D. Th. František Norbert Hrachovský, O.Praem (1879-1943) was a regular priest in the Premonstratensian monastery in Nová Říše. He has been covered in the beatification process of Pavel Souček and his fellow-friars from the Premonstratensian monastery in Nová Říše. This work I submit deals with the life and, in particular, the work of this Czech regular priest, philosopher and translator. It is divided into four chapters. The first chapter introduces the sources used while compiling this work. The second chapter presents its critical biography. The third chapter is entitled "Bibliography" and presents an entire list of his work: monographs, translations, contributions to various anthologies, and newspaper articles. The fourth section contains a summary of his bibliography in the time sequence, in which D. Th. František Norbert Hrachovský, O.Praem created his works. This work aims to provide a basis for appreciation of the work and to evaluate the life of this notable member of the Premonstratensian Order.

The goal of the thesis Language biographies and social networks of the Czech minority members (on example of Czech-Croatian and Croatian-Czech bilingualism of Czechs in Croatia) is to contribute to the knowledge of language behavior of the Czech minority members from Czech or mixed Czech-Croatian families living in Croatia. Language is one of the basic identity attributes of both individual and group of individuals. Being a social phenomenon, language has got two basic functions: the communicative function (as a communication device) and the identifying function (an individual identifies themselves with a group through the use of a certain language). The author of the thesis strives to describe the language processes that are going on in compatriot families, and the factors which affect maintaining the language within the national minorities, on the example of the Czech minority in Croatia. The first part of the thesis introduces the Czech minority in Croatia since the times of the Czech's moving into Croatia, their organizing within the minority or founding of Czech associations and schools, up to the present form of existence, minority organization and Czech minority status in the laws and statutes of the Republic of Croatia. Warum finden manche junge Erwachsene, trotz guter Voraussetzungen, keinen passenden Beruf? Diese Arbeit versucht Antworten auf diese Frage zu geben. Berufsfindung ist integraler Bestandteil der Individualentwicklung - und diese ist im Kontext institutioneller und struktureller Rahmenbedingen zu sehen. In Strukturperspektive auf Lebensverläufe kann im historischen Vergleich die hohe Varianz von Übergangswegen aufgezeigt und die allgegenwärtige Rede von 'Entgrenzung' relativiert werden. So zeigt sich, dass vor allem das Hochschulsystem verlängerte Übergangswege von der Schule in den Beruf ermöglicht und damit breiten Raum für 'Selbstverwirklichung' und Moratorien lässt. Mit der Problematisierung gängier Akteurskonzepte der Soziologie zeigt sich aber auch, wie die Bewältigung der Berufsfindung subjektiv problembehaftet erscheint, wenn Defizite in der Ausbildung von berufsrelevanten Interessen, in der Entscheidungsfähigkeit und dem Selbstmanagement bestehen.:1. The main objective of this work is to expand knowledge about the history of the 1st Air Transport Squadron, from the time it was established in 1946 until it was disbanded in 1993. Findings are based on interviews, with former members of the transport squadron serving at Ostrava Mošnov Airport, which were directed using the oral history method. The work also takes information from available archive sources and literary sources. The distinctiveness of the topic (an elite air transport squadron entrusted with special purpose tasks within the army), which is put in historic context, is reflected in the text. However, the author places the greatest emphasis on the conditions of a professional soldier's everyday life. The author does not present definite conclusions, on the contrary, he endeavours to view the specific issue from various viewpoints. The soldiers serving with the air transport squadron are not portrayed as extraordinary supermen, but as men and women for many of whom serving with the air force was not simply satisfaction of their enjoyment of flying, but was also hard, demanding and, frequently, very dangerous work, which was not always undertaken for personal benefit, but because of their deep connection with their country, and which strongly affected not only their own lives but also...

This master's degree thesis, adhering to the genre of contemporary history studies, depicts the lifestory of Ivan M. Havel. Theoretically it is grounded in personalism, especially regarding to works of Ch. Mounier and M. Scheler and establishes as the primary point of reference the phenomena of individual personality, uniquely embedded into the surrounding social world. From this basic tenet the explanation is built towards the understanding of general categories, using the contexts and traditions, in which the personality had been engulfed. This thesis makes use of both oral history method and archival sources and documents study. Ivan M. Havel can be understood within enduring context of his family's intellectual, civic, political and entrepreneurial tradition, where several specific phenomena stand out. First the non-partisan spirituality, second the emphasis, laid of socially responsible conduct of business; third the stress, laid on achieving broad education, going beyond established domains and disciplines and fourth the sociability, spanning over all of these attributes. Ivan M. Havel's biography is therefore traced mainly within the period up to the 1989 year, since the childhood, deeply influenced by his grandfather H. Vavrečka, through his coming of age, spent close to the Šestatřicátníci literary...

A considerable amount of information can be found about Pavel Z., but it is incomplete, his biographical data is listed only vaguely, usually in the form of short medallions. Most pieces about Pavel Z. are mainly written in connection with the so-called process with "Plastic People" or in connection with his artistic work. Mapping the life of Pavel Z., among other things, not just through his words and the testimonies of his close ones, is a probe into the history of a prominent personality, persecuted during the so-called normalization regime in Czechoslovakia and operating abroad, and a look back to his roots. Last but not least, it also represents an example of specific human thinking, and therefore serves as a mirror embedded in contemporary society.
