L'icône, porteuse d'Évangile : étude comparative de la portée de l'icône en théologie orthodoxe et de l'Écriture Sainte en théologie occidentale / The icon, bearer of the Gospel : comparative study of the significance of the icon for the orthodox theology and of the Holy Scripture for the occidental theology

Dobre, Emanuel 18 December 2015 (has links)
This work provides an approach to the icon starting from the notion of « Gospel ». An analysis of the importance of the Holy Scripture in the western theology allows us to present the Gospel as the Good News of the salvation accomplished by Christ for the humankind. The Gospel is conveyed to the human being in his daily life through various means. These means are mediations taken from the creation and they become grace bearers through their very corporeity. Following an analogy with the role and the importance given to the Holy Scripture throughout different Christian traditions, the icon is described as a « Gospel bearer ». The icon and the Scripture are both a form of the word and they can both be recognized, through faith, as a form of the Word of God. Besides being vectors of grace, the icon and the Scripture share other common characteristics: the corporeity, some amount of relativity, the correct proclamation in the church only, and the witness of the event of the Incarnation.

Karl Barth: um chamado cristão a desobediência civil

Barth had his theological education guided by the primary matrix of theological liberalism. During the First World War, however, before the calamity that has taken place, Barth became disenchanted with the liberal Protestant horizon, with its modern worldview, his theology and his immanentist utopia of social redemption grounded in belief in the progress of reason. The result was the rapprochement of Barth with classical Reformed tradition and the emergence of a theological approach that rescues principles of Christian orthodoxy and updates them with elements of modernity, namely the neo-orthodoxy. However, with the transcendent criterion not reason or aesthetics, but the Word of God attested in Scripture, and Jesus, understood as the incarnation of God as a hermeneutical key. The object of the dissertation, in its material dimension, is the Declaration of Barmer, and in its formal dimension, Barthian theology. The dissertation aims to analyze the historical and political conditions that favored the accession of the German Evangelical Church to the Nazis, and the correlation of positive theological presuppositions of Christianity with the liberal Protestantism. The course in research allows us to conclude that whenever theology loses a sense of the transcendent character and extraordinary revelation, human words are taken as divine. And this is not no harm to the Christian faith. Barth's theology provides a great service by emphasizing the transcendence of God's Word to all human words. Despite dialectically to use them to communicate, it transcends them and puts them into crisis, because it is perfect and eternal as the theologies, philosophies, ethics and policies are imperfect and incomplete. Therefore, the Christian community should be aware that if he wants to be faithful to her calling, she can never align itself automatically to any creed or political party and ideology, but to the Gospel / Karl Barth (1886 1968), natural da Basiléia, Suíça, foi um pastor e teólogo reformado de expressão exponencial.

A celebração da Palavra de Deus à luz do Vaticano II: elementos restaurados, fonte de fé e mistério pascal de Cristo / The celebration of the Word of God in the light of Vatican II: restored elements, source of faith and paschal mystery of Christ

No. of bitstreams: 1 André Luiz Massaro.pdf: 1182391 bytes, checksum: 806f451c2b14225fb2ec75d44f529191 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2017-12-15 / The purpose of the present work was to reflect on the celebration of the Word of God restored by the Second Vatican Council, pointing out its various celebratory modalities that can be celebrated by families as a source of supply and growth in the Christian faith, based on knowledge and appreciation of elements rescued with the liturgical reform of Vatican II and that are explicit in the Constitution Sacrosanctum Concilium. In this sense, an attempt was made to make a historical rescue on all the work of the conciliar priests of Vatican II, who took the liturgy of the Church to a movement of return to its biblical and patristic sources. Thus, through applied research, it is noted that the Celebration of the Word of God does not exist to heal the lack of ordained ministers and / or in turn to replace the difficulty of the Celebration of the Eucharist. It has its own peculiar characteristics and can lead the baptized to a deeper degree of evangelization. From the theological method of seeing, judging and acting, we sought to demonstrate the full range of elements extolling the liturgy of the Word of God celebrated by the communities in chapels, churches, balconies, factories, houses and in the most improvised places imaginable, but which must be celebrated in an active, full and conscious way, achieving fruitful participation in life. The proposal is provocative and in order to achieve its objectives requires study, knowledge and fidelity to the Sacred Liturgy of the Church, enabling the lay protagonism; a coalition with a temptation of Church-clericalism; leading the laity to live their vocation of salt of the earth and light in the world on the frontiers of mission: a Samaritan and outgoing Church / O presente trabalho teve, como objetivo, refletir sobre a Celebração da Palavra de Deus restaurada pelo Concílio Vaticano II, apontando suas diversas modalidades celebrativas que podem ser celebradas pelas famílias como uma fonte de abastecimento e crescimento na fé cristã, a partir do conhecimento e valorização de elementos resgatados com a reforma litúrgica do Vaticano II e que estão explícitos na Constituição Sacrosanctum Concilium.

