The environment is considered a hybrid resource since it has a real portion (industrial network) and a simulated one (process) with all measurement and control signals also real. It is possible to reproduce different industrial process dynamics without being required any physical network modification, enabling simulation of some situations that exist in a real industrial environment. This feature testifies the environment flexibility. In this work, a distillation column is simulated through HYSYS R with all its variables measured and controlled by Foundation Fieldbus devices / O principal objetivo deste trabalho ? desenvolver um ambiente que permite a comunica??o do simulador de processos qu?micos HYSYS R com medidores e atuadores de uma rede industrial Foundation Fieldbus. Podpora webových služeb v prostředí .NET framework / Web services support in the .NET framework

Fischer, Roman January 2008 (has links)
The work targets the very important part of service oriented architecture -- web services. It is focused at one of its practical implementation, from the Microsoft Corporation, especially in the last two releases of .NET Framework. The main target of this work is comprehensive summary and demonstration of Microsoft web services development. The principles of web services and their base in the .NET Framework are described here. At the beginning of this work the web services are put into the scope of service oriented architecture and their main principles are described. Subsequently the .NET Framework is explained with its main principles and with the comparison to the JAVA technology. This part is finished with the explanation of classic ASMX web services. The main part of this work focuses at detailed description of the theoretical and practical aspects of web services in the Windows Communication Foundation and the Windows Workflow Foundation context. Even the development of Windows Forms application is not left out, because they also have done a large progress and they are often consumers of web services. The options of securing web services in the .NET Framework are shown both theoretically and practically including authentication and authorization. The methods of transactional behavior are shown too. The work also focuses at the orchestration of web services including the explanation of workflows with the deployment example. At the end of the work there is revealed how to guarantee interoperability with other technologies, how to manage web services and how to ensure their versioning.

Blast-Induced Liquefaction and Downdrag Development on a Micropile Foundation

Lusvardi, Cameron Mark 14 December 2020 (has links)
Frequently, deep foundations extend through potentially liquefiable soils. When liquefaction occurs in cohesionless soils surrounding a deep foundation, the skin-friction in the liquefied layer is compromised. After cyclical forces suspend and pore pressures dissipate, effective stress rebuilds and the liquefied soil consolidates. When the settlement of the soil exceeds the downward movement of the foundation, downdrag develops. To investigate the loss and redevelopment of skin-friction, strain was measured on an instrumented micropile during a blast-induced liquefaction test in Mirabello, Italy. The soil profile where the micropile was installed consisted of clay to a depth of 6m underlain by a medium to dense sand. The 25cm diameter steel reinforced concrete micropile was bored to a depth of 17m. Pore pressure transducers were placed around the pile at various depths to observe excess pore pressure generation and dissipation. Soil strain was monitored with profilometers in a linear arrangement from the center of the 10m diameter ring of buried explosives out to a 12m radius. Immediately following the blast, liquefaction developed between 6m and 12m below ground. The liquefied layer settled 14cm (~2.4% volumetric strain) while the pile toe settled 1.24cm under elastic displacement. The static neutral plane in the pile occurred at a depth of 12m. From 6m to 12m below ground, the incremental skin-friction was 50% compared to pre-liquefaction measurements. The decrease in residual skin-friction is consistent with measurements observed by Dr. Kyle Rollins from previous full-scale tests in Vancouver, BC, Canada, Christchurch, New Zealand, and Turrel, Arkansas.

Improving Extensibility and Maintainability of Industry Foundation Classes with Role-oriented Modeling

Klaude, Martin 25 February 2021 (has links)
Nowadays, digitalization supports and even improves more and more areas such as educa- tion and healthcare. Actually, areas like the building industry benefit from those advantages as well. Pencil drawings have been replaced by feature-rich 3D models with the help of computer-aided design (CAD) software. Moreover, models of buildings became increasingly “smarter” by appending additional information – which is widely known as Building Infor- mation Modeling (BIM). Yet, the most-used data modeling standard – Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) – has shortcomings regarding maintainablity and extensibility. Therefore, this thesis focuses on improving these aspects with the help of role-oriented modeling. A motivating introduction will mark the beginning by familiarizing the idea of BIM, proposing the methodology and the research questions for this thesis, and elaborating on the status quo. Afterwards, a deeper understanding of IFC and its core problems will set the basis for the development of a solution to the identified deficiencies. Prior to that, the basics in role-oriented modeling will be explained. Consequently, the developed role-oriented so- lution – namely Industry Foundation Classes with Roles (IFC-R) – will be introduced, followed by a comparison of IFC and IFC-R in order to prove its effects. This will be supported by an evaluation of the comparison, which leads to the conclusion of this thesis and a brief outlook for future research.:1. Introduction 2.
