Previous issue date: 2014-01-23 / The present study investigated the public consumption of live sporting events inside and outside the scope of stadiums. The main goal of the study was to determine if the fan (supporter), perceives a relation of substitution or complementarity between the favorable attitudes towards attendance at the stadium or at other public places to watch football games. Additionally, the study aimed to investigate the influence of the identification of a sports fan (supporter) with his team in the attitude and public consumption of the spectacle of soccer in the stadium or in other public places, as well as if demographic characteristics (gender and age group) exert some kind of moderating effect on the relationships studied. To address these issues we sought reference in SIT - Social Identity Theory and SCT - Self-Categorization Theory. A survey was conducted, targeting supporters of the four main soccer teams from Rio de Janeiro, through assisted structured interviews. The sample was intentional and of convenience and data collection totaled 507 valid questionnaires. Data analysis was performed in two stages. The first contemplating an exploratory factor analysis, which aimed at the preliminary observation of the quality of the scales. The second stage included a confirmatory factor analysis in order to purify the scales. Convergent, discriminant and nomological reliability and validity of the constructs were evaluated. To test the substantive hypotheses of the study the structural equation modeling technique and multigroup analysis were used. The analysis results allowed empirical support of three out of the five substantial hypotheses. The results suggest that (a) The identification of the fan with the team exerts a positive influence on the attitude towards watching games at the stadium; (b) The favorable attitude of fans towards the stadium exerts a positive influence on the attendance at the stadium; and (c) The favorable attitude of fans towards public places exerts a positive influence on attendance at public places. However, we could not fully support the hypothesis that (d) identification of the fan with the team influences the attitude towards public places; and (e) The attitude of fans towards the stadium influences the attitude towards public places. The moderating effects of gender and age group were also not supported.

Previous issue date: 2009 / The proposal of this dissertation is to understand the psychic aspects that are concerned in the dynamics of a fan club mediated by an idolatry object, taking as reference the Freudian psychoanalytic study. The love on the part of the fan can seem something inexplicable to the first view, however it is of deep importance for who tries it, so much that this fan opts to concentrate in groups returned for the cult of his/her love object, maintaining an identity common with the other participants. In the case the one that refers our research subject, what happens with the fan, it is that when joining the other ones equal that share the feeling of common admiration, is not observed of any promise or possibility of improvement of his/her life or of his/her enlargement. That subject is one of the central of our research, and, for that reason, we will treat of the own process of construction of the groups of fans and in the way of existent relationship among the participant members of the same ones, starting from the analysis of the speech of fans belonging to fan clubs. Therefore, the understanding of that feeling of the fan, so much in the literal sense as in the one of the psychic universe, it evidences, on one side, an imaginary bow that he/she has a private function for the mimicry and, for other, a condition of admiration that makes possible a recognition of the other simbolic. Another parameter of analysis of the fan clubs is the artificial groups analyzed by Freud (1921/1996), where it was verified that the fan club can be identified as a type mass that introduces as much differences as similarities in relation to these groups.

社群商務流量變現過程之關鍵成功因素探討 / The key successful factors of traffic monetizing process in social commerce王孟筠 Unknown Date (has links)
The new economics of platform changes traditional purchase process and reconstructs value chain, giving the market new business rules. Thus, social commerce which emphasize interaction between customers and operators has been widely discussed in recent years. Numerous studies focused on customer behavior in social commerce but barely discussed business operation of social commerce from platform operators’ perspectives. As a result, this study is aim at exploring the traffic monetizing process in social commerce operating.
This study applies case study method, analytic frame is adopted from the Four Phases to Developing Sustainable Virtual Community of Prof. Hagel and Armstrong published in 1998. “JerryWalker” and “Chic KimBlake” on Facebook fanpage are chosen as the research targets. Start by in-person interview with each targeted cases and supplemented by second-hand sources, inspecting the process from solely content operating to social commerce operating, also analyze key successful factors in each phase; moreover, this study will also discuss different types of appeals’ influence in social commerce.
The results of this study shows that “personality”, “community operation” and “product and service” are the three main key factors while building up a successful social commerce. Besides, these three factor correspond to Phase I-generate traffic, Phase- II concentrate traffic, and Phase-III lock in the traffic in order, through this process can monetize community traffic and reach positive network effect. Furthermore, emotional appeals show better effect in social commerce regardless of different kinds of provided product and service.