Vie chrétienne et handicap : prescriptions canoniques et orientations pastorales / Christian life and disability : canonical prescriptions and pastorals guidances

Buyssechaert, Anne 15 April 2015 (has links)
Along with international law and the law of many countries, canon law does not ignore people with disabilities. It guarantees a certain extent their rights and duties regarding access to the Word of God and participation in the life of the Church. This is reflected in particular in legal rules for access to the sacraments of initiation and healing. Pastoral practice applies the law and feeds it. It is based on the Bible, especially on the attitude of Christ. It also draws on theological reflection on disability, which develops in recent decades, and collaborates with movements and associations which bring together people with disabilities and their close relations. Bishops from different countries sometimes give pastoral guidelines to foster always more the participation of people with disabilities in the Church, and the full realization of their baptismal vocation. The identity of the Church is at stake. Beyond the purely legal aspect of non-discrimination, the Church is really the body of Christ only when every faithful with disability really holds a role commensurate with its capabilities.

Tajemství Vtělení v díle Jana od Kříže jako ozvěna janovské christologie / The Incarnation Mystery in the writings of John of the Cross as a reverberation of Johannine Christology

Hlaváčová, Marie January 2019 (has links)
The Incarnation Mystery in the writings of John of the Cross as a reverberation of Johannine Christology. This thesis analyzes the mystery of Incarnation in the mystical experience and doctrine of John of the Cross, a Spanish Carmelite from 16th century, and searches for traces of the testimony of the Fourth Gospel in his conception of this mystery. Based on analysis of excerpts of his writings it concludes that the mystery of Incarnation has crucial role both in his experience and his writings. It consists in the fact that Jesus - the Word incarnate - is a principal agent in the process of uniting with God: He is both a model for a Christian to shape him or herself after and a beloved Spouse with whom he or she should be united and so enter a loving communion with Father and Son and the Holy Spirit. The main work which reveals how much John of the Cross esteems the mystery of Incarnation is a poetic paraphrase of the Gospel of John: Romance based on the Gospel »In principio erat verbum«. It depicts author's view of the incarnational mystery as a dialogue between Father and Son in eternity. The Incarnation is seen as nuptials of the Word incarnate and humankind which elevates humankind to the God's level. By extension, humankind gains participation on the relationship between Father and Son. The...

[pt] A IMPORTÂNCIA DA HOMILIA NO CULTO LITÚRGICO E O SEU PROLONGAMENTO NA EXISTÊNCIA HUMANA / [en] THE IMPORTANCE OF THE HOMILY IN LITURGICAL WORSHIP AND ITS CONTINUATION IN HUMAN EXISTENCE

EUFRAZIO LUIZ MORAIS DA SILVA 28 September 2021 (has links)
[en] The aim of this research is to study the homily as an integral part of liturgical-sacramental celebrations, whose paradigm is the Eucharistic celebration. Thus, the Sacred Scriptures are decisive in the context of the sacred liturgy because the biblical texts are obtained from them to be proclaimed and commented on in the homily. It, in turn, renews the wonders wrought by God in the history of salvation through the power of the Spirit, making them present in the today of the Church, projecting it to future realities. It is up to the homilet to draw from the Word of God the saving message for preaching and to interpret it to lead the liturgical assembly into the sacred mysteries. In the same way, as the rediscovery of the Word of God was fundamental in the liturgical celebration held by the Second Vatican Council, the Paschal character of the homily must be recovered. For this reason, the Church presents lectio divina as a genuine method of prayer in order to prepare and extend the Scriptures in human existence. In this regard, the Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium has the merit of recovering the homily as an authentic dialogue between God and his people with words that enlighten and inflame their hearts.

The sacramentality of the Word : through the lens of the annunciation to Mary

Genig, Joshua Dale January 2012 (has links)
This thesis seeks to demonstrate that, in failing to take the sacramentality of the Word seriously, the preaching of the Church has suffered negative consequences. In short, preaching has often become, at best, a form of instruction or, at worst, an incantation of sorts, rather than an integral part of deepening our relationship with Christ by functioning sacramentally to bring about divine participation with Jesus' corporeal humanity in his living Word. Moreover, this trouble has had a profoundly negative effect on my own Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod due, in part, to our Reformation heritage as Christians who believe, teach, and confess the sole authority and divine inspiration of Holy Scripture. Yet, what has been lost over the past 500 years since the Reformation began is the reality of Christ's ongoing corporeal presence in and for the Church, particularly as he is present in the viva vox of preaching. In order to recover that reality, I propose that one should consider the annunciation to Mary where, with a sermon of sorts, the corporeal Christ took up residence in the flesh of his hearer. In addition to granting Mary a son, however, this tangible presence of Jesus also delivered to her precisely what was contained within his own flesh: the fullness of the Godhead (Col 2:9). When understood as a biblical paradigm for the Church, it becomes clear that what happened to Mary can, indeed, happen to Christians of the present day. To that end, I propose that preaching today, when understood sacramentally, can deliver the fullness of the person of Christ, who continues to come in corporeality, with humanity and divinity, in the viva vox of preaching.
