In this research study, the correlation between culture and gospel is investigated by examining changes in the interpretation of the cross of Christ from Early Christianity up to present times, using the method of paradigmatic analysis designed by David J. Bosch. Following the concept of the Missio Dei within mission theology, this study aims to find a perspective on the event of the cross which is relevant for today's practice. With reference to the topics of cultural context, sin, sacrifice, vicariousness, cross and mission, this study shows that in every paradigm the diverse perspectives of the interpretation of Jesus' death were explicable and helpful within their relevant contexts. It can also be seen that in its objectives, message and practice, mission correlates with the respective motifs prevalent at the time. In conclusion, after determining the proper place of the results within the concept of Missio Dei in mission theology, the study examines the relevance of these results for the Missio Christi, in order to offer a contribution to the debate and a potential perspective for explaining the significance of Jesus' death in the current German-speaking cultural context. / Christian Spirituality, Church History & Missiology / M. Hierfür wird zunächst die täuferisch-mennonitische Gemeindearbeit auf ihre zugrundeliegende Theologie und Ekklesiologie untersucht. Als nächstes wendet sich der Fokus dem zweiten Ansatz, der Missionalen Theologie zu. Auch hier wird die zugrundeliegende Theologie und Ekklesiologie untersucht. Die notwendige Zuspitzung erfolgt durch die Eingrenzung auf die Entwicklungen in Deutschland. Nach dieser synchronen Herangehensweise können beide entfalteten theologischen Ansätze miteinander verglichen werden. Anschließend werden praktische Folgerungen gezogen, ob und inwiefern beide theologischen Ansätze miteinander kompartibel sind und welche Integrationsmöglichkeiten lohnenswert erscheinen. Hierbei wird die inhaltliche Nähe beider Ansätze deutlich. Die Missionale Theologie scheint der täuferisch-mennonitischen Gemeindearbeit eine Chance zu bieten, durch Ganzheitlichkeit und Kontextualisierung mehr Relevanz für die Gesellschaft zu entwickeln. / In this research, two theological approaches are examined for commonalities and differences. For this purpose, the Anabaptist-Mennonite church work is first examined for their underlying theology and ecclesiology. Next, the focus turns to the second approach, the missional theology. Again, the underlying theology and ecclesiology is examined. The necessary aggravation is achieved by limiting it to developments in Germany. Following this synchronic approach, both unfolded theological approaches can be compared. Subsequently, practical conclusions are drawn as to whether and to what extent both theological approaches are compatible with each other and which integration options seem worthwhile. The content of both approaches becomes clear. Das Ziel dieser missiologischen Arbeit besteht darin, herauszufinden, welche Art von Kirche in einer globalisierten und zunehmend multikulturellen Gesellschaft gebaut werden muss, damit das Evangelium als Gute Nachricht für alle Völker gehört werden kann. Nach der Arbeitsweise der Kontextuellen Theologie wird induktiv gefragt, in welcher Welt wir im Deutschland des 21. Jahrhunderts leben. Anschließend wird die deduktive Rückfrage an die Schrift gestellt, ob sie etwas Grundsätzliches zum Thema einer zunehmend multikulturellen Gesellschaft zu sagen hat. Die Reflektion der Ergebnisse beider Schritte führt zu konkreten Gestaltungsschwerpunkten der interkulturellen Ekklesia. Auf Grund der Forschungsergebnisse werden Thesen zur (missions-) theologischen, evangelistischen, soziokulturellen und politischen Relevanz formuliert. Die vorliegende Studie will einen Beitrag für die Grundlagen des interkulturellen Gemeindeaufbaus geben. In accordance with the method of contextual theology, the question is raised inductively, in which kind of world we live today. Subsequently, a further inquiry is made into the Scriptures: whether they answer fundamental questions about the issue of an increasingly multicultural society. A reflection on the results of both steps leads to the establishment of key points for the formation of an intercultural ecclesia. On the basis of the research results, hypotheses about (mission)theological, evangelistic, socio-cultural and political relevance are developed. The study presented reveals the significant, distinctive features of mono- and intercultural church development. Im Fokus steht dabei die Fra-gestellung, wie die Kontextanalyse von Mitarbeitergruppen der Kirche für Bonn wahrgenommen und bewertet wird. Als theologische Herleitung dient die Aus-einandersetzung mit der kontextuellen Theologie. Anschließend wird der Zyklus Gesellschaftsrelevanter Gemeindearbeit erläutert, der für die Gemeindepraxis der Kirche für Bonn sowohl eine theoretische Grundlage als auch praktischer Leitfaden ist. Anhand des Empirisch-Theologischen Praxiszyklus wird anschlie-ßend eine qualitative Studie mit Gruppendiskussionen durchgeführt, welche an-hand der dokumentarischen Methode analysiert werden. Die Ergebnisse führen zu Thesen und Richtlinien für den Gebrauch der Kontextanalyse. Darüber hin-aus will die Studie einen missiologischen Beitrag leisten, indem die Ergebnisse in einen Dialog mit der kontextuellen Theologie gebracht werden und die Kontextanalyse als eine geeignete Methode für die missionale Praxis der Kirche vor-geschlagen wird. / The purpose of this research paper is to analyze the context analysis as a method for missional church ministry. The focus is on the question how groups of vol-unteers from the Kirche für Bonn perceive and evaluate the context analysis. The discussion of contextual theology serves as a theological derivation. The cycle of society-relevant church ministry is then explained, which is a theoretical foundation as well as a practical guide for the ministry of the Kirche für Bonn. On the basis of an empirical-theological cycle of practice a qualitative study of a group discussion is conducted and analyzed by the documentary method. The results lead to theses and guidelines for the use of context analysis. In addition, the study aims to provide a missiological contribution by bringing the results into a dialog with contextual theology and proposing context analysis as an ad-equate method for the missional practice of the church. / Christian Spirituality, Church History and Missiology / M. Text in German, summaries in German and English / Die Arbeit beschreibt und reflektiert aus missionswissenschaftlicher Perspektive das häufig mit „reverse mission“ bezeichnete Phänomen afrikanischer Mission in Europa. Dafür beschreibt und vergleicht sie drei relevante Perspektiven afrikanischen Ursprungs, um das noch wenig untersuchte Phänomen wissenschaftlich zu fassen. Anschließend wer-den die Ergebnisse missionswissenschaftlich gedeutet und die Rezeption des Phänomens in der deutschsprachigen Theologie und in der deutschen kirchlichen Landschaft unter-sucht. So wird identifiziert, welche Aspekte des internationalen Diskurses in Deutschland besondere Beachtung finden und welche missionstheologischen Positionen dazu vertre-ten werden. Davon ausgehend werden Perspektiven und Desiderate auf dem Weg zu einer multikulturellen Missionsbewegung benannt. / The study describes and reflects a phenomenon of African Missions to Europe, which is often called “reverse mission”, from a missiological perspective. For this purpose it describes and compares three relevant Africanrooted perspectives in order to catch this not jet well researched phenomenon. The results are interpreted missiological and the reception of the phenomenon in German speaking theology and in German churches is researched in order to identify, which aspects of the international discourse are attracting special interest in Germany and which missiological views are advanced.
