Portanto, o cuidado deve ser tomado na generaliza??o desses resultados para outros contextos e popula??es / The advancement of mobile technology, with regard to the availability of 3G / 4G and use of devices such as Smartphones and Tablets yielded a new communication phenomenon: BYOD (Bring Your Own Device), is a new business trend, where employees are using their own devices for work purposes. The rapid expansion of BYOD , data security and privacy issues pose significant challenges for organizations. The most common response to these concerns is the adoption of corporate policies governing BYOD. This study aims to analyze the intention of employees to comply with the organization's security policy in the context of BYOD, when employees use their personal devices to access organizational resources to develop work related tasks, inside or outside the organizational environment. Therefore, we will use the Motivation
Theory Protection as theoretical basis. In terms of methodology, this research will be a descriptive and exploratory study with a quantitative approach. Nonrandom will be the type of sampling. For collection, a structured questionnaire, survey type, with a set of measurement items for each construct is applied. The data analysis step is performed by means of descriptive statistics, Exploratory Factor Analysis and Multiple Linear Regression. From a theoretical point of view, the results demonstrate that the PMT model provides a solid theoretical basis for research in this area. However, the results also suggest that this model is affected by contextual factors, and the selection of the sample may influence the importance of the different components of the model. Therefore, caution should be taken in generalizing these results to other settings and populations.

Program "note your money worth": an assessment of its effects on the collection of vat in retail trade cearense / Programa âsua nota vale dinheiroâ: uma avaliaÃÃo dos seus efeitos sobre a arrecadaÃÃo de ICMS no comÃrcio varejista cearenseNathalia Fontenele Silva 08 February 2012 (has links)
nÃo hà / This paper analyzes the impact of the Program âYour Receipt is Worth Moneyâ created by the Department of Finance of the state of CearÃ, to stimulate people to demand receipts when purchasing goods from stores. Thus, the Program tends to increase the collecting of VAT due to the issuing of invoices and, at the same time, lower tax evasion, since at SEFAZ/CE, part of the collection returns to the tax payer registered in the program. The analysis of the effects of the Program âYour Receipt is Worth Moneyâ SEFAZ/CE, on the collection of the State of CearÃ, was performed using linear regression models, and, for this, we used the collection of VAT retail trade, the indices of the volume of retail sales and industrial production. In all models, these ratios were statistically significant and positively affect the collection of VAT retail. In terms of evaluation, it was observed that, in some models, the Program âYour Receipt is Worth Moneyâ has a positive effect on the collection and in others the effect is null-statistically equal to zero.

Regions in time : Gail Anderson-Dargatz’s The cure for death by lightning and Ann-Marie Macdonald’s Fall on your kneesLewis, Tanya 05 1900 (has links)
This thesis examines the methods through which Gail Anderson-Dargatz and Ann-Marie
MacDonald construct region in their novels The Cure for Death by Lightning and Fall on
Your Knees. These texts, like all successful regional novels, describe more than
geography. Their regions are also functions of time. I introduce the term "temporal
region" to describe the spaces created by this interdependence of time and place. I then
focus upon the specifics of descriptive and narrative approach that lead to the convincing
portrayal of the Shuswap and Cape Breton Island in the texts. Anderson-Dargatz and
MacDonald direct attention to the foddways of their regions, expressing the connection
between consumption choices and a society's historical and physical location. The authors
also articulate their regions by highlighting cultural diversity in the areas they describe. In
this way they deny the social homogeneity more sentimental regional texts often rely upon.
Finally, the novelists use an appropriately Canadian method of regional opposition to
define their temporal regions according to that which they are not ~ they are not
American, glamorous, or urban. They therefore must be Canadian, quotidian, and rural. / Arts, Faculty of / English, Department of / Graduate

The Father's Son and the Muvi Star : construction of Identity and Positioning in Call Me by Your Name / En faders son och en Muvi Star : identitetskonstruktion och positionering i Call Me by Your NameStrohschneider, Jette January 2020 (has links)
The aim of the essay is to problematize the main characters' conception of identity in André Aciman's novel Call Me by Your Name. Due to Elio's inability to see himself and Oliver as continuously constructing and shifting bodies, the essay claims that the end of their relationship as they knew it during their summer in Italy was inevitable. By employing a critical discourse analysis and deconstructive approach, the way the characters position themselves during and after that summer is examined and critiqued. It is found that what contributes to the end of their relationship is their struggle with the multitude of aspects of their identities that are considered to be flaws or insufficiencies. Therefore, certain interests and aspects of their lives are kept a secret. In consequence, this secrecy hinders a full understanding of the other and reveals their idealization as wishful thinking, rather than reality.

