Dynamisk webbprogrammering : Varför väljer systemutvecklande organisationer ASP.NET? / Dynamic Web Programming : Why Do System Developing Organizations Choose ASP.NET?

Blom, Jan, Ljung, Jörgen January 2004 (has links)

/
In our research we have studied dynamical Web programming with the latest technology from Microsoft, ASP.NET. The purpose of the study is to find out why system developing organizations have introduced ASP.NET, what expectations of the technology they have and which development tools they use. We have worked according to a hermeneutical approach in order to get a qualitative understanding and a comprehensive view. We have chosen semi structured interviews for data acquisition and for analyze we have chosen an adapted variant of Grounded Theory.

Our result shows that some reasons to why the organizations in the study have introduced ASP.NET are that they will be in the frontline regarding the use of new technologies. They also feel that there is an expectation of them to use and know the latest of development technologies. There weren’t much explicit expectations of ASP.NET during the introduction. All of the organizations in the research used Microsoft Visual Studio.NET as development tool, because it is a powerful tool. The license agreement with Microsoft and its dominance on the market has also influenced them.

Some of our conclusions are that the organizations could have some competitive advantages if they introduce ASP.NET. System integration will be easier, which can attract new groups of customers. The possibilities to structure in the programming will make projects easier to plan and the maintaining of systems will be simpler.

Pettersson, Eric, Kastebo, Jonas January 2006 (has links)

This is a degree work, connected to the education Media and Communication engineering at the University of Linköping, and is made for TEFK a furnishing company in Sjövik. The purpose of this degree project is to create a visual identity and to develop a databasedriven website. The goal was to clarify the visual identity and to build an appealing website that could be administrated by the company. They had a need to present their products and to let their customers be able to order directly through their website. The website also had to serve as a part of the marketing by informing the visitors about the company.

The result became a website developed in ASP.NET that presents the company and its products and lets the costumers place orders. Further they now have an interface for easy management of the website and its content. The company has guidelines on how to produce graphical content. On the basis of these guidelines we produced a new businesscard and document templates for common communication.

In the end both we and the company are very satisfied with the result with this degree project. This thesis describes the work that has been done.

Webbplattform för statusrapportering på Sandvik IT

Homainik, Arian January 2009 (has links)

Finding Malformed Html Outputs And Unhandled Execution Errors Of Asp.net Applications

Ozkinaci, Mehmet Erdal 01 May 2011 (has links) (PDF)
As dynamic web applications are becoming widespread nearly in every area, ASP.NET is one of the popular development languages in this domain. The errors in these web applications can reduce the credibility of the site and cause possible loss of a number of clients. Therefore, testing these applications becomes significant. We present an automated tool to test ASP.NET web applications against execution errors and HTML errors that cause displaying inaccurate and incomplete information. Our tool, called Mamoste, adapts concolic testing technique which interleaves concrete and symbolic executions to generate test inputs dynamically. Mamoste also considers page events as inputs which cannot be handled with concolic testing. We have performed experiments on a subset of an heavily used ASP.NET application of a government office. We have found 366 HTML errors and a faulty component which is used almost every ASP.NET page in this application. In addition, Mamoste discovered that a common user control is misused in several generated pages.

.Net-baserat konsulthanteringssystem / .Net based Consultant Management System

Björklund, Patrik, Dahlgren, Tobias, Wilhelmson, Marcus January 2010 (has links)

The students have been assigned a task from Consid, were they are supposed to develop a web based platform for handling the company’s consult CV:s. The key features of the system are to simplify the administration part at mission procurements towards customers and to match qualified consultants to certain missions.Consid is an international it-consult company and have about 1000 consults working for them. When Consid makes mission procurements towards a customer they have to manually match the best consult against a certain mission, this is both time consuming and complicated. The students started the project with big visions and thoughts about how the work would be performed and how the system would be developed. After the initial meetings and the closer it came to the beginning of programming it became clear that the expectations were too big. This is the biggest lesson learned during the project and something that has come to influence the rest of the development. The students have been compelled to learn a totally new way of structuring the code by the three tier architecture. They have also been able to get a deeper understanding of how system development is performed by companies. Before the project begun the students and the company made a requirement specification for the system. The goals for the system and early limitations were made. Along the project those goals and limitations have been changed. The report handles the work with the development and read up on problems and solutions. It ends with a discussion and is summarized so the reader gets a better picture of the system and the work around it.

Publiceringsfunktion i .NET

Wigholm, Johan January 2006 (has links)

Projektet resulterade i två olika saker:

Nygren, Robert, Johansson, Martin January 2006 (has links)

INVID Jönköping AB is an IT-consultant company. They are a part of the INVID-group that employ about 140 people and are represented in ten different locations in Sweden. INVIDs business areas include development and customization of web applications. The company has been developing a web publishing tool, INVID Publisher.NET. Small- and medium sized companies are offered hosting of a complete web portal/platform with Content Management System/Customer Relationship Management (CMS/CRM) functionality. Customers can manage the content published on web pages. They can choose among a set of templates were there are modules for example text/html and news. To find the right template for the purpose can be a difficult task for the customer.

