This thesis has been produced for my Master's degree in Environmental Education for the Research Group, Education and the Training of Educators, and had as its objective to analyze the production of homosexual activist´s identities. The thesis analyzed narratives of homosexual activists who belonged to the group CELLOS/MG, located in Belo Horizonte. The narratives were produced with the Narrative Investigation methodology. Connections were established with Cultural Studies, especially the post-structuralists, using authors such as Hall, Louro, Silva, Veiga-Neto among others, and contributions of Michel Foucault. Environmental Education is understood as an area of knowledge that has no scientific "mooring cables" of epistemological production inside science, and it is interpreted as a way of giving voice, respectfully and tolerantly, to differences through broadening dialogue to make it more inclusive. This research project relied on authors who theorize about the homosexual movement, such as Facchini, Green, Fry, MacRae, Câmara, among others. It is through the narration of stories within the homosexual movement that activists constitute themselves through multiple discourses. Appropriating information imported from such countries as the United States, and during a dictatorship in Brazil, the 1970s saw the birth of the first actions of a homosexual movement in Brazil. The group CELLOS/MG became an idea in 2001, when a group of students, members and supporters of other dissident organizations, decided to create a group. Four people collaborated with this research project. Rick is 31 years old, white, hemophilic and poor. He joined the homosexual movement through the invitation of a friend. Lucas is 31 years old, medium brown-skinned, and of Indian descent. He did not start his political work in the homosexual movement, but rather in the Catholic Church and as a supporter of the Workers Party (Partido do Trababladores-PT). Vicente is a 43 year old middle-class, white man, who joined the homosexual movement when he moved from Rio de Janeiro to Belo Horizonte, at age 38. Edivan is a 27 year old black man. He joined the movement in Curitiba through the group Dignidade, participated with the group GHAP in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, and then joined CELLOS/MG as the third group he has worked with. When analyzing their narratives the notion of "perceiving oneself as homosexual" emerged in their discourses as the first "trait" of these subjects. The discourse that leads one to "to perceive of oneself as homosexual" is connected, many times, to biological traits. The infantile tricks mentioned by the collaborators can be understood as social practices that constitute sexualized bodies, since three activists referred to them. In our "singularly confessing" society, the importance of the public revelation of a homosexual identity plays an important role in constituting an activist. This "coming out" can be understood as a strategy of groups to achieve the goal of "obtaining their rights". Their words make us understand that "coming out" constitutes a determining attribute for homosexual activists. The homosexual"cause" is characteristic trait of their identity. The discrimination that they have all suffered is also a common trait. As far as CELLOS/MG is concerned, their narratives make us understand that the group worries about the constitution of its activists, referring to this process as "education" [training]. All activists stated that this education [training] took place within the group. Thus, I could work with aspects that indicate how identity and difference are produced within the homosexual movement.

It aims to critically understand conflicts resolution with children from bilingual education contexts and how it may enable them to act collaboratively. This research is underpinned by the concepts of higher mental functions internalization (VYGOTSKY, 1930/1984), zone of proximal development (VYGOTSKY, 1933-35/1984 and NEWMAN & HOLZMAN, 2002) and infant oral argumentation (LEITÃO & BANKS-LEITE, 2006; PONTECORVO, 2005; FARIA, 2004 and OLIVEIRA, 2006), once it uses reflection and argumentation as tools to conflict resolution, contributing to children s higher mental functions development and resulting in the attainment of autonomy. The data collection was made from daily video records of children s school time within one school year thus enabling the recording of conflicts that normally take place throughout children s interaction and also the chronological evaluation of the participants development and improvement. In the interpretation and analysis section, the bilingual educators language mediation is highlighted as well as how they make it possible for the infants to develop collaborative actions, who, by the end of one year, are capable of using argumentative tools for communicating and acting collaboratively in both languages with almost no interference from the teacher. This research is inserted in the social-historical-cultural perspective (VYGOTSKY 1933-35/1984, LEONTIEV 1977- 1978, BAKHTIN/VOLOCHÍNOV 1929/2010 and BAKHTIN, 1981), once it points out the importance of the environment and the social, historical and cultural contexts influence on children s psychological development, especially by the time they begin to speak and master language as a way of interacting in the world. According to Vygotsky: the moment of major significance in the course of intellectual development which generates to the solely human forms of practical and abstract intelligence, happens when speaking and practical activity, so far two completely different development lines, converge (VYGOTSKY, 1930/1984: 11). Once the transformation of individuals as well as their social situation by the use of linguistic instruments is one of the major concerns of this paper, it is inserted in the field of Applied Linguistics (LIBERALI, 2006) in a critic paradigm (PENNYCOOK, 2004). It is a critical collaboration research (MAGALHÃES, 2009), in which the method is simultaneously a pre-requisite and a product, the tool and the result of the study (VYGOTSKY, 1978:65) and aims at analyzing and criticizing the context of action with the goal of transforming it collaboratively with its participants / Este trabalho baseia-se nas reflexões de Vygotsky (1930-33-35/1984) sobre educação e seu papel no desenvolvimento humano.

