Τα συστήματα διαχείρισης περιεχομένου εξελίσσονται συνεχώς προσφέροντας περισσότερες και πολυπλοκότερες υπηρεσίες προς τους χρήστες/διαχειριστές. Παράλληλα, πλήθος σχεδιαστικών τεχνικών και σύγχρονων τεχνολογιών, που έχουν προταθεί από την παγκόσμια ερευνητική κοινότητα, φαίνεται να κερδίζουν έδαφος στην υλοποίηση τέτοιων συστημάτων, προκειμένου να αντιμετωπιστούν θέματα όπως είναι η μεταφορά ψηφιακών δεδομένων και η ευελιξία στην υλοποίηση επιχειρησιακών λογικών. Αυτό έχει ως αποτέλεσμα τη βελτίωση των διαδικασιών παραμετροποίησης, με τέτοιο τρόπο ώστε να δίνεται η δυνατότητα στους προγραμματιστές και σχεδιαστές εφαρμογών να χρησιμοποιούν ποιοτικά και αποδοτικά APIs και προγραμματιστικές τεχνικές. Επιπρόσθετα, τα οφέλη της χρήσης των προτύπων και τεχνικών είναι εμφανή στην ανάπτυξη βοηθητικών εργαλείων, την επίλυση κοινών προβλημάτων και την επικοινωνία μεταξύ διαφορετικών συστημάτων διαχείρισης περιεχομένου. Στα πλαίσια αυτής της διπλωματικής εργασίας μελετούνται σχεδιαστικές αρχές, πρότυπα και προγραμματιστικές τεχνικές, οι οποίες εφαρμόζονται για την υλοποίηση ευρέως διαδεδομένων συστημάτων διαχείρισης περιεχομένου. Απώτερος στόχος είναι η ανάδειξη θεμάτων σχετικών με τις τεχνικές διαχείρισης πληροφορίας που έχουν εφαρμοστεί και η αξιολόγηση των εργαλείων που έχουν αναπτυχθεί σε σύγχρονα συστήματα διαχείρισης περιεχομένου, όπως είναι το Drupal, το Documentum και το Alfresco. Επιπλέον, υλοποιείται σύστημα για την επίτευξη επικοινωνίας του Drupal με απομακρυσμένο αποθηκευτικό χώρο, μέσω Web Services. Με αυτό τον τρόπο προτείνεται περιβάλλον ικανό να χειριστεί πληροφορία εκτός του συστήματος του Drupal και αναδεικνύεται η σπουδαιότητα της αρθρωτής αρχιτεκτονικής και της επεξεργασίας περιεχομένου σε υποσυστήματα διαφορετικών εξυπηρετητών. Στα πλαίσια της υλοποίησης αυτής χρησιμοποιήθηκαν τεχνολογίες και γλώσσες προγραμματισμού php, XHTML, Javascript, AJAX για τα modules και την παρουσίαση σε περιβάλλον Drupal, EJBs και JPA για την υλοποίηση της επιχειρησιακής λογικής και των Web Services σε ξεχωριστό εξυπηρετητή. / The evolution of the Content Management systems provides more complex services towards users. In parallel, various design patterns and modern technologies, which are suggested by the scientific community, are implemented for these systems, in order to confront issues such as digital data transportation and implementation of business logic. As a result, the system developers and designers of the applications are able to configure the system via a sophisticated environment with APIs and using modern programming techniques and technologies. In addition, the benefits we gain using standards and techniques appear during the process of developing new tools, the communication between different Content Management Systems and on solving common problems. This essay focuses on various design patterns, programming techniques and standards, which apply in implementing famous Content Management Systems. Our main goal is the suggestion of issues related to the content management techniques and the evaluation of tools, which are used by the modern Content Management Systems, such as Drupal, Documentum and Alfresco. Eventually, a system was implemented, which concerns the communication between the Drupal and a remote repository. More specifically, Web Services, Database with useful material and several Drupal modules were designed and implemented. The main purpose of this approach is the suggestion of a sophisticated environment, in order to manage information out of the Drupal repository, using the benefits of modular architecture. The technologies that were used for the implementation on Drupal environment were PHP, XHTML, Javascript, AJAX and for the implementation of the remote system were EJBs, JPA and Web Services (Proxy, Business Services).

Σε αυτή την διπλωματική εργασία πραγματευόμαστε το αντικείμενο της αυτοματοποιημένης ανάπτυξης διαδικτυακών πυλών. Σχεδόν κάθε ιστοτόπος μπορεί να κατασκευαστεί είτε εξολοκλήρου με την συγγραφή κώδικα από την αρχή είτε με την χρησιμοποίηση ενός συστήματος διαχείρισης περιεχομένου (Content Management System – CMS). Στην εργασία αυτή μελετήσαμε τα συστήματα αυτά και αναλύσαμε μερικά από τα δημοφιλέστερα ανοιχτού κώδικα (open source) συστήματα. Κάνουμε μια συγκριτική αξιολόγηση αυτών όχι μόνο βάσει των χαρακτηριστικών τους αλλά χρησιμοποιώντας τα για την ανάπτυξη διαδικτυακών κόμβων εμπλουτισμένων με όλα τα σύγχρονα χαρακτηριστικά. Σκοπός είναι να δούμε στην πράξη τα πλεονεκτήματα και μειονεκτήματα των συστημάτων αυτών καθώς και να αναλύσουμε πότε αξίζει να τα χρησιμοποιούμε και πότε αξίζει η υλοποίηση ενός ισοτόπου με την συγγραφή κώδικα από την αρχή. There are a lot of freeware and commercial content management systems developed by IT companies and individual developers. Notwithstanding the diversity of these content management systems, all of them have one single purpose – manage content of the web site by separating presentation from business logic. This document investigates a content management system designed to be used by organizations. The model of a trivial content management system is modified into the content management system for organizations by introducing concepts of information objects and a structure of an organization. An experiment has been carried out to test the new content management system model. The experiment results proved the assumption that the suggested new content management system model is more effective than the trivial content management system model.

