Text in German and English / This MTh dissertation is about the meaning and change of the pastoral position and role as it is reflected in pastoral theological literature of the last thirty years. For this purpose different concepts of work satisfaction are described and applied to the pastoral context. Furthermore, results of empirical investigations among ministers in German speaking and various other countries are discussed and aspects of job satisfaction of pastors are presented. This is followed by an investigation of changing expectations regarding the pastoral role which affect the job satisfaction of a minister. A comparison of two church orders (1991 and 2003) from Chrischona Switzerland demonstrates the changing job descriptions of pastors within a freechurch denomination. The final chapter is a discussion of some pastoral theological consequences of the relation between changing job descriptions and job satisfaction. / Philosophy, Practical and Systematic Theology / M.Th. Bakgrund: Uteblivna patientbesök är ett problem som påverkar sjukhusen ekonomi men även patienternas hälsa. No shows är ett uttryck som används för de patienter som utan att meddela ej kommer till bokade besök och denna patientgrupp riskerar i högre grad att insjukna akut samt förvärra sitt sjukdomstillstånd genom att utebli. No shows ger även en stor ekonomisk belastning på sjukvården. Patienter som avbokar eller väljer att ej närvara vid besök, där bland screeningpatienter, löper en högre risk att insjukna akut än de som deltar vid screening. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka faktorer till att patienter uteblir från besök vid röntgenavdelningen. Metod: Denna studie genomfördes som en allmän litteraturöversikt. Artikelsökningen gjordes i databaserna PubMed samt Cinhal och resulterade i 15 artiklar som svarade mot syftet. Resultat: Orsaker till uteblivna besök sammanställdes i sex huvudgrenar; rädsla, praktiska faktorer, ålder, administration, familj och socioekonomisk status. Slutsats: Liknande resultat återfinns i studier vid andra avdelningar och resultatet kunde således generaliseras. Mer forskning behövs om varför dessa huvudgrenar påverkar att patienterna ej kommer på sina besök. Det är av vikt för röntgensjuksköterskan att veta om orsaker till uteblivna besök för att kunna jobba mot en förändring som kan förbättra både sjukhusens ekonomi men även patienthälsan. / Background: Missed appointments is a problem that effects the hospital economics and the patients’ health, No- show patients is a term for patients thats without informing don't come to their booked appointment.This patient’s group has a higher risk of falling ill urgently or aggravate the already existing disease. A patient cost too the health care system is bigger when they miss booked appointments. Patient’s who decline or select not to participate in screening also increases their risk of falling ill. the Screening patients that’s participate decreases risk of sickness or finding it early. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine factors to no show patient’s in radiology. Method: A literature review was conducted. Articles searches using databases PubMed and Cinhal resulted in 15 articles that’s matched the purpose of the study. Result: Six different factors/reasons was found, fear, practical factors, aged, administrations, family and social status. Conclusions: Similar results was found in study’s in other departments of the hospital and there for a generalization was possible. More research needs to be done in to how the seven main branches actually effects missed appointments and no show patient’s. It is of importance to the radiology nurse to know the reasons so they can work towards a positive change in both hospital economics and patient’s health.

Approximately 8.3% of the U. S. population has type 2 diabetes. Preventing the onset and improving the management type 2 diabetes are crucial for health care professionals. The purpose of this project was to develop and evaluate a type 2 diabetes prevention and management education program in a primary care setting using group medical appointments (GMAs). The chronic care model provided the framework for the study. The education program consisted of information from the Centers for Disease Control on the management of type 2 diabetes to be delivered by clinic staff using a GMA approach, a timeline for implementing the education program, and evaluation strategies for assessing patient health outcomes. Staff participants included 9 females and 1 male. One week after the presentation, staff responded to open-ended questions addressing the plan for prevention and management of type 2 diabetes. Findings indicated that staff unanimously approved the content of the program, thought the program could realistically be implemented, thought the proposed evaluation methods were appropriate, and thought the program would have a positive influence on patient health outcomes. Prevention and management education programs using a GMA approach may be used to reduce incidence and improve management of type 2 diabetes.

It is a well known fact that in recent years the United States Senate has increasingly become more critical of presidential appointments to the Supreme Court branch. In this thesis the author has undertaken an intensive study of the several cases between 1916 and 1930 in which, serious opposition developed to the confirmation of Supreme Court appointments. Within this period fall the unsuccessful fights against Justices Brandeis,Taft, Butler, Stone,and Hughes,and the successful opposition to Judge Parker. In each case an effort has been made to bring out the forces and arguments operative on either side of the controversy, and to establish the fundamental motivation underlying these several manifestations of senatorial discontent. The intensive study of this question has been limited to the period from 1916 to 1930. As a preliminary background, however chapter one has been devoted to a rapid survey of the confirmation struggles arising over Supreme Court appointments of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and in the concluding chapter, brief reference has been made to the subsequent record of Chief Justice Hughes, to illustrate the false premise upon which some of the struggles have been founded. In the concluding lines,the author has attempted to state what he believes to be the only justifiable grounds for future attacks upon presidential nominees to the Supreme Court of the United States.

[pt] Esta dissertação de mestrado explora a seleção dos Ministros do Supremo Tribunal Federal do Brasil. Tem por escopo oferecer estudo descritivo e detalhado sobre os dados e discussões sobre o assunto. Para tanto, quatro tópicos foram elaborados e concatenados. Primeiramente, são apresentados os aspectos jurídicos da progressão da forma de ingresso e as normas que são base à relevância atual da Suprema Corte e seus juízes. Em seguida, essa exploração é expandida com a demonstração da aplicação prática da norma por parte dos agentes oficiais competentes. Como isso atrai muitos debates na literatura acadêmica, o terceiro item é responsável por classificar as críticas existentes ao modelo vigente. Por fim, o mesmo é feito quanto às proposições de modificação do sistema, filtrando e organizando as Propostas de Emenda à Constituição atinentes ao tema. / [en] This master s dissertation explores the selection of the Ministers of the Brazil s Federal Supreme Court. It intents to offer a descriptive and detailed study about the data and discussions about the subject. In order to do that, four topics were elaborated and concatenated. Firstly, the legal aspects of the progression of selection and the norms that grounds the current relevancy of the Supreme Court and it s judges are presented. Following, that analysis is expanded with the demonstration of the pratical aplication of the norm by it s official competent agents. As that attracts a lot of debates in the academic literature, the third item is responsible for classifying the existing critics about the current model. Lastly, the same is done with the propositions for reforming the system, by filtering and organizing the Constitucional Amendment Proposals related to the theme.
