The purpose of this study was to explore the processes of hope in informal caregivers of palliative patients. Interviews were conducted with caregivers who were living with and currently providing care to a palliative patient at home. Saturation was reached with 10 caregivers, five females and five males, from 2 cities in Saskatchewan, Canada. <p>The design of this qualitative study was Glasers (2001) grounded theory. Broad, unstructured face to face audio taped interviews were conducted in the participants homes. Interviews were transcribed verbatim and analyzed using constant-comparative method of analysis in order to identify the main concern of the participants related to hope, and the basic social processes used to resolve that concern. <p>Eroding hope was the main concern relating to hope during caregiving for a palliative patient. Eroding hope was a result of bad days, negative messages, and experiences with the health care system. The participants deal with eroding hope by using the basic social process of hanging on to hope. Hanging on to hope has 4 sub-processes: a)doing what you have to do, b)living in the moment, c)staying positive, and d)writing your own story. The support of friends, family, and health care professionals and connecting with something bigger and stronger were sub-processes of hanging on to hope that together directly affect the other sub-processes.<p>The findings of this study have direct application for the care and support of informal caregivers providing palliative care at home, as a basis for assessment and interventions that will assist caregivers to hang on to hope. Nurses and other health care professionals need to recognize and value the experience of hope for caregivers by addressing, teaching, and reinforcing the sub-processes and ways of hanging on to hope into their practice.

"Saving White Face: Lynching and Counter Hegemonic Lynching Performances," examines American lynching as hegemonic performances constitutive of discursive and material practices that reinforce a cultural fiction, white supremacy. "Lynching studies" is identified as an interdisciplinary academic project that includes lynching history, analysis and (activist) cultural production. Among other approaches, "Saving White Face" uses psychoanalysis and ethnography to unmask lynching as a site where race- and gender-based identities originate. Lynching's "materialities," such as lynching photographs and souvenirs are examined as the bases of American consumer culture, especially as they relate to football and (the) O.J. Simpson (ordeal). This work also documents the production of my Chamber Theater adaptation of Bebe Moore Campbell's 1992 novel, Your Blues Ain't Like Mine (also entitled "Saving White Face"). I also contextualize this counter hegemonic performance as a lynching drama, as well as among radical black feminist activism and blues performance. As such, lynching is identified as an emergent performance practice which not only reinforces white identity, but lynched subjectivities, as well. / text

En adaptionsanalys av hur verket Call Me by Your Name har överförts från roman till film. Uppsatsen fokuserar på hur kärlek och sexualitet mellan män kan adapteras, här genom en jämförelse mellan romanen Call Me by Your Name från 2007 och dess filmatisering från 2017. Adaptionsteoretiska faktorer, såsom berättarperspektiv och filmskaparens urval av scener, används för att belysa hur skildringen överförs mellan medierna. Undersökningen centreras främst till hur adaptionen behandlar homosexuell kärlek.

The diploma thesis deals with the management and security of mobile devices in the enterprise IT. The aim of the work is to familiarize the reader with the issue of enterprise mobility. As enterprise mobility covers a vast area and an important aspect of greatly efficient and secure use of any company's mobile devices is their mobile strategy, the work focuses on the process of creating a mobile security strategy and providing guidelines for its successful implementation. The integration of smart phones into a corporate infrastructure is a complex act. It is necessary to take into account the many safety demands and requirements for interoperability. The issue of mobile enterprise device management and security is very broad. Another part of the work describes various mobile platforms in terms of their suitability for use in the enterprise IT. Operating systems are analyzed in detail from several different points of view. The work provides insight into the market of operating systems and explains the basic security threats to which these systems are exposed and recommends ways of protection against unwanted effects. The final part of the thesis deals with design solutions management and security of mobile devices in the company. On the basis of the requirements set suggests a solution that encompasses deployment of Mobile Device Management device management and security proposes rules for the extension of security policy on mobile device management.