“Suck it, bitch!” : En komparativ innehållsanalys av rape/revenge-filmerna I Spit on Your Grave från 1978 respektive 2010 / “Suck it, bitch!” : A comparative content analysis of the rape/revenge films I Spit on Your Grave from 1978 and 2010Melchert, Simon, Nylander, Signe January 2022 (has links)
I Spit on Your Grave is a low budget rape/revenge-movie released in 1978, directed by Meir Zarchi. The plot follows Jennifer Hills, who is brutally raped by a group of men and then left for dead. She survives and then proceeds to seek revenge on her rapists. In 2010, a new adaptation was released, with a similar plot and characters, directed by Steven R. Monroe. This study sets out to examine the differences between the portrayal of protagonist Jennifer Hills in the 1978 original and the 2010 version of I Spit on Your Grave. Using qualitative content analysis and a structuralist and semiotic perspective, the study also aims to explore what these differences can tell us about the societies responsible for producing the movies. The theories examined in order to properly answer these questions are mainly feminist film theory derived from acknowledged film theorists and scholars such as Carol Clover and Laura Mulvey. The material analyzed consists of scenes where Jennifer is present, and the results show that Jennifer in 1978 is portrayed in a more feminine manner, heavily influenced by the femme fatale from the 1940’s film noir. She uses her beauty and body to seduce the men in order to kill them, whereas Jennifer in 2010 is portrayed as a woman whose characteristics after the rape transforms into those of a man. In order to get revenge on her rapists, she has to behave more like them. Rather than a beauty, Jennifer is portrayed as a monster. Zarchis' film from the 1970’s seems to reward women behaving and looking like women, while Monroes film from 2010 encourages women to act like men, in order to survive.

Srovnání Ligy polských rodin a Palikotova hnutí v kontextu proměn polské společnosti / Comparison of the League of Polish Families and the Palikot's Movement in the context of changes of Polish societyKlapal, Ondřej January 2014 (has links)
The aim of the diploma thesis "Comparison of the League of Polish Families and the Palikot's Movement in the Context of Changes of Polish Society" was to describe activity of the LPR and the RP, to chararacterize their ideology and to find out whether their policies caused changes in opinions of the Polish society on some social issues (abortion, euthanasia, homosexuality and gay rights and involvement of priest in politics) or not and whether these changes caused gain or loss of the electoral support of both parties or not. The analysis of both parties revealed that the League of Polish Families, which was supported by part of the Roman Catholic Church in elections and was against abortion, euthanasia and strengthening of gay rights, is a populist Catholic far-right party (in the sense of the Cas Mudde's definition), and the Palikot's Movement, later Your Movement, which holds opposite positions, can be defined as a liberal movement with populist elements. The analysis of public opinion surveys revealed that the Polish society has tendencies to more conservative attitude during public debate about controversial issues, no matter if "ultraconservative" or "ultraliberal" party succeeds in elections. The analysis also revealed that change (or preservation) of the opinions of the Polish society did not affect...

Rural Teacher Satisfaction: An Analysis Of Beliefsand Attitudes Of Rural Teachers' Job SatisfactionHuysman, John 01 January 2007 (has links)
The purpose of this research was to understand the beliefs and attitudes of teachers that affect their perceptions of job satisfaction in one small rural Florida school district. Data collected included a self-administered survey of Likert-type items measuring 20 factors for job satisfaction (96% response rate), individual semi-structured interviews, and focus groups. Analysis of the data confirmed prior research suggesting that multiple factors influence job satisfaction. Intrinsic satisfaction factors were the best predictors of overall job satisfaction: security, activity, social service, variety, and ability utilization. Extrinsic factors were most likely to predict overall dissatisfaction: recognition, company policies, opportunities for advancement, co-workers, and compensation. Interviews and focus groups further confirmed how participants projected personal significance onto these factors and how they interacted. The complexity of these interactions stemmed from personal perceptions and values participants placed on individual extrinsic factors and linked those values to other extrinsic factors. Consequently, other extrinsic factors took on perceptions of dissatisfaction based on the original factor. In addition, this research revealed several issues not previously reported in studies of rural teaching. First, "role confusion" emerged as a major source of job dissatisfaction for teachers who were either raised in the community or who had spent a considerable number of years in the community. These teachers often found themselves frustrated at work because of conflicting expectations and perceptions between their professional roles as teachers and their social roles in the community. Second, a high majority of teachers interviewed expressed dissatisfaction because they believed other teachers to have undue influence and power. However, interview data suggested that power was distributed properly but pervasive informal decision making processes led to the widespread perception of favoritism. In addition, teachers often exercised influence because no one opposed them. This study suggests that research to gain a better understanding of the sociology of rural communities needs to be conducted in rural education generally and specifically in rural teacher job satisfaction. Rural teachers' job satisfaction is complexly intertwined with a wide range of factors. Suggested uses for this study include an invitation for rural administrators and teachers to incorporate issues related to job satisfaction into their school improvement and professional development strategies. Addressing the factors influencing rural teacher job satisfaction, which have been previously overlooked, affords rural administrators a new opportunity to positively influence teacher retention, teacher quality, student achievement, and school climate.

Table your story : Ett bord att leva medHorner, Eleonor January 2010 (has links)
In this project I designed a table for the home, that you can live with through the life. It can easily be adapted to different needs and change when the life situation and needs change. The table should feel useful and get added value by telling personal stories and be something you want to keep and preserve. Meanwhile, the table intended to be a starting point to get people to start thinking about their approach to consumption, and which values that are important in their lives, and in the long run reduce the unnecessary consumption.
