Com essa perspectiva, este trabalho propõe um mergulho na biblioteca particular de Raimundo Jinkings, jornalista, dirigente sindical, militante comunista e livreiro, personagem de destaque na história política do Pará ao longo de quatro décadas, a partir dos anos 50. A pesquisa pretende contribuir para os estudos sobre a história do livro no Pará, à luz de pressupostos teóricos. Também vai identificar os rastros das leituras de um homem na sua vida como ativista político, comparando textos e apontando elementos que tornam indissociáveis o leitor e seus livros. / The history of books and readers in Brazil has been object of several researches in brazilian universities, guided for interests in writing and reading practices from the colony times to contemporary era. This study is about a private library, the Raimundo Jinking’s collection, and its meaning for a historical time, as well as for a man and his family, offering a remarkable view into a communist leader’s intellectual formation through his extensive lectures. It also demonstrates the importance of books as a path for political activism and ideological construction by providing a journalistical production and, last but not least, preserving in vivid ways the ideas and memory of the collector.

A pesquisa tem como base a Gramática Sistêmico-Funcional, proposta por Halliday (1994), e o estudo sobre o Estilo Comunicativo do HPEG estudado por Albuquerque (1999). A proposta deste trabalho é investigar as escolhas léxico-gramaticais veiculadas nos discursos políticos para observar como o falante constrói as suas experiências de mundo nesses textos ao fazer suas escolhas no sistema de transitividade e de que maneira os tipos de mensagens do Estilo Comunicativo do HPEG se revelam na materialidade do texto. Comprovou-se que os políticos constroem as suas experiências de mundo mais por meio dos processos do ‘fazer’ e do ‘ser’. Essas escolhas são usadas como estratégias de persuasão, posto que, expressam a plataforma de trabalho do candidato e as ações já desenvolvidas em prol da comunidade. Elas também indicam as qualidades e capacidades do candidato, com o propósito de construir uma imagem que agrade ao eleitor. / This study analyses fifty speeches produced for television during Horário Político Eleitoral Gratuito (HPEG) of the elections of 2002 in the state of Pará. The theoretical background lays on the Systemic-Functional Grammar of Halliday (1994) and the study about the Communicative Style of the HPEG of Albuquerque (1999). The research investigates the lexico-grammatical choices made in the transitivity system to uncover how the speaker´s world experiences are construed in the texts produced. It also investigates how the kinds of messages of the Communicative Style of the HPEG are expressed in the texts. The results show that Material and Relational processes are the two main processes most used by politicians. These choices are used as persuasive strategies as they express what the candidate has done and/or will do in case he is elected. They also tell the community that the candidate has the qualities and abilities desired in a politician.

Com um corpus constituído por 197 textos de diferentes gêneros — livros, artigos científicos, boletins informativos, apostilas, dissertações e teses, artigos de divulgação, cartilhas, artigos escritos por meliponicultores, trabalhos apresentados em congressos, textos publicados em sites na internet e apresentações de slides —, buscouse descrever termos que circulam no âmbito desse domínio especializado, bem como identificar suas variações terminológicas. O levantamento dos termos foi feito com o auxílio do programa WordSmith Tools e a organização do glossário, com o programa LexiquePro, ferramentas computacionais que propiciam agilidade e precisão ao processo de extração e organização das unidades terminológicas. O glossário está organizado em ordem alfabética nas duas versões e, na versão eletrônica, também apresenta um sistema de busca analógico, por campos semânticos. Ao todo, apresenta 523 verbetes, dentre os quais 177 são compostos por variantes e 147 são ilustrados, distribuídos em nove campos semânticos principais e 18 subcampos. A escolha da Meliponicultura como temática justifica-se pelo fato de esta atividade estar em plena expansão, não só no Brasil, mas em todo o mundo, e, sobretudo, pela projeção socioeconômica que ela representa para o Estado do Pará, especialmente por seu alinhamento com os conceitos de diversificação e uso sustentado da terra na Amazônia. Acredita-se que a organização de um produto socioterminológico sobre a Meliponicultura e sua disponibilização à sociedade representa, antes de tudo, a importante função da pesquisa terminológica de organizar e disseminar o conhecimento, visando favorecer a comunicação entre os interessados por essa atividade, entre eles meliponicultores, pesquisadores, docentes e estudantes. Embora este trabalho tenha tido como foco dados escritos, assumiu-se a premissa de que os dados linguísticos devem ser analisados em seu contexto real de uso, pois partiu-se do pressuposto de que não se pode entender a língua como um fenômeno isolado de variáveis extralinguísticas e sem relação com seus usuários. / This dissertation presents a printed and an electronic version of an illustrated glossary of Meliponiculture, the beekeeping of stingless bees, developed within the theoretical principles of Socioterminology. The corpus was composed of 197 texts belonging to different genres, such as books, scientific papers, newsletters, brochures, dissertations and theses, popular articles, booklets, articles written by beekeepers, papers presented in congresses, documents published on the Internet and slide presentations. The main goal was to describe the terms in use within the field of Meliponiculture, as well as their associated variations. The WordSmith Tools software was used to extract and process automatically the overall data and helped to build the potential lexical items of the glossary. The freeware LexiquePro was also adopted to organize the terminological units. The glossary is divided into 9 main semantic fields and 18 subfields. There is a sum total of 523 lexical entries, 177 of which are variants and 147 are illustrated. Both the printed and the eletronic versions are organized alphabetically. In addition to that, the eletronic version of the glossary offers a system of analogic search, based on semantic fields. The choice of a subject on Meliponiculture is justified by the fact that this activity is booming, not only in Brazil but all over the world and, particularly, because of the socioeconomic impact that it represents for the State of Pará, Brazil, by its alignment with the concepts of diversification and sustainable usage of land in the Amazon. Developing a socioterminological product about Meliponiculture and making it available to community represents, above all, the important role of terminology research in organizing and disseminating knowledge, in order to facilitate the communication among those interested in this activity, including beekeepers, researchers, professors and students. Although this study focuses on written data, it assumes the premise that language must be analyzed in its real context, since it cannot be understood as a phenomenon apart from its extralinguistic variables such as context and users.