Faciès, architectures stratigraphiques et dynamiques sédimentaires en contexte de régression forcée glacio-isostatique : la réponse pro- à paraglaciaire des complexes deltaïques de la Côte Nord de l'Estuaire et du Golf du Saint-Laurent (Québec, Canada) / Faciès, stratigraphic architecture and sedimentary dynamics in glacio-isostatically forced-regression : the pro- to paraglacial response of the deltaic complexes of the North Shore of the St. Lawrence Estuary and Gulf (Québec, Canada)Dietrich, Pierre 01 December 2015 (has links)
The North Shore of the St. Lawrence Estuary and Gulf is characterized by the presence of deltaic complexes that were emplaced under falling Relative Sea Level (RSL) forced by the glacio-isostatic rebound, immediately after the retreat of the Laurentide Ice Sheet (LIS) margin. The study of three deltaic complexes reveals that a common morphostratigraphic evolution forced by the retreat of the LIS prevailed for the edification of these structures, reflecting the retreat of the LIS margin. The emplacement of subaqueous outwash fans beyond the retreating or stillstanding glaciomarine margin constitutes the first stage of this evolution. As tied to the ice-margin position, these fans are characterized in places by a backstepping stacking pattern, in spite of the forced regressive setting. From the emergence of a continental ice front, the proglacial deltaic system develops and forms lobes staged accordingly to the RSL fall. These deltaic systems actively prograde at that time because they are fed in glaciogenics by the retreating LIS margin through braided meltwater streams. In spite of the RSL fall reaching several centimeters per years, no fluvial entrenchment occurs mainly owing to the significant amount of sediment supply. Later, when the LIS margin retreats from the drainage basins of feeding rivers, fluvial systems experience a drastic drop in sediment supply that forced the interruption of the deltaic progradation and the onset of paraglacial reworking. The paraglacial reworking consists in the entrenchment of a meandering fluvial system within former deltaic deposits and shows the prevalence of shallow-marine processes (waves, tides) at the delta rim (raised beaches, marine terraces). This study reveals that the bulk of the deltaic volume (c.a. 10-20 km3) for each complex was emplaced in only a few thousands of years following the LIS margin retreat when the latter was still located in the drainage basin. The paraglacial reworking had a minor influence on the deltaic accretion. A forward stratigraphic model (Dionisos) is used to validate the variety of forcing as understood from the sedimentary analysis. A synthesis including 21 deltaic complexes of the St. Lawrence North Shore allowed the establishment of a fourfold categorization. This scheme of deltaic evolution was used in order to refine the position of the LIS margin retreating upland for a period ranging from 12 to 7.5 ka cal BP.

Study and design of new multibeam antenna architectures in Ku and Ka bands for broadband satellite applications / Étude de nouvelles architectures d'antennes multifaisceaux en bande Ka pour les télécommunications par satellite à très haut débitDiallo, Cheikh-Dieylar 19 December 2016 (has links)
Multi-beam antennas (MBAs) are crucial to modern and future, civilian and military satellite telecommunications applications. The low part of the electromagnetic spectrum is congested, while wide band of frequencies are available in the Ka-band, in which broadband missions have emerged in the last decade. The trend is reducing the size of spots in multi-beam coverage to reduce the cost of satellites, hence more electrically large antennas are needed, with major technological breakthrough as a consequence. Luneburg lenses in parallel-plate waveguide (PPW) are attractive solutions to excite MBAs, since they could lead to wide band and field-of-view, low loss and cost, easy to design, manufacture and accommodate Beam Forming Networks. This PhD deals with the development of novel implementations and the design of broadband, low loss and wide field-of-view Luneburg lens based MBAs. The implementation of the Luneburg lens is known as a major technological challenge. A state-of-the art of the implementation techniques is presented. Then two novel implementations of Luneburg lens in PPW environment are proposed, like design method, process and tools. The first implementation consists of a periodic and regular array of subwavelength vertical metal posts, where the PPW spacing is variable. The post height and PPW spacing modulate the equivalent refractive index. The all-metal 9-beams antenna designed, manufactured and measured, has 8314 posts and shows excellent performances, better than the traditional constant PPW spacing version. The second implementation consists of periodic and regular array of subwavelength circular holes etched on the copper cladding of a dielectric substrate with an air gap between the holes plane and the PPW top plate. The radius of the holes control the equivalent index. The 5-beams antenna designed has 2696 holes and shows very good performances as compared to similar devices in literature.

