Kulturhelt og einstøing : Representasjonen av bonden i nyere norsk dokumentarfilm / Culture Hero and Loner : Representations of the Farmer in Contemporary Norwegian Documentary Film

Årseth, Tor Martin January 2014 (has links)
In the new millennium, there has been produces a number of documentaries about the Norwegian farmer. The use of documentary expressions varies a lot, but they have some commontraits. This thesis takes a closer look at some of the documentaries about the farmer. The goal is to give a better understanding of the common traits of the representation of the farmer in contemporary Norwegian documentaries.

Peterson Strandman, Arvida January 2013 (has links)

Lundberg, Kristina January 2008 (has links)

The research consists in investigating how masculinities of students were configured in the pages of the student newspaper O Bonde, it was written and reproduced in Escola Superior de Agricultura (ESA) and Universidade Rural do Estado de Minas Gerais (UREMG) between 1945 and 1963. It is a research of changing nature, I mean, I was leaving towards the investigative paths that the study offered without a sealed direction, thus, a methodological strategy was one of the others. It occurred, thus, a bibliographic investigation of primary and secondary sources and a documental research with analyses of content and in the way two interviews were accomplished. The objective from this investigation was to catch and to put in doubt the “bonde” discourses about the masculinities built in that time, and these catchings were done in almost time totallity of the newspaper, with cuttings from 1945 until 1962, since the newspaper stopped its activities in 1963. The perceived masculinity in the newspaper corroborates with the hegemonic discourses about the dominant masculinity, in the local level (school) but that also reflects the Brazilian society of that age. In the relation between the students it was possible to capture other masculine subjectivities as: agricultural, bohemian, sports and delicate. These made up the scenario of differentiation that some of these masculinities sought to assert as a student identity. The questions of the research occurred mainly from “foucautianos” studies, besides the dialogues with others theorists from the areas of genre, In the relation between the students it was possible to capture other masculine subjectivities as: agricultural, bohemian, sports and delicate. These made up the scenario of differentiation that some of these masculinities sought to assert as a student identity, history, daily, sociology, memories, narratives among othes; The newspaper “O Bonde” was a masculine invention of students from ESAV in decade of XX, and the institution has concreted as a local of masculine study in the upstate of Minas Gerais - Brazil, with its rules and teachings of rationality and morality, originating aspects of a “esaviano” spirit. Quotations that the school inherited from the American model (Lant grant colleges) under which it was founded. The masculine newspaper was invented under a hard daily of study and researches, a “safety valve” of the boys that have been spreading their jokings, vigilances and “the foras alheios” in this midiatic pedagogical dispositive. It is narrate a daily full of resistances, transgressions, tactics, strategies, ironies and multiple performances. Therefore, the newspaper was motioned under the conflicts, acceptances and reconfigurations of its discoursive practice. It has been circulating for eighteen year, the newspaper brought the “esaviano” daily imbricated by the privacies, sporting practices, relationships and claims. The whole discoursive gamut was published in permanent sections as sports, social and separated sections: “Garoto Viçoso e Caneladas” besides the sections of gossips: “Venenos e Veneninhos; Fatos e Boatos; Crônicas da Semana; Ronda Esaviana; Coisas que incomodam na ESAV”. The newspaper “O Bonde” is a wealthy material in discourses and imagens about how boys that institution put in practice the discoursive construction of a patriotic, heroic masculinity involved in a group of friendship living in a setting of communit.

The diet and feeding of the pelagic goby, sufflogobius bibarbatus, off Namibia

Riaan Brinley Cedras January 2009 (has links)

The general diet of Sufflogobius bibarbatus in the northern Benguela upwelling ecosystem was investigated from gut content analysis in two separate studies. The first study was conducted over two 48 h diel sampling stations onboard the RV Dr. Fridtjof Nansen during a dedicated cruise conducted in January 2006, whilst the second was conducted on cruises of opportunity aboard the RV Welwitschia during 2001 and 2002. The results of both studies indicate that S. bibarbatus has a fairly generalised diet, feeding on benthic and pelagic animals for the most part: phytoplankton was uncommonly reported from the 3739 fish examined. Larger fish ate primarily benthic organisms, whereas smaller individuals include substantial number of pelagic organisms in their diet. There would appear to be a clear relationship between the environment occupied by individuals and their diet: large fish are predominantly demersal and display limited vertical migration, whilst small fish are thought to be more pelagic. Results strongly indicate that this species is opportunistic. The present study sheds new light on the ecology of the species, which is becoming increasingly important in the region.

PARA NÃO PERDER O BONDE: FORTALEZA E O TRANSPORTE DA LIGHT NOS ANOS 1913-1947 / Not to lose the bonde: fortress and transport of Light in the years 1913-1947.

Modernização urbana e mobilidade: itinerários do bonde em Santiago do Chile, 1857-1934 / Urban modernization and mobility: tram itineraries in Santiago, Chile, 1857-1934

Soto, Elisabet Prudant 08 May 2018 (has links)
This thesis provides an in-depth history of the first mode of transportation intended for public and collective mobility of passengers that circulated systematically through the streets of Santiago de Chile. The tramway was the citys most used transit system until the 1930s. The proposed analysis adopts a dialectical perspective that aims to reconstruct the contribution of such vehicle to the modernization of the Chilean capital. For that purpose, the tram is conceived as a socio-technical artifact that produced urban mobility, and at the same time as an emblematic product of the needs and expectations the ideology of progress introduced into the Chilean society. The aim of the thesis is to study the importance of the tram in three levels or, rather, making three stops along its historical itinerary: as a device that articulated specific relations of production; made possible the introduction of new mobility technologies that modified the ways in which the population recognized the city; and facilitated the conception and organization of circulation in the urban imagination.