De senaste åren har Finansinspektionen rapporterat nya fall kring penningtvätt där etablerade storbanker har stått i rampljuset i negativ bemärkelse. Rapporterade fall av penningtvätt ökar årligen inom Sverige och detta kan betyda att det finns brister inom det förebyggande arbetet mot penningtvätt eller att banker bland annat, har blivit bättre på att upptäcka penningtvätt. Banker och Finansinspektionen befinner sig på frontlinjen för vårt finansiella system och därför är det väsentligt att dessa aktörer innehar verktyg och metoder för att förhindra penningtvätt som utgör ett hot mot det finansiella system och den allmänna demokratin. Årligen rapporterar Finanspolisen att det tvättas ca 130 miljarder kr inom den svenska ekonomin och att de nuvarande trenderna dessvärre inte pekar på en nedgång. Syftet med denna studie är att bidra till en ökad förståelse kring hur banker arbetar i förebyggande syfte mot penningtvätt och hur de samspelar med Finansinspektionen för att få bukt med denna brottslighet. För att samla in datamaterialet genomfördes totalt sex semistrukturerade intervjuer med anställda från tre storbanker inom Sverige och en intervju med en anställd från Finansinspektionen. Det empiriska resultatet tydliggjorde att bankerna förlitar sig mycket på användningen av interna verktyg som kundkännedom - KYC och att kundkännedom är ett omfattande verktyg som innefattar ett flertal sekretessbelagda element som alla har ett identiskt syfte, att kartlägga och identifiera risker. Slutsatserna visar att det sker ett omfattande arbete i förebyggande syfte mot penningtvätt där banker årligen avsätter miljontals kronor för att göra ett gediget arbete. Det riskbaserade förhållningssättet till regelverken innebär att det fortfarande lämnas utrymme för banker att förbättra sina interna processer i det förebyggande arbetet mot penningtvätt, trots det faktum att det finns en medvetenhet om att brottslingarna ligger steget före. Samtidigt kan detta kompenseras av mer vägledning i de föreskrifter som ges av Finansinspektionen. En annan väsentlig slutsats vi har kommit fram till är att samspelet med Finansinspektionen inte alls fungerar på samma sätt som Finansinspektionen förmedlar att det gör. Den viktigaste delen av detta samarbete gick ut på att tillföra varandra med nya rapporter och föreskrifter, inte att samspela med andra aktörer för att få bukt med penningtvätt. / In the last couple of years, The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority have reported new cases of money laundering where established major banks have been in the limelight in a negative sense. Reported cases of money laundering are increasing annually in Sweden, which indicates that there are shortcomings in the preventive work against money laundering or that banks are better at finding money laundering cases. Banks and The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority are at the forefront of the preventive work against money laundering and therefore it is essential that these organizations possess tools and methods to prevent the emergence of money laundering and identify risks that pose a threat to our financial system and thus to the general democracy. Annually, The Financial Police reports that about SEK 130 billion is laundered in the Swedish economy and that the current trends unfortunately do not point to a decline. The purpose of this study is to contribute to an increased understanding of how banks work in preventive purpose against money laundering. As well as how banks interact with The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority to overcome money laundering. In order to collect the data, a total of six semi-structured interviews were conducted with employees from three established banks within Sweden and one from The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority. The conclusions show that a great deal of work is done in a preventive purpose against money laundering where banks allocate millions of SEK every year to do a solid job. Banks rely heavily on the use of internal tools such as know your customer and internal regulations which is a tool that can be used to get customer awareness. But in practice, the riskbased approach to the regulations means that banks still need to improve their internal processes in the preventive work despite the fact that criminals are considered to be one step ahead. At the same time, this can be offset by more guidance in the regulations that the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority has as a task, to make sure that the banks are following the rules in the market. Another significant conclusion we have reached in the study is that the interaction with The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority does not work at all in the same way that The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority mediates that it does. The most important part of this collaboration was to provide each other with new reports and regulations, and not to interact with other organization such as banks to overcome money laundering.

Las películas de Makoto Shinkai tienen como tema principal las relaciones humanas. Por ello, el desarrollo de sus personajes es elemental para fortalecer la trama y el mensaje que desea dar. Sus protagonistas tienen toda una construcción detrás de ellos que dan sentido a sus acciones, pensamientos y decisiones, incluso cuando existe un claro contraste entre ellos que es tanto físico como psicológico. Esta relación se hace cada vez más cercana con el avance de la historia hasta crear sentimientos afectivos el uno por el otro, pero este vínculo tiene una fecha límite la cual ellos deben enfrentar y demostrar que gracias a ese encuentro han logrado una madurez necesaria para seguir adelante. En esta investigación, se identificará la relación de los personajes principales, su creación, sus contrastes y su separación amorosa en las películas “El jardín de las palabras” (2013) y “Your Name” (2016) de Makoto Shinkai. / Makoto Shinkai’s films have human relationships as their main topic. Therefore, the development of its characters is essential to strengthen the plot and the message that wants to be given to the audience. Its protagonists have a whole character construction behind them that gives meaning to their actions, thoughts, and decisions, even when there is a clear contrast between them that is both physical and psychological. The relationship between the characters becomes more and more intimate as the story progresses, to the point where affective feelings for each other begin to emerge. However, this bond has a deadline that has to be faced in order to demonstrate that, because of their meeting, they have achieved the maturity needed to carry on. In this investigation, the main characters relationship, their creation, their contrasts and the separation of their love will be identified in the films “The Garden of Words” (2013) and “Your Name” (2016) by Makoto Shinkai. / Trabajo de investigación