Etude et sauvegarde de la consommation énergétique dans un environnement simple et multi-processeurs : comprendre combien peut être sauvegardé et comment y arriver sur des systèmes modernes / Energy Characterization and Savings in Single and Multiprocessor Systems : understanding how much can be saved and how to achieve it in modern systemsTriquenaux, Nicolas 18 September 2015 (has links)
Over the past decade, processors have drastically reduced their power consumption. With each new processor generation, new features enhancing the processor energy efficiency are added. However, the demand for energy reductiontechniques has never been so high. Indeed, with the increasing size of high performance machines, their power and energy consumptions have grown accordingly. They have reached a point where they have to be reduced by all possible means.Current processors allow an interesting feature, they can change their operating frequency at run-time. As granted by transistor physics, lower frequency means lower power consumption and hopefully, lower energy consumption. This thesisinvestigates to which extent this processor feature, called DVFS, can be used to save energy. First, a simple machine is analyzed to have a complete understanding of the different power consumers and where optimizations can be focused. It will be demonstrated that only fans and processors allow run-time energy optimizations. Betweenthe two, the processor shows the highest consumption, therefore potentially exposing the higher potential for energy savings. Second, the power consumption of a processor depends on the applications being executed. However, there are as many applications as problems to solve. The focus is then put on applications to understand their impacts on energy consumption. Based on the gathered insights, multiple tools targeting energy savings on a single processor are created. REST, the most naive, tries to adapt the processor state to the stress generated by the application, hoping for energy reduction. The second, UtoPeak, computes the maximum energy reduction one can expect for any tool usingDVFS. It allows to evaluate the efficiency of such systems. The last one, FoREST, was created in order to correct all the flaws of REST and target maximum energy reduction. Last, scientific applications generally need more than one processor to be executed in a decent time. The thesis also presents a first attempt to compute a lower bound in energy reduction when considering this new execution context

Rockový fanoušek jako příjemce marketingové komunikace / Rock Fan as a Recipient of Marketing CommunicationPalounek, Martin January 2015 (has links)
This thesis is primarily focused on collecting insights regarding rock music fan that can be applied to marketing communication. Its main aim is to describe how the rock fans are different from the major population in terms of descriptive characteristics, values, opinions and lifestyle. The points of parity and the points of difference are investigated on the level of rock sub-genres. The message, symbolism and main ideas present in rock music are examined, including historical and social context leading to the formation and development of the genre. We also tried to assign a specific archetype to rock and its sub-genres. We assume that rock fans are in some ways different from the rest of the population and that we are able to observe the differences on the level of sub-genres. However, we also expect that there are some points of parity symptomatic for all the rock genres. We suppose that artists and music marketers approach marketing communication mostly from the point of their own intuition and that they frequently use symbolism, historical references and archetypes in their way of communication. The research is comprised of three parts. First part is the analysis of secondary data from MML-TGI database by Median Research Company for year 2013. Used methodology: General analysis and cross analysis. The objective of the analysis was to determine differences between genres and subgenres in terms of descriptive characteristics, value system and verdicts about lifestyle. The next part of the research was the content analysis of notable rock album front covers for the purpose of deeper exploration of rock symbols. The last part of the research is comprised of interviews with music industry professionals who shared their opinion regarding genre characteristics, fans and marketing communication in real life.

This dissertation proposes an analysis of a series phenomenon through the concept of world series developed in television and film. Our object of analysis is Xena: Warrior Princess (Syndication 1995-2001), a television series from the 1990s known in the contemporary era for the phenomenon of fandom created around the series and characters Xena and Gabrielle. The series of the late 1990s are part of an era of transition, where digital and narratives mutations come together in the creation of dense and complex objects. We will try to draw a parallel between the structure of a television series and its reception, both of which are based on a logic of densification, to be observed in different forms: extension, continuity, and derivation, as well as on two levels: the text of Xena and the fandom of Xena. The diegetic analysis of the series will allow us to establish the conception and origins of the series as something dense and complex that invites and suggests a plurality of interpretations. Spectators/fans invest time and effort in the show in a variety of ways to produce rich and varied interpretations and fandom content. Defining a serial phenomenon would therefore take us back to examining the correlation of: producer, text, fans, and context, which allows this expansion of the series in multiple directions. The analysis of Xena: Warrior Princess around a logic of densification will allow us to better understand certain phenomena of fandom around contemporary series.

Mateřská školka / KidsgardenKuttelwascherová, Kristína January 2018 (has links)
This diploma thesis is a project of a two-storey building of a Kindergarten. The building will be used for educating preschool children. On the ground floor, there are two base classrooms, one in each wing of the building. Each classroom has several zones (relaxing, playing, creating). Each classroom also has its own dressing room, washroom + toilets. On the ground floor, we can also find facilities for teachers and the principal office. Since finished food will be delivered, the building only contains a food preparation facility + dry storage. The second floor is accessible either by stairs or by elevator. On the second floor, there is another base classroom with its own dressing room and a washroom with toilet. Food is transported from the first floor by elevator, which is not designed for transporting people. On the second floor, there is also the teacher´s base + large social hall for occasional events. The kindergarten building has an atypical layout. The building is partly roofed by a flat roof and partly by a gabled roof. The project was processed using the computer program AutoCAD. During processing, emphasis was placed on the correct layout, architectural design and safe use of the building.
