist of 598.00 ± 45.34 (torsions/m). The yarn diameter calculated by the Peirce model was 0.219 mm. The highest flammability value was 3.698 ± 1.806 (cm/s). This result is the mean obtained from the burning rate of the 10 samples tested from the fabric of the piece P5 (male shirt) in the direction of the weft. The composition of the piece is a mixture of 67% polyester and 33% cotton with weights of 108.72 ± 2.39 (g/m2), linear yarn density of 15.88 ± 1.27 (tex) and twisting of 991.00 ± 45.75 (torsions/m). The wire diameter calculated by the Peirce model was 0.148 mm. The analysis of variance with all the factors was not validated by the residue analysis. However, the relationship between the explanatory variables \"direction\", \"material\" and \"ligament\" with the variable \"burning rate\" grouping by specific physical characteristics, resulted in analyzes validated by their residues. Influence of the \"direction\" on the \"burning rate\" for group \"material 100% CO, plain weave\", the burning speed is statistically equal in the direction of warp and weft, group \" material 100% PES, twill weave, burning rate is a statistically different one, being smaller in the direction of the weft, group \"material 100% PES, plain weave\", the burning speed is statistically different, being smaller in the direction of the warp, group \"material 67% PES / 33% CO, twill weave and \"material 67% PES / 33% CO, plain weave\", the burning speed is statistically equal in the direction of warp and warp and group \"material 50% WO / 50% PES, plain weave\", the speed of burn is equal in the direction of warp and warp. Influence of the material on the burning rate: group twill weave, direction weft burning rate is statistically different, being smaller to material 100% CO, group twill weave, direction warp burning rate is statiscally different, being smaller to material 100% CO, group plain weave, direction weft, burning rate is statiscally equal to material 100% CO, 100% PES, 67%/33%CO and 50%WO/50%PES, group plain weave, direction warp burning rate is statiscally equal to material 67%PES/33%CO. Thus suggestions for future studies may take into account more closed constructions of tissues; fabric construction with fibers of vegetable or animal origin or mixtures with synthetic fibers (with or without additives of flame retardants) for aggregation of functionality; changes in the modeling of parts; and to study alteration in the weight of the tissues and the torsion of their constituent yarns

Formulation of the uniform torsion problem in solid section bars.Silva, Henrique Furia 17 May 2005 (has links)
The main purpose of this essay is to present the issue of the uniform torsion in solid section bars and to solve it analytically to achieve the moment of inertia to the torsion of the transversal section and the displacements throughout the whole bar. This essay was developed in the Elasticity Theory context, using the semi-inverse method to determine the Saint-Venant equations to the uniform torsion. The sections in ellipse and equilateral triangle were solved using the Prandtl stress function, the warping function and its harmonic conjugate. The rectangular section was solved using the warping and the Prandtl functions developed in infinite series. A formulation based on matrixes was developed using the Galerkin method to solve problems that do not have closed solution.

In this indication, conformal radiotherapy is generally used. However, prognosis remains poor for these patients.Respiratory gating radiotherapy can decrease healthy tissus irradiation and allows escalation dose in lung, liver and breast cancer. In order to improve radiotherapy technique, we propose to study the feasibility of respiratory gating for esophageal cancer. We will study the respiratory motions of esophageal cancer to optimize target volume delineation, especially the internal margin (IM).We will test the correlation between tumour and chest wall displacements to prove that esophageal cancer motions are induced by respiration. This is essential before using free breathing respiratory gating systems. We will work out the dosimetric impact of respiratory gating using various dosimetric analysis parameters. We will compare dosimetric plans at end expiration, end inspiration and deep inspiration with dosimetric plan in free-breathing condition. This will allow us to establish the best respiratory phase to irradiate for each gating system. This dosimetric study will be completed with linear quadratic equivalent uniform dose (EUD) calculation for each volume of interest. Previously, we will do a theoretical study of histogram dose volume gradation to point up its use

Análise da inflamabilidade de têxteis de uniformes de aeronautas / Analysis of textile flammability of the flight crew uniformMarcia Cristina Silva 06 September 2018 (has links)

In this work the motion of a space charge cloud embedded in a matrix of Constant immobile charge density is studied in open as well as in closed circuit. In the first case, open circuit, the solution is almost trivial as compared as the other one in which, after some work, the problem is reduced to an ordinary diffetential equation. The method of solution is parallel to that employed in the study of monopolar free space charge motion. The voltage and the current produced by a system with no net charge but with unbalanced local charge density were calculated using the general equations derived in the first part of the work