Em 1954-1956 a primeira mulher assume uma diretoria seguindo-se hiatos dessa presença; 1963-1965 participam três mulheres e novo hiato; 1972-1984, quatro sindicalistas assumem o poder. Na atualidade são oito mulheres entre dezenove diretores, ao todo 116 homens e 18 mulheres na direção. Interessa avaliar os condicionantes dessa situação, supondo-se que a sub-representação feminina deve-se às atividades extra-profissionais e ao padrão cultural sexista persistente nas instituições. Baseado na análise de gênero bidimensional de Fraser, conclui-se que a baixa presença feminina no poder sindical articula-se a fenômenos explicitados nas respostas das lideranças sobre representações dos papéis masculino/feminino desmistificando a ideologia do trabalho feminino como apoio ao masculino. Embora sendo o espaço sindical masculino e nele transitem os dois sexos, urge criar condições paritárias numa junção classe/gênero pautando na agenda sindical demandas femininas, assim gênero faz diferença. / This dissertation research to social and political participation of business in the direction of the Trade Union of Employees of Pará - SEC / PA founded in 1926. In 1954-1956 the first woman takes a board according to presence of gaps; 1963-1965 involved three women and a new gap, 1972-1984, four union leaders take power. Currently eight are women between nineteen directors, in all 116 men and 18 women in direction. Appropriate to evaluate the constraints of the situation, assuming that the under-representation of women is due to extra-professional activities and the pattern continued in the sexist cultural institutions. Based on analysis of two-dimensional genus of Fraser, concluded that the low presence of women in trade union power is based on responses to phenomena out of leadership roles on representations of male / female demystify the ideology of women as support to men. Although the space union men and to pass the two sexes, need to create conditions in a joint junction class / gender agenda based on union demands female, so gender makes a difference.

Usando o Paradigma do Mercado Religioso e a Teoria da Dádiva, proponho avaliar a celebração, tomando como ponto de partida uma análise da Diretoria da Festa, que é a instituição que promove a celebração religiosa. O propósito desta avaliação é apontar a convergência entre as duas teorias. Ao longo do trabalho, discuto a gênese e a expansão da celebração, assim como a relação entre a Diretoria da Festa e os devotos de Nossa Senhora de Nazaré. / This work discusses the organization of one of the larger saint’s Catholic feasts of Brazil: the Círio of Our Lady of Nazareth, in Belém, Pará. Using the Religious Market Paradigm and the Gift Theory, I propose to evaluate the celebration, taking as point of departure an analysis of the Diretoria da Festa, which is the institution that promotes the religious celebration. The purpose of this evaluation is to point out the convergence between the two theories. Throughout the work, I discuss the genesis and the expansion of the celebration, and the relation between the Diretoria da Festa and the devotees of Our Lady of Nazareth.

Parte-se do evento da prisão de padres e posseiros, da cidade de São Geraldo na década de 80 do século XX, como evento fundador do movimento ecumênico. A história é tratada de um ponto de vista de sua relação com a cultura, sendo assim a história adquire um sentido simbólico para a prática religiosa do ecumenismo entre igrejas cristãs. / This dissertation has as an object of study the ecumenical movement formed by Christian churches in the city of Belém. It was focused in a specific way a historical beginning of the movement in this city. In the description that was done here, it was used the symbolical anthropology as a methodology of interpretation of data. It was understood that the prison of priests and possessed people, in the city of São Geraldo in the 1980’s, as a founded event of the ecumenical movement. The history is explored in the point of view of this relation with the culture, in this way the history obtains a symbolical meaning to the religious practice of the ecumenism between Christian churches.