Pagrindiniai šios sistemos kūrimo tikslai yra šie:  Suteikti vartotojui galimybę greitai pasiekti reikalingus informacinius resursus;  Suteikti vartotojui galimybę be papildomų programavimo įgūdžių įkelti naują knygą;  Suteikti vartotojui galimybę koreguoti, atnaujinti ir šalinti sukurtą elektroninę knygą;  Pritaikyti apsaugos priemones, kurių pagalba būtų apsaugotas elektroninių knygų turinys nuo galimų plagijavimo atvejų. Įmonės stengiasi kuo dažniau ir greičiau atnaujinti informaciją apie įmonės pasikeitimus, siūlomas akcijas, paslaugas. Todėl įmonės turi samdyti žmogų, kuris galėtų jiems atnaujinti jų informaciją internete, tačiau susiduriama su kita problema – nemažos specialisto samdymo kainos. Įmonės nenorinčios daug investuoti į darbuotojų atlyginimus renkasi turinio valdymo sistemas, kurios nereikalaujant specialių programavimo žinių leidžia lengvai ir greitai keisti įmonės informaciją internete. Online social interactions differ from face to face interactions and lack the non-verbal cues leading a learner to procrastinate, decreased motivation, feelings of isolation and high drop out rates. Existing research illustrates a need for social awareness information in online education, and this research studied the impact of the visual presence of social information on a learner's sense of connectedness and learning using Rovai's (2002) classroom community scale (CCS). Specifically, the study examined if a learners' sense of connectedness is improved with the exposure to others' social awareness information; and if and to what degree learning advanced due to the improved sense of connectedness. <br>Two, 5 X 1 between-subjects one-way analyses of covariances compared connectedness and learning scores of five social awareness information disclosure groups (appearance, educational, contact and personal information disclosure groups and control group). Although the study did not find evidence of exposure to social awareness information having an impact on learning, the findings confirm the claim that social awareness provides a sense of connectedness. The type of social information presented in the educational category (last degree earned, major and educational year) provided a strong relationship compared to other categories studied. <br>Educators, course designers and content management companies will benefit in recognizing that social awareness information positively impacts online educational participants by providing a sense of connectedness when presented with educational related materials. The development of social awareness support within a learning management system can improve an online learner's experience and enhance the quality of online education. Σχεδίαση ενός ιστότοπου για το Εργαστήριο Συστημάτων Υπολογιστών, με λειτουργικό σκοπό την κάλυψη των αυξημένων αναγκών για δυναμικό περιεχόμενο και πολύγλωσση υποστήριξη παράλληλα με τον εκπαιδευτικό χαρακτήρα της ενασχόλησης με σύγχρονες τεχνολογίες Διαδικτύου. Ξεκινώντας από την σχεδίαση ενός πηρύνα για την εφαρμογή, περνάμε από τις φάσεις της ανάπτυξης ιστοτόπων και τους μηχανισμούς που αυτές απαιτούν, για να καταλήξουμε στην πλαισίωση αυτού του πηρύνα με μια πλήρη λειτουργική υλοποίηση. / Designing a Website for the Computer Systems Laboratory,aiming to meet the increasing needs for capacity content and language support in addition to the educational aspect of dealing with modern Internet technologies. Starting from the kernel to design an application, we go through stages of development sites and mechanisms are required to arrive in the framing of this kernel with a full perational implementation.

Målet med detta projekt har varit att migrera och förnya webbplatsen visitfjallen.se. Sidan innehåller ett brett register av olika företag inom områden som upplevelser, boende och restauranger i Sveriges fjällkedjor. Den tidigare webbplatsen var omodern och byggd på ett kostsamt system som saknade flexibilitet. I detta arbete har webbplatsen flyttats till det flexiblare och mer lättskötta systemet WordPress. Sidan har också moderniserats ordentligt och fått en hel del förbättringar och nya funktioner. I stället för en par enkla textrader med information har varje företag nu fått en egen profilsida med plats för stora mängder av information. Bland de helt nya funktionerna finns exempelvis egna kontaktformulär och möjligheten för besökare att lämna recensioner för bolagen. Företagen har också fått en integrering av sociala medier med egna knappar för Facebook och Twitter. Flera företag som finns listade på Tripadvisor har även fått detta integrerat på sin sida. Inloggade besökare kan nu spara sina favoritföretag genom att markera dem som sin favorit. Eller lämna en recension för bolag de har åsikter om. De flesta av de nya funktionerna har erhållits med hjälp av tillägget Geodirectory till WordPress, vilket är ett utmärkt och heltäckande verktyg som specialiserat sig på webbplatser med omfattande företagsregister. En betydande del av arbetet bestod av att flytta den stora mängden bolag med tillhörande information till den nya webbplatsen. Registret var möjligt att överföra via en kalkylfil, men informationen i den den exporterade filen var rörig och innehöll 900 rader med data som behövde sorteras och struktureras upp rad för rad. För att dela upp arbetet gjordes därför filen i episoder om ungefär 200 bolag åt gången. En stor del av webbplatsen har byggts upp med hjälp av sidbyggar-verktyget Beaver Builder. Verktyget har varit användbart och påskyndade processen med att konstruera det stora antalet sidor som var nödvändigt för att bygga upp den nya Visitfjällen.se. Den färdiga webbplatsen uppfyllde de flesta av beställarens önskemål och det nya utseendet för visitfjällen blev i slutändan mycket uppskattat.