O lúdico e a constituição de sujeitos no cotidiano de uma escola de educação infantil / The game and the constitution of subjects in the daily of one school of infantile education

Pereira, Reginaldo Santos 19 March 2008 (has links)
The game activities can play a relevant role in the teaching-learning process and in the child's development in the infantile education in their multiples aspects: cognitive, affectionate, social, motor, ethical, aesthetic, among other, and they express the way that a child contemplates, orders, builds and rebuilds the world with his or her way. The development of game activities in the infantile education can restructure the space and time in scholar and, mainly, the established relationships between the children and the knowledge, the children among themselves and their teachers. It becomes important, therefore, that we better know the limits and the possibilities of the game activities in the infantile education and what is in "game" in our children's life daily scholar and teachers. How do they play, for which games they are interested, which are the themes of their games, which objects do they use, how do they use them and why do they make it? In that sense, in this research, we question: how is constituted the daily of the game activity at a classroom of infantile education of the town of Itapetinga-BA? How is the interaction relationship between children and teachers in the educational activities, mainly in those that use game resources? How the intersubjective relationships mediated by the game contribute for the constitution of those subjects in the school? To understand the process of daily organization of the game in a school of infantile education and the relationship of that process with the way of behavior of students and teachers is to implicate in bringing to the reflection behaviors marked by meanings and inseparable senses of the histories of the involved subjects. This research, developed to look for answers to the previous subjects, was built starting from theoretical and scientific beginnings of the qualitative investigation and orientation of ethnography, with the use of interviews with teachers, pedagogic team of an infantile school in the town of Itapetinga-BA; observations in classroom, of pedagogic meetings, documental analysis (pedagogic proposal of the Infantile Education, teaching plannings, notebooks of the children's activities and notebooks of annotations with registration of the evaluations of the child's development, among others). The data of this study showed that the daily of the game activity of the school is configured as a space-time of learnings, even with the limitations of physical space of the Escola Brincando e Aprendendo; a planning for the children's recreation inexists; the daily scholar is structured as a formative space, and the game become as an important tool in the social relationships established among the subjects being configured as potential space of learnings and constitution of the social subject; it urges to invest in the teachers' continuous (and game s) formation and the warranty of better work conditions. We looked for, therefore, in that way, to create itineraries to make possible the (re)construction and/or enlargement of knowledge and reflections concerning the game, as well as the understan / As atividades lúdicas podem desempenhar um papel relevante no processo de ensinoaprendizado e no desenvolvimento da criança na educação infantil em seus múltiplos aspectos: cognitivo, afetivo, social, motor, ético, estético, entre outros, e expressam o modo pelo qual uma criança reflete, ordena, constrói e reconstrói o mundo à sua maneira.

This study seeks to understand the formation processes of teachers that develop environmental education in schools. The research falls into the line of research of science education: teaching and learning processes at schools, universities and research laboratories. The main goals of this dissertation are: to understand the constitution of the teacher as an environmental educator; to understand the concepts of environmental education and environment from the narratives and subjectivity of teachers; to perceive the possibilities and limitations of environmental education in schools from the standpoint of teachers and their motivations for carrying it out in this context; and finally, to understand how the pedagogical practices of environmental education are proposed and developed in the school context. In this investigative path, the methodology used is qualitative and epistemological approaches are phenomenological and hermeneutical in nature. The first condition for participation in this survey was that the investigated subjects were teachers and alleged to be environmental educators. We analyze the narratives of four teachers who alleged to be environmental educators, two who work in kindergarten and two who work in the early grades of elementary school. To collect data we used a semistructured interview scheme. Teachers were then asked to produce a diary of a week of classroom stories. The narratives obtained were transcribed and analyzed through Textual Discourse, a recursive process of writing that begins with the production of units of meaning for further categorization and elaboration of metatexts. From the analysis three categories emerged; each constituted a chapter of this dissertation: (I) The Constitution of the Environmental Educator, (II) Environmental Education in Schools, and (III) Environmental Educations in Classrooms: experiences narrated by environmental education teachers. The expectation of this research is that from the knowledge of the experiences that happened and happen to teachers, from their subjectivities and narratives, one can understand the constitution of the teacher as an environmental educator and, once its constitutional process is known, we can understand how Environmental Education occurs in the scholar context.

This thesis was developed in the Post-Graduate Program in Science Education (Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação em Ciências: química da vida e saúde), in the research line "Scientific Education: implications of scientific practices in the constitution of subjects", in order to investigate the discourses and practices of self that constitute gay, transvestite and transsexual subjects in educational spaces. The study was produced based on the foucaultian theoretical assumptions and Queer theory. The corpus of analysis consisted of narratives produced by gays, transvestites and transsexuals from Rio Grande/RS, with the link between the Thematic Oral History methodology and Participant Observation. For the analytical process, some tools from the Discourse Analysis proposed by Michel Foucault were used. While analyzing the enunciations, we highlighted the emergence of discourses and statements which were problematized in the articles that compose this thesis. Among these, we listed the statement 'the constitution of homosexuality’, which was problematized based on three enunciative scenes: the search for an explanation and/or genesis for homosexuality, the desire as constituent of homosexual subjectivity, and gender issues and their associations with homosexuality. The discourse of heteronormativity was emphasized with enunciations that show how some educational spaces question subjects and effect on their subjectivities. At the same time that they constitute themselves as educational spaces, they seek to lead lives of individuals based on their government strategies. The other analyzed statement was ‘the production of the body and self-(re)invention, which was problematized with the narratives from transvestites and transsexuals on their body fabrication and the production of femininity. The network of produced enunciations allowed us to understand how the subjects who participated in this study are constituted and what are the practices of self and the strategies of self-production involved in the production process of their subjectivities. We highlighted the school and the universitie as institutions in which control and surveillance govern its organization and structure. Also, we problematized the need for articulation between the discussion of the themes of the sexual and gender multiplicities to political-pedagogical projects of educational institutions, seeking to deconstruct some "truths" produced on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transvestite and transsexual subjectivities which, somehow, collaborate for the production of inequality and homophobia. The heteronormativity is expressed and reinforced in different social environments, in gender and sexual controlling norms, reproducing exclusionary and discriminatory practices, given that such norms affect the denial and invisibility of certain subjectivities. From techniques of the self, transsexuals and transvestites bring up different subject positions, challenging, in many cases, the heteronormativity.