The purpose of our report is to an answer two main questions:

• How to develop modules for DotNetNuke?

• What is the foundation for the architecture and structure of DotNetNuke?

Our goal was to create modules with the programming language VB.NET and server technology ASP.NET. We would take advantage of the DotNetNuke web application framework for developing modules that offer the customer a way to easily and effectively build new web pages with INVID Publisher .NET. The starting point for the module we have developed is based on analysis of former existing module that INVID AB was not comfortable with. We analysed and discussed the problems that the old module constituted. During the development of the module we also received feedback on our work from our tutor on INVID and other members of the development team.

Our work has lead to a template module were the customer can create new web pages based on templates and also create new templates. INVID and we also consider our module to be graphically well designed.

In the future it’s possible to further develop our module to a great extent because we have followed the principles of DotNetNuke and have written program code that is object-oriented, reusable, and extensible and is based on good programming principles and prominent design patterns.
/

Company Communication System for Customers and Dealers

Obyn, Renaat, Callens, Nele January 2007 (has links)

This thesis, that comes together with an extranet and internet site programmed in ASP.NET 2.0, has been written in the context of our final project on bachelor level in association with the School of Engineering – Jönköping University.

We had the choice to think of a project on our own or to work in association with a company. As the Belgian company Induma came with this idea, we decided to work this project out.

Our project has got the name ‘Company Communication System for Customers and Dealers’. Besides the front-end and back-end internet site, it will also include a system for customers and dealers, extranet site. So the site will get more interactive and there will be more online transactions possible.

We would like to thank the School of Engineering – Jönköping University, KATHO – VHTI and our parents to get the chance to experience studying abroad. We would also like to thank the company Induma for their cooperation and our Belgian and Swedish supervisors K. Deseyne and M. Schoultz for their guidance and help.

Web Services : A Comparative Study

Ekelund, Marcus, Larsson, Andreas January 2004 (has links)

This Master thesis enhances an existing library search system with a new dynamic web interface and introduces the ability to perform remote searches by using Web Services. The remote search functionality also includes the ability to compress SOAP-messages, this functionality is optional. The system is implemented using the Microsoft.NET Framework with Visual Studio C#. A library needs to store information about articles and we have chosen to use a Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere database.

The practical part of this thesis describes the architecture of our implementation and the design process.

The theoretical part is a comparative study between dynamically created web pages and static pages, SOAP-compression versus no compression, SOAP-optimization versus no optimisation and the use of Web Services locally versus local classes.

Aktiesammanställare med teknisk analys och simulation / Stock collector with technical analysis and simulation

Gustavsson, Josef January 2013 (has links)
Websites today only offer simpler form of technical analysis and are not fun to use, therefore student decided to build a website that makes technical analysis a bit more fun by giving user possibility to experiment with settings for technical indicators and also see clear visible results from analysis. Student decided to build website in ASP.NET. Technical indicators for this project only consist of those who give buy and sell-signals via cross-over, no divergence or pattern finding. This project has three questions that define this project. It’s important that there is good functionality so that performing an analysis is perceived as simple, one question is therefore; what functionality for website is needed in order for analysis to be perceived as more simple?Technical analysis is a pretty complex subject and demands an interface that is perceived as easy to understand and easy to use, it’s therefore important that the interface is well designed, second question is therefore; how should the interface be designed to be user-friendly?When systems grow large they often become hard to develop and later on unmaintainable because of the accumulated complexity and dependency between classes, the code is a mess, the last question is therefore; how can the systems complexity be eased with object-oriented design principles?Jakob Nielsens ten heuristics for User Interface Design were used as inspiration for designing the interface for the website. The system design follows SOLID principles, some pattern-design were also used because pattern-design often fulfills SOLID principles or makes for pretty good solutions in regular code-problems.At the beginning of the project the student did a small research to find out what was needed in order to complete project. Work-method for project follows agile development where decisions were made on a weekly basis. The project was divided into three phases where each phase was strongly coupled to a specific area of responsibility. Prototypes for interface were made and used as a basis for the resulting interface. The project led to a working website with good functionality. Filter was considered as important in order to ease shaping of analysis because the user could more easily sort and pick stock. The student assumed that the user would want fast and easy access to their stock so portfolio management were implemented so that user could more easily get to stock that was considered as favorites. The interface follows to a big extent Jakob Nielsens ten heuristics for User Interface Design and is proven by comparing interface with principles. The same goes for design of the system, design is proven by comparing with principles, still to this day system is considered easy to continue development.Student made the conclusion that SOLID principles were very important in order for the system to maintain its health and took experience from these principles. Student became happy with the interface but more focus could’ve been given for a more interactive interface because it might’ve been perceived as more intuitive.