Purpose: This study aims to examine how digitalization affects risk management procedures within Swedish banks in relation to the implementation of GDPR, PSD2 and KYC. Method: The empirical result is due to semi-structured interviews with four bank representatives from the Swedish bank sector as well as three representatives from the Swedish RegTech industry. The interviews took place in person or via telephone. Empirics and Conclusion: The result shows that digitalization has affected the way Swedish banks handle their risks. New risks have emerged resulting in a more complex environment, where several factors need to be taken into consideration such as operational risks. Depending on the type of bank, different risk strategies have been identified. The bank- and RegTech representatives point out several aspects that need to be improved to make risk management more efficient. This includes increased digital automatization to handle big data more efficiently resulting in more adequate KYC analysis. Lastly the empirical result shows that digital banks together with RegTech companies set the normative standard on how to approach risk management in a digital era. From a new institutional perspective legitimacy is attained when banks conform to present norms within the industry caused by the three types of isomorphism. Where the institutional forces mould, construct and regulate the social structures. Furthermore, nudging can be applied as a tool that banks have been using to adapt to current requirements, by educating their workers and using digital tools to make better decisions. / Syfte: Studien ämnar undersöka hur digitalisering påverkat riskhanteringsprocessen i svenska banker i relation till implementeringen av GDPR, PSD2 och KYC. Metod: Empirin har uppkommit genom semistrukturerade intervjuer genom fyra bankrepresentanter från den svenska banksektorn tillsammans med tre representanter från svenska RegTechbolag. Intervjuerna skedde i person eller via telefon. Empiri och Slutsats: Resultatet visar att den digitalisering som skett inom bankväsendet påverkat bankernas riskhantering. Nya risker har följaktligen uppkommit, vilket resulterat i en mer komplex miljö. Där flera nya faktorer behöver ses över såsom operativa risker. Beroende på typ av bank, har olika riskstrategier identifierats. Bank- och RegTechrepresentanter poängterar att det finns ett flertal förbättringsområden för att effektivisera den nuvarande riskhantering. Detta inkluderar en utökad digital automatisering för att hantera den massiva data som banker dagligen behöver analysera. På så sätt kundkännedomsanalyser förbättrats. Slutligen visar det empiriska resultatet att digitala banker tillsammans med RegTechbolag sätter en normativ standard gällande hur risker skall bemötas i en digital era. Utifrån ett nyinstitutionellt perspektiv, uppnås legitimitet när banker formar sig efter rådande normer orsakat av institutionella krafter. Den likformiga riskhantering som uppstår i industrin kan kopplas till tvingande-, normativ och imiterande isomorfism. Även beteendeinsatser kan utläsas inom bankindustrin för att internt forma och strukturera organisationen efter rådande krav. Detta görs genom digitala riskhanteringsverktyg som förenklar beslutsprocessen samt genom utbildning och kunskap expertis.

Denne bacheloropgave undersøger værdien af indstuderingsmetoder for sangere, hvor stemmen ikke anvendes. Dette indebærer metoder som musikalsk analyse, visualisering og anvendelsen af klaveret. Projektet er baseret på idéen om, at kunne optimere sangerens øvning på trods af begrænset tid eller mulighed for dette. Derfor omhandler et af opgavens hovedpunkter også, hvordan man skaber et fokus i øvningen, som effektiverer den. Dette er baseret på en tankegang om sansefuld øvning, som bl.a. er beskrevet i bøgerne “Passionate Practice” af Margret Elson og “You are your instrument” af Julie Lyonn Lieberman. Det er vigtigt for sangere at tage vare på deres stemme, og sørge for at den ikke overanstrenges. Man kan f.eks. være plaget af sygdom eller stemmetekniske problemer, der gør det svært at øve. Derfor undersøger denne opgave, hvordan man kan komplementere sin fysiske sangøvning med andre metoder, så man stadig kan udnytte tiden bedst muligt. Da jeg selv studerer klassisk sang, er jeg min egen forsøgskanin i dette projekt, og jeg har over en periode på omkring 3 måneder implementeret øvemetoderne i min daglige øvning. Resultatet er derfor således en refleksion over, hvordan jeg har oplevet min øvning, og i diskussionen perspektiverer jeg til nogle af de refleksioner, som Lieberman har beskrevet i sit eget arbejde med øvning. Undervejs i projektet lærte jeg, hvordan den nok vigtigste faktor i min daglige øvning er fokus. Uden fokus – ingen effektiv øvning. Jeg opdagede også, hvor stor en hjælp det er at kunne spille klaver og anvende det til indstuderingsarbejdet af nyt materiale. I diskussionen beskriver jeg en af de interessante opdagelser, jeg gjorde mig i forbindelsen mellem mit analysearbejde og min fysiske sang. Et fænomen som Lieberman også beskriver i sin bog. Selvom man har gjort sig en grundigt stykke analysearbejde, og virkelig sat sig ind i sangen karakter og udtryk, så er det ikke nødvendigvis sådan, at en given følelse, som man prøver at udtrykke, gavner sangteknikken. The aim of this thesis is to describe of the chat application in the virtual reference services from both theoretical and practical point of view. The theoretical part is based on close reading of the mostly foreign literature. The first introductory chapter discusses the terminology and definition of reference services and then virtual reference services, which have not been settled yet. The second chapter deals with chat application. All phases of the chat application are mentioned, from planning through implementation and marketing to the final evaluation of the service. The third chapter is devoted to chat as a specific form of communication with particular focus on its advantages and disadvantages in the library services. The findings of these chapters are used in the analysis of the chosen virtual reference services. The practical part in the fourth chapter constitutes chat in real use, first in foreign libraries, then in Czech libraries as well. The fifth chapter constitutes the main contribution of the practical part. It describes the chat preparation within the Czech cooperative virtual reference service "Ask your library" in the National Library of the Czech Republic, in which the autor of this thesis participated. The conclusion provides a brief summary.