Para o levantamento dos dados, utilizou-se a tecnologia social Etnofarmácia, desenvolvida e aplicada em parceria com a comunidade, envolvendo a aplicação do formulário etnofarmacêutico aos usuários do SUS e profissionais de saúde, o que permitiu uma análise quanti - qualitativa dos dados. Os resultados indicaram que a utilização de plantas medicinais pela população entrevistada é uma prática intensa e se deve, em parte, à dificuldade que os usuários do sistema têm em acessar os medicamentos sintéticos prescritos nas Unidades Saúde da Família (USF) do município e ao baixo padrão de renda das famílias entrevistadas. Quanto aos profissionais de saúde, os resultados indicam sensibilidade dos mesmos ao tema e disposição para prescrição, desde que se tenha disponível capacitação, protocolo clín ico e plantas medicinais nas USF. Para compor o Memento Fitoterapêutico, foram selecionadas as espécies: Chenopodium ambrosioides, Linn. (mastruz); Eleutherine plicata, Herb (marupazinho); Mentha pulegium, Linn. (hortelãzinho); Coleus amboinicus, Lour. (boldo) e Arrabidaea chica, Velrt. (parirí), segundo os critérios de frequência de citação, perfil epidemiológico do município, interesse do Ministério da Saúde e manejo da espécie. / The use of medicinal plants in the district of Benevides: Elaboration of the phytotherapeutical compendium and Introduction of the Politics of Medicinal Plants in the district of Benevides are a research, developed with the objective of lifting the vegetable species used by users of SUS and health's professionals, integrated in the health strategy of the district's family of Benevides, with views to the elaboration of the phytotherapeutical compendium of the district, as first step the institution of the district was used developed by Ethnopharmacy, with application of the Politics of medicinal plants. For the rising of the die, the meth form Ethnopharmaceutical to the users of SUS and health of professionals, that it all owed quantitative and qualitative analysis of the die. The results indicated that the use of medicinal plants for the population interviewee is an intense practice and it is due to the fact of the access difficulty to the synthetic drug prescribed in the U nidades Saúde da Famíla (USF) of the district for the users and the low pattern of income of the interviewed families. With relationship to the health's professionals the results indicated, sensibility of the same ones to the theme and disposition for pres cription, since it has available training, clinical protocol and medicinal plants in USF. For composition of the phytotherapeutical compendium, were selected, the Chenopodum ambrosioides, Linn (mastruz); Eleutherine plicata, Herb (marupazinho); Mentha pule gium, Linn. (hortelãzinho); Coleus amboinicus, Lour. (boldo) and Arrabidaea chica, Velrt. (parirí), according to the criteria of citation frequency, epidemic profile of the district, interest of Ministério da Saúde and easiness of propagation of the species.

Tendo como hipótese inicial o desequilíbrio entre oferta e demanda de gado, o estudo está dividido em duas partes, onde, na primeira, é pesquisada a pecuária em si, quanto à discussão científica sobre a sua viabilidade na Amazônia e sua evolução recente no estado do Pará. Na segunda parte, trata-se da instalação da grande indústria de frigoríficos na Sudeste paraense, o aumento da capacidade de abate e o desequilíbrio com a oferta de gado bovino. No contexto desse desequilíbrio, são avaliadas tanto as causas externas, tais como a exportação de gado vivo e a crise financeira internacional, quanto domésticas, em particular a atuação das organizações não governamentais, das políticas públicas e do relacionamento entre pecuaristas e frigoríficos. O estudo conclui que a crise foi causada por um conjunto de fatores estruturais e conjunturais. Os fatores conjunturais inserem-se no contexto da inserção da pecuária paraense no mercado internacional, afetado pela crise financeira internacional, pela exportação de bovinos vivos e pela política industrial do Governo Federal. Os fatores estruturais são aqueles relacionados à estrutura fundiária concentrada e ao modelo de pecuária extensiva instalada na região, ainda marcado por infrações das leis ambientais e trabalhistas, e pela relação de desconfiança entre pecuaristas e frigoríficos, onde o mercado ainda não foi capaz de criar uma estrutura de governança onde os agentes possam equacionar seus problemas. / The present research analyzes the roots of 2008 crisis in cattle ranching in the state of Pará, focusing on the conflict between farmers and meatpackers from a multifaceted approach. Having as initial hypothesis the imbalance between supply and demand of cattle, the study is divided in two parts. In the first, it is researched the cattle ranching activity itself, particularly the scientific about its feasibility in Amazon soil and its recent evolution. The second part addresses the installation of the big meatpacker plants in the Southeastern region of Pará, its increase in slaughter capacity and the imbalance with the supply of bovine cattle. In the context of this imbalance, both external causes, such the exportation of live cattle e and international financial crisis, and internal causes, particularly the role non-governmental organizations, of public policy and the relationship between farmers and meatpackers. The study concludes that the crisis was caused by a combination of structural and conjunctural factors. These conjunctural factors are inset in the context of the insertion of the cattle breeding of the state of Pará in the international markets, affected by the international financial crisis, by the exportation of live cattle and by the industrial policy of the Federal Government. The structural factors are those related the concentrated land property structure e to the model of extensive cattle ranching model adopted in the region, still plagued by the breaching of environmental and labor laws, and by relations of mistrust between cattle ranchers and meatpackers, where the market still wasn’t able to create a governance structure where agents can solve their problems.
